I am using Line 6 pod x3 live and I have a problem that I can’t find a solution to. I wanted to make some individual sounds so I downloaded the last version of Line 6 Monkey from the official site. After downloading drivers I installed GearBox. My GearBox detected Line 6 pod x3 live and all the Banks. After that I changed configurations of some Banks and used the Put All button to save it all to Line 6 pod x3 live. While I was using my pod connected to computer it all worked alright. When I disconnect the pod from computer Tone 2 in all Banks was the same as the last Tone 2 used in active Channel. When I connected Line 6 pod x3 live to computer with GearBox it all worked alright – all Banks had the right configurations I have made before. That I tried to get all Banks from my Line 6 to GearBox with Get All button and all Banks had the right configurations too. The problem is that when I disconnect Line 6 from computer Tone 2 in all Banks has the configuration of the last Tone 2 of the active Channel. I would be very glad if you could help me to solve the problem.

Hey. So I'm using a Spider IV 30 and I couldn't figure out anywhere, if every pedal is compatibility with it. I'm about to go out and buy a Polytuner and a sustain pedal of some sort, and it would just be a shame if it wasn't working with the pedal. *Not sure this is the correct place on the forum, if not, I'm sorry.

I own a combo amp https://marshallamps.com/products/amplifiers/mg-carbon-fibre/mg50cfx/ and also a pair of hi-fi speakers http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B006H4E1XU/ref=sr_ph?ie=UTF8&qid=1445447518&sr=1&keywords=q+acoustics+2020i After seeing a few people have trouble with the combo amp and multi fx boards, due to the separate settings on the amp, I was wondering if I should connect the firehawk to the speakers or even some new gear. I'd appreciate your opinion on what I should do and please provide links on how and what I need to wire it up with. Thanks -K

The Looper How do I find the Looper? Most factory presets already have a Looper block, ready to go. If your preset doesn't, or you cleared all the blocks, Looper blocks can be selected from the very bottom of the Model List, below the Send/Return category. How much looping time do I get? For mono looping, Helix gives you up to 120 seconds 1/2-speed or 60 seconds full speed. There’s also a new stereo looper, which gives you 60 seconds 1/2-speed or 30 seconds full speed. Why does the Looper stop when I switch presets? Helix's looper can maintain playback and recording across presets as long as the target preset: Has the same type of looper block (mono or stereo) Has the looper block on the same path (1 or 2) Has the looper block assigned to a footswitch Otherwise, loop recording/playback will stop. Basic Looper Usage Helix can add one mono or stereo Looper block per preset. The Looper can exist anywhere on either Path 1 or Path 2. See Looper Footswitch Mode for information on using the Looper. Using a Dual signal path: Keep in mind that the looper is only available for one signal path at a time. So if you're using a second signal path, you will noticed a significant drop in volume, since the looper is only on one path. Looper Settings Knob Parameter Description 1 Playback: Adjusts looper playback level. You may find it useful to turn this down a bit so your live guitar can be slightly louder. 2 Overdub:Sets the level of your loop while overdubbing. For example, if your Overdub Level is set to 90%, each time your loop repeats, its volume will be reduced by 10%, sounding quieter and quieter with each overdub pass. 3 Low Cut and Low Cut: Filters a portion of the loop's bass and/or treble frequencies, which can improve the mix with your live guitar. For more information check out the manual here.

