  1. Hello everyone, Good evening. A few days back, while starting the jam session with the band, I plugged in my POD HD500 to the power and all i got was this blank screen. When the unit was working, this screen usually stayed up for a few seconds before the line 6 logo was displayed. I have tried everything from the forums - Holding left keypad while powering on, holding up keypad while powering on, even tried right and bottom keypad too. I tried connecting to Line 6 Monkey on the PC and the PC doesn't detect the unit. I also tried my power adapter on the second guitarists POD500, and his unit was working. I then tried his power adapter on mine and still got this display. I think this rules out the possibility of a faulty power adapter (It's the one they ship with the unit) Attached is an image of the problem I am facing with the unit to help throw some light on how it looks like. Has anyone from the community ever faced this issue? If so, please do share what was done to fix it. I have all my patches on it and I am (rather, was - lelz) in the middle of tracking a few singles for an EP with the same unit. Any help or leads would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Rgds
  2. Hi everyone I've been looking for a comprehensive answer to this all over the Internet and somehow just cannot find a guide that would explain things from start to finish. The question is: What do you do to achieve good sound when you connect a Line 6 POD HD (500, in my case) to a PC, using USB? I've connected mine, installed Line 6 Monkey, made sure all software is up-to-date, set Studio/Direct output mode on the POD, set the POD as a soundcard (both for output and recording), but the sound is far from one would expect. Here's a sample: http://www.filedropper.com/line6directusbsample I'm not an expert in recording or sound engineering - probably like most people who buy a POD and would like to have decent sound when hooking it up to a PC.
  3. Hi, i want to be able to use my POD just for effects and use the sound of my tube amp. So, i make a patch with amp and cab disabled, Where abouts do i insert the FX loop block, if i want a compressor, tube screamer and noise gate for example before my tube amp, and reverb, delay etc.. after my amp? What setting would these be? Studio/Direct, Combo Pwr Amp etc...? Will i need to adjust the mixer levels? Is there anything else i should know? Any problems i might come across or any tips that could help me? Thanks
