  1. Hi First time poster here. I have searched, but couldn’t find the answer to my query. I currently have a Helix Floor and and also bought Helix Native at the discounted price - £99 here in the UK. What I would like to do is sell the Helix Floor and buy an HX Stomp, but keep or transfer my copy of Native. I would like to deregister the Helix so that the buyer can qualify for the Native discount, but keep the licence for Native I already have to go with the new HX Stomp Is this possible? Thanks
  2. So there is some confusion for me regarding the outputs on the stomp. Mostly due to this video: Like others, I am currently running my stomp outputs using a couple of diy TRS -> XLR connectors and have had great success. I have seen reports of people experiencing ground noise when using their stomp, which I believe could be solved by placing a latching switch (ground lift) on the ground wire of my DIY TRS -> XLR connectors. Which leaves me wondering: are there any advantages you gain by using a direct box with the stomp outside of having a ground lift switch?
  3. Hi, I use a HX Stomp for several months for professional use and I really like it. I built a external footswitch to change presets (FS4-5) and I'm using the HX Stomp in Snapshot Mode, that's great ! But... My problem : when I play in live conditions, I'm not that precise and I often step on 2 footswitches instead of the right one, so it open the bank of presets, which is really (really!) not confortable before a solo!... My question : is there a way to disable that function? I mean, keeping the control of snapshots with the footswitches but nothing else. I can't find anything in the Global settings... If not, is there a way to submit this idea to Line 6, and hoping they include it in a next firmware? By creating a petition or something like that... :) Thanks for your help! PS : "be precise" is not an valid answer ;)
  4. Hi, just switched to a Macbook m1 Pro. HX Edit HX Stomp all fine. Issue I, I cannot change the sample rate. Is fixed in Audio Devices. All my cubase projects are pitched up now (nice speed boost for metal, though :-) ) I have installed Line 6 Helix Driver 1.5.0.dmg. But no change here. What do I missing. Thanks, Marco
  5. Hi all! About a year ago, I was using an MXR 10-band EQ in the FX loop of my amplifier and it sounded amazingly good. I noticed it was giving me some bad hiss though, so I switched it out for a Source Audio EQ2 about 6 months ago, which also sounded good. I wanted to add delay, reverb, and an amp modeler into the amp's FX loop along with the EQ, so I ultimately decided to sell the EQ2 and put an HX Stomp in the amp's FX loop to do all of this. Currently, this is how my HX Stomp functions and here is my signal chain: Guitar > front of amp effects > preamp > FX loop send > HX Stomp 10 band EQ > HX Stomp digital delay > FX loop return > power amp The problem is that upon switching out the EQ2 for the HX Stomp, when I set the Stomp's 10-band EQ parameters to what the previous EQ's were set at, I realized there was an extremely noticeable jump in some of the frequencies. The signal immediately sounded very nasally. Through messing with the frequencies, I realized there was a boost in frequency right around 1K Hz. To give an idea of how different the frequency hike is, 1K Hz on the old EQ was set at +2 dB (I run a little hotter for more gain in the FX loop). On the HX Stomp, I have to run this same frequency at -2.0 dB to achieve a comparable sound. However, running this frequency this low on the Stomp's EQ is causing some fidelity issues; coming out of speaker, anything around 1K Hz sounds like it coming out of an AM radio. You can imagine this is frustrating. Has anyone had this issue and/or does anyone have any thoughts, suggestions, or advice on how to fix this? Thanks in advance.
  6. Help with Midi question please. I'm looking for a Midi Solution to assigning my Midi Controller to emulate FS4 / FS5 for preset switching and scrolling without using the CC52/53 emulate change controls. I have a Mission expression pedal plugged into EXP 1/2 and this uses FS5 to switch between EXP1 and 2. I am looking for different control change or method to handle what FS4 / FS5 does from my MC6 Midi Controller and not use CC52/53. I think it can be done since I had a Jet HX 3.0 controller that had this preprogrammed and allowed me to use the expression pedal as mentioned above. I do not know how they programmed it however... Thanks.
