I'm very happy with the way the HD 5150 amp has turned out. It's my favorite amp model on my Peavey Vypyr II amp, and it's now probably going to be my favorite on my HD500X. Having said that, it definitely needs some tweaks and adjustments to get a usable sound. To my ears, the default settings have way too much mosquito buzz and a little too much low end, but to be honest, the exact same is true with the 5150 model on my Vypyr amp, so I believe that those are just characteristics of the actual amp (but I've not played on a real 5150, so my experience is limited to modelers). I purposely recorded this clip with the default settings of the amp model to give an idea of the sound without any adjustments. The only exceptions are that I increased the mids about 12%, I added plate reverb and I added tape echo. Also, I did not add drums or bass when recording to let the guitar be fully heard. So, all of the items that to me need tweaked are still present in this clip, so you'll hear too much buzzyness. But again, this is purposely to give a demo of the raw sound of the amp without much tweaking. I plan on doing an A/B comparison with my Vypyr 5150 settings, which I have set the way I like, to get this more in line with that. Lowering the gain, lowering the presence, reducing the bass and treble a little, and a few other things should get this amp model sounding pretty good. http://www.mediafire.com/listen/2cxbx2idr74x726/PVPanamaAmpModel.mp3 Edit: I also meant to say that for this clip, I did not change the input settings to guitar/variax instead of guitar/same, so changing that may help, too.

Hello I was wondering if there is anyway you can "lock" the master volume knob like the rest of the knobs? If I or someone else mistakenly bumps into my gear and hit any knobs its no big deal because you have to hit save...Except for the Master Volume! If this gets bumped your screwed. Anyway to set this knob to a specific setting and just lock it there? If not it sure would be a great feature to have! thanks.

So I use an m-audio midiport to change my pod's patches during live shows. However when a patch changes, there is a small interruption of sound (for about half a second) which sounds bad in the mix... Is there a way to make the change faster? If not, I basicly change between rythm and lead patches, so can I change some parameters of the patch (like turning pedals on/off. or amp settings) using MIDI signals? I just want to make our live sound as perfect as it can get...

I have had a G90 Relay system for about 3 years now. I recently tried to change the batteries and noticed they were not connecting properly and actually rattling around in the transmitter! The old dead batteries were not and still fit and connected well. Both Energizer brand. The old batteries are actually a millimeter or 2 longer than the new ones I had bought. Same with new Duracell's I bought. Is anyone else having this issue and is there a fix? Seems like they are making AA batteries shorter now which for spring loaded devices it's no big deal but for this transmitter its the difference between it working and not working.

I've recently bought the line 6 pod HD PRO x rackmount processor. I have no knowledge what so ever in hooking this up. I have a Mac and a Windows computer available. Gear: line 6 spider iv HD 150 amp head, 100w crate cab, FBV mkii express pedal. Three instrument cables available, and two speaker cables. I've been searching the web for solutions but nothing has helped me. How can I hook this up, ready to use? Many people have used the 4 cable method; however it doesn't apply to me since my amp has no effects loop, amp head only has L R speaker outs, and a direct/phones Jack. I'm looking to get sound out of my cab, hoping that the processor reads my amp head only as a power amp. I went to samash and guitar center to inquire, the only solution I got was to guitar>Pro x in>unbalanced L>amp head in. I got around however the knobs on the processor AND the amp head were operational, I'm assuming the processor reads the amp head as another pre amp, I don't want this. The sound I get is low, and I have to raise the volume for each and every preset on processor because they all have different volume levels, one preset is much louder than another preset. I feel like this method is not really reliable, I have no idea what to do.

hey everyone I'm a guitarist who records with my Line 6 UX1 and POD Farm, and I'm looking for someone to do some drum tracks for me. A drummer or someone who can program drums for an online collaboration for 2 or 3 songs, even if its programmed drums or a MIDI file I can edit that would work as well, and I'm willing to pay. I'm recording some originals and covers in Reaper and I need drum tracks for the songs. Hard rock/metal songs for now probably one original and one cover. You need to be able to record your drums in your home studio or studio with good quality and be able to send the tracks to me over the internet so I can record guitar with what you played! Please let me know! E-Mail me we can talk over email, facebook, or by phone. It doesn't matter where you live. Here's some other songs I did with my band, Caidema, to show you the kind of style I play in: • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spt0o80FLgs and • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsq_CkjG52k Thank You -Matt • MatthewIan84@gmail.com • www.Facebook.com/CaidemaBand • www.Facebook.com/Mattianalbano

