So I'm in my HXEdit, I'm logged into everything I need to be, I've purchased my preset+IR, it's been downloaded and activated but I keep getting the following message whenever I import either the preset or IR. "HX Edit was unable to import this IR because the required license was not found. The following product packs are available for purchase from Helix Marketplace: * 64670" As far as I can tell I'm doing everything I should be but is there something I'm missing? Also I'm using the HelixLT and it's fully updated. And the preset in question is the Bill Kelliher Live Rig+IR pack and is compatible with my gear. Please, let me know if you have any ideas on how to fix this!

Okay, so I am fairly new to using my Helix Rack, I got it back in January. I updated my Helix Rack to 2.90 the other day and I have been having constant problems that do not seem to be getting resolved... if anything they are getting worse. I use my Helix as part of my guitar rig, using the 4CM to hook up the Helix to my amp, and then the helix is MIDI controlling the amp as well. I have an external noise gate that my guitar goes into first before the Helix if that helps too. Before updating to 2.90, everything worked perfectly, I never had a hiccup. Ever since I updated to 2.90, my Helix has been freezing on me and is not recognizing an input, which then disables the built-in tuner. I have tried unplugging everything and plugging it back in, I did a hard-boot and mass reset, but nothing is working. All I have been doing is shutting the Helix on and off about 10 times before it starts to actually work and I am SICK of it. Does anyone have any idea on what I should do???

I've bought the line 6 helix LT second hand. I think its not the original power cable, instead they gave me a 10A 250V power cable, will it be healthy for the helix? or should I search for another power cable that's just 240V?? Because the helix LT Power Requierements are from 100-240V

Is it possible to transpose/downtune in Helix? Kind of like in the case of Digitech Drop.

This is my elaboration on Round Trip Latency of Helix hardware used as audio interface based on research on closed fb group https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10156514192780269&set=pcb.1077888115728194&type=3&theater&ifg=1 This topic is hardly relevant if you are monitoring direct. Helix hardware latency is 1,8ms from AD/DSP/DA (measured for one DSP Path), no matter what buffer or sampling frequency you pick. If you use another interface for monitoring/recording it is not relevant neither. It is 2,70 firmware time. OSX - you have a choice of two drivers: 1. Multi sampling rate Core Audio driver. You get the lowest latency of 15ms using 32 samples buffer but this seems not to be stable (tested on 8th gen i7) . Safer buffers of 64, 128 samples are at 20ms range. 2. Class Compliant 48kHz driver at 64 samples buffer gives 8ms RTL. EDIT: I do not know if 8ms RTL is REPORTED by the driver or it can be REAL RTL. Windows - you have a choice of two drivers: 1. Supplied ASIO driver. Here are my figures for Round Trip Latencies: 21ms on "Small" 128 samples buffer@48kHz 17ms on "Extra Small" 64 samples buffer@48kHz 15ms on "Small" 128 samples buffer@96kHz 10ms on "Extra Small" 64 samples buffer@96kHz - but this setting is unusable because of artifacts. Bad news for virtual instruments players are 3/4 of RTL is on the output side. 2. ASIO4ALL driver - it is rather overlay for WDM driver, not compatible with Pro Tools. Round Trip Latencies are: 5ms at 128 samples buffer@48kHz 3ms at 64 samples buffer@48kHz 3ms at 128 samples buffer@96kHz Good news or virtual instruments players are buffers are 50/50 input/output. EDIT: I have proven that they are in fact REPORTED RTLs. They are fake numbers! I made my Windows tests using using Reaper (64bit), desktop Windows 10 PC with 3th gen i5 CPU, 16GB RAM. Reaper session was loaded with 5 Hx Native instances. CPU usage was monitored with Windows Task Manager and for the same 128 buffers on both drivers was at 30%. 7ms pictured vs mine 5ms is because I switched off additional 32 samples buffers used for latency compensation in ASIO4ALL (for aggregating devices?) Hi, this could be considered as a question more based towards the logic community but I'm sure someone here will know the answer! (I'm very much a logic noob) I've had my helix about 2 months now and have established a setup that I quite like. I currently use my helix with my Orange Tiny Terror using a basic setup. I've created a patch on my helix that sounds great, however, when I use this same patch plugged into my MacBook via USB into Logic, I get a very different sound. I have downloaded the relevant driver and the helix registers when plugged in to my laptop. When recording I can hear my guitar tone output from my amp which sounds great, however when playing back on logic the audio sounds really quite poor. Logic has added its own amp, pedalboard, compressor and EQ which I turned off as I only want to use the helix sound, but this seemed to make it worse. In general it sounds very fuzzy and like there is a heavy low pass filter in the mix. I've tried adjusting my tone while running logic but this makes no difference whatsoever, even when I turn the pre-amps channel volume all the way down etc. I don't have proper studio monitors, I'm using a set of bose companions. I'm having two issues. One is that the volume/sustain seems to roll down and cut itself out, not a natural sustain happening. Sounds forcibly rolled down to no volume. The second issue is some snapshots, particularly my lead tone is starting a very low volume and ramping up to where it should be. Even while on the snapshot if I am not consistently playing something it will reduce its volume and ramp up again as I start playing.

