Had a small freakout and a minor disappointment. I worked late last night on some tones for this weekend. I turned on my Helix today to practice for rehearsal and a couple of weird things happened; let me fill you in on my set up and then describe the circumstance: For my rig I have a Helix floor unit (FW 3.71) with a James Tyler Variax plugged in. A USB cable is connecting it to my MacBook Pro (14" M1 Pro 2021 running Sonoma 14.4.1) and operating in Logic Pro 11.0.1. I use Logic to listen to tracks (and sometimes build tabs/charts) and I build my Presets using HX Edit (3.70). This morning when I booted up the Helix, I got a notification in HX Edit that the app failed to get preset names citing DSP overload (code -8611). The name of the preset seemed to be "New Preset" but it looked like it already had a string of blocks used from some other preset that weren't at all in the layout I would normally use (because I typically have the two paths running). I power cycled my Helix and then there was the same error message, but the Preset was completely blank. I was able to access other Setlists, but only the Setlist I was working on the night prior created the DSP overload error code. I attempted to restore from a backup which failed due to the same DSP overload error. I then attempted to rebuild the Presets. This attempt also resulted in the DSP overload error. I used FS9 and FS10 to restore much of the Helix to factory. This got rid of the DSP overload error. I then restored from the Backup which previously failed and I have not yet run into the DSP overload error. I unfortunately lost close to two months of work, which thankfully wasn't too bad and I am back up and running, but boy this was frustrating. I perused the forum and saw some input about what people thought the issue might be, but I don't think I saw anything conclusive. Someone commented on using the same versions of Helix FW and HX Edit versions, but all of that is up to date for me. Any ideas? I feel very paranoid now, as if I need to carry my MacBook with me to gigs now just in case this ever happens again... And you'll bet I'll be making Backups more regularly now! Has anybody else received this error code? If you did, did the error ever pop up again randomly?

I already tried install latest updated driver v4.2.7.7, but it didn't work. I also tried installating old driver of v4.2.7.6 and also didn't work. Can someone help me with this, I just bought this a few months already but I still didn't have the chance to use pod hd pro edit at all. Btw, I'm using windows 10 pro.

Attempted the 3.71 update and received error, turned the helix off as instructed in error message and helix will not reboot. it states firmware 3.71 when turned on. Even when I try to do the 7 & 8 reboot the screen reads.... Boot Failure, Entered Update Mode! anyone know how to fix this? placed support ticket in to line 6 but it states 3 days to reply

As I've mentioned in the title of this topic, after the last update of my Hx Effects unit I cannot download any of the customtone patchs and the following message appears in HX Edit - Failed to import setlist file (invalid or unrecognized file (code -8101). Anyone who knows where is the problem...?

Hello, for a while now I am unable to use my purchased Line 6 Helix Native and support also seems to be unhelpful since they just sent me an instruction that is already in a different blog. However this does not seem to work for me. Has anybody faced this issue yet and has any idea on how to fix it? The display of my POD HD 500 is stuck with "UPDATE FLASH" on screen, and nothing more. I've tried to reinstall Flash Memory, I've reinstalled Line 6 monkey, all Drivers and etc, and nothing works. I even tried do Reset (or whatever) by pressing the LEFT button (or any other button) while powering it on, but nothing happens. Just the screen with the "UPDATE FLASH" message, even if it is not plugged into the computer. If someone knows what to do to make it work again, please tell me.

Howdy all, first time posting. I've had my Helix since about late 2018/early 2019. It has always worked without a problem for the past few years. Recently it started giving me the :-28 and :-33 errors. Of course these told me it was time to actually update the firmware since I hadn't done that since purchasing (bad idea, I'm aware. Haha). I got it updated and thought any freezing or failure to boot issues were resolved. But boy, was I wrong. The issues have since gotten worse with updating from 2.3 to 3.1 It has only properly booted once, and then it stopped working before I finished playing my first song for warmups. Since then, I reinstalled the 3.1 update and it has not helped. I either get the :-28 error and it never boots, I get the :-33 error and it doesn't boot and goes into update mode, or it just freezes before booting up. This most recent time trying again it actually booted to my first preset screen, but was frozen from there and wouldn't turn pedals on/off or go into tuning mode. Please help. Since purchasing this unit a few years ago I've since gotten rid of my entire set up and went all digital. I just want to practice my warmup songs and then play. Lmao

So I decided to turn it off and on, but when I did this it stayed in the HX STOMP LOGO and did not start. I tried to reinstall the latest version with LINE 6 UPDATER. To access this option, I turned off my HX STOMP and held down the right button on the next page and in the program it gave me the option to choose my device. I chose it and tried to install it offline and in the traditional way, but in the program it gives me an error. I've already tried different cables and now I don't know what to do. Is there a way to factory reset without using the program? What can I do to solve this error?

I just tried to download the Line6 Updater software (version 1.19) for macOS, and when I open the PKG file, I get the attached error message and cannot install the software. Any suggestions? Thanks, Tim

I've had Helix native installed for a couple of weeks. I use it with ProTools on a Windows 10 machine. When I loaded up my project this morning Native is there but displays an orange bar with "Failed to Connect to DSP Engine. (Device has not been initialized properly. Code -8201)" (This forum doesn't like square brackets) )". I have tried restarting and reinstalling and nothing seems to be working. How can I get back to recording?

