  1. I love helix native! I wish there would be an app version of it. Do you know where I can send this request to Line 6 team?
  2. Hi - I am currently running my HX stomp into a iPad Pro via usb, then into Bose S1 pro, and need some guidance. My tone sounds very thin, tinny, hollow, when the usb is plugged in. When plugging into my computer or no plug at all, it sounds a lot better. Has anyone else run into this issue? I’ve tried a lot of amps, and cabs (never the combo), and am struggling to get a more full and rich sound. Thankful for any help I can get!
  3. Hi! I have a problem with midi clock transmission via usb from the HX Stomp to iPad (i use AUM mixer app). AUM recognize HX Stomp as hardware interface but it seems that HX Stomp don't send any midi command via usb. I'm really frustrating because i would like to sync tempo via usb from XH Stomp to other plugin on AUM mixer (like delay or tremolo etc...). Can you please help me to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance
  4. Hello everyone, I want to connect my helix effects to the ipad pro. I tried to do it with a USB hub and an adapter but it didn’t work. I want to record my voice with a mic plugged into the helix effects and want to to connect it with loopy pro. (i do loopstation beatbox) I would appreciate any help.
  5. Does anybody know if the UX2 works on iPhone or iPad using a lightning-to-usb-adapter? Is the interface recognized? Can you record in GarageBand with it?
  6. Wouldn't it be wonderful if our HX Stomp had a dedicated professional, gig worthy, Plug & Play controller, where you don't have to program anything? What if it could also work with batteries, and... completely wireless? Better with a large touch screen as H.U.D? 7. I use my Ipad with the App OnSong for Note-sheets and also to change the Presets from the Helix Floor. When connected with the usb-cable and the camera-adapter from the ipad it works perfectly. The Helix receives the bpm from the App and the delay works. Then I wanted to get rid of the cable and found the wireless adapter from yamaha MD-BT01. Connection works and the presets also change - BUT the tap tempo is very irregular. Some information comes, but not nearly in time. And so the delay always skews the tone so i can't use this. Does anyone have an idea? thanks for your help!
  8. My old iPad (2!) really isn't up to handling modern apps like Amplfi's remote, let alone playing backing tracks from youtube etc. to play along to. I mean, it does ok, but it's so slow to respond and always loses connection with my FX100 etc... I have a Macbook Pro that I wondered about emulating the iOS app on (seeing as Line 6 won't ever be likely to bring out a Mac/Windows editor app for the Amplifi series that's now pushing 4+ years old...) and wondered whether anyone else had ever tried this and how to get it working if so? I know Macs can emulate iOS environments for developing/testing iPhone/iPad apps etc so hoping I might be able to use the Amplifi FX100 Remote app as if it's on an iOS device....??
  9. I’ve just down loaded the new iOS update for iPad and sonic port is working. Have to find a new doorstop now.
  10. Hi community, I can’t seem to use my POD UX 1 driver with the iPad Pro. Cant download any dmg files. any suggestions?