Will there be an iOS or Android editor? Probably not, Helix's presets are extremely large, and syncing 1024 tones would take forever. As Helix is more at home in larger studios and on larger tours, it makes sense to support Mac/PC editing. Can I reamp? Yes, You can reamp two instruments simultaneously. You can even choose which two physical inputs will be sent dry to your DAW. Does Helix pass SysEx data via MIDI Thru? No. We actively filter out SysEx data through Helix. Does Helix have delay or reverb spillover? Delays, Reverbs and FX Loops have bypass trails, where they'll continue to ring out after being bypassed (if desired). But this currently no delay or reverb spillover when changing presets. Why isn't there a metal protection bar for the knobs? Helix's top panel is carved from a solid block of aluminum (like a Macbook Pro you can stomp on) and its side panels and treadle are solid aluminum as well. There's no metal protection bar because our 210 pound lead tester kicked the crap out of it and the metal knobs worked flawlessly. How do I get Helix's footswitch mapping to be like HD500X's? Stay in Preset footswitch mode. Then, the Global Settings > Footswitches menu, set: *Knob 2 (Preset mode Switches) to "Lower Row" *Knob 4 (Up/Down Switches) to "Banks" How do I customize a footswitch's label and LED color? There are two ways. *From the Footswitch Assign screen, as long as the current block is assigned to a footswitch, press Knob 6 (Customize) *From the Command Center screen, select Footswitch 1-6, 7-11, or Exp Toe and press Knob 6 (Customize) The Helix Modeling Engine Is this the same old HD engine? No, Helix utilizes an all new from the ground up advanced dual DSP processor architecture with HX models. Are ALL the models HX? Not quite. The reverbs and 8 our of 10 wahs are HD, but they've been enhanced and tweaked for inclusion in HX. The popular Line 6 custom amps Elektrik, Doom, and Epic are technically HD, but have been rebuilt inside the HX engine and many advantages of HX. All other amps, cabs, and effects have been modeled in HX from the ground up. I noticed some model names are the same as in the HD models packs. Are you sure they aren't HD? The all new models in the HD model packs came from the original Helix modeling sessions (except for the Pete Anderson Custom which is based on POD 2.0!), but they've been stripped down somewhat to run on the HD architecture. Where are the deep cab parameters? Instead of reso, thump, etc., Helix has mic distance, Low Cut, and High Cut. Model list/DSP Allocation Will the I see the DSP LIMIT REACHED message like in HD500X? Why are some items in the model list grayed out? Even though Helix has 2.3 times the DSP power of HD500X, and we have more efficient code optimization, HX models are notably more sophisticated than HD. In practice, you should get about 50% more blocks than HD500X and 60% more than HD500. However, the message popping up and telling you you've run out of DSP is gone. Instead, Helix intelligently grays out and skips over any models that can't be accommodated. How can I move a block from Path 1 to 2 (or vice versa) Currently, Helix cannot move blocks between paths. You can, however, copy and paste blocks from one path to the other (even in a different preset) How do I create parallel paths? 1. Highlight a block you want to move to a parallel path a press ACTION to "pick it up" 2. Move the joystick down to move the block to the parallel path. Troubleshooting I hear some distortion/clipping from my headphone out. Why? Helix's headphone out is designed to drive even high impedance studio headphones. If you use low impedance headphones, you may hear a bit of distortion when cranked all thew way. This is normal. Why is the AUX IN volume different from the guitar in? Helix's AUX IN has a 10k Ohm impedance, and is meant to accommodate guitars or basses with louder active pickups or line-level mono synths. My S/PDIF output is low The S/PDIF output is a copy of the internal levels. The master will not affect the output volume. If you are experiencing a quiet output with SPDF, you can add volume somewhere in the patch. Add channel volume on the amp model, or even output gain on a some dynamics. Remember that a lot of patches have lower db due to compression and EQ. Mystery Train has a lot of low end cut out of the patch that would lower the total db, but still keep the perceived volume around the same as something with higher db and more low end. Helix Rack and Control What's the difference between Helix and Helix Rack? Along with the Helix Control Remote, Helix Rack's workflow and feature set is virtually identical to that of Helix. Plus you get duplicate expression pedal jacks, a 1/4" analog bypass (buffered) output, AES/EBU in and Wordclock in with terminator switch. Presets can be freely shared across both units with no file conversion required. Is Helix Control powered from Helix Rack? Why is there a DC IN jack? Yes, Helix Control is powered from Helix Rack. if you leave its power switch on, turning Helix Rack on and off will also affect Helix Control. The DC IN is for very long cable lengths (TBD, but probably over 100 feet) and for possible future use. Helix Control does not ship with a DC-3G, as it's not necessary. Why does Helix control have a USB connector? For potential future use. Helix's Control firmware is updatable, but only while connected to the Helix Rack. which would be connected via USB to a Mac or PC. Do not connect Helix Control's local USB jack to a Mac/Pc, at last for now. Why is Helix Rack 3 spaces? Couldn't you have crammed it into 2 spaces? No, but we tried. The color screen is far too large and there are too many ins and outs to fit into 2RU. What kind of expression pedal do I use with my Helix? You can use either the Line 6 EX-1 or the Mission Engineering EP1-L6. Helix LT What am I not getting with the Helix LT? First, remember that the Helix modeling engine is exactly the same as the rack and main floor unit. All units in the Helix family will sound the same, and you will be able to transfer patches between them all. The biggest thing missing is the scribble strips and a must leaner I/O. Click here to check out all its specs. Is the on pedal screen the same? Yup, completely identical. Weights and Measurements Rack: 19 x 5.05 x 8.80 inches, 11.9 lbs Control: 17.09 x 9.46 x 2.58 inches, 7.3 lbs Floor: 22.05 x 11.85 x 3.58 inches, 14.7 lbs LT: 20.87 x 11.93 x 3.66 inches, 12.5 lbs

