Although the FBV 3 is fully compatible with the POD HD, POD HD Pro, and POD HD Pro X, the footswitch labels do not line up with the corresponding functions as compared to the FBV Shortboard MKII. The FBV 3 has been redesigned and it no longer has a Function 2 footswitch. What previously was assigned to the Function 2 switch on the Shortboard MKII is now done with FS 1 (Set List Select Mode On/Off) on the FBV3. The footswitches that were labeled Stomp, Modulation, Delay, and Reverb from the Shortboard are now FS 2 - FS 5 on the FBV3. Function 1 (Looper Mode On/Off) remains the same between both pedals. Also, when assigning stompboxes to footswitches, the POD will not correlate to the FBV 3, it will be off by one. So FS 1 on the Pod corresponds with FS 2 on the FBV3, and FS 2 on the POD is now FS 3, etc. See the figure below for an example.

Hello there Spider V user. My problem: If I want to use the tab Switch to tab the delay time, it dosen´t work. Also if I use the swich on my FBV3. Is it an function, that can be disabled in the menu of the amp? Would like to get an answer quick, cause I use the feature very often. Regards, Andreas PS: The Spider App does work so bad and there is no Editor for PC. I hope the Line6 Team will change the missing things rapidly. It is so uncomfortable, using the amp at home without an PC editor. Also it would be helpfull, the USB Unit on the Spider can load the tab by using, cause it is impossible to use app and loading with a separat unit at the same time. -
If you're using the FBV 3, or the FBV Shortboard MKII with the Spider V series, you have the option of utilizing an external expression pedal. The external pedal would be plugged into the EXP Pedal jack on the FBV. This is how they interact with the Spider V's patches. On patches without tweak assign to pedal, the external pedal becomes volume, the on-board pedal controls wah position, and toe switch toggles wah bypass. On patches with tweak assigned to pedal, the external pedal controls the tweak-assigned parameter. The on-board pedal controls volume and wah, and the toe switch toggles between wah and volume control.

HELLO! I AM USING AN AMPLIFI150, AND THE FVB3 CONTROL PEDAL WITH LATEST VERSION (1.01.00), I DID WITH THE UPDATES WITH LINE6 UPDATER IN BOTH. I CAN CONTROL THE TONES, SET IN TO MY PEDAL IN THE BANKS, AT THE END EVERYTHINGS WORKS FINE BUT, ALL THE PEDAL BUTTONS ARE ALWAYS IN RED. ALL THE VIDEOS INTHE INTERNET SHOWNS MULTIPLE LED COLORS. IM TRYING THE AMPLIFI APP IN DIFERENT DEVICES, SAMSUNG MINI TABLET, IPAD, ANDROID PHONE, AND ALWAYS IS THE SAME, THE LED COLORS NEVER CHANGE ALWAYS ARE IN RED. ANYONE KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED HERE? Hi, I tried to update the firmware of FBV3 from 1.00.00 to 1.01.00 using Line 6 Updater. However, Line 6 Updater crashed after around 15 minutes and now FBV does not work anymore. It does not power up at all, neither when connected to Firehawk 1500, nor when connected to my notebook via USB. Has anyone else witnessed a similar situation? Any advice? Should I return it for servicing? I have raised a support ticket with Line 6 and am waiting for their response. Best regards. Paweł Szewczyk -
Hi, I've tried to update my FBV3 with lin6 updater software. Unfortunately the update has never finished and I had to close the line6 updater software. Now my FBV3 no longer works ... When I plug it into my Firehawk 1500, nothing happens. Is there a way to bring it back to life ? Please help me, I am desesperate. Thanks everybody.

I saw the FBV 3 Controller at Line6 NAMM 2016. It has a Helix look and feel, works with Firehawk, and supports versions of POD, POD HD and Spider Valve. Thoughts?
