  4. I successfully installed and ran the Line 6 updater but it could not find a more updated firmware version form my Relay G10 than version 1.00 though I know new versions exist from reading the forums. I noticed that the updater will allow me to specify a file location. Where can I download version 1.04 (or later) for installation?

Important Information About the G10T Transmitter · The recommended charging temperature range of the G10T Transmitter is specified as 50° F to 86° F (10° C to 30° C). · The recommended operating temperature range of the G10T transmitter is specified as 32° F to 122° F (0° C to 50° C). · Line 6 recommends charging the G10T transmitter at least every 6 months, based on best practices for lithium-ion batteries. · The functionality for Yamaha THR10II Wireless and THR30II Wireless users to update the G10T to version 1.06 firmware is also available. · For G10T transmitters on firmware version 1.06, LED behavior is now as follows: G10T Transmitter (Docked in G10/G10S Receiver, POD Go Wireless, Spider V amp or THR10II/THR30II/THR30IIA Wireless amp) LED State Condition Red (slow flash) Charging, less than 30 minutes battery time remaining * Green (slow flash) Charging, more than 30 minutes battery time remaining * Green (solid) Fully charged † Dim Red/Pink, may turn off G10T is not docked properly – Try un-docking and re-docking 5-10 times Red (three quick flashes, repeating) G10T charging has stopped due to exceeding supported temperature. 6. Hi! So as the title says, my POD HD 500 can't boot up. When i start it up, the only thing i see is the Line 6 logo appearing in a loop, and wouldn't load the effects chains. This is kind a complicated situation.. So i've bought this unit (used) like a year ago, and couldn't use it once. The guy whom i bought it from didn't had a power supply to it. It took me like 2 months to get one from Ebay (UK) which had the UK power plug head (so i needed a converter). I'm from Central Europe (Hungary). It was strange because once i was able to boot it up to see the menu and such, but after days past and tried it to set it up with my friend it just gave up eventually. We weren't able to boot it up, we also tried to update it with the Line 6 Monkey, but the pc just couldn't see the unit via USB. After we tried to install the drivers it gave an error. I took it to a local guitar shop, where they replace the USB port since it was broken, but they also said that the circuit board was "short circuited" , and would need to be replaced. Which would cost me around 300 Euros, that's just Ludacris! (i don't really believe them, for my own reasons, but that's not the point right now). I can get it to "Update Flash Mode" while holding the "down" button on starting up but my pc can't detect the POD HD 500. As you can see in the screenshots i can't update the Firmware memory and neither the Flash memory. Also when i try to update the driver it gives an error message ("Failed to launch installer"). After that it takes me to the Line 6 downloads site to download it, which is fine, but after i install it manually it still says that there is no driver installed. What can i do to fix this? Do you think it's a power supply or a circuit board issue? I also tried it with multiple USB cables..
  7. So, I love my POD Go to death, but I can not lie when I say I am frustrated to see no firmware updates since August of 2020. While the package does feel complete on it's own, and I love mine to death as I said, I do feel kind of shorthanded by the fact Helix will probably be receiving updates, and new models for the next 3 to 5 years, while POD Go owners have not even seen more optimizations or patches in over 6 months. Its not something worth throwing a massive fit over, but I am irritated enough to up and just ask what the plan for future support is for the POD Go and exactly what we can expect to see further down the line if anything from it.
  8. Updated HX Stomp firmware today after quite a while of inactivity. Now for some reason buttons Home/view and back page not working. Cant get into menu/global/mode settings etc from unit. Everything works fine using HX Edit. Tried the obvious rolling back to previous firmware/global reset etc without any luck. Anyone having a solve would be greatly appreciated.