  7. Hi Guys, I have my HX stomp in the effects loop of a Simplifier Deluxe. With help frm this forum and TGP, I’ve got a ‘parallel amp’ set up w stereo fx frm the stomp. It’s set up in 7CM and the Simplifier DLX XLR outs go to the PA. I should have a pretty good sound going here, yes I now have minimal latency and better response/feel (which was a big goal) HOWEVER when I engage any gain, there’s that awful fizzy sound that almost sounds like a digital clipping thing. Like frequencies are clashing? I’ve APPLIED LOW & HIGH CUTS and though that’s improved the tone, I’m still getting these digital ‘overtones’ esp on the higher strings. Am not sure whether it’s something I’ve done or haven’t (!) or it’s just a reality of ‘analog’ modelling. Perhaps the Simplifier and the HX just don’t react well together in this set up? Here’s my signal chain, perhaps one of you clever people can see something I can’t! Guitar - HX stomp mono in. HX send to DLX input left - TRS cable. DLX send to HX L & R returns - Y cable DLX returns L & R to HX L & R outputs. Other settings - HX preset has a stereo FX loop block with all time based FX after, any overdrives before. FX loop level is at 50-60%. Send level is pushed slightly to help with volume and gives the guitar some ‘body’ (otherwise it sounds like I’m plugged in to the home stereo) I’ve BYPASSED the Simplifier DLX preamp section, using the amps in the HX which gives much more versatility. (Using the CAB SIM of the DLX…Not ideal but can’t do it the other way around) This set up DOES take my analog pedals much better than the HX stomp by itself, which is another reason I went for the Simplifier. However the fizz still occurs with my Wampler Plexi Drive and Bogner Burnley. AAAAHHH. Is it the FX loops of both these devices can’t quite take the heat? Or is it the 7CM thing, as much as stereo is a great idea perhaps I need to go back to mono. Have spent a month on this set up and beyond frustrated. I’ve learned SO much but with a gig in 3 days it’s not there yet and I’m halfway between Simplifier remorse and WTF am I doing wrong?!!!! Any help or thoughts would be very much appreciated! :)
  8. Hi there, since a few months now, I'm using my HX stomp and I love it. Yet, I'm still unsure in what speaker I should plug my new baby in. I have a Spider Jam which doesn't have any FX loop so it's a no as it is hard to have a neutral sound on this. And I have my drums amp (a Roland PM-10), which is so far the amp I'm using through the line input :-) I play mostly at home, and I'd like to have the best sound of my pedal at home, and since it has built-in amp & cabinet simulations, my understanding is that the most neutral speaker ("PA" ?) should be used, rather than a fancy amp with its own personality. I don't know how neutral my PM-10 can be, and I'm not familiar with the PA thing, so can you tell me what kind of speaker can I use to have something which doesn't level down my HX stomp ? I'd like to have get a speaker at a reasonable price, and which takes a reasonable amount of space :-) Many thanks
  9. Hi everyone. please tell me, if you faced such problem on Hx stomp. When you connect a Strymon Timeline delay to the FX Loop, the sound becomes muddy. (loss of high frequencies) Almost all the processing pedals, which I connect via FX Loop sound much worse than in input. The patches are qualitative. I don't understand what is the problem? Thanks in advance!
  10. Hi everyone! Hope you´re doing well! I play my guitar and sing in my band and therefore I have my effects pedals on the left side and switch them with my left foot. I want the HX Stomp to be on the left side of my other pedals, so I need to put the Tap/Tuner to FS1 in order to have the rest of the switches in a row (FS2, FS3, Wah, Fuzz etc...) Is there any way to customize the tap/tuner to be on FS1 instead of FS3? Thanks a lot in advance!
  11. Brand new user here. Got my HX Stomp wired up Guitar to Inst 1 In on front panel, L.Mono out to audio interface. Works great with the DIR presets. Tried running HX Stomp L/mono Out to my Blues Jr and its super noisy. Tried several FX and a New empty Preset with same results. How should I trouble shoot? Thanks! Steve
  12. Hi guys. Really need some help with my Simplifier deluxe direct rig routing. I’ve got a HX stomp thru the FX loop using a stereo 7CM set up. I was under the impression I could use the 1/4 inch outputs to by pass the Simplifier cab sim so I can use IRs & cabs frm my HX stomp. Currently I’ve got these outputs connected to the HX stomp left and right returns. Seems the preamp frm the Simplifier is no longer working, even tho it says on the manual that disabling cab sims leaves the preamp - effects loop & reverb all operating. I’ve got the XLR outs to the PA. Tried using the 1/4 jack outs direct instead but no signal at all. Any help at all would be so appreciated! Thanks in advance :)
  13. I have a question about using HX stomp with katana 50 MKII's power amp in. Is plugging the stomp to the power amp in ideal? Can I use the HX preamps, amps, cabs and IRs? Are preamps only option with that power amp? Katana's speaker isn't a FRFR speaker so is that a problem. Should I consider selling the katana and buying a FRFR?
