I am running a POD HD500X and the Line 6 Monkey is telling me I have a USB Firmware update from v1.01 to 1.04. Hello, Recently purchased a THH12 to use with one of my XD-35 receivers. I've been reading about "updating" the transmitter. Three questions 1) Advantages of update, 2) Can the THH06 be updated as well, and 3 ) Can I perform the update using the XD-35 or only if I purchase a XD-75 receiver? Thank you

Hello! Upgrading my Amplifi fx100 to 2.10.00, first time (from 1.01.0). Installed Utility, plugged it in USB 3.0 port (Windows 7 64 bit). Launched in firmware update mode. Pressed Next in the update utility. Seeing "Update In Progress. Do not turn off or unplug your device at this time". Progress bar is empty and it's saying "Installing firmware update...". One hour passed with no changes. How to cancel/retry upgrade process without a risk of having entirely broken device?

I don´t know why i can´t install the new usb firmware's update. Some of you can help me please?

Just wanted to report in as a new AmplifiTT user. I'm actually quite happy with the device thus far, but one big issue I'm having is with nonexistent USB connectivity, as I plan to to do extensive recording. Not a single driver set has worked, even with the new Line 6 Amplifi PC-based utility. I simply receive the "USB Device Not Recognized" after connecting the device following a driver installation, and the Line 6 software shows a "No Amplifi Devices were detected." message This is a brand-new USB cable. The most current software driver on the Line 6 site simply do not work. Here is a listing of my platform: Win7 Ultimate 64-bit, latest updates installed consistently 16GB RAM 2600K @4.35GHz 256 GB SSD, 5TB spindle storage Asus Sabertooth Z77 motherboard with most recent BIOS update. Attempting to connect to a known-good USB port simply never works. Anyone else experiencing this problem? Is this a known issue with AmplifiTT? Is an update coming that might possibly address this? Thank you! Rich Grace

I'm guessing that the new global EQ (without throwing any more drama into all this) will fix the whole cab vs, DI brightness issue. What I should be able to do, once it's updated, is get my patches sounding good through my (insert frfr of choice here), and then switch to either cans or PA and roll down the hi cut until the extra brightness is gone, correct? If I bring it down until just before the frfr cab starts to lose top end, then it should be a closer match, if it works right. I always have to end up making lots of eq adjustment when I playing direct with IEMs, and maybe that will be solved soon.

Hi, I have a pod hd500x, which I am using extensively. The other day during a gig in a bar the following happened. I was playing as usual. It was a very noisy song. I couldn't hear my self very good. Then the song ends, everybody stops playing, a moment of silence in the room, except my guitar continues to play. I had accidentally engaged my looper while playing. This was extremely embarrassing. For a moment I just wanted to to existe anymore. :o I like the looper fonction of the pod but it should be possible to deactivate for this type of situation. I looked in the manual but could not find this functionality. Therefore my wish to Line 6 for a future firmware upgrade would be the following: In global settings allow to assign the looper footswitch to either - looper - toggle on/off the 5th assigned FX or Amp in preset mode This would really be helpful. Hello everyone, I've tried to upgrade my Spider IV 75 firmware. It was at 1.04, and I used Line 6 Monkey to upgrade it to 2.0.0. Apparently everything went OK, the Monkey software says it's successful, but after that, it says "This item is installed, but its version could not be determined", and the version number is "Unknown". On the little orange screen in the amp, it says "Ready to update". When I turn off the amp and turn it on again, it says "v2.0.0" for a second and then comes back to "Ready to update", it's stuck there and the amp doesn't work. What can I do? Is there a way to at least go back to the previous version of the firmware? Maybe I can download another firmware version? I'm using Line 6 Monkey v1.68 on a Macbook Air with OSX Yosemite. Thanks!