I am fairly new to using any kind of impulse response with my Helix as I usually use a Power Stage 170 and a 2x12, but I have recently been toying with the idea of trying out some impulse responses, as I had received a few "free" ones from a couple YouTube channels, I decided to load them up in my Helix LT, the one I got from Glenn Fricker loaded up fine. the ones I recieved from Ola Englund however did not, when loading them into HX Edit, 3 of them work fine, the rest give me this error message: "HX Edit was unable to import IRs into this set due to the following errors: -2- out of memory condition" I did some searching around and figured out that I am receiving this error because of the size of the IRs, the ones that won't import are all 237kb, while the ones that worked fine are significantly smaller, at 59kb and 6kb. is there anything I can do to make the larger ones work with my helix?

hello guys,I’m running into some problems ,I downloaded the monkey and wb hd ,monkey have difficulties recognizing my guitar,I had to pull of and on the cables couple of times and so with workbench,both programs recognize(when they do) my standard as a jtv (I think it’s not right) and when I try updating the variax flash i get an error code code 80009000 (I’ll post the pic) i later managed to try all the usb on my acer aspire 3 laptop and i was able to let it be recognized as a standard by both monkey and wb hd(still had to plug and unplug several times), but the error code when flashing persists. the guitar has another weird problem,when i select custom one on the model selector knob and i switch model by the 5position switch,the guitar blinks on or 2 or 3 times (sometimes 1 sometimes 2 or 3) on the tuning knob and freezes,i havwe to remove the battery to make it work again...please help guys ,thank you.

Problem: After upgrading to their Mac OSX system, some mac users found that some apps can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. A dialog box pops up, click "OK" button and the application will close. Solution: Make sure you have dragged the installer package to /Applications to complete the installation. Our users have found that dragging the package into the Applications folder works best. This package appears after the installer .dmg file is opened. Problem: If you try to open the installer you downloaded, and you are blocked by the Mac System. You may need to disable the Gatekeeper within your system preferences. You may see a prompt like this: Solution: 1. Go to “System Preferences” then “Security & Privacy”. Under the General tab, you will see a message at the bottom, “Line 6 Updater.pkg was blocked from opening because it is not from an identified developer.” 2. Click on “Open Anyway” and the application will be opened. -
I'm getting an error message when trying to export individual HX Stomp presets in HX Edit v. 2.71. The error message is -401 - Access to a file is denied. I've got the latest firmware version on my Stomp, so not sure what's happening here. Export setlist and create backup both work fine. I'm running Mac OS 10.11.6, could that be an issue? Any help would be appreciated, thanks! Screenshot attached...

Hey Line6 Forum. So i just Reinstalled my Win10 . And installed all the nessecary software for getting back on using PodFarm. But when i try to Authorize my Device or my UX2 the license manager wont recognize my Add'ons. Podfarm works and all but all my packs i used before wont appear in licence manager anymore. and when i try to install Add'ons the authorize failes with the "Error (Code 80000002) Invalid Parameters" Tried everything from Compatability mode and Administrator but nothing works. Im stuck with a useless audio interface.... The pictures shows me going through the authorize process. Anybody knows whats wrong??? Regards Jonathan

After 8 years really good working my UX2, after Mac Os reinstall to new hard drive, won't get a licence for a pod farm( everything else works well like outputs inputs and drivers). It says to reconnect usb cable(replace 2 of them already) or connect to support. Error code 8000710B. ESN :None Latest drivers, monkey and licence manager. Screenshots on attach. need help

Hello, I need help, i download some presets or patch and when I try to import there are a messasge error "Failed to import one or more presets [code-8103] ", what can i do? I dont know why but its not my first patch I tried to import... Some help pls i paid 13€ for this presets and now doesn't work :wacko:

Hi, My shortboard has developed a fault. It powers up, the volume and wah lights flash once and the display says LINE 6 - then nothing happens. None of the buttons work. I've tried different cat5 cables. Any ideas? Is there a way to reset it? I'm using it with a Pod X3 Pro. Thank you.

G70 will not update. Progress bar never gets beyond 80%, sometimes it times out with an error at 0% and everything in between. "Firmware Update Failed An error has ocurred. Please try again." Done this probably 50 times, downloaded the update locally and tried updating from there. No luck, no help. Any ideas?

hi I bought device on internet a week ago and I got today. and when I trying to update on computer, but it's not working constantly with some reason( I don't know what is problem... (I did follow their saying 100%) -One interesting things, to make updating mode, I turned on, pressing A and C, BUT It should be appeared 'updating...' but it shows FX S&Q. what the heck is it? so I tried to update on tablet which is android, but it says, "Firehawk Remote has lost its data connection to the device". and It's not working. besides I tried with iphone, I can't even open firehawk remote.,, I did any answer from line6 page which is forgetting device(bluetooth), reinstall the app, anything. Plus-+ my version is 1.01. (I think it's the lowest version.) please help me. thanks
