  1. I just realized there was a Workbench HD so I downloaded it, plugged my JTV-59 and tried uploading some tweaked patches but nothing... All I got is no sound at all and a mumble jumble of a name for all patches.... so I guess something is wrong... I had to re-install version 2.0 thru the Monkey, any idea what's going on?
  2. Just purchased a JVT- 69 and noticed when using the mag pickups the 5 way toggle switch works perfect but when I switch to the virtual instruments position 2 and 4 don't work right. In either position the instrument is intermittent. I have to hold the switch a little out of that location to get it to work and then when I let go, it goes back to the instrument on either side of that position even though it is still in position 2 or 4. I updated to the latest firmware and It seemed like it got worse. Has anyone else had this issue. It currently renders the virtual Side of the instrument almost unusable. I have not found anything on this issue other that one other guy made a video on YouTube and his was really bad (hence his cursing in the background).
  3. OK MIDI Gurus- riddle me this: I have been using MIDI since the early 90's and consider myself somewhat knowledgable in this area... this means the answer is simple because I sure as heck have overlooked something easy. :) FACTS: My band plays to a sequence during its entire performance. The sequence comes from a Yamaha Motif ES6, onboard 16-track sequencer- and it acts as the MASTER controller. The sequencer has several tracks dedicated to various MIDI 'instruments' and devices. These devices are, in order of channel assignment and physical hook-up with MIDI cables: 1. HD500 (MIDI ch 1)... changes patches, turns FX modules on/off 2. American DJ lighting mixer (MIDI ch 2) for spotlight (yes, I'm programming my lights... worked fine for the last 8 years and highly recommended) 3. Another American DJ lighting mixer (MIDI ch 3) for the LED pars around the stage. The LED lights ARE terminated. 4. TC Helicon Voiceworks Plus rack vocal processor (MIDI ch 4)... changes patches and FX 5. Roland TD-10 drum brain (MIDI ch 10).... changes patches. This set-up was working perfectly with a Podxt Live until I got the Pod HD500 and put it into the dasiy chain (yes, I selected the correct MIDI channel). Once I replaced the old pod with the newer HD500 my lighting sequence became altogether sporadic, working only at only 40% accuracy. When I put the HD500 at the end of the chain everything works fine. Go figure. So the question is: why do I have to put the Pod HD500 at the end of the chain in order for everything to work normally? Thanks for your input in advance. Chad

Work around is to instantiate POD Farm on separate tracks for alternating amp/effect setups or automate all parameters after a automating a model change. Loaded presets which include unauthorized cabinet models do not provide a graphic indication that the model is not active. The user must look at the drop down menu to know if the cabinet model is available or not. A user will never be able to create a preset (from scratch) which includes a model which is not owned. To avoid presets consisting unauthorized models, sort the preset browser's metadata by Own All Models. Not all automation parameters are available in Ableton Live's automation menu. Ableton Live is designed to display 128 automation parameters. POD Farm may not find previously installed GearBox presets by default. Clicking the refresh button in the "Presets" view will show the presets properly. If you create a preset with an amp and then delete that amp and perform a "Save As", you'll notice the deleted amp is called out in the "Save Tone As" window. This is just a GUI issue and your preset has been saved with no amp. Digital Performer does not process Pod Farm plug-in audio when bouncing. POD Farm subsequently freezes when the bounce is completed. The direct audio is bounced, but without the POD Farm effects. Digital Performer does not crash; you can still go to the inserts and remove the frozen POD Farm instance. Mac Exclusive: Clicking on a tone icon will automatically launch Gearbox if it is also installed on your computer. You need to manually associate tones on your Mac to open using POD Farm. Right click or CTRL click on the icon and select "Open With."

  6. 1. Input settings on User Bank 13 (A, B, C, D) are set incorrectly. Tone 1 is set to GTR 1 + Variax and Tone 2 is set to Mic 1. Because the XLR and 1/4" inputs on the X3 Pro on the same channel cannot be used at the same time, this will not work. The work around here is to re-save each patch in Bank 13 with the input setting on Tone 2 set to Mic 2. 2. Audio from the Tuner does not mute when connected digitally to audio interface. When using the tuner on the POD X3 Pro, the audio from the tuner does not mute on the S/PDIF and AES/EBU digital outputs even with Mute selected in the Tuner menu screen. 3. Tuner does not work with Guitar 2 Input. The tuner will only tune instruments that are plugged into the Guitar 1 and Variax inputs on the POD X3 Pro.
