  1. Hello! So I have a problem, I'm using my UX 1's line input as mono input, I'm recording my guitar amp's line out. I can hear everything well from both sides of my headphone, but I can hear only in mono. I spent like two hours to set one of my tracks to play only in the left, and another in the right side from my DAW, and it's worked from the first minute, but I didn't noticed, because UX 1 sends mono signal to headphones. Checked every settings, can not find anything suspect, basically I can not set too much on UX 1. Already find some similar issues with UX 1, but no solution. Do you have any idea, what should be the problem? I'm using a stereo jack, so this should not be the root of the problem. Any idea is welcome! Thank you!
  2. Aloha from Honolulu, Just got a refurbished JTV-59 from Line 6. Excited. A couple of newbie questions... (1) What is the best way to listen to Workbench changes through headphones? I read somewhere that I could run it through my POD HD500X, but it seems I'm hearing the POD's settings, not Workbench changes. I tried a "blank" slot in the POD, but it still wan't very satisfactory. What am I doing wrong? (2) I'm now running my JTV into my MacBook Pro and out to a Vox cabinet. Change the setting tho' I do — both on screen and with the JTV-59's knobs — but it all seems to sound the same. I'd have though a Les Paul simulation would be rather different from an acoustic 12-string from a banjo... Again, I must be messing up somehow... Any suggestions gratefully received. Will go back and re-watch the tutorials out there, try to get some of those tones... Mahalo! Cat
  3. Just wondering if anyone has tried to use the headphone out connected to a bluetooth transmitter like this: Amazon.com: Bluetooth Tranismitter Then, simply pair it up to your Bluetooth headphones and you have a cheap on-stage/rehearsal in ear monitor for yourself? Would that work?!? **EDIT** I found a solution that works for me, see my detailed reply below
  4. Why do I get great sound with my in-ear headphone (Shure E110) and not my speakers (Logitech z623 2.1) with Podfarm2 ? What speakers do you recommend for good sound? Thank you.

    NO OUTPUT

Hello I've just bought the LINE6 FIREHAWK,I have played for one hour, then I plug my headphones. When I've unplugged my headphone, no signal came out (XLR),. I've made a downgrade, then upgrade... factory restore... NO OUTPUT! Please, help me! txs
  6. I can't get any guitar through the Helix Headphone jack whatsoever. I use a Variax into the Helix. I can hear recorded tracks through the Helix headphone jack when connected with a usb cable to my computer, but no guitar. When I disconnect the computer and just attempt to play guitar, absolutely nothing comes through the headphone jack. Have been into global settings and tried all three available headphone settings "multi" "1/4" and "XLR" and still nothing.
  7. Hi everyone, what about something a little bit smaller than POD? ;) http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Amp-Preamp-Stompbox-with-effects-loop-and-headphone-output/836960-23508
  8. Hi there, Does anybody know what kind of DAC and/or amp is behind the headphone out jack on the Firehawk FX? When I connect the Firehawk to my computer via USB and play AIFF for FLAC files from iTunes, the music has much more clarity, instrument separation, and clean power than just plugging headphones straight into my iMac headphone jack. Jamming with my favorite songs is a very high sound quality experience. I use Sennheiser HD598 headphones, so that helps. Because the result it similar to using a dedicated USB DAC/headphone amp combo, I just wondered what's in the Firehawk that makes it sound so good. Anybody know? Or is that a trade secret?
  9. Firehawk 1500 arrived this morning. Very impressed. Default patches a bit eurgh, but have dialled in some nice ones of my own already. However, headphone output seems to be mono-only even when the output is wide stereo. Same headphones yield Stereo on my HD Pro X... Anyone else experienced this?
  10. I have recorded a Practice and a show to SD card and all is good but I don't want the hassle of using a daw when the M20d output already has sounds the way I want it. I know I could record the main mix on SD but the backline instruments will be off. How do you guys record? I was thinking of using my Android phone but I would need an adaptor for stereo input. I own an Alesis IO dock that I use with my I pad. could I use that in some way? Rob..
