  1. I've been pretty st0ked on this amp I purchased for my small practice studio. But occasionally, even with all the great sounds Line 6 Spider V technology has, I am trying to get just a "clean" signal to the driver. I have a set of the standard outboards pedals for sculpting my sound. But none of the 128 presets or any tweaks I have done to them have given me a sound that wasn't "time-smeared" and colored in a negative way. The real tell-tale is when I am using my RC-2 or RC-10r BOSS looper pedals' drum sounds. The snare and especially the cymbals are all resonating in a weird, mushy way that extends the attacks over a couple dozen ms, taking the definition away. It's not just EQ, which I can adjust for "flat" tone. They sound like crap anyway, and it takes some of the enjoyment away from practicing. This is with all the effects off (no chorus/mod, delay, reverb) in the amp, no distortion or overdrive, and using one of the "clean" amp models, with the preamp gain lowered as much as I can and still get output. If I compare it to my other practice amps - a Roland 30x and an old Fender - the clean channel sound is crisp and tight and the BOSS drum sounds (which are EQ'ed to sound fairly flat out of a guitar amp) work very well. Anybody got a clue or a hot tip how to just bypass all the DSP and feed the power stage in the Line 6 Spider V directly? Am I thinking about this in the right way? Thanks for any help, sincerely!! -JD in San Francisco
  2. So I picked up the Amplifi 75 last year, rocked out with it and used as an AMP it was great. Finally, picked up an Alesis Nitro drum kit and love the thing (much easier to play along on drums than guitar!) BUT I'd like to use the Amplify as sort of a studio monitor with mp3 backing tracks I. Here is the issue: -I plug the iphone into the Aux in the back. volume is lacking...not loud..sounds pretty crappy. - SO...i bluetooth it to the Amplifi and it's really sounds great, louder than I need it to be, better bass, etc, etc. So problem solved? No. I plug the Drums into the guitar input and despite turning of all the effects, turning up the white mix level to 100%, killing everything but the Cab I can barely hear the drums. Which sucks. But if i run the aux in and drums into the guitar in 1/4" jack...great mix but not nearly loud enough (can't even cover the tapping on the drum heads). I've spent waaaay too much time on this and I'm really hoping one of the experts here can help me out. I'd like to not buy a mixer (looked at the Mackie or Berhinger cheap enough but just seems overkill for my middle aged life). I've thought just cutting out the whole AMplifi and using the studio monitor out that the drums have but what that seems a waste... Any tips/thougths etc would be really appreciated! Thanks!
  3. hey everyone I'm a guitarist who records with my Line 6 UX1 and POD Farm, and I'm looking for someone to do some drum tracks for me. A drummer or someone who can program drums for an online collaboration for 2 or 3 songs, even if its programmed drums or a MIDI file I can edit that would work as well, and I'm willing to pay. I'm recording some originals and covers in Reaper and I need drum tracks for the songs. Hard rock/metal songs for now probably one original and one cover. You need to be able to record your drums in your home studio or studio with good quality and be able to send the tracks to me over the internet so I can record guitar with what you played! Please let me know! E-Mail me we can talk over email, facebook, or by phone. It doesn't matter where you live. Here's some other songs I did with my band, Caidema, to show you the kind of style I play in: • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spt0o80FLgs and • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsq_CkjG52k Thank You -Matt • MatthewIan84@gmail.com • www.Facebook.com/CaidemaBand • www.Facebook.com/Mattianalbano
