  1. Hi I have a G30 system with a TBP06 belt pack. I bought it for 6 months ago and inside the box it has a paper that says my system is enabled with rf2 and I should take a look in the manual to see how to change til rf1. In my band the bass player use an older g30 and that is rf1. So I need to change to rf1. When I follow the manual on the web page it does not work. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/live-sound/relay-digital-wireless/rf1rf2-mode-switching-frequencies-r130 When I start up the device I don't get any blinks from the blue light. I get a purple color that goes directly over to a solid blue color. Not blinking what so ever. The "audio" light goes from yellow to two small green blinks. What is the problem? Why can't I change to rf1? What does startup lights mean? I really need rf1 since i experienced a lot of dropouts with my system when I play with my bass blayer with a rf1 unit.
  2. Hi there, I am a solo musician based in Spain and I have a couple of question. I have a few g30 systems for my show as It was a similar price to buy the whole system as it was to buy the transmitters separate. I want to connect the v75 mic with the g30 receiver. I plan on going from the g30 receiver, which is placed inside a large pedalboard, to a vocal pedal. It says on this site that the v75 is compatible with the g30, but are there any flaws I will run into if I use a g30 receiver instead of the proper kit? will I need anything else to make it work properly? and also what benefits will I get if I use the normal xd-v75 system instead of the g30 receiver? Thanks for your help!
  3. Greetings... did a quick search around couldn't find an answer so I'll post. Forgive me if I missed and obvious reply to this question. My son's G30 is no longer transmitting a signal. Bought it in mid 2013 and has worked like a champ. Within the last week at a show, his bass started cutting out during a show and we quickly switched over to a cable. This past weekend during set up, he had no signal whatsoever. The receiver and transmitter both show good connection, tried different channels, walked through his signal chain to verify nothing else was interfering, and narrowed it down to the wireless unit. Batteries are good. Our guitarist had an extra G30 transmitter, fired his transmitter up and tried it, worked just fine. I see there could possibly be a firmware update for it (not sure if that'd fix anything), but doing so could be difficult locating the required receiver to perform it - short of sending it in to Line 6. Purchased in mid 2013, have extended warranty on it from GC. Any suggestions?
  4. I have 2 complete G30 units. One of them seems to cut out w/ my bass when I go about 15-20ft beyond the receiver. The other system seems to do the same thing with my Taylor 12 string. Is there a fix for this? I've tried different channels and moving the receiver etc .. Very strange how both units have a similar issue. Help? P..S I tried to check the version of the receivers by using the 1-6 3x PROCESS. One unit shows a single green and and one unit shows a GREEN/RED/RED which I assume means the firmware is different.
  5. Hi Line 6 community, I have two XD-V30 receivers and the corresponding transmitters TBP12. Recently I also got a V30 unit and the TBP06 as it was sold at a very reasonable price. Now I am wondering if I can use the TBP12 transmitters together with my V30 receiver and also the Relay G30 (I am planning to get one for my pedal board as the G30 is smaller than the V30). I tried the TBP 12 with my V30 receiver and all the first six channels worked in RF1 mode. So - may I have issues when using these combinations or is it OK to use all the different models as long as I can set them to the same channel? Thanks for your help! Kind regards, Peter
  6. My G30 wireless is continually having about 1 second quick drop outs, on all 6 channels. It happens both at home and at gigs, every few minutes at least. I've had enough, and would like to get a new unit from line 6 or my money back - how do i go about using the warranty? It's been less than a year, have the receipt, etc. Anyone else exchanged theirs? Any luck?
  7. Can anyone give advise\steps on how to take the G30 TBP06 transmitter apart? I have some battery corrosion and need to clean the internals and do not want to break any components. Thanks!
  8. Deutsch Français Q: Where do I get a Relay G30 Series Wireless System for use in the US? A: The Relay G30 is available at all authorized Line 6 dealers. To locate a dealer near you, please see our Dealer Finder. Q: Does USB 3.0 create interference in the 2.4GHz frequency range? A: USB 3.0 computer cables and peripherals, including hard drives, are known to emit radio frequency interference throughout the 2.4GHz band, which results in reduced range and/or performance for any 2.4GHz device in its proximity (including wireless keyboard or mouse, WiFi, etc.). We recommend placing any digital wireless receivers at least two meters away from the USB 3.0 device and its cabling. Below is a link to a study by Intel regarding this interference. http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/io/universal-serial-bus/usb3-frequency-interference-paper.html Q: Where can I purchase replacement Relay G30 transmitters (TBP06) or receivers (RXS06)? A: You can order them from any authorized dealer. Q: What are the specs on the provided Relay G30 Series power supply (DC-1G)? A: 9.6V DC, 500mA, pin center negative.? See the following link for more power supply FAQs: Power Supply, Amp Power and Battery F.A.Q. Q: Can I use a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power Plus 2 to power the Relay G30 receiver? A: Yes, but you will need to use the Voodoo lab "doubler" cable and you will need to use any two outputs of the Pedal Power Plus set to the "normal" position. See the following link for more information on the "doubler" cable available from Voodoo Lab: Voodoo Lab cables Q: What type of cable do I need between my guitar & Relay G30 (TBP06) transmitter? A: Any mono (tip-sleeve) instrument cable will work for both the instrument to the transmitter and the receiver output. We do not recommend using TRS ("stereo") instrument cables. Q: If you leave the transmitter cable plugged but turn the power off on the transmitter, does the cable still use up battery life even if the transmitter is powered off? Similar to some analog stomp boxes? A: When the power is switched off, the audio input has no bearing on battery draw, cable in or out. Q: Is the Relay G30 (TBP06) transmitter compatible with the X2 receiver (or vice versa)? A: Both systems run in completely different frequency ranges so they are not compatible with each other, but X2 and Relay units can be used on the same stage (along with any other analog wireless systems) with no problems. Q: I'm a harmonica player and would like to use the G30 with a bullet microphone (high impedance and high output). Its output peaks at approximately 3V to 4V. Will there be clipping or distortion of the output? A: No problem with either impedance or input level. The Relay transmitters (TBP06 and TBP12) will handle 6V inputs. Q: What is the output impedance of the RXS06 Receiver ? A: The output impedance of the RXS06 Receiver is 200 ohms. Q: How do I register my Relay G30 System? A: You can register on your account: Gear Registration LED States: TBP06 BATT: Blue: On Red: Low battery Purple: On channel change AUDIO: Green: Signal at input Orange: On power / channel change. Rot: Niedriger Batteriestand.
