  1. Hey guys, I recently bought a G10 wireless. Now, i've used it live, worked perfectly and was actually very happy with it. But I got home and the damn thing will not work. The receiver is just flashing red (on the halo) about 1 flash a second, when I plug the transmitter in. The transmitter does not turn on, at all, I charged it for 4 hours, then tried it, nothing. I tried it overnight, then nothing... I'm at a loss i really am. Guitars tried: Ibanes RG8 Dingwall NG2 (this was what it worked with live) Fret King Corona Ibanez SR505 Ibanez S420 Legator Ghost 7 string with EMG 707s Any advice would be greatly welcomed right now! Thanks!
  2. I can not speak English because I am a foreigner. I wrote using Google Translator. Good morning. I am using FIVE O pickup now. The instrument uses an ukulele. The pickup uses a 3v CR2032 battery. When this pickup is connected, white noise is generated. There are two instruments equipped with this pickup, but they all have the same symptoms. Other passive pickups did not have this symptom. There was also no noise in the fishman pickup installed on the guitar. The Fishman pickup used a 9v battery. I want to remove this noise. ↓ five-O pick up Noise T^T
  3. I'll start with a simple question, which someone may be able to answer off the top of his/her head. Then, I'll go into a tedious explanation of what I'd like to accomplish. First, the question: If my JTV-59 is connected to a compatible Line 6 device with a VDI cable, will the analog output at the guitar's 1/4" output jack be suppressed, or could it be connected via a standard guitar cord to play through an amplifier? Now for the rest of the story, which may spark an alternate solution, or may result in a 'You can't get there from here' unhappy ending... The battery on my JTV-59 doesn't seem to have much longevity, despite the fact that I use the mag pickups more than the modeling. I'd like to be able to power it for everyday use and practice by connecting it to my Pod XT Live via VDI. But I'd prefer to go wireless into my Amplifi 30 through a Relay G10 plugged into the 1/4" output, because I like the sound of the Amplifi more than the output of the Pod XT played through my stereo amplifier. In this scenario, I'd essentially be using the Pod XT Live as an expensive power supply. But that's ok -- it's paid-for... If the output continues to be available at the 1/4" jack while connected via VDI, it would also open up the possibility to use the Pod XT Live to change models on the JTV, which would be VERY cool. I'd still be using the Amplifi for amplification, but wouldn't have to play with the knobs and switches on the guitar in the middle of a song. Another option that solely addresses the power issue may involve the XPS footswitch, which I've basically never used, although I have at least two of them, supplied with my Variax 500 and 600 guitars. Maybe it would be possible to power the Variax with the XPS and it's 3-conductor guitar cable, and plug the Relay G10 into the 1/4" output of the XPS box? I know: I could try these combinations, myself. And probably will. But I thought it would be useful to throw these scenarios out there and see if others have tried or given thought to possibilities such as these. Look forward to hearing any ideas or suggestions...
  4. This is the third G10 that I have tried. It works as expected for the first few days and then the transmitter will constantly flash red after a single yellow then green flash. Video attached. Anybody else having this problem and perhaps a solution? Thanks.
  5. I just purchased the G10. First gig. No issues. Day 2 2nd set...Had reciever seated. Full green light. Played for 2 songs and all of a sudden drop outs every few minutes. Had to plug in after the song for the rest of the gig. Hoping it was a freak thing but after reading all the people with drop out issues, I may need to send this back. I will give it another shot for the 2 gigs coming up this weekend. Any recommendations?
  6. Hi everyone. I'm getting a G10 to use from my guitar to the Helix and was wondering if I could add yet another G10 to the chain. Out the Helix to the G10 and from that going wireless to the mixer. My goal is to have zero cable here and there and avoid the hassle of connecting and checking conections every rehearsal/gig. Do you guys think this: Helix > G10 > Mixer would work? I mean, with a decent audio quality? Anyone already doing this that can share experience/s? Thanks
  7. Forgive me if this has been addressed elsewhere (I looked but couldn't find the answer). I'm currently using the Relay G10T with my Spider V 120. It works great. It doesn't have a receiver because, apparently, it's already built into the 120. But I'd like to purchase some wireless headphones and was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to reduce interference or latency (if they've even had any problems), or if they use a particular pair of headphones and/or transmitter that work well for them. Any suggestions? Has anyone had any problems using wireless or bluetooth headphones simultaneously with the relay on their Spider V?
  8. Hi all, I recently bought a G10 system and have so far used it for a couple of gigs and a few rehearsals and it has been flawless, but reading the various forums I am concerned about the USB connection lasting. I play in a band which practices once a week and gigs 2 -3 times a month. I only really wanted a wireless system to free the stage of cables, I'm not planning on running into the audience, so the G10 looked ideal. Most of the posts I've seen about the dodgy USB connection seem to be from last year, so I was wondering whether this has been improved? I've been looking at alternatives but the G30 seems to have issues with the battery door and clip and the G50 or G70 seem overkill for what I need. My local music store has the G70 at a really good price at the moment (cheaper than the G50), so I'm wondering whether to bite the bullet and exchange the G10 for this, even though I will never use most of the features, just so that I know that it will be road worthy. Any advice will be really appreciated.
  9. We use a Behringer XR18 mixer and BandHelper, both of which use tablets/phones & wifi extensively. Some of these are 2.4HGz units. Can anyone tell me if a G10 is likely to wipe out my 2.4 tablet (or more than that) at about 3 feet away, with the router about 20 feet away and everything else in between? I realise that the G10 won't be joining the network but that could be worse because the router can't tell it to shut up. Also, the only thing ON a network which would be streaming data would normally be the router, not some 'rogue' other device in the room. Thanks
  10. Hi there, is there a known solution to plugging G10 transmiter to Ibanez soundgear bass guitars? Tried it with the included adapter but it is too short...