  14. Hi all, I would like to know if is possible to use 4 Cable Method & FX Loop at same time on the HX Stomp. Anyone have tried this? What do I need to do this? I always have to change my cables when I'm playing in different places, so I want to let the connections ready and just plug the cables, more specifically, I'll use 100% of time my pedals on the FX Loop (cuz I use it after a comp), and when I need to use the 4 Cable Method, I just want to plug the cables to and from the amp. Kind regards Gabriel

  16. Does anyone have thoughts on this ? I’m wiring up my new “hybrid” rig, but I’m stuck at the final stage. By looking at the attached digram can anyone tell me what source I should use to feed the 5050 power amp with? I’d like to send the DI outputs of the SYN-2 to FOH and have them contain the full signal chain. But that means the HX Stomp main outs have to get routed back to the SYN-2 somehow. Am I doing this backwards? Many thanks.

    HX Stomp Blocks

This is my first time posting. Im sure I am asking a redundant question. I searched and didnt see the answer so Im asking here. I want to pick up a stomp as a second unit and want to know if there is enough DSP to run two amp blocks each with its own ML Sounlab IR a delay on one amp and a reverb on another. The photo is a preset from my Helix LT that I use a lot. Can I do this with the stomp?
  18. Is it possible for me to control the snapshots on the Hx stomp via midi from the Hx effects? For example, If im on preset 1a snapshot 1 for both the stomp and FX, if i were to switch to snapshot 2 on the FX is there a way to get the HX Stomp to go to snapshot 2 as well with just the one click of the FX?
  19. One of my geek tests ... Same pedal, 72 different amps. https://youtu.be/IooCYtJADIg
  20. Hello everyone, I own a Pod Go and have been looking for presets to purchase and tweak to my liking. I've purchased many different presets, and really like them but I've also noticed that there are not many people selling presets for the Pod Go. Usually they are recreations of one of their Helix/HX patches adapted for the Pod Go. Lately, I've been watching YouTube videos of Helix and HX Stomp users making presets and giving their tips etc. On to my question... The Pod Go Edit software does NOT have the ability to open Helix/HX Stomp preset files, only Pod Go Edit files. Being that I don't have a Helix or HX Stomp is there a way I could purchase Helix/HX presets and view the amp/cab and other pedal settings? This way I can recreate them on the Pod Go. I'm not looking for freebies, but I just need to see the numbers to recreate them on my Pod Go. Is there software that might allow me to view the preset settings of the Helix/HX Stomp files? Thanks in advance for help with an odd request!
  21. Hi, I would really appreciate someone's help on this! The issue is that I am running in parallel mode and the EQ on the parallel channel is affecting the entire sound. Here are the specifics: On the parallel channel I am running both the "Simple Pitch" and then the EQ "Low and High Cut" . I need to EQ the "Simple Pitch" because it is too bright for my purposes so I want to reduce the high end frequencies of only the "Simple Pitch" sound, which is on the parallel channel. The problem is that the EQ "Low and High Cut" is definitely affecting the entire sound. It should only affect the sound of whatever is on the parallel channel. Please let me know what I am doing wrong. Thanks so much, ric
  22. In order to save my three footswitches for my three snapshots I am looking for a solution to access the stomp tuner. I want to avoid having to use additional foot switches. My "Forscore" App is able to send MIDI commands. Is there a way to access the HX Stomp tuner via MIDI? I could not find any clues in the manual.
  23. Hello. I've got a HX Stomp with a Mission Engineering EP1-L6 that I mainly use as Wah. When I record something I tend to want to save the raw guitar sound for reamping later. Is it possible to have the pedal transmitting midi CC when I use the wah so I can record the MIDI data in Logic Pro X? Is so I could then elect to edit the data, even change wah type when I reamp later. Thanks
  24. How about folks, I am very interested in getting an HX Stomp, I use the HX Effects and it is a blast. Currently I use a MOOER Preamp Live in a 4CM configuration in my amplifier, I use this configuration since I exchange the emulation of the mooer's amps with that of my real amplifier, it is an interesting function that is removed by the mooer since it allows me in some songs to use the effects of my real amplifier and in others use only the power stage of my amplifier and use the emulation of mooer amps changing preset, in their documentation they explain it as two FX Loop modes one called A / B and the other serial, when i use A / B mode emulation is disabled and real amp is on. Page 16 https://v1.cecdn.yun300.cn/fsite_1804040320%2FPreamp live_Manual_EN1552881468849.pdf I would like to know if there is a way or method that the helix stomp achieves this since I did not see something mentioned in your manual, I do not know if someone knows how to do it or it is not possible.
  25. Hello, this kind of a complex statement but trying to build a YouTube preset. I have the footswitches running basic Play/Pause, Rewind, Fullscreen on snapshot one as momentary presses. Is it possible on snapshot 2 to have the footswitch configuration change to Drive, Fuzz, Chorus as toggles. I have tried editing it in the command center but the foot switches seem to be only one setting in snap shots. I'm using a Boss-MS3 to send MIDI commands to switch between snapshots. Just not able to get the footswitches to have different functions between snapshots.