All 4 tone lights (or ABCD lights on the FX100) flashing is 'recovery mode'. It is the intended behavior after a failed update. If you come across this mode, you must attempt to update the AMPLIFi again. Power down your AMPLIFi. When updating via PC, please connect the USB cable and make sure to boot the unit while holding Tone+Tap (amp, TT) or A+C (FX100) to put your AMPLIFi into Update Mode. Run the Line 6 Updater program found at www.Line6.com/software. For a guide, please refer to http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/amplifi-products/ampl/how-to-update-amplifi-with-a-pc-r701. If you still get failed updates from the Line 6 Updater, try another USB cable and port as well as another computer When updating via an iOS device, Bluetooth works in recovery mode, but the pairing from before the failed update is not maintained. You must press the Bluetooth button and pair again from the smart device's Bluetooth menu. You can then proceed with the update.

Here are the steps needed to update an AMPLIFi with Windows or OSX. The whole process should only take about 5 minutes. Click on each image to expand it. Windows users: First thing that needs to be done is to download the latest Amplifi driver from www.Line6.com/software if you haven't already. Step 1: Download and install Line 6 Updater from www.Line6.com/software. Step 2: Connect the Amplifi gear to your computer with a standard USB A/USB B cable, and then run Line 6 Updater program. Step 3: With your Line 6 user name and password, log into the program. Step 4: Click on the connected Amplifi. Here, we're updating the TT. Step 5: Click on the latest version of firmware from the top of the list. You do not have to install each previous version, just the latest. Step 6: This page shows you what you'll need to do if the update fails (we'll go over this at the end in detail). In the meantime, hit Next. Step 7: Here's the program doing its thing. Step 8: Once done, power cycle the unit. Step 9: Forget or unpair the Amplifi unit from your mobile device's Bluetooth menu. Press and briefly hold the Bluetooth button on the Amplifi until it flashes quickly. On your mobile device, go to your Bluetooth settings and select the device, as it's trying to connect. Once reconnected, launch the Amplifi Remote app. In the event that the update fails, or the gear isn't rebooting properly after the update, you'll need to enter update mode by holding down "Tone" and "Tap" while booting up. If using the FX100, hold down footswiches A and C. Note: If an update continues to fail, please try another computer's USB ports. USB port stability can vary between computers. NOTE TO FX100 OWNERS: After performing the steps below, you must perform a reset and a pedal calibration. Here are the instructions for that: http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/effects-controllers/fx100/post-flash-update-instructions-for-fx100-r645

Some customers with iOS devices will upgrade to AMPLIFi Remote 2.0 without any noticeable differences. Q: The AMPLIFi product box only has iOS compatible devices printed on it. Are there different versions of AMPLIFi hardware sold specifically for iOS and Android? A: No, there are not different hardware versions. Whichever AMPLIFi hardware you get will support both AMPLIFi for iOS and for Android. As long as you have the AMPLIFi Remote App 2.0 on a supported device, your AMPLIFi hardware will work. Finding the App on an Android Device Q: What is the name of the app and where can I download it? A: The app is called AMPLIFi Remote on Play Store (also referred to as Google Play Store) and the Amazon Store. Firmware Updates Q: Do I have to update the AMPLIFi device firmware for Android to work? How can I update the firmware without an iOS device? A: Yes. A firmware update (2.0) is required. We will be providing a Windows PC-based firmware Updater called AMPLIFi Utility at www.line6.com/software, which requires a USB connection to your AMPLIFi device. When customers open the AMPLIFi Remote app on their Android device for the first time, there is a slideshow that points the customer to the Line 6 website to update their AMPLIFi hardware. Customers will download a driver and update utility and should follow the instructions to update their specific AMPLIFi hardware. Hi! I did a firmware upgrade to my spider IV 75 through a fvb mkII pedalboard. The proceder seemed correct. The new efects sounds great, but the pedalboard didn't work again. The display doesn't light anymore and none of the pedals work. It is unable to connect to the computer vÃa USB. It isn't recognized by the monkey. Any similar experience? Any idea? Could the update file be corrupted? Maybe the routine to manage the pedalboard is not complete? Would a factory reset fix the problem? Thank you and excuse my poor english

Having trouble getting my fx100 set up. The device pairs with the fx100 but nothing I do in the app affects the tone in the fx100. It keeps telling me to update the firmware. I have done this and it says successful, but it still continues to say version 1 and that I should update. I have reset the fx100 to factory settings and calibrated the way pedal. Any suggestions before I send it back?

