  1. I am using the Helix to control a bank of external pedals using the VooDoo Hex. I control the VooDoo Hex loops using CC messages. Of course, I can use the command center to do this, but manually assigning multiple channel / CC messages to control each loop for each snapshot (or foot controller) is tedious. I doubt live programming the Helix directly using an external app (midi or FBV) is easy (please tell me if I am wrong). Is there documentation on the .hlx JSON format? I could write an GUI editor to facilitate editing the .hlx files then upload to Helix with the Line 6 editor. I can try and use samples to reverse engineer, but it would be better to get official docs. thanks, mark
  2. I'm printing up the manual and cheat sheet for the Helix (c'mon....27th). I'm a documentation junkie with a serious highlighter addiction. My understanding (as read from other threads) is that the interface for specific amps and stomp boxes are modeled on the interface for the originals. In another thread I suggested that we compile a list of links for the original stomps, amps, etc., that are modeled in the Helix. Here is what I have so far. Please note that Line 6 originals are not part of this list. I've done my level best finding actual source content. I've included notes where I felt they were needed. Feel free to jump on correcting anything or adding items. If any of the L6 guys happen to feel the love, I'm number 40 in line at MF, my Gear Head is Tom at 3077, and I would LOVE to be bumped up on that list. :P Distortion Models Minotaur: Klon Centaur https://aionelectronics.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/aion-refractor-centaur-documentation.pdf Compulsive Drive: Fulltone OCD http://www.fulltone.com/sites/default/files/documents/fulltone-ocd-user-manual.pdf Valve Driver: Chandler Tube Driver http://files.effectsdatabase.com/docs/files/chandler_tubedriver_manual.pdf Top Secret OD: DOD OD-250 (note: Not much here) http://dod.com/en-US/products/overdrive-preamp-250-2013#documentation Scream 808: Ibanez TS808 Tube Screamer https://www.ibanez.co.jp/world/manual/effects/TS808.pdf Hedgehog D9: MAXON SD9 Sonic Distortion http://www.maxonfx.com/nine-series-effects-pedals/sd-9-sonic-distortion Vermin Disto: Pro Co Rat http://ratdistortion.com/pdf/RAT2_Sheet.pdf Arbitrator Fuzz: Arbiter FuzzFace http://www.jimdunlop.com/files/manuals/JDF2FuzzFaceDistortionManual.pdf Triangle Fuzz: Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi http://www.ehx.com/assets/instructions/big-muff-pi.pdf Industrial Fuzz: Z.Vex Fuzz Factory (note: I’m not sure this is the correct one, but it is the only one I could find) http://music.codydeschenes.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/ZVex-Fuzz-Factory-Instructions.jpg Tycoctavia Fuzz: Tycobrahe Ocatavia (note: This link is for a replica. 3. Are there any plans to update the POD HD 'manuals' available for download to include sections on the additional models?
  4. For those getting started with a POD Studio GX/UX1/UX2 device and following through the Ableton Live Lite 7 tutorial, there has been some inquiries of confusion regarding page 5/12 in the starting tutorial. There is reference to the Line 6 Audio-MIDI Controller Mapping preferences menu page; if you continue reading down the tutorial, you'll see that this particular section refers to setting up a Line 6 KB37 (UX2 + MIDI keyboard controller) for Ableton MIDI CC mapping assignment. The POD Studio GX/UX1/UX2 is not a MIDI controller device whatsoever; the only two parameters that appear in the Audio-MIDI menu are for Footswitch 1 & 2 assignments only. The inclusion of this content is specific to KB37 owners wishing to try out Live Lite 7. We apologize for any confusion in the documentation to POD Studio GX/UX1/UX2 new users.
