  1. Hey, So bought a new Line 6 Variax 700. Love the tones. But when i connected it to my workbench i've had a strange problem. First let me explain how i connected it. Variax 700 electric to my pod xt live using a rj45 cable. Then, via usb to the computer. I have updated all my firmwares and software. Now, heres the strange thing. My guitar is detected via the pod xt live perfectly, but when i try to change a tuning the fret board works upside down. Eg. When i drop my lowest (6th string) To a D in order to make it a drop D tuning, it changes my highest string (The high E or 1st string) to a D. While the easy and obviously way to get over this is just find out how many frets to drop each string by. There is another issue. When i drop my highest string in the software (which is my lowest string in real life) The note doesnt transpose properly. I.e. it misses the note and buzzes and stuff like that. What is the problem. I'm pretty sure that if i fix my fretboard being upside down in the software, it'll fix the problem. P.S. I've reinstalled the firmwares and drives and tried the same thing on my laptop as well as desktop. PLEASE HELP! :( :( Thanks in advance.
  2. Hello Line6 Community. I need help with regards to my Line6 POD 2.0. I'm wondering if I can mimic the "multi-head" effect of the DL4 using my POD. If yes, how to tweak the settings of my POD manually to create that effect. (i dont use the sound editor). To fully-understand what I mean, please refer to the video at 01:48. . . Please advice. Thank you.
  3. Hey Line 6-ers. I've been a devotee for AGES, and I just thought I'd chime in on a Product I want to see Line 6 create. I Use a PODHD 500 for live gigs and have since they were released. I use the 4CM, and don't use any of the amp simulation. Because I love the sound of my amp. I've thought aboput trading across for an M13, since I only use the effects - but I still want/need for live gigs, the flexibility of more that 4 effects at once, and still flexible routing. AND 2 expression pedals like the old Flextone and Vetta Floorboards used to have. I thought it would be SICK to recommend a new product - and I'm interested to hear your suggestions for Line 6. Introducing - the M25PRO HD Stompbox Moddler. Features: - Up to 16 simultaneous FX, with flexible routing options. - Flexible FX Loop placement - Comprehensive I/O for live gigs - (FX Loop, ins/outs - pretty much like the M13) - Dual expression Pedals with Toe switch (Like POD HD) - Standard Line 6 Effects Selection (Everything that comes with M13) And here's the kicker: - Custom Effects: Kemper-style Profiling of your favorite pedals, and settings. So if you have vintage, or specific pedals you use, and you want to condense them into one device for a gig - you could record an IR of your own pedals and load them into the unit (Presumably 48 memory spots for custom effects.) I want one now. Grunge on! And don't say - Get an AxeFX...it's not the same thing. I don't want 8.5 million different amps, and effects and a $3500 price tag. But I'd easily pay $1000 - $1500 for a pedal board like this from Line 6.
  4. Hello everyone! I'm guitar player and I'd like to complain about the support of Line 6! I own an Line 6 JTV-59 and POD HD500.I bought the guitar because I saw many demos in YouTube and I really liked what I heard! At the time when I bought the guitar the latest firmware was 1.71 and I was amazed of the good sounding accoustic guitars (Exactly what I heard on YouTube)! I'd like to say, that I really love that guitar! For me JTV-59 is one of the best instruments now in the world,but...The guys from Line 6 decided to change the sound of the accoustic guitars in the next update of the firmware (I guess it was FW1.80 ) and that was a BIG problem for me!!! I really don't like the sound of the new accoustic guitars! There are a lot of people around the world who share my opinion too and there were at least 4-5 ideas in http://line6.ideascale.com from guitar players who wanted to have the old sound of the accoustic guitars! Now I'm stuck on FW 1.71 because I can't and I don't want compromise with the sound and because of that I can't use a lot of the new futures on my guitar in conjunction with POD HD500! I wrote 2 or 3 tickets,on that issue, but the guys from support center said to write this as an idea in http://line6.ideascale.com/,so I did it,but as you can guess with no success! So I'd like to say to the guys from support center one "BIG Thanks" just keep screwing up your customers...! P.S. I forgot to say, that I've suggested the guys just to give to their customers to choose which guitars to install when they upgrade to the new FW,or just to choose for example to keep the guitars from FW 1.71 , but to upgrade only the latest functions!
  5. I'm getting another head anyways, but I wanted to plug the cab in the the "headphone out" are in my amp, I tried it for 10 mins and the Celestion speaker in it sounds a wee bit better than the one in my Spider. My only concern is that it's a 40watt speaker and my amp is 75watts. Am I correct in assuming it will hurt my amp?
