  1. I installed the Spider V Remote amp plus the Line 6 updated (which did it's job, everything it's supposed to) and when I go to open the Spider V Remote software, it starts to open... and then just shuts down. I really need the software. I sold my other amp just to get the Line 6 Spider back specifically for the software and the presets you can download. Anyone had any ideas?
  2. I couldn't find any other topics about this so I figured I'd make a new post. Does anyone know if there's a way to control the Firehawk FX pedal board with a Windows laptop like the iOS app does? I love the iOS app but I'd prefer it if I could make the screen bigger like my laptop's screen.
  3. Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum and joined just after buying a jtv-69 used. It came with a battery and a charger, but no digital interface in the case. So my question is: what exactly is needed in order to connect it to my macbook and eventually to workbench hd? will a regular ethernet cable work? do I have to use the line6 cable? even on that cable, it's written that it's meant for digital connection to a PodXT and the like - so I'm not sure that this is meant to be used to connect the guitar to a computer. Maybe it's mentioned somewhere but I honestly could not find the complete info. is the "DVI" the cable itself? or some kind of a converter/adapter? assuming I have the line6 cable, does it connect to a usb or the ethernet port? how does this chain look exactly? If you could help a newbie I would be very grateful!
  4. I would like to connect my Firehawk to my Mac and edit like i would on the iPhone.
  5. Hey guys I want to know a few things so bear with me if things go over your head. 1) can I run this head with just one output jack connected to a modded spider 4x12 that i customized to work in just 16 ohm mono operation? I read somewhere that both jacks need to be connected or the amp can blow if you crank it like this...? 2) I've been cranking this baby with 2 identically modded 16 ohm mono spider cabs will I eventually cause my amp to blow? 3) should I return my cabs to their 4 ohm mono/8 ohm stereo op? Could I remod to remain 8 ohm stereo but with a 16 ohm mono op? I just wanted to use all speakers for the sake of having a full range (jsyk not to be mistaken as frfr) tone through all speakers rather than just two speakers per side. Have I made a mistake? 3) has anyone else just used the CD/Mp3 input for the sole use of the power amp section...? I'm running a laptop w/ cockos reaper and a external usb pre amp outing to the mp3 input jack in stereo with backing tracks + amp modeing into the rig to get my desired result. What are your thoughts on this? 4) line 6 really needs to consider adding more speaker configurations, Poweramp in, and speaker cab mute switch (why mute the speaker when using the di through the amp.. wtf) to their next spider series if they still plan on selling these series later on in the future. *more of an opinion*
  6. For anyone who may have had a similar issue, I was FINALLY able to get the amplifi to work on windows 10 after pulling my hair out and trolling the forums for answers. I'm not sure if this will work for anyone else as it was SUPER simple, but after simply adding the amplifi as a bluetooth device, it wouldn't work, gave me errors. I tried a bunch of stuff and then... I ended up getting it to work by simply going into the windows SOUND properties window and right-clicking on the "AMPLIFI_75_75 Stereo" device and choosing "Disable", then immediately right-clicking and choosing "Enable"...BOOM! Suddenly worked! Hope this helps someone else out there! -sd
  7. I have a nice laptop I7 quad, 8 gigs of ram and just put a 250 gig ssd drive in it. What is the most effecient setup for recording? Currently i have a 500 gig external drive hooked up but i think its only 5400 rpm. Should i just find a 7200 rpm ext drive and call it a day? I am using the line 6 hd500x as my sound device currently and have no need to record live drums at the moment.
  8. so i have this pod hd300 (not mine) and i want to play guitar through it. i connected the pod to my laptop via usb, i have the latest drivers available (installed them with line 6 monkey) and the problem is that i can't find the pod in the "inserts" menu on an audio track in cubase 5. i have selected the pod as my audio interface and i selected the pod as default driver in control panel in the "sounds" menu. it's strange because in cubase i can see that there is input and output when i play guitar but i can't hear anything from the pod.
  9. Hey Guys, I'm considering buying a PODHD for live purposes. Im a Bassist (playing a BassPOD XT atm) but i have a Laptop on stage too, so i have to bring an Audio Interface with me too. So i ask my self if it's possible to have the POD HD output my bass signal through one output to my bass amp and the "dry" laptop signal connected via usb to the PA. signal 1: bass guitar -> podhd -> bass amp signal 2: laptop -> usb -> podhd -> PA I looked it up in the manual and the forums but couldn't find a definitive answer. If somone could help me I'd really appreciate it because it would save me from carrying lots of cables and equipment to the stage. thx!
  10. Can ayone reccomend a moderately priced laptop that works with HD500? I have a Dell Latatitude with Windows 7 and an Acer with Windows 7. Neither works with the HD500 and multiple discussions and supplying info to Line 6 could not resolve the issue. I think it may have to do with the multiple USB ports. Line 6 says not to use a USB hub and as these laptops have multiple USB inputs I am thinking an internal hub could be the issue. So as I purchasing a new laptop, I'd like to avoid any issues. Any reccomendations apprecciated.
