  1. I have recently purchased Helix Native in its 1.82 version and upgraded my Helix LT to 2.82. I was hoping to control Helix Native directly from my Helix LT, (switch Helix native presets from footswitches, use EXP pedal....) but i did not find any indication that this feature was existing. Can somebody tell me if this is possible ? or will it be possible soon ?
  2. Update I resolved the issue, which was due to a faulty battery on the Macbook Pro which didn’t hold any charge, once replaced, Helix Native runs smoothly. -------------------- Cubase At 1024 sample buffer size and one instance of the plugin, the CPU usage is at about 80% and audio drops out slightly. Two instances, or other plugins, lead to serious dropouts. Reaper At 1024 buffer size and one instance of the plugin, the CPU at about 30 % load and it works unless I do something CPU intensive. Two instances makes use of 60% and the audio only plays well for a few seconds before starting to drop out. Versions Helix Native 1.81 demo, Cubase Pro 10.0.40, Reaper 5.983/64, Mac OS 10.14.6 (8GB RAM), RME Fireface 400 via thunderbolt adapter with firmware version 3.36 and Totalmix 1.60. My computer. Do I have anything unusual taking up CPU?
  3. I'm interested in how the HX Stomp works with the Helix Native plugin. I know there are some limits to rig chain length in Stomp, but no limits in Native. Can I export Native patches to HX Stomp, and keep the full rig complexity?
  4. I have been trying out HelixNative demo - and I like it - I have been using Line6 Gear since the POD first came out and find it's great for live - and recording I have noticed if I own software I get a discount - nice ... And if I own Helix hardware I get a huge discount ... But If I buy Helix Native - without owning Helix Hardware - could I get a similar discount when I buy hardware ... Just doing a load of recording which will have to be taken live - and so I will need to recreate recorded sounds live - which either means using a Mainstage type setup - or getting Helix Hardware ... Anyone else thinking this ? Oh - and thinking that with Helix - I could get rid of a whole load of old Line 6 gear to finance Helix M
  5. Hi, fellow Helixoids! I've just released 13 new Helix sound sets, available at the Helix Marketplace. I've taken an unusual approach: While we all know that Helix is great at mimicking classic analog gear, I've been exploring Helix as the unique and powerful instrument it is, with an emphasis on startling new tones that could only have been created in Helix. I think these sounds will appeal to restlessly creative players in search of new tones and textures. (Admittedly, they're probably not suitable for REO Speedwagon cover bands.) Each board sell for $13 and has its own demo video at the above link. There's also a combo back offering all 13 sets at a 40% discount. Its demo video, which provides a taste of all 13 products, is a good starting point if you're curious. Thanks for listening! :)
  6. Hi, I'm a new guy here at Line6 forum I was considering to buy an HX Stomp for my home-studio only for recording purposes (no gigging or rehearsal), but I discovered that it can run up to 6 blocks. Considering that 2 block will be ever occupied by Amp and IR, 4 blocks remain. Overdrive/Distortion, modulation, delay, maybe a rotary effect as a second modulation... This could be my effects chain, but I couldn't add a simple EQ, or a compressor, nor a reverb. This could be frustratring sometimes. So I wondered if the Helix Native plugin could be a better option. What is the maximum number of blocks on Helix Native? I don't need fancy effects like synth, envelope filter or pitch wah. Comp, overdrive/dist/fuzz, modulation, delay, reverb, rotary (sometimes), EQ, amp, cab (IR). This is all I need. Do you think that the Helix Native can run this effects chain into my USB audio interface? Does the plugin have a DSP limit, similarly to physical counterparts (Helix, Helix LT, HX Stomp)? Thanks to all
  7. I just got an HX Stomp, and I want to take advantage of using the Helix Native live through using my Stomp as an audio interface. Has anybody tried the minimum specs the Helix Native can run? Has anyone tried using those small PC sticks, NUC PCs for DAW, vst, and live use especially Helix Native? How was the experience? Or should I just stick with a laptop, say a 2012 Macbook Pro which can be bought refurbished for $200?