The problem with Line 6 is the Amplifi 75 and 150 are suppose to work with Apple and Android products. Line 6 advertises using the app with these devices. I bought the Amplifi 150 about a year ago. It is registered with Line 6. I had 3 Android devices that would not connect with the Amplifi 150. So, I bought an Apple iPad 2.... I hate Apple products. My iPad is a dedicated device to the Amplifi 150. At the time I got the iPad, it was on IOS 4 or 6. It worked great. No problems with connectivity. When IOS 7.? close to IOS 8 came out, I started to have problems with connectivity. I called Line 6... I sent them a message about this as well. They said that they are working on it. This was a year ago. I was given a TAG number. A lot of good it was. Still no firmware up date from Line 6 and how many updated firmware came from Apple? So the gape between Line 6 and Apple widens. As Apple updates its IOS, Line 6 Amplifi starts having more and more problems till now, IOS 9 and the Amplifi app does not work at all. So, Line 6.... Your answer for this problem is the same answer you guys gave me a year ago. "We are aware of this problem and working on it." I say BS... Line 6 has had a year to fix this... Now IOS 9 is here and what? Its going to be another year before the firmware is updated? The last Amplifi update was 2014 2.10.... Line 6 products work good, when they work. Sooner or latter.... Line 6 customers will be buying other products because of the lack of support for the products they have now. Thank You.

I am trying to connect my old Line 6 product which I believe is the Tone Direct UX2 model to my new laptop. So far I am unable to get my computer to recognize my MIDI device. I keep getting an error message when I try to update my software that I need to log into my account and when I do I get a message that reads: Log in failed. Make sure you are connected to the internet. Reason: (Code 800038C6) Unknown server error occured. If you have popup blockers, anti-spyware, or anti-virus programs running, try temporarily disabling then. I am connected to the internet and do not any any blockers turned on. I would at least like to connect my MIDI device to my Reason Adapted software (which is also pretty old) or Reaper which I have downloaded so I can record my guitars and vocals on my computer. Any help is appreciated!

Here is a throwback question for any die hard line 6 fans out there... Which would you rather have line 6's newer spider valve mkii whether it be a 112, 212 or the head OR would you rather have a little known or maybe just forgotten AX2 212 modeling amp from the 90's.. and Why? -hellspoolboy

I have a Line 6 UX1 and use the associated POD Farm with it as my main source of amplification within my DAW and as standalone. However, my concern is the requirement of using the UX1 for POD Farm to work. Is this requirement based on using the UX1 drivers, having the UX1 plugged in, or a combination of both? I've been considering doing a jerry-rigged setup of a Steinberg UR22 (Or Scarlett 2i4) as my main interface while having the UX1 plugged in but not being used, but would like some clarification before I purchase a new interface. TL;DR: How is the device specific POD Farm attached to the device?

Is there a good, reliable expression pedal made by a 3rd party that works well with the PODs? It's not critical that I get one before this weekend, but I would like to if possible, and none of the local places sell the Line 6 add-on pedal. I don't have time to order one from Amazon by then, either. What are some other brand external expression pedals I could look into at a Guitar Center or some place like that?

I am using a Line 6 POD HD 400 Guitar Processor which I had purchased on 8th May, 2014. But from last few days I am getting a problem from my POD HD 400. The problem is that when I turn on the POD HD 400, everything is okay but suddenly after a few minutes there is no sound and the tuner does not work. I tried doing Factory Restore but it did not help me as the problem still remains. I checked my Guitar which is a "B.C. Rich Kerry King Wartribe" and it is completely working fine. I also checked my Amplifier which is a "Crate Flexwave 15R (15 Watt)" and it is also working completely fine. Please help.

I need to utilize the iPad app, I tried recording to a USB but ran out of space after recording the inputs and main mix for about 1:45 hours. It was a 16gb card What is the biggest we card that the mixer will take? I currently use the usb to connect to a wired network through an apple lan adapter and it works great Is it possible to hook up a wifi USB adapter and a usb hard drive to record to or is a large sd card the only option with wifi?

Hello I was wondering if there is anyway you can "lock" the master volume knob like the rest of the knobs? If I or someone else mistakenly bumps into my gear and hit any knobs its no big deal because you have to hit save...Except for the Master Volume! If this gets bumped your screwed. Anyway to set this knob to a specific setting and just lock it there? If not it sure would be a great feature to have! thanks.

