  1. I have two quick questions: 1. Is there a typical firmware/software release schedule for Helix? 2. Is there a mailing list that we can sign up for that will let us know when a new software update is available? Thanks!
  2. http://line6.com/software/index.html ...plus the Helix 1.03 application... I added this, because still no announcement right here ;)
  3. So i bought this pod pro off a mate and it never worked while i've had it, today i was trying to get it working. It turns up and if it's plugged in to the USB it is recognized by my PC, however the screen doesn't show any data (see attached). i can't get any signal from m guitar either. if you can help me distinguish if its a firmware or software problem that would be great! and any suggestions for a fix would be fantastic.
  4. I have tried and re-tried but can't seem to get this done. My laptop runs win7. I've got Monkey at 1.71, updated the USB firmware to 1.04, re-booted both POD and laptop ad nauseum, even turned off my Norton... but whenever Monkey tries to update the FW, it thinks it's successful yet shows the driver at 4.2.5.1. My goal is to get my hd500 from 2.32 to 2.62, but I don't want to even attempt this if I can't even get the drivers to update. Anybody got any ideas? Also, when updating the POD Flash Memory, am I supposed to hold down a nav button and power it on somewhere in the process? THANKS (in advance)!
  5. I loaded my custom presets from a Helix app v.1.02 backup, not a v.1.01 backup after yesterday's firmware upgrade to 1.04.1. Although the Release Notes for the new firmware specify the new version of the Helix app for the restore, they do not specify which version of the Helix app to do the backup with so I am not sure if this was ok. Could someone at Line6 please chime in and let me know if it was ok to restore my custom presets from a Helix app v.1.02 backup after the 1.04.2 firmware update . I would prefer not to spend days, weeks, tweaking my presets only to find out that something subtle went wrong with my restored custom presets because I was supposed to have reloaded them from a v.1.01 backup. Before I bother doing any more customizing of presets I need to know if I am going to have to reload them from the backup made by an earlier version of the Helix app. I really need this question answered to proceed happily down the upgrade road with my Helix. I have asked this question several times in several ways elsewhere, but alas, no response. I could open a trouble ticket but I think this detail would benefit everyone who is doing the update. So, what does a brother need to do to get a little help here? I know you guys are busy and I never expect a response directly from Line6 but you just issued a firmware update and inquiring minds want to know. Is a backup from either version of the Helix app ok as long as we use v.1.02 to do the restore, or, do we need a backup from a specific version of the Helix app? This detail could potentially impact many users. Please add some clarity here. Thanks!
  6. Hey guys, I'm about to update my DT 50 212 soon, so I've been reading this old thread (and others): http://line6.com/supportarchivenew/thread/89020/ Just wanted to check if I can do this update from my USB/MIDI keyboard controller (an AKAI MPK 61). It has both MIDI In and MIDI Out ports. Does anyone know if that would work? Or should I get a dedicated interface for this (something like that M-Audio Uno one)? If the keyboard works (hooked up to the computer via USB), then I'm assuming I'll need 2 MIDI cables connecting: DT 50 MIDI In -> AKAI Midi Out DT 50 MIDI Out -> AKAI MIDI In. Is that correct? Has anyone succeeded performing the firmware update from a keyboard controller before? I'm always afraid of doing these firmware updates on my Line 6 gear... I can't afford to "brick" my amp., since I'm very far from any Line 6 service center. Any help will be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!
  7. Hi, I have a pod hd500x, which I am using extensively. The other day during a gig in a bar the following happened. I was playing as usual. It was a very noisy song. I couldn't hear my self very good. Then the song ends, everybody stops playing, a moment of silence in the room, except my guitar continues to play. I had accidentally engaged my looper while playing. This was extremely embarrassing. For a moment I just wanted to to existe anymore. :o I like the looper fonction of the pod but it should be possible to deactivate for this type of situation. I looked in the manual but could not find this functionality. Therefore my wish to Line 6 for a future firmware upgrade would be the following: In global settings allow to assign the looper footswitch to either - looper - toggle on/off the 5th assigned FX or Amp in preset mode This would really be helpful. Markus
  8. It would be awesome if there were an adjustable frequency filter in the Smart Harmony effect that would allow the signal to pass un processed below the filter setting and processed above the setting. Is this possible?
