  5. hello guys,I’m running into some problems ,I downloaded the monkey and wb hd ,monkey have difficulties recognizing my guitar,I had to pull of and on the cables couple of times and so with workbench, both programs recognize(when they do) my standard as a jtv (I think it’s not right) and when I try updating the variax flash i get an error code code 80009000 (I’ll post the pic) i later managed to try all the usb on my acer aspire 3 laptop and i was able to let it be recognized as a standard by both monkey and wb hd(still had to plug and unplug several times), but the error code when flashing persists. the guitar has another weird problem, when i select custom one on the model selector knob and i switch model by the 5position switch, the guitar blinks on or 2 or 3 times (sometimes 1 sometimes 2 or 3) on the tuning knob and freezes,i havwe to remove the battery to make it work again...please help guys ,thank you.
  6. Hi. I found some issues in my Line 6 Spider 240HC amp that probably have other discussions opened, but i decided to record them. https://youtu.be/67unAeUulCA In the first one, the display flashes when it's turned off. https://youtu.be/477VH-TT4W8 That sound happens when i turn off the amp. That happens sometimes using different IEC cables. https://youtu.be/Fy6RwlY-xHk This problem started when i changed my IEC cable too. Sorry for the sound quality, there is a clicking sound when i activate the reverb. I though the it could be caused by the cable, but they are universal and i guess that it could be produced by digital issues. I really like this amp but it's difficult to play a gig calmed with that kind of problems. Is anyone having these problems? Sorry for my english.
  7. Hey everyone, I just got a awesome Spider MK 2 HD100, and iam really happy with it, but it has come with the older floorboard with no connection to pc so I have bought a midi to USB cable to connect from the head into my pc but everytime I begin the firmware update i get a few popup windows open saying everything is ok click "yes" to proceed and then tick the user agreement and then i get a error window with the code 8000000, any clues please? Windows 10 btw. Cheers. Shaun.
  8. I have an POD XT which when plugged into Monkey via USB, the software stated I needed up upgrade the Flash to 3.1. I clicked to update but the process seemed to take an extrodinary long time to complete and during the process, I noted that the screen of the Pod had 'Error Code 02' dispalyed. I reset the Pod as requested but as soon as the screen turned on, I got 'ERROR CODE 02'. I tried all the buttons, tried turning dials and nothing had no effect. On research, I found that Error Code 02 relates to an issue with the Flash Memory. It seems to be a common issue that Monkey updating the Pod can corrupt the Flash, making the Pod useless. I tried putting the Pod in safe mode using the 'Save' / 'Edit' keys which did nothing. I tried safe mode using the most left black square button, again nothing. I tried the second black square button which put the Pod into another safe mode which checked the memory, this test passed. On the Monkey, the Flash was greyed out and I couldn't update it. It recognised the Pod connected via USB but couldn't establish the connection. I tried different USB cables, different USB slots, even another power supply and got nothing but the Error Code 02 on the screen. ** SOLUTION ** On a side line building up my rig, I had purchased a second hand Edirol UM-1SX which is an old fashioned Midi USB interface box, which I was going to use with my keyboard. I'd also just purchased a couple of brand new Roland Midi Cables. Once I setup the Edirol UM-1SX with my computer, the Pod XT was recognised by Monkey. I set this up by NOT using the USB cable but just connecting the Pod via the Midi Cables via the UM-1SX. Just an important point with MIDI cables, Computer Out = Pod In and Computer In = Pod Out. Now the Pod was connected to the Computer, Flash was able to update via Midi and installed to the latest Flash 3.1. Once installed and turned the Pod off and on again, I disconnected the Midi cables and connected the Pod via the USB to use Line 6 Edit. From here, no problems in editing and installing my tones. Happy days, broken Pod to working Pod. Hope this helps.
