Hi Everyone, I'm seriously considering to buy the Amplifi 75 and also the FBV Shortboard MKII. I've been reading the threads here and I must say I don't feel confident enough to buy them because I don't have a service center or anything nearby I can return them to. Once I buy them, they are with me for life. As I read, after the 2.x firmware update, Android can control the Amplifi as well. Could you tell me anything about this? Are there connectivity issues or anything else? How has been your experience so far? I have an Android phone (Xiaomi MI3), I'm hoping this will work with it but ideally I'd like to use my Microsoft Surface Pro 3 with an Android emulator running on it to emulate a tablet. Or is there another way to control it from Windows (10)? Are there any major differences between the phone and tablet version of the app? Despite all the problems people are experiencing, are they worth to buy? Thank you in advance. Cheers!

Hi I have a line 6 vetta 2 whose output section stopped working while in storage. Anyways I just bought pod farm 2.5 with the studio ux1 interface and I was wondering if there was any way that I could use the long floorboard from the vetta with pod farm?? I don't know how the hookups work I just know that it uses something like a cat 5 Ethernet cable to transmit and receive information. Any help is appreciated. Thank you -
I just picked up a Flextone III XL and a new FBV Shortboard MKII (great combo btw, I love it). It looks like everything is laid out all the same as the standard FBV Shortboard, except it would seem Function 1 now controls the FX loop on/off, and Stomp controls the Compressor. What does Function 2 do? I've read an old post that says it does nothing, but there are Line 6 default presets that light up Function 2 when I switch to them and other presets that turn the light off when I switch to them. Only a few of the presets I have tweaked on the Flextone itself, and none of them were tweaked while the shortboard was connected as I just got it last night. So it would seem it does SOMETHING, but I can't find any info on it. Just to cover all my bases, the Shortboard MKII had the latest firmware out of the box, and the "new to me" Flextone III was re-flashed with the latest 1.10 firmware along with an A+D factory reset before I started playing with it to make sure it was as "factory fresh" as possible. Hello, I recently purchased a FBV Mk II to go with my Spider IV 15 watt amp. My computer does connect just fine to the board via the USB interface, however none of my adjustments on the computer that I save seem to affect the FBV at all. Suggestions? Help? Thank you <3

Hi We are using our DAW (reaper) to change presets on our POD HD Pro and POD HD Pro X through MIDI during our live performances. Now we would like to add some looper-functions and give us the ability to get the sound of 3 guitars simultaneously which would be awesome! I've found all the looper MIDI-values necessary i the manual but from what I've understood you can only access "Looper-Mode" when having a FBV-pedal connected int the POD?! Is this correct? In that case, is there any workaround? It would truly sting if we were forced to buy a FBV just to be able to use the looper-function since we'r already using MIDI to control everything else..

Hello there, Recently started playing in a band and bought an old Vetta 1 simply for sound and the FX and pedalboard. I have flashed 1.03 works fine except can't get the Vol and Pedal 1 to work as they should. IOW Select any amp and Vol does not work and neither the Expression pedal. Strange enough there are some presets where either of them works OK.. Any suggestions? Tried almost everything and getting a bit stressed. Pretty OK with s/w, flash, parameters and programming. Hopefully there is a simple solution out there. Thanks.

What's the difference between the 'FBV Express MKII' & the old one 'FBV Express' , beside the USB thing? is there any perfomance differences? (like maybe MKII can change patches [A B C D] faster & smoother than the old one ; the MKII pedal has more responsive ; etc) I just got the old one, 'FBV Express' & it worked well with my POD HD Pro X Do I need to get the new one (MKII) ? -
I picked up a Spider IV 30 and a FBV Shortboard MKI. Can I make them work together or have I wasted some money? Where can I get a manual for the FBV Shortboard MkI, they don't have them on the Line 6 webpage? Thanks for any info you can supply me. David

Hey all, I've got a cracked LCD on my FBV (longboard) that goes with my Vetta II. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement LCD? I know that Full Compass sells replacement Line6 parts... but, they don't have a listing for the FBV LCD specifically. A model number would be a big help. Any help would be appreciated.

Surely its time now for a new FBV pedalboard. Colour coding. Nice big display for the names. don't need any controls anymore just the expression pedal and the footswitches. link to the amplifi TT or whatever......use the iPad for everything else. or how about a bluetooth one?

So I just got the FBV Shortboard MkII a couple of days ago and I've figured most of it out but I can not for the life of me figure how to get the tap tempo to work with a delay that I have on my Pod Hd Pro X. I've figured out how to assign certain effects to my shortboard but I just can't get the tap tempo to work. Thanks in advance for anyones help!

hello my AMP is Line 6 Spider IV I have noticed that it has FBV pedal input which is same as LAN cable... I was thinking is there any way to switch between channels via computer? any software or any other way? computer can communicate via LAN port and send packets... there will be some way to give AMP order to switch channels -
Hello Everyone! I've been recently experiencing some issues with my spider valve hd 100 mki head, and I was wondering if any of you have experienced similar problems or might have an idea as to what is going on. Basically, i play in a ska/punk band, so it requires a lot of switching between my clean and distortion channels with my pedal. Sometimes, when playing live, i will go to execute a channel change with my FBV express pedal, and it will either not switch channels at all or switch to a random channel. If i flip the amp on and off again, it will temporarily solve the problem. I took the cable and pedal into guitar center and was fooling around on some of the solid state line 6's for an hour/hour and a half with no problems at all, so i can conclude it is not the pedal or the cable. Any suggestions? Thanks