I'm very happy with the way the HD 5150 amp has turned out. It's my favorite amp model on my Peavey Vypyr II amp, and it's now probably going to be my favorite on my HD500X. Having said that, it definitely needs some tweaks and adjustments to get a usable sound. To my ears, the default settings have way too much mosquito buzz and a little too much low end, but to be honest, the exact same is true with the 5150 model on my Vypyr amp, so I believe that those are just characteristics of the actual amp (but I've not played on a real 5150, so my experience is limited to modelers). I purposely recorded this clip with the default settings of the amp model to give an idea of the sound without any adjustments. The only exceptions are that I increased the mids about 12%, I added plate reverb and I added tape echo. Also, I did not add drums or bass when recording to let the guitar be fully heard. So, all of the items that to me need tweaked are still present in this clip, so you'll hear too much buzzyness. But again, this is purposely to give a demo of the raw sound of the amp without much tweaking. I plan on doing an A/B comparison with my Vypyr 5150 settings, which I have set the way I like, to get this more in line with that. Lowering the gain, lowering the presence, reducing the bass and treble a little, and a few other things should get this amp model sounding pretty good. http://www.mediafire.com/listen/2cxbx2idr74x726/PVPanamaAmpModel.mp3 Edit: I also meant to say that for this clip, I did not change the input settings to guitar/variax instead of guitar/same, so changing that may help, too.

So I use an m-audio midiport to change my pod's patches during live shows. However when a patch changes, there is a small interruption of sound (for about half a second) which sounds bad in the mix... Is there a way to make the change faster? If not, I basicly change between rythm and lead patches, so can I change some parameters of the patch (like turning pedals on/off. or amp settings) using MIDI signals? I just want to make our live sound as perfect as it can get...

I have had a G90 Relay system for about 3 years now. I recently tried to change the batteries and noticed they were not connecting properly and actually rattling around in the transmitter! The old dead batteries were not and still fit and connected well. Both Energizer brand. The old batteries are actually a millimeter or 2 longer than the new ones I had bought. Same with new Duracell's I bought. Is anyone else having this issue and is there a fix? Seems like they are making AA batteries shorter now which for spring loaded devices it's no big deal but for this transmitter its the difference between it working and not working.

I've recently bought the line 6 pod HD PRO x rackmount processor. I have no knowledge what so ever in hooking this up. I have a Mac and a Windows computer available. Gear: line 6 spider iv HD 150 amp head, 100w crate cab, FBV mkii express pedal. Three instrument cables available, and two speaker cables. I've been searching the web for solutions but nothing has helped me. How can I hook this up, ready to use? Many people have used the 4 cable method; however it doesn't apply to me since my amp has no effects loop, amp head only has L R speaker outs, and a direct/phones Jack. I'm looking to get sound out of my cab, hoping that the processor reads my amp head only as a power amp. I went to samash and guitar center to inquire, the only solution I got was to guitar>Pro x in>unbalanced L>amp head in. I got around however the knobs on the processor AND the amp head were operational, I'm assuming the processor reads the amp head as another pre amp, I don't want this. The sound I get is low, and I have to raise the volume for each and every preset on processor because they all have different volume levels, one preset is much louder than another preset. I feel like this method is not really reliable, I have no idea what to do.

So I have been using the FBV Express MKII with a Spider IV 30w amplifier for about 7 months without any issues I tried to connect it with my pc (without sucess for not having the right software installed I think) and nothing went wrong. The leds were lit when connected to the pc, but just as I tried it again on the amp nothing happened. I still get that 'click' whenever I plug it in but it seems to be dead. I've tried to restart my pc so it could recognize the unit, but it just doesn't happen anymore Are there any obvious solutions for this issue? I'll be needing the pedal for the next week so please, I need to get help as soon as possible Thank you

Hello everyone, I'm having trobule with S/PDIF on Line 6 UX -2. I'm using windows 7, and cubase 5 and motherboard is Gigabyte GA - MA770-UD3... I connected S/PDIF cable on motherboard and on the UX2. On sound manager I put to Default device (Playback) is "Realtek High Definition Audio" and so in Realtek HD Audio Manager. When I play some music on my PC, the 'vu metar' is showing me to something is playing on Realtek Digital Output, but I can't hear anything on my speakers, when I changed to the default device is "Line 6 UX 2" I can hear music on my speakers... So, can anyone help me about this? Thanks