  9. Hello All Anyone used E & M in Milton Keynes to get their HD500 repaired? Suffering from a sick HD500. The thing has never left the house from new. The unit was left untouched for around a year and on powering back up I received 'Update Flash' message. Carried out the procedure without incident and now the unit will boot up in one of two ways: 1 Only controllable from HD500 edit software except for volume/tone knobs which appear responsive 2 Very rarely everything working as should be. Trawled this forum and followed all the advice of reflashing etc however could never invoke global reset via the power up/ left button method. Anyway back to the original point, the line 6 site says E & M are the repairers in the UK - has anyone tried them for this kind of fix.? Thanks for reading Steve

  11. Hi everyone, first time here. I just bought Helix and got their USB flash drive. However, the drive seems corrupt, I couldn’t open it neither on Mac OS X nor in Windows. Is there any way I can get the contents from the drive? I don’t want to go back to the store for such a small thing. By the way, this thing is awesome.

  14. I have tried and re-tried but can't seem to get this done. My laptop runs win7. I've got Monkey at 1.71, updated the USB firmware to 1.04, re-booted both POD and laptop ad nauseum, even turned off my Norton... but whenever Monkey tries to update the FW, it thinks it's successful yet shows the driver at 4.2.5.1. My goal is to get my hd500 from 2.32 to 2.62, but I don't want to even attempt this if I can't even get the drivers to update. Anybody got any ideas? Also, when updating the POD Flash Memory, am I supposed to hold down a nav button and power it on somewhere in the process? THANKS (in advance)!
  15. My M13 is booting up in a strange way. Only the far left screen is on and it says something like "flash,sd, midi, jacks". Has anyone had this problem?? Please help.
  16. Hi, I tried to reset my POD HD 500X to it's default factory setting by reinstalling flash memory using Line 6 Monkey (as recommended in the guide). But to no effect, all my input/footswitch settings stays exactly the same as previously. Beside reseting preset banks it seems like it had no effect on the settings of POD at all. I specifically would like to reset Global EQ settings but also few others. I'm using latest drivers for USB etc http://i.imgur.com/tJWODXE.png

  19. Hello! Upgrading my Amplifi fx100 to 2.10.00, first time (from 1.01.0). Installed Utility, plugged it in USB 3.0 port (Windows 7 64 bit). Launched in firmware update mode. Pressed Next in the update utility. Seeing "Update In Progress. Do not turn off or unplug your device at this time". Progress bar is empty and it's saying "Installing firmware update...". One hour passed with no changes. How to cancel/retry upgrade process without a risk of having entirely broken device?
  20. All 4 tone lights (or ABCD lights on the FX100) flashing is 'recovery mode'. It is the intended behavior after a failed update. If you come across this mode, you must attempt to update the AMPLIFi again. Power down your AMPLIFi. When updating via PC, please connect the USB cable and make sure to boot the unit while holding Tone+Tap (amp, TT) or A+C (FX100) to put your AMPLIFi into Update Mode. Run the Line 6 Updater program found at www.Line6.com/software. For a guide, please refer to http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/amplifi-products/ampl/how-to-update-amplifi-with-a-pc-r701. If you still get failed updates from the Line 6 Updater, try another USB cable and port as well as another computer When updating via an iOS device, Bluetooth works in recovery mode, but the pairing from before the failed update is not maintained. You must press the Bluetooth button and pair again from the smart device's Bluetooth menu. You can then proceed with the update.
  21. Hello people! I'm brand new to the Line 6 forums. I'm having a few issues updating the Firmware on my LINE 6 M13. The pedal is awesome (when it works). So everything stopped working and i stopped getting sound out of it. When I hook up my cables, you can hear this buzzing when you turn the overdrive effects on, so there definately is a connection there, but when you plug the guitar in nothing comes through. I have of course tested out all cables and everything. So I did some digging and I am on something like 1.07 firmware, and I need to upgrade to the newest one. I've been following the instructions that I found here (http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/effects-controllers/m5-m9-m13/m13-firmware-update-instructions-r364) They are easy to follow but still nothing. I've tried it using MIDI-OX utility. I download the Sysex file, and follow it step by step. When I'm in MIDI OX and I send the file through to the unit, my little USB Midi device lights up (it has LEDS for Midi in and Midi out, and the Midi Out is flashing indicating that it's sending midi data through the out cable). My poor old M13 just sits there, on the display it says 'Waiting command' I get all the way to the end sending the Sysex data over, but it looks like the M13 is not recieving it. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this and if anyone has successfully done it!