  11. How to turn a modest MIDI device on a monster controller for your HX STOMP!! https://gumroad.com/l/bcZWg Maybe the iCon G-Board has ever called your attention as a possible partner for your HX STOMP. It's small, light, and has those typical guitar switches ... Oh no! It connects via USB and has no power connector, what a disappointment! You also can't store presets banks, and... don't even have a screen! But it can be powered through the Apple CCK USB 3 (also feeding the iPad), it is in a Class-Compliant device, it has eight beautiful LEDs on board, and the most important thing: it also receives MIDI! Therefore, we just need a brain for it, something like an iPad, the wonderful MIDI Designer Pro 2 app, a wireless MIDI interface, and spend several dozen hours to create a semi-decent MIDI template. Or you can spend a few bucks to have this one: https://gumroad.com/l/bcZWg The top row controls the presets, which you choose from your iPad by sliding your finger on the selectors. Only one of the four LEDs will remain active, both on the pedalboard and on your screen. You can also automatically save 8 banks of 4 presets (A-H), each of them identified with a funny icon in the upper right of the screen. The lower row contains the three Snapshot footswitches. Again, only the LED from the last selected FS will remain active. The button in the lower right corner of the pedalboard is something special: it works in momentary mode and can act as any of the HX Stomp footswitches, from one to five. There is a 5-position selector around this footswitch, whose buttons also function as momentary push-buttons, so you can also activate them from the screen. The large preset marker at the top center of the screen receives MIDI from the HX STOMP, as well as the looper buttons (remember that for the looper to work, it must be included in the effect chain) You will also find other usual controls such as the mode selector, the Tap Tempo button, tuner, bypass, etc. All this in a single-screen, colorful interface. No configuration is required by the user. Perhaps the easiest way in the world to use your HX STOMP. Seriously. So easy to use that even a child will want to do it. The requirements are: HX STOMP Apple iPad Apple CCK USB 3, cable and charger iCon G-Board (cable is provided) Yamaha MD-BT1 or Quicco M.1 (wireless MIDI-BT interface) MIDI Designer Pro 2 (IOS App) This MIDI Layout (Now available) We could consider that it is a form of semi-tethered connection, in the sense that we will connect the iPad and the pedal board to each other, and both to an AC connector through the USB3 CCK, on the one hand, and the data will travel wirelessly to the HX STOMP, which It can be a few meters away, sitting calmly on top of your amp, while your iPad faces the stage. Sit on your couch with your iPad and your G-Board, and enjoy your HX STOMP with this superb controller. It also works without the G-Board! (so you can use it right now, while ordering your G-Board at your nearest store) See you soon! Ed.
  12. Hi everyone! How can i charge de ipad while using the sonicport(1st version)? Thanks!!
  13. I am using FireHawk remote on a iPad Gen 6, ios 12.1.1 paired over bluetooth and can manage the firehawk and change its presets and setting etc... However when I play music through Firehawk remote or iPad's itune and choose Firehawk FX as my audio destination no audio comes out from my guitar AMP, I can send the audio to other bluetooth enable speakers just fine. (Electric guitar and AMP are working fine), is there a setting in the iPad or Firehawk remote app that I need to change? Or do I need to set something up on the Firehawk itself. The firehawk is connected to the AMP via 1/4 jack. The firehawk software version is 1.3.6 build 112 Thanks
  14. Hello everyone, I need send a USB MIDI tempo from iPad to Helix. How I configure a Helix to receiving the MIDI parameters? I searching about for this here, but I don't find it. Tks
  15. I have a POD HD500X and I am trying to work out how to link it to an iPad for use with the OnSong app. So ultimately the plan would be to have commands written into OnSong via the metadata that would change the bank/patch on the POD for each song as required. I am understanding there may also be an opportunity to use the POD to send commands back to OnSong such as scrolling up/down etc. (at the moment I use an AirTurn pedal via Bluetooth so I could get rid of this). For anyone kind enough to respond, I have only very basic understanding of MIDI and use an iPad 4 running iOS 10.3.2. I am guessing I need something that converts both MIDI in (patch change) and MIDI out (scrolling in OnSong) to Apple lightning? I am in Australia where the cost of some things can be a little high so I don't want to waste money (and time - things take a while to ship here...) and would like some advice on what accessories would be needed to make it work now and into the future. I understand only the Helix works via USB so this leaves me stuck with MIDI ports on the HD500X for now. Thanks for any advice/links etc.
  16. I'm using the helix lt to control Loop Community's "prime" application on an Ipad. I'm using the MIDI ports on the helix to do this. I'm wanting to add more stomp buttons to help me have more control. Is it possible to use something like this (https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/FSB106Ad1--bugera-fsb106a-6-button-footswitch-for-bugera-trirec) to connect with a TRS cable to the helix's EXP Pedal 2? I'm wanting to still be able to use the helix to control parameters in prime, but I'm also wanting more stomp options. So my first though was just to extend the helix with another pedal. Any thoughts or advice?
