  1. I want the expression pedal to control the position parameter of a wah block going from 0-100% using the full range of the pedal. Instead of this the range is limited. I am using a Boss EV-30 which I connected by a stereo cable. I played with the minimum knob of the pedal and the settings of the HXstomp. Any idea?
  2. hello, ive been wondering if i could use the send / return which would allows me to control 1 mono pedal and 1 stereo ? In short from the hx stomp sends out a Y cable : 1 mono input pedals and return mono to the R loop 1 mono input pedals and return stereo to the L loop using a Y cable ( summing the stereo to mono? ) Will the stereo pedals type of configuration work? Im trying to control I overdrive pedal and the other one being delay ( stereo pingpong fx )
  3. Pessoal, certo? Pessoal, certo? Tenho um grande problema no meu hxstomp. Tenho um grande problema no meu hxstomp. 4. FIXED: I should have realised that the drop-down was a scrollable.... it was there all along. I just got a 2-button switch for use with the HX-Stomps FS4/5, and am wondering why I'm unable to assign Stomp4 or Stomp5 to these switches. I'm on 3.01. What am I doing wrong here? Nothing is assigned in ControlCenter AFAIK. Thanks in advance.
  5. Hallo, i have the following problem on which i didnt find any answer online yet. I run my HX Stomp with the 4cm into my Laney irt sls. The irt sls doesnt need a load box and has a DI out. Is it possible to use the 4cm for the effects before or in the fx loop AND having an ir after the amp into the pa? Thank you in advance for every answer. Cheers Feidias
  6. Hello guys, I just bought a hx-stomp and i am very excited to use it. What I'm trying is to connect hx stomp to Logic pro and use yamaha 10 thr as a speaker. The way I did connect yamaha 10 thr to computer is through usb cable, so not using aux input; and the guitar is connected hx stomp in L Mono In. With this configuration logic pro works, i can record etc.. without any problem. But I'm not sure this is the right or best approach; may be i should connect hx stomp to thr 10 or connect thr 10 to computer using aux input ? I'd appreciate any kind of opinion on that. Thanks
  7. HI! I have a great problem with HX Stomp. When I use it with my computer (I connect HX Stomp to computer via USB) for example to record a song or to make a video tutorial ecc... it disconnects all my devices... I use an iMac late 2013, when I connect my HX Stomp, in 3-4 minutes it disconnects my webcam, my mouse, my keyboard, my microphone and my audio interface.... all devices! I'm sure that is HXStomp because I've tried a lot of tests... changing cables, changing USB ports, changing MacOS, and this problem happen only when HX Stomp is connected. Please can you help me?
  8. Hi folks, I'm trying to plug my TC Harmonics G-TX pedal into my HX stomp. For those who don't know this pedal, it's a pedal meant to be used with a microphone, and which enhance your voice by adding 1 or 2 additional voices at different pitches. For this purpose, I removed every FX block from the chain of my preset to have the more neutral sound (as I discovered that enabling true bypass also disables USB output !) and while the sound is OK from the headphones (which are plugged in the HX stomp), it's awful once in GarageBand (basically, the harmony voices become like a weird cher-like auto-tune effect) I tried to play with the output settings (typically I tried to set "Line" instead of "Inst" everywhere I can) but same results : it's ok in head phones, not ok in the USB output result. Although the HX Stomp is meant to be used with a guitar/bass, I assume that as an audio interface it should be able to manage anything ? Any hint ? Thanks !
  9. I am totally new to modeling. I currently have a Marshall JCM 2000 TSL 100 head. I would like to use my own Marshall on the clean Channel and have flexibility to put HX Stomps post effects in the Marshall's loop. At the same time though I would like to be able to switch to a different heavier amp like a rectifier for the dirty tones bypassing my Marshall's preamp and still be able to use those delays/reverbs in the right spot when needed. I know how to wire the 4cm but I think I'm not building my path correctly on HX edit. Any help would be appreciated.
  10. Hi! So I just got the jackson audio broken arrow v2 and I been trying to control it via midi from the HX effects, i triple check my midi channel trying to see if anyone here has some experience with it thanks!