  9. Hoping someone can assist on this. I tried updating the firmware on my Amplifi 30 the other day. It appeared to succeed but afterwards, the amp now emits a loud screeching hum which cannot be controlled by the volume, and with no instrument plugged in. Any controls on the app does not affect the sound. Scrolling the tone bank does not affect the sound. Nothing affects the sound - except when I plug in a headphone to cut the speaker output. But then it is in the headphone! Has this thing been bricked? Anyone else have this type of problem? Thanks in advance. Pcho73
  10. I'm sorry about this question, i might just miss something, but I've read the update guide and it didn't really make it clear to me. Right now I have Helix LT at 2.30. As title says should i update it straight to 3.00 or extra steps should be taken? The reason I ask is because when i had Helix LT back in a day at 2.30 the latest firmware was 2.82. To install this one i had to update to 2.71 first because somehow 2.80 wasn't installing above 2.30. So my update steps were 2.30 -> 2.71 -> 2.80 -> 2.82. I don't really wanna brick Helix or something, so just to make sure I made a topic here. Sorry once again.
  11. Hi- Just updated from 2.82 to 3.01 for Helix floor. All seems to have gone smoothly, but instructions ("Step Tres") say to restore from the backup that was created prior to the update. Everything seems to be OK. Is this restore from backup mandatory for a reason I don't know about or haven't been able to determine? Wouldn't want to retrograde factory settings, for example. Thanks for your input.
  12. Hi all, This is more of a heads up, as I have a resolution (of sorts) to my issue. Like many, I made the jump recently from F/W 2.92 to 3.00. I'm not normally an early adopter but recent firmware updates had gone well and so I deviced to have a leap of faith. The update itself went without hitch, but I soon ran into issues whilst using a 1SW Looper (the problem may also relate to the 6SW, etc., but I've not tested). As a relative newbie to playing guitar, my setup is incredibly simple, so nothing I'm doing is likely to be taxing the HX Effects unit too heavily. In fact, in this paticular case my setup simply included a Bass Octaver, Analog Flanger, Minotaur, Plate Reverb, LA Studio Compressor and a single switch looper (all on a single path). My problem is that recording a 4 bar loop causes the HX effects to hang. I'm unable to end the loop and all switches and buttons cease to function; my only option being to power off the device. I thought it may be an issue carried over from previous settings, so I performed a factory reset. Initially, I restored (only) my Presets, but as the problem persisted, I conducted a second factory reset and setup the pedals fresh. No difference, the unit still hangs. I've managed to resolve my issue by reverting to 2.92 (which works perfectly), but this isn't ideal. I can't think what else to try at this stage and/or I'm not sure what additional information is needed to help troubleshoot. Anyway, as I said, this is more of a heads up (for others who may be suffering the same issue). If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears. Also, I'm happy to provide additional information and/or conduct tests if it will prove beneficial. Regards Jack.
  13. I tried to update to 3.01. The HX edit is at 3.0, I signed up, back up my presets, and then I clicked update. HX Edit is stuck on the Update Device screen and is stuck with the phrase at the bottom saying "initializing firmware installation..." It's been like this for hours, and the helix floor screen says "update message server started". HX Edit won't let me quit out either because it says I need to wait until the update is finished. Please help. I don't want to risk bricking my Helix. I'm on OSx 19.15.7 Catalina
  14. A "what if" question for Line 6 and other Firehawk users: I am happy with Firehawk FX, but I wish one thing was different - I switch effects on and off more frequently than I change patches. Stepping over the patch change buttons to hit delay or overdrive on/off, I frequently miss and hit the patch change buttons below them. Would it be an easy software/firmware fix to give us the option to "flip" the functions of the 2 footswitch rows? Since everything is digital, it would seem feasible, but I was just curious to see if anyone else would be interested in that option...

  16. Greetings- Have been happily gigging with Helix for the past few years and finally have a chance to upgrade firmware. Downloaded Helix Edit 2.92 but it won't "connect" with my 2.12 Helix. Back in the dark ages, backing up Helix was a tedious process, whereas the newer editor seems to have a "backup" function, which seems more streamlined. 3 questions: 1) Is the "connection interrupted" error message I'm getting to be expected when attempting to connect from such old firmware to latest version, or is there potentially another issue preventing connection? 2) Is there a point in the firmware upgrade path from 2.12 to 2.92 at which Helix Edit can be used instead of the old Helix "app?" 3) Are firmware updates backwards compatible with patches created in older versions, or are some models eliminated in more current versions. Thanks!