  11. Hi, I have a monitor headphones with an impedance of 150 om. Will it work properly with Sonic Port, I mean the volume and frequency characteristics? (didn't find any mention about the output headphones impedance for Sonic Port)
  12. My Spider Jam is just over 1 year old, its been great so far, but today it thinks there are headphones plugged in, so absolutely no output from the speakers. I've done a factory reset, checked all the levels and tried every which way to resolve it but no joy, its not the guitars or leads as everything works fine with the Fender and Roland amps. I tried phoning the helpline, but was on hold for ages, i raised support ticket, just wondered if anyone has any ideas? thanks
  13. I just bought a Pocket POD and I am looking for recommendations for a pair of headphones that have sturdy cords and good output. I'm using a pair that came with my smartphone (they were handy) and the volume is not very loud when I play through without effects. I'm not looking for expensive $200 versions, but I am willing to spend $50 if they are more durable than a cheap pair and sound good. Thanks
  14. Is it possible, for late night practice, to play JTV throgh Pod HD500x and listen using quality Headphones? Thanks a lot
  15. Die deutsche Version finden Sie unter der englischen. Vous pouvez trouver la version francaise dessous l'allemand. Q: What size are the headphone outputs on my Line 6 device? A: The majority of the headphone jacks on Line 6 products are 1/4". The Floorpod series, Pocket POD, Pocket POD Express, Guitarport, and POD Studio/Toneport GX have a 3.5mm (1/8") headphone jack. Q: What is the recommended headphone ohm rating for use with Line 6 products? A: For devices with a 1/4" output, we recommend headphones rated between 150-600 ohm (pro or semi-pro level) studio headphones for best results. For those with an 1/8" output, headphones designed for MP3 player usage are usually a good match. Results may vary between headphone models and manufacturers. Q: Can I use smaller earbud-style (i.e. iPod) headphones with my Line 6 gear? A: Earbud-style headphones (typically under 150 ohms) are not recommended for devices with a 1/4" output. Some users of earbud-style headphones have experienced a "motorboat" sound in the headphones. Results may vary between between headphone models and manufacturers. Q: I noticed that when I plug my headphones into my Line 6 amplifier, there is no sound from the speaker. Is this intended? A: Yes, inserting a plug into the headphone jack will mute the speaker. Q: My Line 6 amp headphone jack is also labeled direct/recording output. Can I use the speaker and the headphone jack at the same time? A: There is no way to have both the speaker and headphone jack/DI output active at the same time.
  16. Applications Q: What are the presets on the Lowdown Studio 110 and LD 15 amplifier? A: The Studio 110 and LD 15 have four savable channels directly on the amplifier, which are Clean (Eden model), R&B (Ampeg B15 fliptop model), Rock (Ampeg SVT model), and Grind (Sansamp model). The Studio 110 also has a “synth” option, accessed by pressing the R&B and Rock models simultaneously. The LD15 has a hidden “Brit model” which is accessed by pressing/holding the Clean and R&B model buttons as your turn on the power. The Clean and R&B lights will flash back and forth to indicate that you have changed the Clean model into the Brit model. Q: Is there a list for suggested settings for the LD Studio110 or LD15 amplifier? A: No, there is no preset list for the LD 110 or LD15, but you can download the dowdown Preset Chart from the manuals section and experiment with the settings (taking note that there is no amp model or channel volume control) Lowdown Presets Q: Are there any video tutorials I can view to learn more about the Lowdown? A: Please see the Lowdown Movies in the product description page. Lowdown Movies Q: Is there an editing software that works with the Lowdown amplifier? A: No, there is no editing software for the Lowdown series as there is no way to connect the lowdown amplifier to your computer. Q: Is there a "manual mode" for a LD Studio110 or LD15 like on the other LD series amplifiers? A: No, there is no manual mode for the LD Studio110 for the LD15. Q: How do I change the tuner's reference frequency on the Lowdown? A: The Lowdown Tuner Reference Frequency cannot be