  1. I recently tried Helix Native, a week after, I was curious on why my DAW freezed. I tried to do programming with cmd and powershell if the solution would be there but no luck. So I tried it in another DAW and it also freezed, so I went back to the DAW that I usually use and tried a different plug-in and there seems to be no problem at all, when I inserted the Helix Native, it freezed again. Is there any solution to this issue? I've read a few forums and I didn't see any solution for this. Hopefully Line6 would fix it cause it has great tones and I just recently finished getting my tone and it would be a waste if it just freeze everytime.
  2. Well, in case you hadn’t noticed, and as most people don’t seem to bother visiting the dedicated HX Native section - Helix Native v.3.11 was released on June 1st, with very little fanfare in these forums. It has been noted that it fixes the Big Sur issues of “sluggishness” etc. The two bullet points state: Improved stability and performance on macOS Big Sur. Other minor improvements and bug fixes. Also, a new updated HX Edit v3.11 is available. Improved stability and performance on macOS Big Sur. HX Stomp/HX Stomp XL: Renamed snapshots would not appear in HX Edit's command center window. HX Stomp's Input block could show as "None" on rare occasions after restoring from a backup. Other minor improvements and bug fixes. Hope this helps/makes sense for all those who were troubled by the previous version. Go get it.
  3. Hi, I'm selling my Helix Native License by "Gift" transfer. (150$).
  4. Hi there! I'm an owner of Helix rack, controler and mission pedal. That works great. To complement this, I purchased a year ago Helix Native to have that also. Presently, it's at version 1.82. I wanted to update it to a higher version, possibly 3.10 if I may, but for the life of me I can not find anywhere a button or a menu where I can update the version already installed on my laptop. How is it done if it can be done at all? Thanks for your help. Much appreciated.
  5. Hello, I am thinking to purchase the helix native plugin with a registered HX stomp. But is this plugin the full version of helix or is it like the HX stomp with maximum 8 blocks? Can i use it without connecting the HX stomp? Use my focusrite as interface? My HX stomp is on my "big" pedalboard and if this works i can leave my pedalboard at our rehearsal place more often. I can create and experiment with the helix native before i load everything on the HX stomp ;-). Thx!
  6. After installing Windows 10 on my PC I downloaded and installed Reaper and Helix Native 3.01. However, I've been unable to run Native in Reaper even though it worked flawlessly before Windows reinstall. I'm getting the dialog pictured below when I try to use VST3 version of Helix Native, and when I tried installing and running VST2 Reaper would just crash when I tried adding Native to a track, or when trying to open a project that uses Native. I tried downloading older versions of Native, but the only one I could get to work was Native 1.00, which is no good, since I need some blocks form the updated version for the recording I'm doing. I also checked, and I have Disk 0 listed in my disk manager, although it's not the system drive. I also tried downloading and installing Hx Edit, since I though it might install some necessary files with it, but it also doesn't work. After clicking the program icon the window doesn't even appear, and when looking at task manager I can see that it closes promptly after starting. Also, I tried running Helix Native in Cantabile, which is a freeware VST host, and it also crashed. Please help! EDIT: Managed to find a solution In my case the crash was caused by memory card reader in my PC case. When I disabled it, Native and Edit started to work.
  7. I just picked up a Mission ep-1 and set up the wha in Helix Native to engage when I step on it but it takes until it's at 50% engaged before it turns on. Is there a way to set it to start much earlier? FYI when I tried it with the TH-U Slate wha it works as expected... instantly. Thanks. Leroy
  8. Hi! I have too many options on how to record the guitar tone to Logic Pro X and dont know what is best practice? I've got an UA Twin Apollo card, a Helix floor and also Helix Native in Logic Pro X 10.5. 1. I started out recording my Helix floor, going out from the XLR outputs on the Helix output straight in to my Universal Audio inputs. Hence, I had to set the sound right and could not tweak the sound with Helix components afterwards. Still good sound though. 2. I bought Helix Native and tried to record a dry signal straight in to the Universal Audio instrumental input and then tweaked the sound in Logic using Helix Native. The issue I got is that you normally end up with quite a number of guitar tracks (intro, solo, chorus.....) and that caused latency. I could live with that, adjust buffer size when recording and mixing and still be ok. 3. I accidentally hooked up the Helix floor with USB to the iMac and recorded straight through the Helix floor, without using the UA apollo twin. Also sounded great. 4. Having experienced the above, I thought I would do a combination, meaning I record both from a normal preset on the Helix (with a ready made sound) and a dry signal at the same time ( to be able to tweak it later with Helix Native, would the need occurr.). 5. Yes, I've got a Powercab and 57's mics etc but I would prefer not recording that way but would prefer recording straight in to the computer without the need to amplify the sound through the powercab and record through a microphone. I'm a total beginner in this, what do you guys have as your way to go when recording if you have both a Helix and Helix Native? Is there such a thing as a standard practice? kind regards, Joakim