  22. Some people have reported that after a JTV flash upgrade usually to v2.0 or v2.1, that the B and E strings have very low volume levels in comparison to the E,A,B,G strings on some models. Some have reported that a subsequent reflash or two fixed the problem, and others that they had to roll back to v1.9 to obtain models that had balanced string volumes, and finally some dived in to Workbench HD and tweaked the affected models to balance out the string sounds. I recently hit this issue when I upgraded to v2.1 and a subsequent reflash did not fix it, and as I had a gig coming up I had to roll back to v1.9 as a quick way to get back to balanced string volumes as I did not have the time to go in WB HD and manually adjust for the differences. I think It would be very useful to find out why this problem occurs and why it only affects some users and hopefully Line 6 can then fix the problem. So if we can gather plenty of useful data in this thread then we can pass it on to Line 6 to investigate. Please answer the following questions: if you have you ever had E and B strings at very low volume immediately following a flash upgrade? (a) what flash version were you upgrading from and to? ( B) what model JTV were you updating? © were you updating directly via JTV dongle or indirectly through an HD500 or HD500X or other device? (d) how did you fix the problem? (i) reflash firmware? How many times? (ii) tweaked string volumes global and models in Wokbench HD? (iii) roll back to v1.9 or another fw level? (e) have you ever experienced this problem on a fw release earlier than v2.0 and if so, what level was it? (f) which models had the problem? My answers: (a) v1.9 to v2.1 ( B) JTV59 © updated via HD500 (d) attempted 2 reflashes, but then rolled back to v1.9 (e) no (f) T-MOD positions 1,3,5 and SPANK 1 though 5 Thanks in advance for your help and answers.
  23. Good afternoon, I'm a proud owner of a PODxt Live for many years; It worked like a charm until a few weeks ago. Starting from the beginning, a year ago I broke the USB connector; Almost a month ago I decided to finally fix the USB port, so I changed the connector to a new one (I'm experienced with electronics), when I turned on the POD to try out the new USB connector, the POD simply wouldn't start; It flashed all the LED's and maintained them on, a brick with lights basically. The USB works just fine, I can access to the POD via PC but the Flash Memory is just not accessible; I checked every internal part on the POD, all the values are normal and nothing seems to be "broken". Is it possible that anyone can get me the Flash Memory full dump file of a PODxt Live so I can reprogram mine? Sorry for my bad English, Best Regards.
  24. Hello, I recently bought a FBV Shortboard MKII to go with my Spider IV 120. I've connected up to my laptop using the correct cables with the intention of updating the firmware and using Spider Online. However, I downloaded Monkey and tried to update the Flash Memory update for the amp. Every single time I try, I get the following message. "Spider IV 120 update failed. (Code 8000000A) An undefined error occurred. Try the update again making sure the cables are still connected." Now I can't use the amp at all, as it's stuck on a menu saying "Ready to Update." I also cannot seem to factory reset the amp at all. I really don't know what to do. PLEASE help anyone?! :(
  25. Last weekend, I connected my HD400 to my laptop for the first time in a VERY long time. Line 6 Monkey told me there were updates. So, I figured why the hell not. So, I told them to run. While the update was being performed, Line 6 Monkey popped up an error message saying it had encountered an error and would be shutting down. When the update started, it said that the FULL update should be run uninterrupted so I left the HD400 sit with it saying DOWNLOADING.... for a couple hours. I came back and it was still like that so I assumed that things got messed up and I'd have to start over so I powered it down. Only thing is, now it won't power back up properly. I get a message that says DSP BOOT ERROR then NOTHING!!! I've tried resetting to factory settings. I've tried using different cables, USB ports etc and nothing. Please help. Can someone tell me where to go from here to fix my HD400?