  8. Hello. I was wondering if Helix Native would work in a mini PC that Im interested in. I plan to build a mobile rig using a mini Pc, a MIDI controller and a Lexicon Alpha (not the best but is what I have). The doubt comes with the characteristics of the microprocessor in the MIni PC, this is a Gigabyte Brix with a Celeron J3455 wich base frequency is 1.5 Ghz but the manufacturer says that works up 2,3 Ghz. As Native requirements says that need from 2 Ghz dual core, I started to think about that 1,5 Ghz base frequency. Wich is the number that I have to pay attention? 1,5 Ghz base freq or the "up to 2,3 Ghz? Thanks ...
  9. Hi there folks. I have had an HD 500 and have recently purchased an HXFX for use with my amp. I also recently purchased Helix Native for recording on my mac. There are not all that many patches for HXFX on customtone, but heaps for Helix etc. I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to download cutomtone patches iinto Helix native? CANt seem to work out a way to do it. Cheers!
  10. I was excited to try the Helix Native, as my HD500X switches are starting to fail, so I was hoping I could just go with a software plug in. I can get it to work in MainStage but then it stops working. If I restart it will work again. Then I try to get it configured to work in Logic Pro and so far nothing will allow the source input to show up in the Helix Native interface. I don't think I would spend hundreds of dollars if I can't get the demo to play. It's a shame because when I can get it working it sounds very compelling! My set up; MacBook Pro Mac OS Mojave Logic Pro 10.4.4 MainStage 3.4.2 Universal Audio Thunderbolt Interface
  11. Good morning to the whole community. I am a happy owner of HX Stomp that I use with satisfaction as a pedal unit. Recently I entered the world of digital recording with Pro Tools HD 12 to self-produce (or at least, to try) some of my songs. Last night I tried to download the demo version of Helix Native to test it on my DAW and decide whether to buy it or not. The program recognizes it, I can load a stereo audio track and open Helix Native but what I hear is just a dry signal with no effect :( I state that I'm pretty ignorant of the audio recording so I'm probably doing something wrong. My hardware / software: - Pro Tools HD 12 64bit; - Windows 10 64 bit; - Helix Native Trial; - Focusrite 2i2 2nd; What I do is just connect my guitar to the first input of the sound card (INST) and play. Do you have any advice? What am I doing wrong? Is there any particular setting? Thank you! P.S: HX Stomp works perfectly (also as an audio interface) but Helix Native would be easier. P.P.S: sorry for my english :)
  12. Hello, I’m need to the helix and I’m struggling a bit. I’ve upgrade from an amplifi to the helix and I really liked how I could edit tones on my iPad. So naturally when I purchased the helix, I wanted similar functionality and purchased the helix native as a plugin in Cubase 10 since I was given a free copy. When I launched Cubase 10, create a track and add helix native, I select d a factory tone, but it doesn’t sync with the helix peddle. Am am I out of luck or is there a way to use both the helix and helix native together beyond syncing patches?
  13. I'm using Helix Native through Presonus Studio One and Reaper and I'm wondering is there a way to key-bind snapshot changes to a keyboard so it's more convenient to use while playing live. I'm not interested in automation, etc, just simple click and change the snapshot functionality. I don't have any MIDI devices available except from virtual midi keyboard in Reaper or QWERTY keyboard plugin in Studio One. I'm a total newbie in a MIDI world, btw. Thanks
  14. Hello, I've bought an hx stomp pedal and i've discover at the same time Helix native which is very fun and cool ! There are some good prices for Helix native when you buy Helix pedalboard but when you buy an HX stomp pedal you have to pay full price which is very high ... Am i missing something ? BR, Laurent
  15. Apple's new OS Mojave 10.14, has implemented a new security feature that can block input signals if not allowed access. Once a user has launched a DAW or stand alone plugin for the first time after the Mojave update, they will prompted to "allow mic access." If mic access is denied, user will not be able to receive an input via the specified software. To manually approve your software navigate to: System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Privacy > Microphone From this menu, user will be granted the ability to approve any software that was previously denied.
