So i am use to podfarm 2.5 but its totally different. What i would like to know is how to use the hd500x the best way when using headphones. I dont own any halfstscks or 2x12's, only a 75w spider 4, so i cant use L/R stereo out. I keep hearing all these amazing tones (unmixed) but cant seem to reproduce them. And most patches are for big amps and dont sound the same. If any one can guide me in how to create great tones using headphones i would greatly appreciate it. For guitars i use a epiphone SG custom prophecy and a ibanez JEM77P-BFP. I also have a 10 band eq i could use as a chain with the pod.

Hi, Recently I updated my system to a beta version of mac osx sierra and because of this I'm unable to use my pod hd bean. Line 6 Monkey is able to determine the device and shows options to update drivers. After updating the drivers there is an automatic restart and line 6 Monkey shows me the same old driver and gives an option to update. Have tried installing the drivers manually from the line 6 website but still the same issue. It is not possible now to downgrade the mac to older OS. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

I've downloaded the spank 2 preset from a message in this forum (thanks, Derek32999!), and I see the 89 high-gain guitars have been posted for 59 and 69 users. Is anyone hosting a place for Workbench HD files while we wait for Customtone to feature a Variax section? -
In looper mode, when you stop recording, it immediately drops into overdub mode. If you don't stop playing the riff exactly when you hit the stop recording button, you'll over dub that first note. That causes volume of the first note of the loop to double. I'd prefer that you aren't dropped into overdub immediately, and instead have to press the rec/overdub button again to start recording a new layer. Is that configurable anywhere? I can't seem to find it.

My POD HD 400 automatically activates the "preset" knob which I use as a Reverb knob for my effects. It doesn't only modify the amount of effect by taking it to 99% instead of the 10% I usually have it set up, but it even changes the kind of reverb (I usually use the "room" reverb, but it goes to "plate" on its own). This is the first time it happens. I tried updating the firmware and the flash memory with the Line6 Monkey, but the problem is still there. What else could I do to solve this problem? Have you heard of something similar on other Line 6 products? Thanks in advance for your help on this.

Although the FBV 3 is fully compatible with the POD HD, POD HD Pro, and POD HD Pro X, the footswitch labels do not line up with the corresponding functions as compared to the FBV Shortboard MKII. The FBV 3 has been redesigned and it no longer has a Function 2 footswitch. What previously was assigned to the Function 2 switch on the Shortboard MKII is now done with FS 1 (Set List Select Mode On/Off) on the FBV3. The footswitches that were labeled Stomp, Modulation, Delay, and Reverb from the Shortboard are now FS 2 - FS 5 on the FBV3. Function 1 (Looper Mode On/Off) remains the same between both pedals. Also, when assigning stompboxes to footswitches, the POD will not correlate to the FBV 3, it will be off by one. So FS 1 on the Pod corresponds with FS 2 on the FBV3, and FS 2 on the POD is now FS 3, etc. See the figure below for an example.

I literally cannot get a single good clean tone. Even the ones of customtone sound like absolute lollipop. And when its slightly average its still insanely quiet so i have to do something to make it louder but then it becomes distorted. Any help? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sz-grkFv8Ac. Many threads have been started about how the overdrives and distortions are not the strong points of the POD HD series. However, there are some great blind tests on YouTube that show they actually do a great job modelling the real units they are based on. That leads me to believe that its not a weakness of the POD but rather the models themselves are dated compared to some of the ones in use today. Instead of asking for new amp models (I think the ones we have are plenty anyways) perhaps we would be better off with a collection of new overdrive and distortion models. I imagine these are easier to program than a complete amp but I could be wrong. Anyways, lets start a list of ultimate OD pedals that we would like to see in a future update. Here is my selection to get started: 1, Fulltone OCD V3 2. Wampler Sovereign 3. Wampler Triple Wreck What overdrive or distortion pedals would you add to the list?