  17. Apple's policy is that if you acquire an app, free or not, the app should be available to download to any of your personal devices. However, as the app is updated, it's requirements may change and prevent fresh downloads on older devices. Example: If you attempt to download AMPLIFi Remote to an old device, and the minimum iOS version is 11 or above, you'll get an installation error: "This application requires iOS version 11 or later. You must update to iOS 11 in order to use this application." To get AMPLIFi Remote onto the older device, you'd have to first acquire the app via iTunes on a computer, or via the App Store on a device that is running the required iOS version, then download the app on the older device. Note that iPhone-only apps won't appear on an iPad, and vice versa. For our example, we'll use iTunes. Use the search box for the name of your application. Select the app in the search results. Click the Buy or Get button to acquire the app (you don't have to download it). Use your older iOS device and search for the exact app in the App Store or click on the Purchased icon in the lower navigation bar. When you locate the app, click the Install button. After you click Install, you'll see a popup indicating that there is an older version of the app available for download. Click Download to install the last compatible version.
  18. On my iPad the test tones in the upper right corner doesn't give the option to choose a riff. I have tested anything, even clicking positions out of the regular focus. On my iPhone everything works fine. Can someone please proof this behavior?
  19. Just picked up an Amplifi FX100 and trying to run the remote app (the whole reason I bought it) on my iPad 2, which is running the maximum iOS of 9.3.5, but the installer tells me it needs iOS 10?? It's just a simple interface, right? So how come it won't run on a slightly older OS from like only 2 years ago?? Am I missing something? I'll be kind of peeved if I've bought this Amplifi FX100 to use with my iPad only to find it can't run the remote software....?? Would an older version of the software work??
  20. Imagine if Line6 made an iPad/iPhone looper app along the lines of GroupTheLoop or Quantiloop (but better) that had the added USP of being able to communicate two-way with the HELIX - so that by going into a special "Looper App Mode" the HELIX scribble strips behaved like an improved version of the built-in looper- but in a way where the labels would synchronise ( using OSC etc ? ) with the iOS app. https://line6.ideascale.com/a/idea-v2/902705
  21. I am wondering if the Helix will route through MIDI commands from its hardware MIDI connectors over USB to an iPad? I already have the Helix hooked up to an iPad Mini 2 via USB (and the camera connection adapter), and using MIDI from Helix to control the iPad works great. However, I would like more footswitches. I would like to hook up an additional MIDI foot controller to the Helix's MIDI ports, and have those commands passed through the Helix over USB to the iPad to control various apps. Is this possible? Trying to see if this will work before I shell out the cash for a controller. Thanks!
  22. Hey, I connected Helix via USB+camera connection kit to my ipad and the Quantiloop (ver 2) looper app. When doing that, the buffer size parameter on quantiloop is stuck at buffer size 128 (not a problem to change to 256, 512, 1024 while not connected to helix). When I record a track in quantiloop like this, I can send the midi commands from helix to the app on the ipad without any problems, but I get the recorded sound back with clicks/pops... and I think it has to do with the buffer size... This is annoying, but except for that quantiloop looks like a cool app! (BTW - no problem when using Loopy HD in a similar way...)
  23. I've seen a lot of people mentioning to connect their ipad/iphone through the USB on their Helix to use Loopy, metronomes, etc. just curious how, and what you need, to actually set this up. Thanks in advanced!
  24. Since today, the instrument input on my sonic port has ceased to work. Headphone output still works, line input still work, i have not tested line output. My ipad was updated two days ago to IOs 10.1.1, i don't know if this is related. I have tried with another guitar, with another cable, but nothing work. Thank you for your help.
  25. I'm wanting to connect my Line 6 KB37 toneport to my iPad Air 2 so I can use the midi keyboard to control the keyboard sounds in garage band & use the line inputs. Has anyone got any help / experience / advice? I think I'm going to need to Apple camera connecting kit but not sure if this will do what I want it to. Help please!