  16. Hi, i found a picture of Petruccis preset for axe-fx (see attached file). Now, i have the following questions: How to achieve a similar signal chain in Helix native? What effects does he use? What could be the settings? I hope someone could help me. Thank you and best regards, alemas
  17. I have an LT why do I have to pay over 300 dollars for Native. Am I the only who's calling BS on this ? Hell I'd do 199 but 299 is stupid. Wtf
  18. Hi everybody, I have a Helix and since a couple of days also the Native version. But I can not get the sounds on Native that I get from the Floorversion. It sounds thin and fizzy, especially the distorted patches. Doesn't feel ok at all. I am certainly doing something wrong. I guess it has something to do with the input levels but I think I did everything right. I adjusted the audio interface to max but avoid clipping and the levels on Native are set to normal. On the Mac I can not change volume. It is disables because of the audio interface.Weird. Any idea? I can't believe that Native sounds so bad.
  19. Anyone else have this issue. I paste / write my password, click sign in, and it automatically changes to something else??!?!?! Video of the issue - https://streamable.com/q0a10 Can't open a support ticket as there's no Helix Native option Pretty frustrating!! M.
  20. I have recently updated all my Reaper project to work with Helix Native. First of all, great software, hands down. Makes my life so much easier, being able to tweak the hell out of my mix in a non-destructive way. Made Helix the platform of my choice for live and studio. I found two issues related to clock synchronisation and I am wondering if anyone else experienced them: When opening existing project, the DAW tempo is ignored and instead, the per preset tempo value is used. A workaround is to manually reset the synchronisation, however doing so on 10+ instances every time I open a new project is a somewhat dreadful task. Screencast here. Tremolo is not synchronised across multiple instances. That makes it useless for dubbed tracks. I suspect this is related to the above, i.e. effects do not properly sync up to DAW upon a playback. Screencast here. I have not tried other DAWs, however given that no other plugin I use has synchronisation issues (including the Helix Rack itself I own), I suspect is a Native bug. Any feedback would be appreciated.
  21. OK I'm a little late in the gamne perhaps but as a newly downloaded, never opened Helix Native owner.. is there anything I should know or be aware of or what tips would you offer in advance? Thanks! ~jR
  22. Hey, Helixers (Helixites?)! Earlier today, I received an e-mail from Line 6 Promotions advertising "30% Off All Line 6 Software and Model Packs". I was happy to purchase Helix Native (for Helix owners) for $70 + tax. I definitely would have bought it eventually, but this discount sweetened the deal. :D You can access the Line 6 Software site at http://shop.line6.com/software. The code to use at checkout is "CYBER30". You can find the PDF ad here: http://line6.com/data/6/0a020a3ee2fd5a1347368d310/application/pdf As far as I know, this will work on the full Helix Native (for non-Helix owners and for Helix LT owners), as well. I hope this helps make your holidays sound even better!
  23. [i originally posted this in the Helix section of the forum, but I'm reposting it incase anyone is interested and hasn't seen it yet] http://line6.com/support/topic/30632-line-6-30-off-software-sale-helix-native-for-70-for-helix-owners-ends-dec-3rd-2017
  24. Hi there, Wondering if is possible to use snapshots feature we have in Helix patches (.hlx) with Native version. I have both versions (Helix floor and Native) but I couldn't find how to change snapshots when using Native version. I'm using Helix Native with Logic Pro X on Mac. Thanks a lot! Andre
  25. I think the topic says it all. If I purchase a used Helix can I still get the discounted Native price ($99.00)? thanks, -mark
