  1. Hi, first of all, my english sucks, so im gonna try to do my best Its possible to change the amp value of the drive with a footswitch on the pod hd500x ? i've search all over the internet and all i've got is turn on and off effects and amps, but not how to change this. Please Help
  2. Hi there folks! I was messing around with my pod hd 500, but i had some feedback problems while rehearsing with my band... When i'm at home, i usually amplify the sound around 65~85dB* which is a casual/domestic loudness. When i am at a live situation or rehearsal, I frequently pull the volume up to something around 95~110 dB, and in this situations I get an annoying feedback (not the nice one usually brought by valves). This problem, though, is not exclusive to the pod. With the Zoom G2 and G9.2tt i had, this also used to happen, although more easily. So i guess that the problem is not hardware, but tweaking. My signal chain in POD HD 500 is: Fassel (Wah Pedal) - Tube Comp - Noise Gate - Treadplate (4x12 Tread V-30 + SM57 on X) - Volume Pedal - Digital Delay (turned off by default) I am using an Epiphone LP Standard. Seems like turning off/reducing compression works for the feedback, but it destroys timbre. Raising noise gate, at the point it already is, would decrease sustain in an enormous way. What can i do? ---------- *deciBel leves considered at 1 meter from the speaker.
  3. Hi i need opinions of this PA Alto SXM112A, for the pod hd 500, is worth or not? i play in church trough mixers and line array systems so for monitoring i use a small acoustic amp, sounds good but not have the same tone of the line array. So i need opinions somebody?
  4. I've seen others complain about the new Strat/Spank position 2 & 4 ("quack") settings being not as good in 2.0, but Line 6 responded that there will be a fix for that, What about the Chime / Rickenbacker settings? I like the older ones better, these sound less authentic, both 6 and 12 string models. Anyone else feel the same? Line 6, is there going to be a further update/fix for that?
  5. Please put the Pod X3 Live back in production. Just the way it was, No new moddeling tech or current gen processing. I have owened, Pod HD500, Pod HD400, Pod HD Pro & Pod HD Desktop (twice). Every amp model sounds exactley the same. I think your current gen Algorhythmns are flawed. You had it right with X3 Live. I have the X3 Bean but need the effects loop of the X3 Live. I think this would be a nice alternative that you could offer for players I know this won't happen but, There it is....
  6. Good day ! I seem to be having a problem when I play distorted and I have no idea if it's from the pod or my guitar . When I play distorted , I seem to be having a second distortion "behind" the distortion of the amp . It's a bright distortion , not loud but noticeable , and it sounds like when you have a slightly broken speaker that gives a crackling sound at certain frequencies. It's not because of my speakers , I recorded the sound and listened to it through different speakers and headphones . So it's either from the guitar or from the POD . It appeared out of the blue , after the last update but it turned up after a few days ( or I didn't notice it before ) Can anyone give me any advice ? Has anyone ever had this problem ? It's not from the jack input ... I took it out , all the wires are soldered , I cleaned it ... Thank you !
  7. Any suggestions on how I can get a BIG sound with my POD HD desktop 2 amps? Mixer settings? Chorus effects? etc.... Thanks!

While I really think this is a let down for most of us it probably is a big move up for a lot of beginning musicians and hobbyists. The price point is kept low by pushing a lot of the interface and system management off board to the user's own iGear. They also kept DSP needs low by using older modeling and saved more by not integrating a host of in/out options, no D/A or A/D conversions, etc. Trouble is that while this incarnation is disappointing, the concept has a lot of potential and I would not be surprised to see a professional version in the future. Same power section and speaker/cab options but with HD modeling as per the DT, the acoustic resonance DSP from the L2/3 series, M Series effects, professional in/out (XLR, 1/4, L6 link, VDI) and FX Loop. Manage all your patches and set lists from your iGear (or Droid hopefully) and everything cloud sourced. So where the DT was the perfect tube match for the POD HD, AMPLIFI HD would be the perfect stereo FR/FR match in a portable combo size package. If you need your pedals, bring your POD or floorboard with you too. L6 link could still allow you to expand by adding an L2/3 or sending a perfect feed to the Dream Stage. No reason the same cloud sourcing couldn't tone match for HD models too. Then you seriously could just grab your JTV and this one box, plug right in and be good to go. Great solution for solo gigs with backing tracks. Of course everything comes at a price. My guess is AMPLIFI HD150 comes in around $1200 and a $100 less for the AMPLIFI HD75. Anyone interested? :)
  9. I just 'updated' my brand new, unmodified jtv69 to firmware 2.0. It's interesting that after three tries at updating the flash memory ending ending with the dreaded MIDI port error message, restarting Monkey displayed the flash memory as being v2.0...if it was...I haven't plugged it into an amp yet...(The models are all GONE!!!!) I started Workbench HD and it automatically began to download the models from the guitar. It replaced all of the named models in workbench with "????????????" with NO settings (pickups/bodies, etc) in Workbench. I restarted Workbench and the basic settings were all there until the download automatically began again... HOWEVER ALL OF THE MODELS ON MY GUITAR ARE GONE!!!!! What's happening???? WHAT CAN I DO??!?!?!?!?!?!? SOUNDS LIKE THE UPDATE TRASHED MY GUITAR, EH? (Attached File - restart Workbench, interrupted download after first model) I TRIED TO ROLLBACK THE GUITAR -- STILL NO DAMN MODELS PLAYING!!!! I DEMAND AN ANSWER OR THIS THING IS GOING BACK TO SWEETWATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. My biggest complaint about Line6 is that new PODs don't include all the older model amps and effects. I can't move all my meticulously-designed patches onto the latest and greatest product. So right now I have to deal with two pieces of rack gear (X3 Pro and HD Pro), and that complicates everything - footswitching, multiple outputs, midi, external loops, bypass, etc. I realize that older amps and effects models aren't "HD." I just don't understand why they can't be converted as-is to be available as legacy patches on the new PODs. I would gladly pay for that. Please let me know if I've missed something about all this. I would love to learn that there's a project in motion to convert all the old stuff. Thanks for any info!
