  1. i Have a Line 6 M13 a few years and I always used with external drive to achieve the best tone i could ever get, but it always was on the input of my amp. now I'm buying a new amp with an effects loops. my question is if I use the 4CM and use external drive do the overdrive signal will go to the effects loops of my amp? Because it's not been processed inside the M13. If the overdrive signal is going to the effects loop what should I do to not damage my amp and still use external drives with the M13?
  2. I use cubase 5 and I can configure the ux2 to record with the mic input (XLR).
  3. Hi all I recently tried the new Belkin dual lightning adaptor http://www.belkin.com/uk/p/P-F8J198/ to see if it would charge my iPhone while the sonic port + charger were plugged in. I am sad to report that it doesn't work, so don't buy one if you were thinking the same as me!
  4. Hi. My Toneport ux2 won't connect to gearbox on my mac... Is this simply because LIne6 haven't released the macOS Sierra version of Gearbox? If so does anyone know when this will be released? Cheers
  6. I have An Apple MacBook Pro i7, running El Captain 10.11.6. I recently upgraded to El Captain and did not have any issues using GearBox with Yosemite. If I launch GearBox without my TonePort UX2 plugged into the USB, GearBox will start up just fine but when I plug the USB in for my UX2 I get the pinwheel of death. If I launch GearBox and have my UX2 plugged in before i launch, it gets stuck on "Initializing DSP" I downloaded POD Farm 2 and it woks but only in a trial capacity as I have not purchased the program, but it does works with Garageband. I can launch Garage Band and use my TonePort and the effects Garage Band has pre installed. All my drivers are up to date according to Monkey. It all seems to revolve around GearBox. Any known solutions to this?
  7. Hello all, I got my Helix yesterday, and needless to say I've had nothing but issues so far. I plugged it in and plugged my headphones in, and started playing. I noticed the signal would cut in and out every few seconds or so, so I unplugged the headphones... only to notice the tip of the headphone connector was still stuck inside the unit (which I do not blame on the Helix at all!). I was able to remove it luckily. Today, I just can't get any kind of signal into or out of the Helix. I've done numerous resets, and reinstalled the newest version of Helix firmware. Nothing. I have everything (headphones, guitar, USB to computer) plugged in exactly like I did yesterday when I got the unit and had sound, but nothing. Also yesterday, I connected the unit through USB to my Windows 10 desktop, and I was able to hear my computers sound through the headphone jack on the Helix. I can't even get that to work today. Any tips? I really wanna mess with the unit, but not in the fashion of repeated troubleshooting and the like. Thanks! CBpunk16
  8. hello there i was trying to stream on twitch for my friends what im doing in fl studio like normally i use ux2 as my main device in fl studio but everytime i use it in fl studio it doesnt give any output to windows insteed it send everything directly to my headphones when i watch videos or speak to my friends the green bar at audio settings from windows outputs jump up but when i use the ux2 in fl studio the green output bar doesnt jump up what should i do ? is it a ux2 failure or is it about fl studio?? i upload 2 pics so you can see what i mean
  9. Hey guys :) all of ur support were very helpful.. My question is: How can I make the sound of my guitar last longer when doing the lead.. cause when I try to do a lead and play or press the last/ higer notes.. the sound doesnt last for a long time..
  10. Thereis a annoying buzz that constantly humms when I activate cubase or reason. I noticed it seems to be a common problem with a lot people. maybe its too much for a usb cable to run a preamp and a 8 channel audio interface with compressors. people said balanced cables helped solve the problem but a lot of people were still having the problem regardless. anybody have any solutions to this problem or am i just lollipoped as one person on the forum stated...
  11. Hi all, I've had my Pod HD500 for about a year now and I've noticed that the loop function, all of a sudden, doesnt work! Obviously it used to and I know how to do it, but for some reason, everytime I go to record something, it doesnt play it back . . . Anyone know why?? Any help what so ever would be greatly appreciated, Cheers! Damian
  12. Hi guys! I'm fairly new to the Line 6 community and I'm looking to find a genuine slash tone. I know you guys probably get a ton of these posts, but I haven't been able to find a tone that sounds like Slash's on AFD. I know my amp comes with a preset Sweet Child tone, but it isn't like slash. Could it be my guitar and/or pickups? I tried turning tone knobs all the way down on the guitar and it is a little bit closer to slash's tone, but not quite. I have a Spider IV 120W 2x10 Combo Amp and I'm playing with an Epiphone LP Traditional Pro. Any help would be appreciated!! Thank you!