  11. Hello everyone, Since I updated my hx stomp to version 2.92, I cannot use IRs of any kind. When I select them to add them to my effects chain, it gives me the following error (attached image) The same thing happened to someone else? I already tried to reset, go back with the updates and with the 2.8 I have no problems. Of course, I appreciate your comment. Greetings from Argentina.
  12. Hello, im new to the hx stomp and recording guitar in digital world. My signal chain from guitar to my headphones/speakers is Guitar -> hx stomp L/mono output -> line 6 GX interface -> pc -> Mixer app in pc (Voicemeeter) -> headphones and speakers. (hx stomp output is set to "LINE") It sounds very similar when i plug it into a PA system and listening through headphones output. Now I am trying to use the USB asio output, but it sounds harsh and thin. Then i try to use the L/mono output but this time setting the output to "INST", it sounds the same to what i hear via usb. Is it possible to make usb output sounds like "LINE" output on L/mono? Or am i wrong in setting up asio? I appreciate to you if u spend your time to read this. *i use voicemeeter because GX interface has only one output port and i want to output signal to many channels inside pc.
  13. Hello: I have built a MIDI controller to have some extra buttons on my HX Stomp. I have assigned a button to change the settings of a Pitch Wham effect to simulate tunning change in the guitar, to avoid changing the real tunning on the guitar. The change works perfect, but I have a problem when I change Snapshot: I have Snapshot 1 configured as a clean tone, snapshot 2 as rhythm and snapshot as soloi. If I change the "tunning" of the Pitch Wham in the rhythm snapshot, when I change to the solo snapshot, the Pitch Wham configuration is the original one, not the one i've made with the MIDI controller. Obviously, I have the parameters of the Pitch Wham configured so that they change with the MIDI command, I hope I have explained myself well. Is there anything I can do to make the changes on the Pitch Wham parameters I modify via MIDI persistent? Thank you
  14. Hi guys, I have had a quick search on the forums but haven’t quite found the answer I was looking for. I am looking to get a new laptop in the near future and the main contender features only USB-C ports. I have seen you can get a USB-C hub that allows you to connect multiple USB 2.0 devices, does anyone have any experience with these and their Line6 devices? I have a HX Stomp, and older HD Bean that I would like to still use for recording and editing patches etc, but always heard that connecting via a USB hub was problematic. Thanks!
  15. First off I would like to say how difficult it was to navigate this website. I am by no means a newbie to forums and it probably took me 10 minutes to figure out how to post a question. With that being said, here I am. Here's the deal, I have an amp with an effects loop, a few pedals, and a studio setup with monitors and an audio interface (Scarlett 2i2). What I would like to do is use my amp with the 4 cable method AND have left and right output from everything (amp, pedals, helix) going into the front of my interface. I haven't been able to find any guide or resources on how to do so. At the very least I would like to know how to set up the helix with my workstation without having to reconnect my monitors to the helix as it is massively impractical. Also I am confused on how the edit software works when using 4 cable method, Do I need to go into every single preset and add the effect loops block? Is there some sort of master setting I can switch so I don't have to manually go through and set everything? This hardware and software seem like extremely powerful tools but there is a massive learning curve that is discouraging and frustrating, so I'm sure you all can understand my annoyance. Thanks in advance.
  16. HX is saving in all banks Hello, I make a preset and when saved, it saves in all banks I've tried it through HX edit, it's the same way! can anybody help me?
  17. I'm in the Marketplace. Are the Helix IR's useable/compatible with my HXStomp? Sincerely Mads A
  18. Hi, I just bought Peak FCB4N2 to use with my HX Stomp. I thought that I would be able to assign pedals to Peak's footswitches but I still can't find a way to do it. Right now I can only change presets. I've tried the learning function in bypass assign but it still doesn't registered to the FS. Is it Possible at all since Peak labeled it as midi switching product? I'm quite new to MIDI control stuff. Please excuse my english, it's not my native language.
  19. Hi trying to replicate a DD-3 stutter effect, as shown below. Any advice? I’ve found that the pedal seems to retain previous feedback when i cut it on, off, and on again, so while I might get a good start towards this sound the first time, it progressively turns to chaos as I try it more than once, due to the feedback from previous tries sticking around.
  20. Hello dear HX Stomp users, i've noticed in the HX Stomp manual that Line 6 is insisting on using their own power supply for the HX Stomp. But since it's supposed to be used with a pedalboard around other pedals, i was wondering if some of you are using your own power supply (from your pedalboard), and if so did you encounter any problems with that ? Have a nice day. Tefun.
