  1. Hello all, Wanted to see if you all could help me with this...so I typically use my stomp with just one expression pedal with a TRS Cable, and all works great. I attempted today to use a second EXP in conjunction with the first one, using a Y-split cable (tip & sleeve into one exp pedal, and ring & sleeve into the other). To my surprise, this didn't work the way I expected. Using either exp pedal going one full sweep starting from heel to then toe position, the stomp reads 0% to 100% only halfway through the sweep, then goes back down to 0%...at the toe position..?! So for one motion of my foot from heel to toe, the stomp goes 0% to 100% to 0%. I am baffled to say the least and I have tried changing every settings for EXP in the Global Settings but he has yet worked. If you guys have had experience with this issue, please let me know. Thanks
  2. Hi team I experienced this when first building my Helix system, and an afternoon with a multimeter, cable ends and a soldering iron had me sorted. I do see this pop up from time to time, and figured I would document my findings/actions for others to understand what's going on when this 0-100-0 sweep happens. Walkthrough doc with photos attached. It might not be 100% correct, but it's what worked for me :) Helix EXP TRS-TS Cable.pdf
  3. Please help, I have a Helix LT and bent the built-in pedal. I purchased the Mission Engineering EP1-L6 and saw on another post that instructs to plug into the EXP1 port. I don't have a EXP1 port! When I plug in and use the pedal, its only functioning as a volume pedal. I went into HX Edit and right clicked the "position" where I can select EXP Pedal 1 and EXP Pedal 2. Pedal 2 shows Volume, I can see EXP Pedal 1 shows (Pitch wham: Position) EXP Pedal 2 now shows (Multiple 2) but when I adjust the pedal it's still a volume pedal. I am able to get Wah with EXP Pedal 2, but it seems to be a combo of Volume and Wah. Heel position is zero volume The Volume isn't selected. Screen shot attached. I don't see an easy way to make the pedal operate as the pedal 2 Wah. Please help! Thanks in advance. Ron
  4. Not long ago I started using the MidiCC59 applied to a foot switch on the control centre to switch between EXP1 and EXP2. This has suddenly stopped doing what I expect it to do, and I can't seem to get into EXP2 either with MidiCC switching or the toe switch........it's bending my brain! If it helps, i use this because my wah block is set to bypass on EXP1 at 5%, in other words, as a switchless wah. However, I want to also use EXP2 as a min/max speed controller for my Rotary block. I was using MidiCC59 and a short Midi cable from out to in with thru off to enable this Midi switching approach and remove the need for toe switch to be used. It HAD been working perfectly, but now not.........any experts out there??
  5. hey, how can i create a snapshot, in which i have a volume pedal in the beginning, and when i press the toe-switch of the expression pedal i get a pitch wham effect (0 at heel-position, +12 at toe-position) ? I already tried it several times and it didn't work. most of the time both effects where at exp1 even if i assigned one effect to exp 2 ... probably an easy question for you pro's. thanks!
  6. Having trouble saving Exp2 parameter changes. Trying to set exp2 to control Delay mix but the patches all revert to Time instead of mix. Anyone else have exp2 trouble?
  7. I just got the helix a few days ago and i love it but a few things is bothering me. If EXP1 is the expression on the board why doesn't it work? it only work as EXP1 when something is plunged in the second EXP. ill assign a Wah to EXP1 for the position movement and nothing will happen, so ill assign to EXP2 then i will get movement. when a cable is plugged in EXP2 the board expression pedal will work as EXP1. i hope I'm making sense cause I'm getting annoyed with the thing.
  8. I just bought a Helix, and have been playing with presets and even created my first custom preset. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to switch the expression pedal between EXP1 and EXP2, which are set up for volume and wah respectively on some presets. All I can get from it is volume control, but can't switch to wash mode. I have seen mention in the manual of a hidden toe switch, but I can't figure out how that works. Hints? Clues? 6stringnazi
  9. I assigned my FBV pedal (Exp2) to a delay feedback block with a minimum value and maximum value. Now when I choose that patch, I can add more delay feedback with the pedal. However, it seems to be active as soon as I hit the patch. Sometimes this is not appropriate depending on where the pedal happens to be at the time. I'm having to bring the pedal back to minimum for the default setting while playing that patch. I'd like to avoid that extra 'step' (see what I did there?) Is there a way to tell the patch to keep the default delay feedback setting I programmed it with, UNLESS I start using the pedal?