  9. Hi mates, got a question. I'm flashing my pocket pod from 1.0 to 1.1. How much time to complete operation? my progress bar is stopped from lot of minutes... on pod i read "loading Update". something is going wrong? can i disconnect the pod? regards Samuel [iTALY]
  10. Hello there, I'm having some troubles right after the 2.62 firmware update. (I did it today, the previous version was 1.30 I guess) My POD HD 500 doesn't work anymore, and everything was ok before the update. I tried to downgrade , but there is a communication error between the POD and the computer that wasn't there before. if I connect the pod on power and select any set, it crashes. And if I turn the Tunner on, a strange sound appears when I play he chords, and when I press any FS button, it crashes. Please, I need some help!

  12. Hey guys, For many months I have been practicing and recording using my Pod hd500 (Firmware 2.10) and i've tried many Custom tone high gain presets like ENGL,Treadplate and more but All of them sound very harsh and dirty without any "body", the opposite of a thick and warm tone. Each preset that I downloaded from custom tone sounds very bad. Now I have just installed 2.0 (Rollback) and all those high gain tones which sounded very bad and harsh now sound excellent and very thick!.I'm a little confused, Perhaps the presets were intended to be used in the firmware 2.0?. Anyway they sound 100% different, now i am very happy! My recordings sound very good and clear! I'm in love with my pod again. The only thing that I miss the last firmware are the SOLDANO models... There is a problem with my pod? Any one of you has the same problem? What can i do? My Gear: Schecter hellraiser c1 fr ---------> Pod HD500--------> Shure Shr840 Headphones/M-audio BX8D2 Studio monitors Pod settings: -Studio/Direct. Thank you for read!
  13. Hello, Recently purchased a THH12 to use with one of my XD-35 receivers. I've been reading about "updating" the transmitter. Three questions 1) Advantages of update, 2) Can the THH06 be updated as well, and 3 ) Can I perform the update using the XD-35 or only if I purchase a XD-75 receiver? Thank you
  14. Just wanted to report in as a new AmplifiTT user. I'm actually quite happy with the device thus far, but one big issue I'm having is with nonexistent USB connectivity, as I plan to to do extensive recording. Not a single driver set has worked, even with the new Line 6 Amplifi PC-based utility. I simply receive the "USB Device Not Recognized" after connecting the device following a driver installation, and the Line 6 software shows a "No Amplifi Devices were detected." message This is a brand-new USB cable. The most current software driver on the Line 6 site simply do not work. Here is a listing of my platform: Win7 Ultimate 64-bit, latest updates installed consistently 16GB RAM 2600K @4.35GHz 256 GB SSD, 5TB spindle storage Asus Sabertooth Z77 motherboard with most recent BIOS update. Attempting to connect to a known-good USB port simply never works. Anyone else experiencing this problem? Is this a known issue with AmplifiTT? Is an update coming that might possibly address this? Thank you! Rich Grace

  17. Hello! Upgrading my Amplifi fx100 to 2.10.00, first time (from 1.01.0). Installed Utility, plugged it in USB 3.0 port (Windows 7 64 bit). Launched in firmware update mode. Pressed Next in the update utility. Seeing "Update In Progress. Do not turn off or unplug your device at this time". Progress bar is empty and it's saying "Installing firmware update...". One hour passed with no changes. How to cancel/retry upgrade process without a risk of having entirely broken device?