Hi, I'm in doubt of buying Helix Native. I used the trial version for a week now and I love the sounds. I only just can't seem to get rid of a high noise level in hi-gain sounds. I already searched this forum and watched youtube video's for help on this topic. I have made a recording with a comparisation of my Helix Floor board and the Native plug-in. I made sure that the settings in both Native and Helix Floor are the same. In the recording I used the signal: input > Scream 808 > Archetype Lead The recording is made in Cubase, via a Steinberg CI2 with Hi-Z and real low input gain. In Helix Native the input meter stays under -12 dB. In the recording you hear: 0:00 - 0:17 > Helix Native 0:18 - 0:34 > Helix Floor 0:34 - 0:35 > Helix Native background noise without playing 0:36 - 0:37 > Helix Floor background noise without playing I'm might still do something wrong, it doesn't seem normal Helix Native gives so much background noise compared to the Floorboard. I still have 6 days of Trial version left. Hopefully any of you guys can help me with the noise-problem so I get convinced in buying a copy of Native. Test Native vs Helix Floor.mp3

Hello! I have a helix and a powercab 112+ i am using a variax shuriken I have a few impulse response (made for helix from ML Sound Lab) my chain setup on helix is simple. Variax input w/noise gate - at about 45 -> distortion (note: tried multiple kinds with a few different settings to try to eliminate issue) -> impulse (tried 1024 & 2048, mono) -> digital out Physically - Variax -> Variax Cable -> Helix -> Link Cable -> Powercab+ 112 Powercab is set to FLAT (issue still occurs even with other cabs set) everything sounds muddy, first off... like real low, all in the bass.... but then if i start hitting chords... all i can hear is a raw input sound, just playing on top of everything and completely stomping out the distortion and everything else... really confusing. Hoping someone here has an idea what might be going on. If i play a single note... its muddy, like real muddy, almost as if someone is playing in the other room.... as soon as i fast strum power chords.... its like someone is mixing a raw input right on top of everything.... Please let me know if you can help!

HX is saving in all banks Hello, I make a preset and when saved, it saves in all banks I've tried it through HX edit, it's the same way! can anybody help me?

Hi all, I downloaded a RATM preset from CustomTone that includes a Variax drop-D tuning. When I load the preset, it does not drop the tuning, and I can't change any tuning via the Helix or HX Edit. I have plenty of other presets with alternate tuning; this is the only one that will not change the tuning. The Variax setting is "Preset" not "Global", just like all my presets. I'm probably missing something obvious but can't see it. Any ideas out there?

I bought an Ownhammer IR pack from the line 6 market. I have dowloaded th HIR files and imported them into helix edit 2.82 however I cannot drag them into a block! Its infuriating! If anyone could shed some light on this I would appreciate it! The IR's have a pick symbol next to them in the HX edit window, having done a bit of research it's just to show that they are a premium IR? thanks Ross

Hey, Looking for a little guidance with this one.. So I'm in the process of getting a super-strat made for me (Warmoth body, Charvel neck, German Floyd, Bare Knuckle etc etc), however, it will be a single pickup guitar, which will obviously just be the bridge pickup, which is a Bare Knuckle Juggernaut. Is there a way I can alter a few settings on my Helix so that I can make my bridge pickup sound more like my neck pickup, or a blended sound of both bridge and neck pickup?? I presume it'll be in the amp block.. bumping up the bass/mids and possibly reducing the treble..? Any other hints or tips on how to achieve this? NOTE, I understand that it probably can't really be done, but if I can get close to it, I'll be happy... if this is possible.. Also, FWIW, I use my Helix floor with a valve power amp and FRFR.. I'm using a Eventide H9 with my Helix. I have a setup where I'm using command center to assign different H9 presets to four of the lower switches for different snapshots. Is there a way to have the labels change by snapshot too? Or at least have the LED color change? /B

Hi All,trol I was wondering how MIDI in Helix can be used to control things like youtube as shown below - IF you see this vide (from 25.00 minutes to 27:00 minutes), you will realise what i am talking about. My ask is - if this is possible, then just using Helix footswitches (and without having to take hands off the guitar) I can play some videos in youtube in the LAPTOP (not talking about iPad/phone etc) and can replay again and again or slow down a specific area in the video while working out some guitar pieces/solos. Dont you guys feel this would be so amazing??? I am not sure in the video, if any special device (midi device) was connected between helix and laptop, but if helix can be directly connected to a laptop using usb and this thing can be achieved, then i feel it would be tremendously helpful. Any suggestion/thought/comment would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi all, A guitarist friend has asked me if he can borrow my helix for an outdoors gig. I am a bit worried if it can handle the cold. What do you guys think? Normally I would say no, but the guy has borrowed me his amp a few times. Then again he doesn't want to use his amp due to the cold temperature... Weather forecast for that day (celcius): What do you guys think?

I recently got the free trial of helix native to see if the helix was for me. I've been looking at it for a long time. Now that I have it, all my tones are muddy. When I record, the notes sound like one long jumbled and distorted mess. I record through a Scarlett 2i2 with the input gain super low because that helps. My question is, how would I fix this? Is it the Scarlett's gain that's the problem? Would the helix floor or rack have the same issues recording through that input as opposed to recording through a separate interface? Thanks

Hi Helixers, Today suddenly with the Helix the sound stopped while recording. i Did nothing unusual, it was usb plugged with Logic Pro , I didn’t even touch it or move it . to narrow the possibilities, I checked the guitar and the cable in another amp and everything’s fine . It was the firmware 2.54 I updated it to 2.81 , and still nothing not even a signal on the tuner! does anyone had this issue before and solved it ? Musically yours