Does anyone else have an issue with the POD HD Pro X (or other POD versions) overwriting patches seemingly randomly? This has happened to me on multiple occasions and it's kind of annoying when the only way to get the patch back is to restore it to defaults. I don't want to have to keep doing this. It seems like it happens when switching from one Set List to another, but there might be other factors, and it happens so sporadically that I am only just now coming to this conclusion after having the device for almost 3 years. For example, say I'm in the "User 2" on patch 5D. Then I switch to the "Best of HD" setlist and the 5D from "User 2" will now be the 5D there. Does this happen to anyone else? Is there a solution for it? It's really annoying and seems like something that should be patched.

Hey guys, I am a bass player looking for a really good multiefect and I am a big fan of line6s PODs. Especially the hd500. Now, I didn't tried it out but I heard that the hd 500 is equally good for the bass and the guitar and has all sords of efects and bunch of amps is that true? I am not very in to it so that why I am asking. Also, I have a really good chance to buy the POD 500x, but I don't know is it that good for the bass as the guitar. Because I want to use it for my bass guitar, does it have a bunch of efects and amps? I saw that the POD pro has only one amp for the bass I don't know is it with the hd500x the same? Anyway pls help me :)

Hey there Please can anybody help me? I was always using my POD HD 500 normally with USB and Reaper and everything, but today I'm having this issue: when POD is not plugged in the PC I can hear my guitar normally through Unbalanced Output and headphones, but when I plug it into my PC, sounds goes off in those outputs. I can hear PC's sounds normally, and Reaper is getting signal from it, but very distorted. If I unplug the USB, the sound comes back (despite my PC gets a blue screen, but I've had this issue before when unplugging the USB, and no problems with sound). My PC is a Sony Vaio VGN-FW460J with Windows 10, not sure if it's a problem with it tho. I'm hoping this is not a big issue, I'm depending a lot of my POD for these days!! Any help is welcome, thanks! -
Tengo un problema con mi POD HD al conectarlo por USB pasa un momento y se reinicia solo, esto solo sucede al conectarlo por usb, he probado distintos puertos usb y pasa lo mismo, alguna sugerencia?

Hi guys, I'm having a strange problem with my HD400. The thing is it randomly turns up or down any of the FX1, FX2, FX3 knobs of the "Smart FX" controls and the reverb knob too. It can be seen in the screen when it happens. I'm not quite sure what causes it, but I suspect that it has to do with the footswitches. Maybe hitting them a little harder than necessary causes this failure. Does anyone knows if it can be solved or fixed?

I just purchased a pod hd 300 and after some time there no display the rest of it is working fine with pc but no display in its screen (lcd thingy )

On the parallel pitch tab does it only allow for +12 or 0? I noticed in the manual it says that it defaults to +12 kind of implying, in my mind, that you could use other values. But that doesn't seem to be the case when I try it with Workbench. What I was trying to do was figure out a way to emulate a Micro Pog with 1 octave up, 1 octave down, and regular pitch. I had in mind that I could use alt tuning to drop an octave, parallel pitch to go up 2 octaves (+24), and blend in the magnetic pickups for standard tuning. I figured it was a long shot, but worth a try. I haven't actually messed with this via the guitar, I just had the idea while I was at work and loaded up the software to see if it was theoretically possible. Any ideas on how this could be done? -
I have a Crate stack and head with an input, insert, and two jacks for a foot switch. Upon research I can see that the Insert jack is for effect pedals, and I need an insert jack or a y-cable (which I haven't gotten to try out yet) I haven't been able to find anything related to these insert jacks and the pod HD500 and I'm wondering if the pod would work if I somehow plugged it into the insert jack and where would I plug the two jacks on the Y side to the pod? Sorry if I don't make sense. I'm not sure I understand how the fx return stuff works on amps and the pod.