  18. I don´t know why i can´t install the new usb firmware's update. Some of you can help me please?
  19. Hello everyone, I've tried to upgrade my Spider IV 75 firmware. It was at 1.04, and I used Line 6 Monkey to upgrade it to 2.0.0. Apparently everything went OK, the Monkey software says it's successful, but after that, it says "This item is installed, but its version could not be determined", and the version number is "Unknown". On the little orange screen in the amp, it says "Ready to update". When I turn off the amp and turn it on again, it says "v2.0.0" for a second and then comes back to "Ready to update", it's stuck there and the amp doesn't work. What can I do? Is there a way to at least go back to the previous version of the firmware? Maybe I can download another firmware version? I'm using Line 6 Monkey v1.68 on a Macbook Air with OSX Yosemite. Thanks!
  20. Just got a HD500X and I'm slightly confused as to what the latest firmware version is. Line 6 Monkey says 1.01 for USB Firmware and 1.32 for Flash Memory. Is that it?
  21. Is it just me feeling that the latest firmware version 2.10.00 sounds worse? Anybody feel the same? Is it my ears going bad? Although it was released nearly a year ago, I just updated mine, feeling insecure about it. Well, frankly, after every update I feel like it sounded worse and worse. Thinking of going back to the first version back from 2010. My gut feeling is that, before the product launch they worked on it heavily, getting the sound right, then as updates came around, just a few minor group of people worked on the updates based on feedback and bug reports but ultimately breaking the soul of it's sound. If anybody replies with a yes, I'm going back to the old firmware.
  22. I'm guessing that the new global EQ (without throwing any more drama into all this) will fix the whole cab vs, DI brightness issue. What I should be able to do, once it's updated, is get my patches sounding good through my (insert frfr of choice here), and then switch to either cans or PA and roll down the hi cut until the extra brightness is gone, correct? If I bring it down until just before the frfr cab starts to lose top end, then it should be a closer match, if it works right. I always have to end up making lots of eq adjustment when I playing direct with IEMs, and maybe that will be solved soon.
  23. Hi! I did a firmware upgrade to my spider IV 75 through a fvb mkII pedalboard. The proceder seemed correct. The new efects sounds great, but the pedalboard didn't work again. The display doesn't light anymore and none of the pedals work. It is unable to connect to the computer vía USB. It isn't recognized by the monkey. Any similar experience? Any idea? Could the update file be corrupted? Maybe the routine to manage the pedalboard is not complete? Would a factory reset fix the problem? Thank you and excuse my poor english
  24. installed the line6 monkey program right now and it says my m5 is on the latest (1.0) firmware...is this an error or has there really never been any firmware upgrade....? thanks, rudi
  25. Here are the steps needed to update an AMPLIFi with Windows or OSX. The whole process should only take about 5 minutes. Click on each image to expand it. Windows users: First thing that needs to be done is to download the latest Amplifi driver from www.Line6.com/software if you haven't already. Step 1: Download and install Line 6 Updater from www.Line6.com/software. Step 2: Connect the Amplifi gear to your computer with a standard USB A/USB B cable, and then run Line 6 Updater program. Step 3: With your Line 6 user name and password, log into the program. Step 4: Click on the connected Amplifi. Here, we're updating the TT. Step 5: Click on the latest version of firmware from the top of the list. You do not have to install each previous version, just the latest. Step 6: This page shows you what you'll need to do if the update fails (we'll go over this at the end in detail). In the meantime, hit Next. Step 7: Here's the program doing its thing. Step 8: Once done, power cycle the unit. Step 9: Forget or unpair the Amplifi unit from your mobile device's Bluetooth menu. Press and briefly hold the Bluetooth button on the Amplifi until it flashes quickly. On your mobile device, go to your Bluetooth settings and select the device, as it's trying to connect. Once reconnected, launch the Amplifi Remote app. In the event that the update fails, or the gear isn't rebooting properly after the update, you'll need to enter update mode by holding down "Tone" and "Tap" while booting up. If using the FX100, hold down footswiches A and C. Note: If an update continues to fail, please try another computer's USB ports. USB port stability can vary between computers. NOTE TO FX100 OWNERS: After performing the steps below, you must perform a reset and a pedal calibration. Here are the instructions for that: http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/effects-controllers/fx100/post-flash-update-instructions-for-fx100-r645