changed - it's 440 all the way. Setup/Connections Q: Is there a direct out on the Lowdown 110 or LD 15 amplifier? A: Yes, there are balanced line level XLR and unbalanced 1/4" outputs on the Lowdown 110, both of which output processed tone. The LD-15 has an unbalanced ¼” output which will output processed tone (which doubles as a headphone output). The XLR output of the Studio 110 is not affected by the output volume of the amplifier, and will send a cabinet simulated tone to your mixing console. The unbalanced ¼” output of the Studio 110 and LD15 is affected by the master volume setting, so keep this in mind when using this as a direct recording connection. Q: What if I do not want the cabinet tone but rather a unaffected tone (like a DI Box to go to the PA?) A: If you desire an unaffected bass tone in addition to the cabinet simulated tone, you will want to go into a DI box and send the DI signal to the mixing console. Be sure to have the instrument output of the DI go into the instrument input of the Lowdown amplifier to get sound from the Lowdown. Q: Can I use a Line 6 controller with the Lowdown Studio 110 or the LD15? A: No, there is no CAT-5 jack on the Studio 110 or the LD15 for a Line 6 controller. Q: Does the Lowdown Studio 110 or the LD15 have an effects loop? A: No, neither the Lowdown Studio 110 or the LD15 has an effects loop. Q: Can I connect an external pre-amp (i.e. Line 6 POD unit) to the Lowdown Studio 110 or the LD15? A: Yes, an external preamp can be connected to the instrument input of the Lowdown, be sure to send an instrument level signal rather than a line level signal to avoid clipping and/or damage to the Lowdown. An external pre-amp can also be run into the MP3 input jack, which would relegate the Lowdown amplifier to a “powered speaker”. Q: Can I connect an external cabinet to a Lowdown Studio 110 or the LD15? A: No, there are no external speaker connections on the Lowdown combo series Studio 110 or the LD15 Specifications Q: What's the rated wattage output and speaker size of the Lowdown Studio 110 and the LD15?? LD15: 15 watts/ (1) 8” speaker Studio 110: 75 watts/ (1) 10” speaker Registration and Warranty Information Q: What is the warranty on the Lowdown Series? A: the warranty on the Lowdown series is twelve months from the date of purchase. Q: How do I register the Lowdown? http://line6.com/account/registergear/ Troubleshooting/Service Q: How do I perform a factory reset on the Lowdown? A: The reset procedure for a Lowdown amplifier is to hold the Clean button for 5 seconds while powering the amp. Q: My amp seems to be malfunctioning. What can I do as an end user? Line 6 Amp Trouble Shooting Q: I am noticing hiss in the headphones with the Lowdown Studio 110? A: This may not be an issue on all Lowdown Studio 110 amplifiers. Depending on what brand of headphones you are using, as well as what amp model/settings are up, you may or may not hear hiss. Individual preference will determine if the perceived signal/noise ratio is acceptable. Please DO NOT return your Lowdown Studio 110 for a replacement unit if you feel that this is an issue. Our service centers would be happy to fix this issue for you. Keep in mind; this fix requires that one of our technicians perform a custom modification to the headphone amplifier, which requires that we open up your amp. The reason that some users may hear hiss is due to the gain structure design of this amp and a couple of surface mount resisters need to be replaced. Customer Support is unable to guide you through the repair and only our authorized service centers can take care of this fix. NOTE: If a customer opens up their amp and attempts to alter their electronics in any way, they will void your manufacturer’s warranty on their Lowdown Studio 110. Also, keep in mind that the repair may take several weeks based on the specific service center’s turn around time. If the nearest service center is too far from your location, and you need to ship your unit to that service center, Line 6 WILL NOT cover the associated shipping costs If you are aware of the above information and you still wish to have your amp repaired, Line 6 will cover the costs of parts and labor. Please have your receipt ready before you contact a service center. If you cannot find your receipt, please talk to the dealer where the amp was purchased, and request a duplicate receipt.