I've been recently having problems with my FBV Express MKII Pedal and I cannot seem to diagnose what the problem is. In short, I play in a band that requires a lot of switching from clean to distortion tones. When I'm on stage playing and trying to execute the changes, the pedal will either not switch to the correct channel or will not switch to a different channel at all. Do you think this could be a calibration problem, cable problem, or problem with the pedal itself? Thanks

I purchased a FBV Express MKII for my Spider IV 15 so I wouldn't have to go to my amp to change channels. I figured it would be as simple as just using the provided CAT-5 cable to connect the Pedal to the amp. When this didn't work I went through the process of calibrating it at least ten times. The calibration process worked. It went from 1 to 4 and all seven lights lit up. I unplugged it from the amp and reconnected it only to have it do nothing. I spent about an hour trying to find a USB cable to connect it to the computer to use the Line 6 Monkey to update it only to have it be fully updated. I preformed a factory reset just to be safe. I re-calibrated it to the amp and still nothing. So I then used the Line 6 FBV Control to program the pedal only to still have it not function with the amp. Does anybody know how to fix this? -
Anyone know what the functions of the FBV Express and FBV Shortboard are with this amp?

Hi everyone, I added a Voodoo Lab GCX to my rig and I'm experimenting with using my FBV Shortboard MKII to send it MIDI control change messages through the POD HD Pro. I have it working where I can hit my FS1 button to toggle Controller #80 on or off through channel 16. The only thing that needs improvement is I was wondering if it would be possible to have the LED on the FS1 stay on when the value is 127 (On) and have it off when I toggle the button again. Is this doable? Thanks, Anthony

After updating to new firmware (1.01) and app (1.2), fbv express changes preset to A, B, C, D of only bank 1. Whenever I try to change preset via ios app (ie bank 3, preset B ), tone changes accordingly but when I use fbv express to change the preset after selecting the bank with ios app (let's say preset C of current bank) it automatically loads preset (ie C or which button you pressed) of bank 1. So, Selecting Bank 3 - Tone B via ios app -> amplifi loads the tone properly -> Push the button C of fbv express mkii -> ios app and amplifi loads the Bank 1 - Tone C instead of Bank 3 - Tone C So, currently I can use fbv express mkII only with first bank, limited with 4 presets. Anyone with same experience?

Just acquired an FBV longboard to use with a POD X3 pro. Volume and wah pedals and their lights work, but the LCD display doesn't light up and none of the buttons or their lights work. Has anyone else experienced this? Update: Ok, saw someone else mention in another post the ribbon cables inside the FBV coming unconnected. Sure enough, took off all the screws and popped it open, two of the ribbon cable connectors came loose. Popped them back in and now works fine. My question now is: What kinds of solutions have others used to keep the ribbon cable connectors from coming loose? I noticed there was a sort of white caulking substance laid around the connectors but obviously they didn't work (they seem kind of soft). Need something I can feel confident will not come loose during a show.

Hey guys, Love this forum, so helpful compared to some out there. I am looking to sell my ENGL (dont need 150w) and use my POD X3 a bit more - i have some great patches downloaded from Reece Fullwood (Mask of Judas) and Drewsif Stalin - I recommend you check out these guys if you havent heard of them - i nearly quit when i heard Reece! Anyway - i have a 2x12 laney ironheart cab and an X3 bean - I was wondering..... I see the X3 bean has a FBV input on it - does this mean I could purchase the FBV pedal and a power amp and i would be able to run my POD sounds live with the ability to switch around with the FBV? I am desperate to get rid of my ENGL and 4X12 (moved outta my folks house into a top story apartment and my band practices miles away where we have to carry the gear down a long path.... I cant stands no more!!!!! Help me friends!!!! Lenny

Alright, I have a question hopefully someone can answer. I own a Line 6 Spider Jam amp and i want to make better use of the recording function by going hands-free. If i bought the fbv express mk2 would i be able to control my recording (start, stop, overdub)? via the footpedals or is that only possible on the fbv shortboard? Thanks Ben

Hi there... I've Googled round for a lot of my answers, but just need some final confirmations. I have just got the UX2 and now I am after an expression pedal. Not too fussed about assignments, I just want a basic wah facility. Is there a cheap and cheerful solution? What about the FBV MKII - will this work with the UX2? Cheers, Lee PS - no metronome on the UX2 - have I missed something?

I bought the FBV Express Mk II for my son about a month or so ago. It works fine in terms of sound, but it has an annoying squeak when he works the Wah pedal. Our usual solution is to crank the volume up but I kinda think this should only be temporary. :) If it's just a case of lubing the shims on the pedal shaft/axle I'm happy to do that provided it won't invalidate the warranty. Or does this indicate a fault and I should return it for a replacement? Amazon are usually pretty good with that sort of thing. It just seems a bit unnecessary if it's just some dry surface friction. I have a spider iv 75 amp with FBV shortboard connected. Can someone tell me why the volume is so high when I turn it on? I have lower and raise the pedal to get the volume back under control.

is there not a way to connect my MKII Shortboard via USB and download new tones to use on my Spider III 150w amp head? ALSO, isn't there a way I can connect the MKII and "fine tune" my effects I currently have on there? for example: custom naming my banks/presets... etc etc. just getting started on this and any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks, ace