  21. Hey guys, I'm new to the HELIX familly I did a research on YouTube and Google and I can't fin any information about this. I wish to use 2 block with IR (1024) in parallel. Any help on how to do so would be appreciated. My Goal : Is to mix 2 mic within the same preset. Example mix a 57 with a 121. How do you set it up ? (2 block using 1024 IR) How do you blend the 2 ? (mono input and output) (Using Split Y, (Pan left, right ) or Split Y A/B?) Cheers,
  22. hi recently i watched gear gods and fluff's video regarding IEM setup/all in one solution for the whole band on their rack for live use and it's inspiring to imitate such setup for ease of use and avoiding complications as much as possible. on gear gods' video about it, trey included the hx stomp as the core of their sound and he said that they only need less than 6 blocks as they are a metal band and doesn't need that much complexities as oppose to helix line in terms of tone shaping features. in terms of simple yet satisfying tones, i think the hx stomp is more than enough (unless you're really picky, you might as well get the big guns) but as with trey's setup, i just don't like the thought that it's built for the pedal board along with other pedals that has the same footprint(or not). so what if the line 6 makes a version of the hx stomp but in a rack mount configuration? since basically the hx stomp is at least meant to be in a pedal board, the "hx studio"(if they decided to call it with that name) should be used primarily in a studio as your dedicated guitar/bass audio interface/multi effects platform in a small package. imagine the helix rack on the size of maybe a scarlett 2i2 occupying 2U space and just half the width of it with the screen same as of the hx stomp, a couple of needed knobs and buttons on the front panel, extra buttons and swtiches if needed if they decide to add some features because it's a dedicated studio unit minus the three footswitches, an input jack and all of the needed inputs and outputs plus midi connectivity and lastly a jack for an optional 4 or 6 button footswitch. the reason for this idealistic babbling of mine is because i wanted the hx stomp to be in a rack format following trey's all in one setup for his band. what if there were 3 guitars and one bass? it will only take 4 units of rack space thus you'll have more for other things such as power conditioner, in ear mixer, splitter, etc. i mentioned that the unit is dedicated to the studio right since i already named it "hx studio" but what if someone wanted it to be used in a live situtation? of course being a reckless human, you'd do that if you can right? lol as for the market, maybe this unit can be a direct competitor to ik multimedia's axe i/o or audient's sono as dedicated guitar/bass audio interface if they will add some features like jfet circuitry or whatever they can think of so that they can maximize the unit's power for those applications. i'm thinking of almost the same price as theirs, around $500 maybe? what do you think about this idea? do you think this will be an addition to your gear? or just a big joke your music teacher will even cringe? do you think line 6 will consider this as a perfect addition to their products? or just a stupid disruptor for the Helix/HX line of modelers? cheers!
  23. Looking to see if anyone has used the HX stomp with no back line with a wireless guitar pack (shure or Line6) then with the fold back sent to IEMs. If anyone has any experience of this could you let me know, wanting this to be my new system set up!
  24. Hello! I’m a new HX Stomp user. 1 month of use. I’ve used only the effects on gigs but would like to broaden to using the amp models. I’m confused by a few things and would appreciate some help to get me on the right track: 1) Effects: Volumes seems to vary. Distortion and overdrives seem to be the toughest to balance. Any suggestions on correctly balancing levels? Should the master volume knob on the HX Stomp always be set to the max? 2) Amp & Cab models through a P.A.: I tried using an amp model & separate cab model through a P.A. in a well equipped Club and the FOH guy said the volume signal was loud but not loud enough. “A bit thin” in his words. I set my Input level to “Line” as tutorials explained. Am I suppose to set both Input and Output to “Line”? Thank you in advance for suggestions Oscargtr
  25. I was wondering if anyone else has been having issues with tap tempo not syncing on the HX Stomp. I have midi set up between A Boss DD500 delay and the Stomp. I am however unable to get the tap tempos to sync to the same tempo. I am using the DD500 to send the midi to the stomp. The stomp just does not seem to properly respond to the tempo that it is receiving. Has anyone else had this issue, or is there anything that can be done? Thank you!