Hello guys, I just bought the POD HD Pro X and I have a problem. The patches I downloaded from youtube people (Ola Englund, Fluff) and the patches I bought from a guy that sound awesome in their demos sound very harsh, thin and have no punch at all on my device. (They all used the HD Pro, does that matter? but USB aswell and no post processing) I use a Schecter Hellraise C-1 with active EMGs (and have the PAD button pressed), USB connection, headphones (monitors already ordered) and a PC with WIndows 10 and all Line 6 drivers installed. Hey guys I want to know a few things so bear with me if things go over your head. 1) can I run this head with just one output jack connected to a modded spider 4x12 that i customized to work in just 16 ohm mono operation? I read somewhere that both jacks need to be connected or the amp can blow if you crank it like this...? 2) I've been cranking this baby with 2 identically modded 16 ohm mono spider cabs will I eventually cause my amp to blow? 3) should I return my cabs to their 4 ohm mono/8 ohm stereo op? Could I remod to remain 8 ohm stereo but with a 16 ohm mono op? I just wanted to use all speakers for the sake of having a full range (jsyk not to be mistaken as frfr) tone through all speakers rather than just two speakers per side. Have I made a mistake? 3) has anyone else just used the CD/Mp3 input for the sole use of the power amp section...? I'm running a laptop w/ cockos reaper and a external usb pre amp outing to the mp3 input jack in stereo with backing tracks + amp modeing into the rig to get my desired result. What are your thoughts on this? 4) line 6 really needs to consider adding more speaker configurations, Poweramp in, and speaker cab mute switch (why mute the speaker when using the di through the amp.. wtf) to their next spider series if they still plan on selling these series later on in the future. *more of an opinion* -
My HD pro has started this thing where regardless of whether I use speakers or headphones there is a crackling sound in the left output every few seconds during playback and recording. Need advice ASAP!

I have tried and re-tried but can't seem to get this done. My laptop runs win7. I've got Monkey at 1.71, updated the USB firmware to 1.04, re-booted both POD and laptop ad nauseum, even turned off my Norton... but whenever Monkey tries to update the FW, it thinks it's successful yet shows the driver at 4.2.5.1. My goal is to get my hd500 from 2.32 to 2.62, but I don't want to even attempt this if I can't even get the drivers to update. Anybody got any ideas? Also, when updating the POD Flash Memory, am I supposed to hold down a nav button and power it on somewhere in the process? THANKS (in advance)!

Hi All, I'm having a problem with using my POD HD Pro for recording into Garageband that just recently began to persist and I have yet to find a solution for it. I'll describe my situation below, please help me if you can. Thanks! Setup: POD HD Pro Rack Garageband Macbook Pro (late '08/'09) OS X v10.10 (Yosemite) I normally record guitars and bass through my POD HD Pro rack and have just recently run into a problem with it. Usually, I'll plug in my POD via USB and in Garageband, it'll play through both sides of my headphones. Then, just a couple days ago, when I would pop the tuner on, tune up, then tap the tuner back off, the sound would be completely gone, not monitoring at all when there was just sound. So I would close my session, power off my POD, unplug, replug and turn it back on. Then it would work until I used the tuner again. I repeated this process a couple of times and then my POD began to only monitor through the right channel of Garageband. If I would pan the track hard left, there would be absolutely no sound. If I panned hard right, there would be the same amount of sound on the right from 100%-0% pan. Additionally, I removed the POD from the audio track and switched my input to the laptop's microphone and it monitors through both headphones as normal. Any ideas on why this is happening? I've plugged my headphones into the POD directly and it monitors through both sides of my headphones perfectly. Any help on this issue is much appreciated. Is it possible that a USB output setting on the POD glitched off by accident? Thanks, Erik -

Hi guys! I'm sure this question has been answered before but i searched and searched and couldn't find any info on it. I'm wanting to have different loops saved into different patches. So when you go to a patch, a patch-specific loop plays. I have no idea if this is possible or not but I knew this would be the best place to ask. Thanks!

I would like to know if there is a way with the pedal HD500, to overlay and mix the clean guitar signal to the effects ........ for example, I would like my final sound is a clean sound + sound distorted not only a clean sound or only a distorted sound, and i wish they were the two mixed sounds ....... You 'can do everything with HD500? or do I have to buy a blend mix ???? What if you could do that with HD500, send procedure ...... thank you Francis

Is it possible to update the firmware on the DT25 by using the Pod HD Pro via MIDI cables? I don't see the Pod in my computer MIDI devices...