  17. Well I decided to updated my 13 years old laptop and upgrade to a Macbook. Seems like the recent updates on the page have no effect on scanning my device. Honestly my device was working well in my DAW application before I decided to download the license manager and pro x edit. Now no device shows up. Anyone else still use this rack unit and have or have had the same problem? I did uninstall and re-install but nothing seems to work..
  18. Hi folks, I bought my Helix in 2017 and despite playing with it for a while, I had to move countries and it had been sleeping in my office for a long time now. Yesterday I decided to pick it up again and do some playing/recording. Its firmware was version 2.21 then and I upgraded it to 2.92 using the latest Helix Edit app. It all went well, but I'm surprised it went "too well", actually: the instructions mentioned my user presets would be erased during the upgrade, but they didn't! I can still find and use them after the upgrade, which included the big overhaul from version 2.80. The fact that I could already find those presets held me back from importing my backup after the upgrade. So the question is: should I factory reset the Helix after the update, and THEN import the backup? By doing so, is there a risk of the new factory presets of the current firmware be replaced by the old ones of the backup, or only my user presets will be reapplied? By the way, my old "Helix" app is still there lingering on my PC alongside the new "Helix Edit" app. Can I safely uninstall the "Helix" app and only use the "Helix Edit" app from now on? And if I do need to factory reset, can I confirm that it's by turning it on while pressing switches 9 and 10? Sorry if all of this is repeated, but I couldn't find a direct answer to these questions because I'm a noob. Best regards to all.

  24. Q: What is the Spider FX Infusion? A: Spider FX Infusion is offered as a free firmware (1.52) update for all Spider IV (75, 120, 150, 150HD) amplifiers owners with a Line 6 FBV MkII Shortboard„¢ or Express„¢ Controller device. Q: Do I need to have the Mk II version of the FBV Express or shortboard to update the firmware on my Spider IV (75, 120, 150, HD150)? A: Yes, as the previous FBV (Mk I) does not have the USB connection necessary to connect to a computer for the update. You will also need to have the FBV Mk II Express/Shortboard registered to your user account to complete the install. Q: How do I connect my Spider IV (75, 120, 150, HD150) to my computer to perform the firmware update? A: See the following link for the Spider IV update information: Updating the Spider IV (75, 120, 150, 150HD) using the FBV Mk II and Line 6 Monkey Q: What is the Spider IV Edit software? A: The Spider IV Edit software allows you to edit and download tones for your Spider IV amplifier on your computer. See the following link for more information on using the Spider IV Edit software. Spider IV Edit v1.02 FAQs Q: Do I need to calibrate my Expression pedal on my FBV Mk II unit after I perform the firmware upgrade? A: Yes. See the following link for the information on how to calibrate your FBV Mk II pedal (and update the firmware if necessary): FBV/Shortboard/Express/FBV2 Controller: Calibration and F.A.Q.s FBV Mk II (Express and Shortboard) software update Q: What new effect models are included in the Spider FX Infusion firmware update? A: There are 28 new effects in the update 1.51 (there are no changes in the amp modeling). Here are the locations and descriptions of the new effects: FX-1 - Gain Blue Comp: Based on* the Boss® CS-1 Compression Vetta Juice: A Line 6 original originally created for our flagship Vetta II guitar amplifier. Boost & EQ: A stompbox compressor that also provides you with some EQ controls so you can further shape the tone. Screamer: Based on* an Ibanez® Tube Screamer®, the overdrive heard round the world. Killer Z: Based on* Boss® Metal Zone, the industry standard distortion pedal for metal players since 1989. Octave Fuzz: Based on the Tycobrahe Octavia, the classic fuzz+octave effect. Bass Overdrive: Based on* the Tech 21 Bass Sans Amp Clean Sweep: This is a wide range sweeping filter with a slow decay. It’s similar to Auto Wah, but with a band pass filter shape. FX-2 - Chorus/Phaser