  9. Hey folks, Jack here from Peach Guitars. First time on the forum, so just wanted to say Hi! We recently put out a video focusing on the amazing Helix Native plugin, and I ran through a few of my own use cases for it. In case you haven’t seen it, you can check the video out below. Also, we’re currently running a deal where the purchase of any Helix or Helix LT will get you the Native software for free, so check out the web link below for more details on that, too! Hopefully some of you may find this useful - enjoy! Exploring Helix Native - Peach Guitars Line 6 Deal - Free Helix Native Cheers folks, if you have any questions please let me know! Jack
  10. Hey guys! I bought a new iMac and I need to download the Helix Native again from my Line 6 account. Do you guys could tell me how to do that? Thank you! ;)
  11. Can you use Helix Native Plug-in in Pro tools with the helix floor? While recording I want to be able to use the presets on my helix floor and upload them onto my band members helix native. This would allow me to use the helix floor as the controller for the tone that is being recorded thus allowing me to change the tone after if needed while listening back, this would then remove the re—amping process and need for wet-dry recording. They could communicate similar to helix Edit and helix floor, and allow for real time adjustments and tone thanks
  12. I installed a trail version of Helix Native 1.91 about 10 days ago and it worked up to now, but since today the plugin does not open and Logic gets stuck - so I have to Force Quite the application. In a thread it was suggested to delete the installation files and reinstall - it did it several times without success. The internet connection is fine, as I also downloaded the installation file and checked the MD5 hash. I also tried with another DAW (tracktion), but same behaviour. What I deleted before reinstallation: /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/Line 6 /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Helix Native.component /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Line 6 (did not exist) /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Line 6/* /Library/Application Support/Line 6/*
  13. Hello I will try to be as clear and brief as possible. I have the following situation with using my HX Stomp with Helix Native. I'm using the USB 5 input which corresponds to the direct signal from the guitar without being processed by the HX Stomp and anyway when I record a signal(empty preset), if I change the preset on the stomp the signal is affected in its gain level which is not it should happen as usb 5 sends the totally clean raw signal through the stomp. I read in another topic on this forum a similar situation and one of the support responses was that it was a "Bug" which the Line 6 team was already working to fix in a future update. I have read the manual, I have my HX Stomp with HX Edit updated just like Native. I have the Hx Stomp driver installed. I am using Cubase LE Al Elements 10.5 (Purchased) and my OS is MacOS Catalina 10.15.6. If someone could help me I will be very grateful. If I forgot something ... this is the first time I have written on this forum. Thank's!! About the picture : - The guit 01 block corresponds to the usb 5 signal with an empty preset. - The guit 02 block corresponds to the usb 5 signal with a preset created by me in the stomp. - Guit 06 block corresponds to usb 5 using my scarlett focusrite and audio 01_06 is the signal using usb stereo input 1 and 2 (Signal processed) with a preset that I created. **These last two blocks are irrelevant.**
  14. Logic Pro X 10.5 - Helix Native Issues Since upgrading to the newest version of Logic Pro X 10.5, my Helix Native plugin is running horribly slow. I have tried all of my other guitar plugins and they are working perfectly. After lots of testing, it has come down to only Helix Native that is having issues. When changing/dragging blocks, adding new amps/effects, or simply trying to select patches, there is always a delay. Almost as if when you (for instance) try to move a block in the signal chain, it takes a second to realize what you are doing and delays your command. Very annoying and makes it difficult to work quickly. Any clues? Is there a way to uninstall Helix Native and re-install easily on a Mac? It seems that the upgrade to Logic 10.5 has done the damage, but again, only with Helix Native. I am running OS Mojave 10.14.6 and the most current version of Helix Native.
  15. Hello everyone, I would like to buy a licence for Helix Native because I bought an Helix pedalboard (second hand) but I can't register my stuff officialy. No more than 150 please. Thanks
  16. The Native plugin is pretty big to load and is a lot of UX if all you want is an amp or a reverb. Anyone else feel the need for something similar to Pod Farm Elements where you can access individual categories of effects as separate more lightweight plugins?
  17. I’m new to recording and having a problem. Just purchased Helix Native and Studio One Professional V5. My favorite patch sounds awesome. I connect to my computer and create two tracks to record the processed and DI. I create a Stereo track via USB 1 for the processed and a Mono track via USB 5 for the DI. My recording worked great. On playback, the processed track sounds great just as it does directly from the Stomp. I then add Hexlix Native to the mono DI track and pull up the exact same patch as the original and it sounds terrible. I made sure all settings were identical. The original wet track is a big stereo sound. The DI with Native sounds like it’s in stereo but nothing like the original. I’m wondering if I did something wrong with the track set-up. Should my DI mono track be converted to some sort of stereo track? I appreciate any thoughts you guys may have.
  18. Price : $249 I would like to sell my Helix Native by gifting the activation key to your line6 account Send me a notice if interested.