  13. Hi everyone. Ive recently purchased a POD studio GX and i can't seem to get any audio input. Im running OS X 10.10.4 and driver version 7.5.7. Pod Farm starts up correctly and i can get output via the GX in cubase but the box itself doesn't see any input signal from my guitar. Im using a brand new cable and i know the guitar is electronically sound. Ive tried everything i can think of (i even returned the first unit i bought as i assumed it to have a faulty input jack). Is anyone else running a GX on 10.10.4? Is the something else i can do to fix this, maybe a legacy driver? Any advice is gratefully received. Cheers!
  14. Happy Thanksgiving and warm holiday wishes to all! Everyone please be safe and may you all be stuffed with Turkey. If not may someone find you wanting and promptly stuff you with turkey! Lol PEACE TO ALL!!!
  15. Hello Line 6 Community. Been using Line 6 products for more than 10 years now, but always for live sound. I just started my home studio and decided to go simple first, so I already had a Line 6 TonePort UX1 and I decided to use it as my soundcard/table. I play guitar and always used my toneport with programs like gearbox, guitar rig and amplitube. It always worked well, but I've never tried XLR input of my toneport since I never wanted to record voice. Then I bought a mic. Without knowing what "phantom power" and "condenser" mics really meant, I fell for a Behringer B-1 mic. For in case you guys don't know, it's a XLR condenser mic (which needs 48v power to work). So I turned it on my toneport and the expected happened: "No sound". Then I searched in the internet for the cause and it led me to "Phantom Power boxes". I bought one of these little boxes that apparently have a XLR input, a XLR output and a Phantom Power switch. I rigged everything to my toneport. When the phantom power switch of the box is off, the green light saying 12v appears. In that case, the microphone works but with a very low audio gain. Ridiculously low, srsly. When I turn the Phantom Power on, the red led says 48v and then... for my surprise... it doesn't work at all. The toneport doesn't get any sound. Then I thought that it makes sense, "How does the toneport will receive a 48v signal by being only connected in a USB input?". I guess the guy who said to buy a phantom power box thought that the toneport ux1 was connected to another source of energy, not only USB. My question is: Do I have to upgrade to Toneport UX2 or other newer version which doesn't rely only in usb as a power source so I can use my 48V mic? Or it should have worked 48v in my toneport? I'm lost now, since the internet says one thing and I've tried and didn't get results... Thanks in advance and have a nice day, guys.
  16. 17. Hello, I recently purchased a Line6 UX2 and I just plugged in my casual headphones through a 1/4 inch adapter and I am receiving a static like noise in both of my ear cups but particularity the left ear cup. I was wondering if this is due to the 1/4 inch adapter or the UX2 is defective? Please let me know your ideas. Thank you.
  18. I've been using my Pod UX1 for about 5 years now with absolutely no issues. Today i updated to El Capitan and suddenly i'm getting no audio from pod farm and no visible input signal. Not only that but when i try to open Logic Pro 9 it scans all my audio units and then stops on POD Farm forever. It will NOT scan Podfarm. What is wrong here? I have all the latest drivers etc but it just isn't working. Should i try reinstalling podfarm or is it simply that Line 6 hasn't updated it yet? HELP
  19. Hello fellow audio engineering junkies!! I just recently downloaded Line6's POD HD500X software along with a patch that has opened right to 'Setlist 1'. I do not have an external Line6 device, however, I do have an Akai Professional MPK25 USB/Midi Performance Keyboard and just recently bought my Tascam US 2x2 Audio Interface to record with and I was having Issues with setting up my POD HD500X with my MPK25 midi keyboard. Is there a way to arm devices through Line6 or arm the pod through any other programs like my Mixcraft 6 recording software? I have a midi patch set up on a setlist, yet It Is not registering through my midi. If anybody has any suggestions on how to run and arm Line6 through various devices then I would love to know ASAP. If there are any drivers that would make this possible, please feel free to link It In your reply. I would like to start creating and downloading patches to use for my devices, but I need It to come through on them first!! Here's Hoping, Brendan