Hello people! I'm brand new to the Line 6 forums. I'm having a few issues updating the Firmware on my LINE 6 M13. The pedal is awesome (when it works). So everything stopped working and i stopped getting sound out of it. When I hook up my cables, you can hear this buzzing when you turn the overdrive effects on, so there definately is a connection there, but when you plug the guitar in nothing comes through. I have of course tested out all cables and everything. So I did some digging and I am on something like 1.07 firmware, and I need to upgrade to the newest one. I've been following the instructions that I found here (http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/effects-controllers/m5-m9-m13/m13-firmware-update-instructions-r364) They are easy to follow but still nothing. I've tried it using MIDI-OX utility. I download the Sysex file, and follow it step by step. When I'm in MIDI OX and I send the file through to the unit, my little USB Midi device lights up (it has LEDS for Midi in and Midi out, and the Midi Out is flashing indicating that it's sending midi data through the out cable). My poor old M13 just sits there, on the display it says 'Waiting command' I get all the way to the end sending the Sysex data over, but it looks like the M13 is not recieving it. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this and if anyone has successfully done it!

Not sure on the firmware version of my Relay G30
lachinelli posted a topic in Relay Digital Wireless
Some weeks ago, maybe a month ago, I aquired a Relay G30 set. Since I live in Argentina, I'm not quite sure if they are just out of the oven. Since I have an important gig this Sunday, and I bought the G30 specially for this type of gigs and I wanted to know the firmware version, so I could use it in RF1 mode (I've read it's safer). I made the 1-6 x3 switch change but I've only got a 1 green blink response, which is no different than what I get when the switch reaches to 6 or 1 in this process. I've made this several times, with the receiver turned on and off as well. If I should trust the results, it seems my G30 has firmware version 1.00, but I'm not quite sure. Is there any other way to check the firmware version? So far at home and at rehearsals it has been working excellent, and I wouldn't want to change to RF2 accidentally so I haven't followed the RF change process. I also check for Wi-Fi routers with my smartphone to select the channel I'm going to use to avoid interference, according to the chart given in the Knowledge Base. -
There has got to be a better way to plug in my HD500 and JTV 89 and edit. Yesterday I was in the studio and had some clicking issues when changing patches and I also wanted to write a DADGAD patch for my JTV. So when I got home... I started Monkey and had to update several things. I forget exactly what I needed to update, but it took a while. Then I needed to open Workbench. So I opened the program and realized that it doesn't work with JTV, (but I need to keep it because I still have a Variax 500.) So I opened Workbench HD. I can't find the JTV Interface and cords. I search for about fifteen minutes and it is where I looked the first time! Oh yeah, I have to have a 1/4 cord plugged in to the guitar jack. Oh no, my battery is dead. I have to charge it overnight... Today, battery charged and ready to go. Everything is plugged in. I open Workbench. It seems to be working so I do some edits and I get a message saying it can't send the preset to the guitar... I go to Line 6 Support and do a search for the exact words of the error message and nothing comes up. I do another search and I'm searching within my current results, so I back out and try it again in the forum, in the knowledge base... Nothing. Am I the only one having this problem? So I try the "Error Code." No luck. I put my problem in my own words and finally get a result that seems to apply that isn't in Japanese or German. The guys ultimate solution was sending his guitar back and getting a new one!? Somewhere in the responses someone mentions a JTV firmware update. I go back to Monkey to see if I have the most current firmware for the guitar. Now the interface is only showing one green light and one red light. I unplug. I plug. I remove the battery. I put the battery back. Somehow I get Monkey to find the guitar. But in the process I realize that I'm now installing the midi interface, which I don't need, and it is telling me I'll need to reboot the computer to complete the installation. Rebooted and read to check Monkey! I have 2.0, I need 2.1. Now Monkey isn't recognizing my guitar again. I unplug. I plug. I remove the battery. I put the battery back. Two green lights! I update the guitar! I go to Workbench HD and it works! ...Almost 24 hours later. "Elegant and user friendly, this is not," said Yoda. I don't even remember why I wanted the DADGAD patch and I'm too frustrated to play even if I could remember. Then end result is fine. I'm a big Line 6 fan. Nice guitar, great versatility, but there has to be a better way to integrate all these updates. I'll bet you Line 6 guys know I'm right and you probably wish it was better as well. I'll bet you'd have a lot more customers. $$$