  19. Hey guys, I am now experimenting with recently launched Universal Audio's DAW called "LUNA". Apparently, LUNA doesn't not recognise Helix Native as plugin or audio units. Does anyone have tried anything or know if there is any sort of compatibility ? Regards Andre
  20. Hi there! About 5 years ago I purchased the UX2 audio interface along with PodFarm 2.5 with the metal shop pack. It has been a great experience but then I saw that there is a possibility to buy Helix Native. From what I understand, it's pretty much a modern & way more clear sounding PodFarm that's built in the Helix products. I have been thinking to upgrade to Helix Native but I am not sure whether it's going to work well (if at all) on the UX2 given that it's a pretty old device. Helix products cost a lot more than the UX2 and it seems like there should be a catch if I try to use it this way. If it's possible to run Helix Native using a UX properly, how different would it be than to use a Helix rack? I assume that the output quality is different, but other than that, will it affect the recording quality as well? If I record something with Helix Native using a Helix rack and then record the same thing using a UX2 with Helix Native, how different will the final product sound? I would like to know the limitations and differences, if any of you can point them out. Maybe I should just buy a Helix rack or multi-effect instead of a software upgrade alone. Also, is it a stand alone software like PodFarm 2.5 or is it just an addition to the DAW? Thanks a lot! PS: I know that I can demo it for free for 2 weeks before buying but I also didn't want to start the demo only to find out that it doesn't work at all on the UX2.
  21. I bought the Helix Native and not able to install it. I downloaded the installer, and when I double clikk on it, a window with this message. pops up: “Helix Native.pkg” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. I do not have any virus program on my computer. (Macbook pro MacOS Catalina). I even tried to turn internet off. It also says the software needs to be updated at Line 6, but I clicked on the newest version after I purchased it, I dont know what to update, there is no newer version of it on Line 6.I just bought this 5 days ago. I have a support ticket, but no answer. Please help...
  22. Hi, all, Of course, I seem to have the one problem that I cannot find on Google, YouTube, etc, so her I am.. i have just just updated My Helix Native to the latest iteration and I have also purchased IR’s from Line 6 and Dl’ed the free Allure pack, as well. the problem is I can’t seem to be able to use them. They don’t drag and drop as it shows in videos, also when I drag and I are to where I want ita white no go sign appears that seems to be telling me “No Dice, Baby.” can anyone share a solution with me? Thanks in advance.. Holly
  23. Hello guys, I have a strange problem with Helix Native in Cubase 9.0.40. When I activate the Monitoring on an Audio Channel with Helix Native as Insert Effect, I still get the clean signal together with the processed Helix Native signal. Even if I deactivate all outputs in Helix Native, I still get the clean signal from the Guitar. Direct Monitoring in Cubase is deactivate (obviously as you can also hear the processed sound from Helix Native) and other Plugins (like Guitar Rig) don't have this problem. It seems that the clean sound is always routed inside Helix Native when Cubase Monitoring is activ. This problem appears only with Monitoring. When I play back a recorded track (monitoring function now deactivated as it wouldn't play back the sound), the signal is processed the normal way. Does anybody else have this problem? Thanks for your suggestions. Greetings, Jan
  24. Just tht I'd share my experience for those who might follow. Well first of all let me remind you, it is December 6 and Cyber Week Deals are only available from December 2 to December 8—so don’t delay! Last year I was hoping for a sale on Helix and didn't know my line 6 emails were going to spam so I missed it. Bagged myself a copy of HN this years tho. $279 marked down from 399 and includes a free copy of Cubase LE. Before I do the long story, I will give you the short answer - I am indeed impressed with the sound of the Helix native. I spend a lot of time focused on the Mesa Boogie Rectifier model and played till my fingers ached happily. Long story and updates will follow ... So I've been on a major tear trying to decide which direction to go musically. Been researching everything. About a year ago, I bought a Les Paul and a Spider V 30. I wanted to find out if I had a real guitar would I be able to get to the next level musically. I liked the idea of the Spider cause of all the built in effects. I worked with it slowly no rush over the past year. I was kinda scared of the Les Paul - too much power - or maybe scared I'd still suck even with that. After I got some more time on my hands I started working with it and noticed I couldn't really get a really good sound outta the spider. I tht a Les Paul shouldnt sound good - it shd sound incredible. Wasn't getting that. Started thinking I got a world class guitar and a junk amp. Maybe I read something wrong or whatever, but it seemed like when I first got the Spider I couldn't download from customtone. Anyways I did eventually figure that out. And after downloading a couple nice patches with a couple of tweaks I did get the spider sounding pretty good. However, I still think no modeling amp can match the sound of a tube.... To be continued ...
  25. I have recently purchased Helix Native in its 1.82 version and upgraded my Helix LT to 2.82. I was hoping to control Helix Native directly from my Helix LT, (switch Helix native presets from footswitches, use EXP pedal....) but i did not find any indication that this feature was existing. Can somebody tell me if this is possible ? or will it be possible soon ?
