  1. The power cord for the Pod Go is not really road worthy - as well, I like to have both a back up cord: a cord I leave at my studio at home as well as one in my Gig back. Besides being back ordered, they are also very expensive. Does any have suggestions on options other then buying a direct replacement (which can't be done right now)? Also, the DC-3h unit is 9V 3A - is it ok to use one with higher amps (ie: 9V 4A)? How about one with fewer amps - 9V 2A? Is there a range that will work 3A +/- 14% or some other Percentage? Right now playing with just one cord and that is risky............. Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.
  2. Hello to you all. Hope you all are doing great in there very strange times we live in right now. My question relates to the new Pod Go and maybe members of the Helix family as well. We are just collecting information at this point, The Guitar player in our band will be using both an electric and an acoustic guitar during our gigs. The acoustic will have internal piezo pickpus. I guess this scenario is quite common. The plan is for the guitar player to be able to embed guitar management logic into the device he will be using .... To make an example with Pod Go ... Both the Electric and Acoustic guitars are connected to the Pod Go at all times Only one of these guitar is active at any given time. Preset X on the Pod Go will open up for the Electric Guitar to pass through the Pod, and close out the Acoustic Preset Y on the Pod Go will open up for the Acoustic Guitar to pass through the Pod, and close out the Electric As for the Pod Go... I guess we will have to use the Guitar input for the Electric Guitar, and the Effect Loop Return for the Acoustic guitar. For the Electric guitar .... I guess everything is fine But for the Acoustic .... Do we need to do anything to prep the signal from the Acoustic before it enters the Effect Loop Return Jack .... (the acoustic is a mono source, and is expecting a hi-z input) We are aware that the Effect Loop Return can be set to instrument level. Hope someone here has some clever ideas Additional information: We plan to use the Amp Out port on the Pod Go to feed a voice processor that accepts the Guitar signal to manage and guide additional Harmonic voices generated in the Voice processor. The Guitar management feature then becomes important, as no cables needs to be dis/re connected to get the Voice harmony function to work. Kind regards Nils
  3. Hello everyone, i have to say i am loving my Firehawk FX! and the wealth of information on this forum as well. Here is my question I can get great tones with my strat as well as really good acoustic tones. I am building a custom strat with an LR Baggs piezo bridge in it, because i go from acoustic to electric quite often. How would you guys approach getting a good blended tone? something that sounds like an acoustic and electric are being played simultaneously. I go direct to pa w/ IEM so i am not worried about amplifier coloration. thanks!
  4. Hello everybody! How can I plugin 2 guitars in my HELIX? One électric (guitar in ) and my acoustic guitar? Is it possible? Thanks a lot
  5. Hello, Just wanted to communicate this issue to anyone else who may experience it. I started to feel slight electric shocks through my guitar strings and on the metal stomp buttons on my Pod HD500X. After doing some troubleshooting, I found that it was the USB port on my computer that somehow got bent and was causing the electric shock. When I switched the USB cable to another port on my computer, the shock went away completely. Before you take it in to get repaired, give this a shot and see if it works. EDIT: I have also been told by a guitar tech that incorrect grounding in your guitar can cause this problem. Try using another guitar with your pod to see if you experience the shock. If you do not, it is probably the guitar
  6. Hey everyone, I just wanted to take a minute and share some fun I had with the Helix last week. I work at a church and typically use Helix as my all in one electric guitar rig. Recently, however, I've been using Helix as an effect board running into an amp. Last week I also needed an acoustic guitar for one of the songs so I set that up through Helix as well. Electric guitar through the guitar input, using the 1/4in out and the Acoustic through the Aux input and XLR Out. Worked great! It was great having access to all of the reverbs and delays with the acoustic guitar and it all worked seamlessly together. For many of you, this might not be much of a revelation but I had a lot of fun working it out and using it!
  7. Hi everyone! So I'm trying to figure out the best way to setup my HD500x. For live shows, I use an electric through a fender hot rod deville, an acoustic, and a mandolin. I'd like all of my effects to go through the HD500x for all instruments. But, obviously, I don't want the acoustic or mandolin running through my amp. Ideally, I'd like to set it up to where each instrument would be able to have a separate channel for mixing. But since this is impossible (to my knowledge at least), what is the best way to set this up? For only the electric to go through the amp and the mandolin and acoustic basically be run direct. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a lot!
