  1. Hi All, Just want to ask the honest opinion from you all if Guitar Brand is important which brand of guitar will you prefer? YAMAHA FENDER GIBSON EPIPHONE Honestly above brands for me YAMAHA and GIBSON are very well know. Would you agree?

  3. Greetings everyone, I started playing guitar a while ago, mainly I play the game songs I like. But some of the tablature of them cannot be found on the internet, so I have to use my ear to distinguish the note and write them on Guitar Pro, or Tuxguitar. (2 song writing software) I am quite sure that I have write correctly for every note of a song. But the problem is, I actually didn’t have basic music knowledge? (whole note, half note, 1/4 note, 1/8 note, 4/4 beat? etc.) And I don‘t know how to find the BPM of the song... So although I have written down all the notes of one game song I like in those software, and I press play button, I can only get standard 120bpm, 4 note per bar/phrase? at the same speed. I wish to make it right, what are the things I need to know to really produce a song? I will only export it as MIDI, and open in software for my own reference when I play guitar. Thanks in advance!

  8. Hi guys! I recently purchased a Line 6 Helix! After months of reading information online and also getting an amazing hands-on demo with a Line 6 representative in a music store close to home here in Melbourne, Australia! This unit cannot be praised enough in my opinion. I love how much color and variety its given my tone on the Dingwall and Its really refreshing seeing all of these regular firmware updates. Look forward to talking to you all over time. Best regards
  9. Hi All, Basically what i'm after is to be able to record 3x wet signals at the same time via a suitable audio interface into my DAW. Set up consists of a pod hd 500, Yamaha digital piano & electric drum kit. The main issue i've encounted while searching for a suitable interface is the lack of line inputs. I was looking at the Focusrite 6i6 as it's in my price range, but I was unsure how i'd connect all 3 instruments? I'd planned on running the pod hd500 in to the interface via the XLR Out on the pod to the line input of the audio interface (via XLR to TRS 1/4) here is the problem... the research I've done also recommends connecting the digital piano via the same set up (R ----- L\+R out to audio interface line input) & i'd like to run the same type of connection to the electric kit... Is this as simple as me having to fork out the extra cash for a higher end audio interface, or can I run these 3 instruments via a different set up into the audio interface? I'd even be happy being able to record 2 wet signals at once. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks :)
  10. Hey guys. I was inspired by a fresh set of strings and came up with this bass tone in Helix Rack. Hope it can help someone!
  11. So I know that similiar problems have been posted here in recently, but none of the fixes work for me. I recently got the POD studio UX2, and installed POD farm 2.5 on my PC, along with all the necessary drivers (line6 monkey and the hardware driver) and registration steps. Unfortunately, I am still not able to get the interface/software to pick up my guitar. I have both my recording and playback devices set to the interface, selected "instrument" on the POD farm input menu, have the UX2 selected in the hardware preferences tab, and my guitar/cable works through an amp. The interface is lit up (yellow/orange lights on), but the dials don't move at all. I also noticed that I am unable to hear any other sounds from my computer (youtube/Spotify), so I am not sure if this helps isolate the issue. At this point I have no idea what to do and am considering opening up a ticket. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks
  12. Does anyone else experience lack of accuracy with the Helix on board tuner? I cant get a solid guitar tune with the Helix tuner at all. Below is a process of how I have checked them. On the helix, I have the tuner set to standard 440 pitch, and on my Boss TU-3 I have the same settings. The TU-3 accurately tunes my guitars, but the Helix is off by about -3cents on the some of the higher strings. There is no offsets, and the tuner is set to Guitar. Any ideas? Is this a known issue?