  11. I would like to run my G10 to two amps using both outputs, but can't seem to get it to work. I have an unbalanced XLR to 1/4" TS cable, but all I get when I plug it in is a load hum. This happens in both amps. What am I missing here? Do I have the right cable? Or is it a bad (new) cable? Thanks!
  12. Love my G10...works wonderfully. My question is...I have it plugged into power 24/7. Does anyone know any reason why this might cause issues? Shorter battery life or overheating or ? No issues...and I use it several times a week during practice...and it goes to a solid green a few minutes after putting the transmitter back into base. So it appears to be working fine...just want it to last. Thanks Dave
  13. I really like the idea of the G10, but the problem for me is that there is no foldover physical configuration like the Guitar Bug. This is a deal breaker for an acoustic guitarist like myself, since it extends vertically from the base of the guitar, inviting an accident with the input jack. Line 6 should make a transmitter like Guitar Bug; I returned my G10 to purchase an xVive U2, which works great and has foold-over for both xmitter and receiver AND four channels, so one could purchase a second receiver and go into two amps (not that I would ever want to do that, but it is there....).... That said, as soon as L6 makes a "guitar bug" configuration for the xmitter of the G10, I will consider a purchase as a backup....
  14. I've had my G10 for a few months now but have been having a problem with the little switch on the base of the transmitter jack. I play with a Squier jazz-style bass and the input is flat against the face of the bass. Anyway, when I first got the G10, I noticed that when I plug it in facing downwards (sort of the expected and default rotation) it did not trigger the microswitch. However, if I turn it 90 deg. any direction it does. That worked fine for me for quite a while - till I started hopping about the stage. So it sounds like the input hole is just a LITTLE too shallow to trigger the microswitch reliably. Caused a couple dropouts last gig - fixed by rotating. I'm thinking maybe just taping it up to essentially defeat the microswitch to always-on state, but I wondered if there might be any other suggestions. Another idea I had - though I'm not 100% sure this would work - would be to add a small spacer washer to my jack, hopefully deepening the hole enough for it not to be a problem. Looking for thoughts on best solution to this. (New account here so I'll have to await a mod to approve this. But hey! I do currently have the highest rated positive review on the G10 at Guitar Center! Woohoo! I'm special!)
  15. I purchased two G10's. I play a Prog gig and I have multiple basses and a 12/4 double neck. I love the freedom of quickly moving to different basses while having no cables laying round. The sound is excellent. The problem I have is when using the double neck. I have one G10 plugged into the 12-string and the other into the bass. When I quickly switch from the bass to the 12-string (or the other way around) there is a lag where the G10 is not engaged. It take a few note for the G10 to "catch up" and active. It's not a big problem, but it's a problem. I really need quick, immediate, response and don't seem to get this.
  16. Since Line 6 Relay G10 digital wireless system came out for some while, why the Relay G10 is NOT on the page of the Relay family comparison table ? Because lots of customers care about the differences between them. Hope we will see it soon! As u can see here~ http://line6.com/data/6/0a06439cf1d9563ba93abc486/application/pdf Thx!
  17. Greetings to all on this great forum. I have bought the Relay G10 and i'm using it via the balanced "Mic in". I need to change every preset's input. Is there a possibility to change that via the "global settings" menu? The great thing about it, is that via the normal jack out on the G10, i can use my Rocktron Banshee 2 also with the Helix (although it's signal not going through the Helix, but through the relay G10) Hope someone can help me. Ruud
  18. This weekend I have been doing FOH duties at a Ukuele festival, one of the nights the first act consisted of 7 vocalists and 20 Ukuele players, but only 3 needed Di'ing into the PA. For this I decided to use 4 of my Line 6 XD-V35 wireless vocal mics and two G10's, one for ease and the other to keep the stage area a bit more clutter free from cables etc. My G10's interfered with my vocal mics by locking on to their radio channels which resulted in not being able to use my G10's and instead, going back to a conventional Di box. Does anyone know the answer as to why a G10 guitar unit should connect to a XD vocal mic, I thought both these products would be able to operate seperatley from one another? So for the minute I won't be able to use both of these appliances together for any future engagements I am hired for, great shame.
  19. Hi folks, Just by looking at pictures, it seems to me that the G10 plug connector base is larger than a regular cable base and I'm afraid the plug won't sit properly inside the electrosocket jack cup. Worst case scenario I would have to buy an male/female adapter and plug the G10 on it, making it longer and uglier :( Can anyone confirm if it fits? Many thanks!
  20. I've been waiting for my order for a G10 for some time. Release date keeps moving back. Last I was told was June 3rd. Today is June 8th, and no word! Can you tell us when the current expected release date is?
  21. I have my g10 on preorder but I'm a little concerned because it looks like it would be very bottom heavy and I'm wondering if it will put strain on the input jack and/or possibly fall out when dancing or moving around? How stable is this thing performance wise?
  22. hi i have the G30 but i can't play 8 hours with it i will say just 2-3 maximum and you? i have seen the g 10 is it better?
  23. Hi all Just received my G10 unit (thanks Thomann) but was surprised that it uses a 5v USB power plug and not the usual 9v I already have available on my board. I do have a VoiceLive3 with a USB port though, so question is: How much power (Watts/A) does the G10 base station require, and would I be able to power it through the USB port on my VoiceLive? Thanks!
  24. Hi, I'm interested in the G10 and own a Helix. I'm wondering about the cumulative latency of using both in my signal chain. That is, based on testing, is it perceptable at all in typical playing conditions? It's ok if you don't have a direct answer, but on the other hand if you can say with certainty I wouldn't be able to perceive it, that would be great information to consider as I look at buying one.