  20. Hi! I Have a Line6 Relay G30 since 2012. I haven't use it for 3 months (pick out the batteries). And now the transmitter doesn't work.. Use brand new alkaline, but doesn't turn it on.. any ideas? Thanks
  21. So I (still) have motivations to get a good JTV-89F (2013 model); from the start (in July) I took a loan from family for this. This is an overview of the particular shipments of this guitar I received/tried, and are returned to the online dealer within right-to-return-period. The various reasons are in the respective Posts; the first 2 most problematic, and the latter 2/3 just plain clumsiness, I guess, in the manufacturing process in Korea ([Yamaha] Line 6 contracting 3rd party? Or a branch?). In this case at least, I've been thoroughly careful throughout my testing process with all of these I've tested. I've more to add to this Thread/Topic, but I've to be OP before I can add to it: 1. My 1st JTV-89F (Korea) - 23 March 2015 batch from Yamaha Europe (NEW - SEALED BOX) found in a different/initial Thread/Topic (no need to move it), short list; reason of return: 1.a. Electronically not branded correctly. 1.b. Alternate Tuning nob: 1.b.1. Partially reversed Tuning Preset positions! 1.b.2. Partially unexplained Tuning Preset positions. 2. My 2nd JTV-89F (Korea) - 7 July 2015 batch from Yamaha Europe (NEW - SEALED BOX); reason of return: 2.a. A 2nd Alternate Tuning Nob instead of the Modelling Nob.. 3. My 3rd JTV-89F (Korea) - 5 August 2015 batch from Yamaha Europe (NEW - SEALED BOX):; reason of return: 3.a. A possible (beginning) crack in the guitar Neck, but most probably a reckless position-marking for the placement of the guitar Nut; based on two indications/evidence-points. 4. My 4th JTV-89F (Korea) - 23 March 2015 batch from Yamaha Europe (NEW - SEALED BOX); reason of return: 4.a. An ominous QC possible oversight or simple dismissal, even though cosmetic; I'll not test it any further. It's over. Next. 5. My 5th JTV-89F (Korea) - 14 August 2015 batch from Yamaha Europe (NEW - SEALED BOX - making a case for this one's return as well) The main reason I wanted and still want a NEW one, is mainly for its warranty/ease-of-mind! Because if this was not NEW combined with the right dealer, it would have been a no-go/impossible/un-doable/lollipop/poo-eating-contest time. I might have considered eating lollipop/poo just to get a good one in return.. luckily, it doesn't have to come to that. I've not even gotten to the FW and SW improvement wishing. But one step a time. I still [partially] support (Yamaha) Line 6 for its pioneering and continuing innovations and inventiveness (in my view anyway). I'm sure everyone's negative experience in anyway brings shame to their brand, something they definitely don't standby idly and do nothing about. Communication lines, however, are just overloaded; a lot is going on with/from everyone everywhere. So I'll push for the changes that 'serve' me. If it helps anyone else, it would be a bonus. EDITs: expanded + addition + clarity.
  22. Hi everyone! I just bought a line 6 POD HD500X pedal and I've read some posts from this forum (http://line6.com/support/topic/1672-can-i-utilize-a-usb-3-cable-for-my-pod-x3/ http://line6.com/support/topic/8367-cant-install-drivers-for-pod-hd500x/) I actually have got the same problems as Miguel Marquez in the second post, but it has passed already a year and the thread is not answered. Ok, I only have 1 computer, and the problem (I think) is that all my USB ports are 3.0, but i would like to see what do you guys think, cause probably I may be wrong.
  23. Here is a video I just put up to YouTube using only the Pod HD Pro X for my guitar tone. It's a medley of songs from No Rest For The Wicked, No More Tears, and one from Ozzmosis. I put the patches up on Customtone for download. The links are in the video description. If you go to YouTube directly, you will get better quality. Thanks for watching!
  24. I love my POD Gx. But after an unexpected shutdown GX is malfunctioning. I have uninstalled and re-installed the driver many times. I had success two times but eventually it stopped working. The green light shows up sometimes but I can't see any input or hear any output. I hope settings are correct.. Please help
  25. Currently I have PodHd500X, Steinberg UR22 (audio interface) and Garageband. For recording, should I directly use the USB from POD into the computer? Or should I plug the output of the Pod to the input of UR22? Which method will give me better recording quality? If I use the UR22, is it better to use the balanced (XLR) output of the Pod or the unbalanced output? I tried messing around with both the methods but can't seem to distinguish much in quality. Your suggestion will be highly appreciated.