Analog Chorus: Based on* the Boss® CE-1 Chorus Ensemble. Square Chorus: Based on* the Boss® CE-1 Chorus Ensemble, but with a square wave acting as the magical modulator. Random Chorus: This chorus uses three different modulating filters all running randomly. Jet Flanger: Based on the A/DA Flanger. Lumpy Phase: Kinda like a Uni-Vibe®, but more radical. Warble-Matic: It can produce a nice mild phasey sound or with the depth maxed you can simulate the sound of an alien spacecraft . FX-3 - Delay/ Sweep Echo Analog Delay: Based on* the Boss® DM2 Analog Delay. Stereo Delay: Run this effect post in order to hear it in stereo, with one delay on the left, and another on the right. The time parameter sets the left delay’s time, while offset sets the right delay time as a percentage of the left. So, if you set time to 500ms, and offset to 50%, your right delay time will be 50% of 500ms in other words, 250ms. This effect will be summed in mono on a mono amplifier (i.e. Spider IV 75) but will be in stereo when using the stereo line out. Bubble Echo: Bubble Eko has a Sample and Hold filter on the repeats. A Sample and Hold filter takes a filter sweep (like the one on Sweep Echo), chops it up into little bits and rearranges them semi-randomly. Reverb King Spring Large Plate Small Room Tiled Room Chamber Medium Hall Large Hall Wah Chrome: Based on* a Vox® V847 Colorful: Based on* the wah part of a vintage Colorsound® Wah-Fuzz Weeper: Modeled after* an Arbiter® Cry Baby
  25. Greetings, I stopped getting an input signal on my PODxt Pro. I tried various guitar cables, and I reinstalled the 3.02 firmware from the Line 6 Monkey. Nothing else is plugged into the unit other than the AC cable and the input cable. It's clearly not a setting; I can't even get a signal to use the tuner. Seems like a hardware issue, but here's how I've troubleshot this so far; perhaps I've missed something obvious along the way. First of all, it would seem that after some searching, that this issue is not unique to me. Also, for what it's worth, I had (for some reason) version 1.14 of the USB firmware on the unit, despite the fact that the current version was listed as 1.12 in the Monkey. Thinking that this might be the problem, I tried restoring the current version of the USB firmware back to version 1.12, so that they matched. No dice. Repeated power cycles do nothing, and the line level input on the back isn't getting any input signal either. Sending a clean guitar signal through USB doesn't work either, so it obviously isn't getting any signal at the front end. The signal light on the front remains perpetually dark. I have all model packs installed, and the unit has been sitting in a climate controlled rack in a studio, so it is in mint condition. I am at a loss, and am not sure what to do, as I rely on this in my studio. Another follow-up question... Since I rolled back the USB firmware to 1.12, there doesn't now seem to be a way to get it back to 1.14. Most reports I see say that 1.14 is the latest version of the USB firmware, yet the Line 6 Monkey is telling me that 1.12 is the latest. Was there an issue discovered with version 1.14 of the USB firmware such that it was removed from the update servers? I also ran the entire update process again from another computer with a different USB cable. Same deal. Another thing to note is that while the device is fully recognized through the OS, and the MIDI functionality seems to be fine, the audio interface element of the PODxt Pro is not functioning properly. The device is recognized in the Sound System Preference (and the Audio/MIDI Setup) but sound will not come out of it for regular computer sound output (like iTunes, for example.) In addition to this, I just noticed a slight but audible buzzing/hum sound inconsistently coming from the unit, which sounds similar to an alternating current's 60 Hz hum sometimes caused by EMI or a ground loop. I've never noticed this until right now. A power cycle of the unit lessened it to some degree, but it's still there faintly, which obviously causes further concern. Has anyone else with a PODxt Pro experienced anything like this? I'm sure the answer is what I don't want to hear: that I'll need to take it to a service center. Thanks in advance, Jeff