Greetings, I stopped getting an input signal on my PODxt Pro. I tried various guitar cables, and I reinstalled the 3.02 firmware from the Line 6 Monkey. Nothing else is plugged into the unit other than the AC cable and the input cable. It's clearly not a setting; I can't even get a signal to use the tuner. Seems like a hardware issue, but here's how I've troubleshot this so far; perhaps I've missed something obvious along the way. First of all, it would seem that after some searching, that this issue is not unique to me. Also, for what it's worth, I had (for some reason) version 1.14 of the USB firmware on the unit, despite the fact that the current version was listed as 1.12 in the Monkey. Thinking that this might be the problem, I tried restoring the current version of the USB firmware back to version 1.12, so that they matched. No dice. Repeated power cycles do nothing, and the line level input on the back isn't getting any input signal either. Sending a clean guitar signal through USB doesn't work either, so it obviously isn't getting any signal at the front end. The signal light on the front remains perpetually dark. I have all model packs installed, and the unit has been sitting in a climate controlled rack in a studio, so it is in mint condition. I am at a loss, and am not sure what to do, as I rely on this in my studio. Another follow-up question... Since I rolled back the USB firmware to 1.12, there doesn't now seem to be a way to get it back to 1.14. Most reports I see say that 1.14 is the latest version of the USB firmware, yet the Line 6 Monkey is telling me that 1.12 is the latest. Was there an issue discovered with version 1.14 of the USB firmware such that it was removed from the update servers? I also ran the entire update process again from another computer with a different USB cable. Same deal. Another thing to note is that while the device is fully recognized through the OS, and the MIDI functionality seems to be fine, the audio interface element of the PODxt Pro is not functioning properly. The device is recognized in the Sound System Preference (and the Audio/MIDI Setup) but sound will not come out of it for regular computer sound output (like iTunes, for example.) In addition to this, I just noticed a slight but audible buzzing/hum sound inconsistently coming from the unit, which sounds similar to an alternating current's 60 Hz hum sometimes caused by EMI or a ground loop. I've never noticed this until right now. A power cycle of the unit lessened it to some degree, but it's still there faintly, which obviously causes further concern. Has anyone else with a PODxt Pro experienced anything like this? I'm sure the answer is what I don't want to hear: that I'll need to take it to a service center. Thanks in advance, Jeff

Good afternoon, I'm a proud owner of a PODxt Live for many years; It worked like a charm until a few weeks ago. Starting from the beginning, a year ago I broke the USB connector; Almost a month ago I decided to finally fix the USB port, so I changed the connector to a new one (I'm experienced with electronics), when I turned on the POD to try out the new USB connector, the POD simply wouldn't start; It flashed all the LED's and maintained them on, a brick with lights basically. The USB works just fine, I can access to the POD via PC but the Flash Memory is just not accessible; I checked every internal part on the POD, all the values are normal and nothing seems to be "broken". Is it possible that anyone can get me the Flash Memory full dump file of a PODxt Live so I can reprogram mine? Sorry for my bad English, Best Regards.