Which Line 6 Home Recording/Practice Set-Up is Best? (For recording metal/rock music) Hey everyone, I'm just wondering if anyone has an opinion on this... It's been a while having lost all my equipment 4 years ago right when my band was very active. But right now I'm looking to get a home setup where I can easily record and practice. Nothing crazy or fancy, but something I can setup fairly quickly or take with me, but also something that will allow me to produce and record demos for my metal/nu-metal band, Caidema (http://www.facebook.com/caidemaband). I'm really interested in a direct recording But I also know that just mic'ing an amp can be much better. After a lot of research for my budget ($300) I've been looking at the Line 6 POD UX1 and the POD UX2. I'm Leaning more towards the Line 6 POD UX1 more than the other. What I'm not sure about is if if I should go with the UX1, or one of these: Line 6 POD 2.0, POD XT, or Pocket POD. All I need is to be able to plug my guitar and headphones into it (without an amplifier) and be able to practice whenever, wherever (and not lollipop off the neighbors.) I also need to be able to turn on my computer, set everything up, load up the PODfarm, audacity and record my guitar, vocals, etc. I have $300 to get what I need for the setup, required cables and wires, and microphone if possible. Down the line I'll buy more equipment, but for now I just need a simple "I live on my grandfather's couch" setup. Just not sure which one of those I should go with. OR would it be better to go with my other option: buy a 15-30w Line 6 spider amp, buy a microphone to mic the amp, and buy a different USB Audio Interface. (All for under $300 somehow) What do you guys think? Line 6 POD Studio UX1 or Line 6 POD 2.0, Line 6 PODxt, POD Pocket (Or if there is any other product I don't have listed please let me know) • Line 6 POD Studio UX1 (with Podfarm) • Line 6 POD 2.0 • Line 6 Pocket Pod (used)

Hi there, I've been using a TonePort KB37 for a while, but I have recently upgraded in MIDI controllers. I am hoping to sell my KB37, but have the following concerns for a prospective buyer: As the product was previously licensed/activated by me, will another user have any issues authenticating it on their own system? (It is just the controller, with none of the special model packs.) Thanks, john

I've been recently having problems with my FBV Express MKII Pedal and I cannot seem to diagnose what the problem is. In short, I play in a band that requires a lot of switching from clean to distortion tones. When I'm on stage playing and trying to execute the changes, the pedal will either not switch to the correct channel or will not switch to a different channel at all. Do you think this could be a calibration problem, cable problem, or problem with the pedal itself? Thanks

New video I just did of Neil Zaza's song In My Dreams. The lead guitar is only the patch I created direct to the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. You can download the tone here: http://line6.com/customtone/tone/608051/ The backing track and tab were purchased at www.neilzaza.com.

hi there, I recently bought a used DT-50 112 combo, and to make it easier to switch between channels picked up a Boss FS-5L foot switch. Tried it out when i got it a few weeks ago, worked fine. Hadn't put the amp on for about two weeks, then tried it tonight and had issues. firstly when I put the TS cable into the foot switch input it would automatically switch from A to B, even when the foot switch itself was not connected. [never B to A though] I even had issues switching it back to A with the front selector switch. - I tried about six different TS cables, none of them worked with the foot switch. - Changed batteries in the Boss, [even though brand new], light would work to indicate it is working, but still no action on the amp. I then turned it off and back on again, holding down the channel select switch on the amp for six seconds. [read about it here somewhere, thought it couldn't hurt]. After this the foot switch input and the Boss would not change the channel, although the switch would. Could the jack input be damaged in some way? and is it an easy fix? other than that the amp is fine, but its an annoyance to not be able to switch channels easily with the new foot switch. Has this happened to anyone else, and what was your solution? Also, if needed, does anyone know the best place in Melbourne, Australia, to fix this type of issue? cheers, Sean

Hello, For a few months now I'm having this problem with my setup. I have the Tannoy Reveal 402 monitors connected to the UX2 via unbalanced PL connection. For the first few weeks I had the monitors, they worked great. Then, everytime I turned them on, the soundcard stopped working and crashed (no orange lights) and when I turned the monitors back off, the UX2 worked again. I replaced one of the monitors for new Tannoy Reveal 402, and the same problem occured. Then I sent it for a fix and they did find something, but the problem still occurs. I emailed Tannoy about this problem and this was their response: What do you guys think can be the problem? The UX2 can be on for hours but when I turn the monitors he crashes.

Hello, I'm wondering if it is possible to use one M9 as a MIDI Controller for a second M9, specifically using both as looping pedals. Would it possible to configure it such that pressing REC on the first box simultaneously activates REC on the second, STOP on the first activates STOP on the second, so on and so forth? This way multiple instruments could be operating within the same loop, while being able to keep the signals far separated. If this is possible, I'd love some insight as to how to accomplish such a task. Infinite thanks in advance Henry