    Cables

Not sure where to post this, so please move if appropriate. I'm wondering what folks recommend for guitar cables. I just use whatever is cheap at my local store. Is there a preferred professional choice of cable? Thanks, Shawn
  14. Hi there, is there a known solution to plugging G10 transmiter to Ibanez soundgear bass guitars? Tried it with the included adapter but it is too short...
  15. Hi Guys,Anyone used the new Electric Impulses from Sigma3 Audio yet? Wondered what your thoughts are.
  16. Hey guys. Wondering if I can input a microphone in addition to my guitar so I can use it for some beatboxing while looping?
  17. Hi all For the last few years my preferred alternative to an amp has been to play my guitar through my PC using a Line 6 FBV Express MK II pedal with a Line 6 UX1 (Pod Studio) with Pod Farm 2. It's even great but my FBV is now intermittently faulty. This kit has been around for quite a few years now. Can anyone suggest a new set up giving me the same flexibility in the same sort of price range please? I need to be able to have amp sims and effects through my PC with the ability to change effects with some sort of floorboard. I'm happy to look for another second hand FBV Express MK II but if anyone can suggest a newer improved set up that would be great. Also are there any other floorboards that can bu used with my UX1 (Pod Studio)? Thanks all!
  18. Hello Folks, here is a little video about a song from the upcoming instrumental Fuge album: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VutvvaLIykU played with my good old POD XT! enjoy! :)
  19. Hi everyone! So I'm trying to figure out the best way to setup my HD500x. For live shows, I use an electric through a fender hot rod deville, an acoustic, and a mandolin. I'd like all of my effects to go through the HD500x for all instruments. But, obviously, I don't want the acoustic or mandolin running through my amp. Ideally, I'd like to set it up to where each instrument would be able to have a separate channel for mixing. But since this is impossible (to my knowledge at least), what is the best way to set this up? For only the electric to go through the amp and the mandolin and acoustic basically be run direct. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a lot!
  20. I have recently purchased a line6 MP multi-pedal. Recently the 2 far left buttons (above and below each other) do not work when I press them. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

  22. HI! i have pod gx but i want to sell it because i now have hd400 and am able to record music with it instead. I have no problems with recording guitar, However i have a problem with trying to record bass. When recording guitar i'm using the sound that is on the processor itself. When i want to record bass i want to use tones that are stored in POD Farm instead. When i connect my hd400 to the computer and run pod farm, the sound comes from both of them - there is a dual sound - one is a guitar amp from hd400, another is the bass amp tone i need from pod farm. When i try to record, it only records the sound that comes from hd400 directly and not the sound i need from pod farm. Is it possible to somehow mute hd400 sound and listen and record the pod farm sound instead? thank you
  23. Hey all, I have had my Helix for about two months and have just been playing it through an aux chord hooked up to my old guitar amplifier. I would like to get a much better sound because I feel like the aux chord + cheap guitar amp isnt doing it. I talked to one guy that played his Helix directly through a PA. What do you all think? What can I play my helix through that will give me a good sound? Any specific suggestions? Thanks!
  24. Hi Folks. My first post here. I have been researching the Helix as well as the AX8. I am 32, been playing tube amps for 12 years now. I have a lollipop pedal board because I am too cheap to overpay the ridiculous pedal train asking price. I find that no matter what tube amp i have(I've had a lot) there are always limitations with how i channel switch and use effects. I am in a gigging modern high gain metal/rock band and I am looking to simplify my rig. Currently, I am running this setup: Guitar=>pedal board(tuner, decimator, overdrive, flashback delay)=> laney ironheart=>mesa cab. What i am trying to understand, is whether I can replace my current rig with this: Guitar=>Helix=>poweramp=>mesa cab. My BIGGEST concern, is TONE. I want that great tube tone I've gotten out of my amps. I don't want the positive grid bias sound or the pod sound. I don't see many people using the Helix as their sole guitar tone source(aka no tube amp). Before I buy a Helix, should I feel confident in the setup I am proposing and the sound I am hoping to capture? Are there any limitations that I should be aware of? What would be a good power amp for this rig? Thanks much for any insight you can provide me. Also, here is my band to represent the tone I am going for. [youtubevid} [endyoutubevid]
  25. Hi, is there somebody who uses internal mic for recoding from guitar cabinet/speaker? I have new notebook and looking for USB soundcard + microphone so there is question, that Sonic Port VX is good "all-in-one" device for this?