  11. Good day , The title is not really the most appropriate ...but I didn't know how to call my problem , so allow me to explain . I connect my POD HD to the PC via USB and use it as an external sound card , I use it with my DAW to record . I set up my effects on the POD HD and my signal , with effects and all , is fed into the DAW . To the before-mentioned signal , I add effects directly from the DAW and I want to hear the sound in REAL TIME as I am playing . But when I want to hear it in real time , I hear the signal doubled : The RAW SIGNAL that is fed into the DAW from my POD HD and the RAW SIGNAL + DAW EFFECTS both come back through my headphones or speakers. Is there a way to mute this RAW SIGNAL , so I could hear only the signal that comes back from the DAW ?
¿Qué recomendación me harían?
  13. Hey guys, i'm in serious need of some better sound. I want to get a 4x12 cabinet, i have been looking at something like the Line 6 412VS so i can finally use the stereo capabilities of my POD HD... Just wondering, can i plug it straight into the cabinet and have it work? Or will i need a Stereo Poweramp or something?
  14. I have a POD HD Pro and recently acquired an ADA MP-1 preamp,. I have the MP1 in the FX loop of the Pod, and it's working quite well. I just ordered a midi cable. The ADA is a Midi preamp. Is it possible to set up MIDI to change the ADA preset based on my pod patches? So pod patch 1A the ADA is on preset 1, Pod patch 1b the ADa is on preset 2, etc? Would love some tips on how to do this if possible, but i'll also take "it's possible, read the manual" if anyone knows it can be done - thanks!
  15. Hi, I'm wondering what customtones works with my Pod HD? Can I i.e download and use podxt's and Pod 2.0's customtones to my Pod HD? Or are the only customtones I can download and use with my Pod HD the customtones uploaded under the section Pod HD on line6's webbsite?
  16. Was wondering if you can use 2 interfaces on the same computer ( but not at the same time) I'm thinking of buying the POD HD Desktop, but it doesnt have the 2 inputs like my UX-1 has for my Keyboards So even if I add the POD HD and disconnect it I want to be able to connect the UX-1 and add keys in my recordings. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Rob
  17. I tried to do this last night and it sounded really bad. I switched the XLR to the balanced mono on the Pro and the input on the L2M and it sounded a little better. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to turn off the cab sims? Do I put the DSP on the L2M to Line or Electric Guitar? Help!!!!
  18. Deutsch Français Mono/Stereo Table for the POD HD Series Effects. Special Thanks to JimRyanLine6 who originally researched and created this list. True Stereo - Left input goes to the Left output, Right goes to the Right output, effect is added to each channel separately. Mono - Left input and Right input are summed to mono, effect is added to the mono signal which goes to both the Left and Right outputs. Stereo Thru/Mono Effect - Left input goes to the Left output, Right input goes to the Right output, Left input and Right input are summed to mono, effect is added to the mono signal which goes to both the Left and Right outputs. Stereo Thru/Stereo Effect - Left input goes to the Left output, Right input goes to the Right output, Left input is processed to create a stereo effect and mixed with the Left and Right outputs, Right input is processed to create a stereo effect and mixed with the Left and Right outputs. The difference between the last two is a mono effect will sound like it is in the center of the stereo field, a stereo effect will lay across the stereo field. mono_stereo.doc Mono / Stereo-Tabelle für die Effekte de POD HD-Serie.
  19. Hi guys, I recently bought a Pod Hd Pro rack off of a friend and I'm running this through a ART SLA-1 Power amp (100watts@8ohms) and into an Avatar 8ohm cab (120 watts) with celestian V30s. I was practicing with some guys the other day, and for some reason, I have to crank the master AND channel volume all the way to the max to even hear it at a decent volume compared to everyone else(Drummer+6505 guitarist). Are there any settings I should be changing on the pod pro so that it is used for live amp use? or perhaps maybe the power amp is just not that strong?..
  20. I have a JTV-89 (korean - stoptail) running 2.0 firmware. Strung with DR Pure blues 9's. I don't play metal so this isn't the classic palm muting scenario, but I just have a habit of resting my hand across the bridge saddles when I play (pick or fingers). This results in the occasional pop and click at random when the modelling is turned on. I am not actively putting pressure on the saddles, it's just a comfortable place to rest hand that developed over years of sitting on a couch with a les paul. The further away I keep my right hand from the bridge the less it happens but it's still annoying. I have tried lowering the global string volume to -3db and -6db but neither made the problem go away. Are the piezos that sensitive to direct downward pressure? Any info would be helpful. Problem number 2: I'm a bass player. Problem number 3: I like to occasionally slap/pop on a guitar as if I would on a bass. The modeling system REALLY doesn't work with this technique. The mags work fine. Again, I suspect it is an issue of the direction of the force. All the modelling seems to pick up are the harmonics, very little fundemental and no attack. It is an interesting phenomenon to me because I have an NS CR4 electric upright wich also uses a piezo system but has a variable control for how the system deals with attack (bowed or pizz). Since guitars largely aren't designed for this sort of anything perhaps there should be no expectation that in the future this would be a consideration but I wouldn't complain as I like using bass techiques on guitar from time to time.