  6. Hey there, Before i bought a pod hd, i literally crawled through the web to see whether someone has experience in using the pod with a wireless and/or h&k switchblade combo and control everything with an mk2 shortboard. I didn’t find anything usefull so for anyone out there looking for this setup this is for you. First, my signal chain goes like this: >> XLR-Out >> Mic-In POD HD Pro Guitar >> Wireless Shure SLX14 >>FX Return H&K Switchblade Combo 50 (without -10db) >> Unbalanced Out >> LineL/Mono in POD HD Pro The Wireless is at -10db Mic-Input is at 100% (just to make the setup easier) Bass-Reduction is active -20db is active For the standard patches i use mainly only one pre-amp per patch. Several amps have very...i mean very low output (e.g. the VOX AC 30 TB) i try to figure out if this is my error or by design. Any tip is appreciated. The sound? it’s absolutely fantastic. Much more than i was hoping for. It was actually so good, that i put all my effect pedals aside and don't use a 4CM method. I didn't sell them yet, because the pod has to prove itself road-able. It’s in a SKB-Rack with short cables to the wireless, but it has to take some smashing and staking etc. so, we'll see. For high gains i use sometimes up to 2 noise gates (threshold lower than 40% to avoid weird sounds). The Switchblade is just set to the clean channel, with everything turned off, and the B/M/T/G are in middle position. Maybe you add a tick more presence, since this will give some more punch to the tone. And our technician showed me a glorious trick: If you would like to just add gain, but not volume, assign the drive to the exp. Pedal with your desired value in max. and min. then assign the output of the same distortion effect to the same exp. Pedal, but set the max.-value to e.g. 30% and the min. value to e.g. 100%. You need to twiddle a bit so you get the amount right. With that setup, you add gain and lower output and vice versa. Hope this helped. Cheers exile
  7. In the morning i just turned on the POD to play with my guitar for a bit and there was no heavy sound.I usually use my own and saved presets and it wasnt distorted.Sounded more like low volume overdrive.Really lollipopy sound.First i thought i was my guitar's active pickup battery. It wasnt.I changed cables i flashed the pod's memory and put it back on and nothing happend. Is there any explanation about what happened with it or what might cause the problem? Thank you in advance!
  8. So whenever I use two amps in a patch on the HD500, I am unable to pan them hard left and right for true stereo sound. I have the inputs setup like this: Input 1, Guitar; Input 2, Same. Both channels in the mixer are set at 0db, which is default. The left channel, or amp "a", will pan all the way left like it should, but the right channel, amp "b", will not pan hard right like it should. I remember when I first purchased the HD500 they would pan hard left and right just fine, but now they will not. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
  9. Hey, Just bought a POD X3 Live from a friend, he said his POD worked with the Monkey program. I have tried just about everything, but windows 7 doesn't recognize the pod, and Line6 monkey/gearbox say its not plugged in. Do I have to put the device in usb mode or something, what am I doing wrong. I really don't want to have to get my money back from this guy, this device is pretty cool... Thanks, godbless. Device: POD X3 LIVE OS: WIN7 64 BIT CPU: I5 3570 (3.8GHZ) GPU: HD 7750 RAM: 8GB 1600MHZ HD: 500GB, 250GB, 160GB
  10. Where is the demo of this amp? I know it's brand new, but I couldn't even find it on the Line 6 products page. Look under the Amps section (http://line6.com/products/# and http://line6.com/products/#category-amps): DT Series? Check; Spider Series? Check; Spidervalve MkII? Check; Amplifi? Ampifi??? Um...no. It's simply not there. But if you go to Products/Amps, you can find it. Looks like it's on the homepage as well. Good for me...or so I thought. The demo video which I was quite anxious to see and hear, will not play. Every time I hit the play button, I get an "error #2035" message. Next, I went to Youtube. After a protracted search, I finally found a small snippet of "demoing" on a NAMM video. Not enough to really give you a good snapshot of just what this amp sounds like and its capabilities. All told about 20 secs of a couple of guys jamming and that was it. After that I tried a Google search using the words "Line 6 Amplifi Demo," which yielded precisely nothing in terms of a demo of the amp. I'm like WTH? Where in God's name is it? You'd think if this new line is so great, there'd be demos out the wazzu of this thing prior to rolling it out. I want to hear the damn thing. Where are the cool demos of Line 6 legends, Joost Vergoosen and Sean Halley showing us what these amps can do? I'm amazed at the apparent gaping marketing hole left by Line 6 in its own product launch. If it's as amazing as Line 6 is telling me it is, then why can't I hear it? Geez c'mon guys; help me out here. I can't be the only one who's feeling the angst on this. The price is right; I just want to hear the amp....period. Please help a bruthuh out. This should be easy, right? Thanks.
  11. Hey guys, So i've had problems with my kb37 ever since I got it. First random shut downs then drop out of sounds with the guitar etc. To no avail i fixed them and so forth. This one i just cannot seem to make go away. Any time im playing recording or jamming or What ever! My Kb37 Kind of "Crashes" The sound of my guitar etc does not crash i can still hear my guitar if i play but it kind of freezes my computer and puts it in a state to where if i even try to play a video it will not play back the video or sound. I can open up Itunes and it will freeze my Itunes. I will thus try to shut down and will get Waiting for Windows to shut down Waiting for Log off sound to be played Making me have to hold down my power button to cut my pc off.
  12. So yesterday everything was working fine or rather this morning around 2am EST Now it is around 4pm est and i plugged up my guitar i usually ALWAYS keep my kb37 plugged into my laptop and never have had a problem I noticed my guitar was making a poping sound automaticly thinking it was the wires in the input where you connect the wire to your guitar i unscrewed it and checked it out. Unsure i put it all back together and tried another guitar and it did the same thing. So i thought it was the wires i have 3 wires and tried all 3 and the same thing happened for everything knowing it couldnt be the wires as 2 of the wires I Have never used with the Kb37 or never touched since i got them there could be nothing wrong with them as one of them was fairly new When playing i experience a popping or click noise every few seconds, then a drop out of sound like it had lost connection to my pc but it didn't. Clip lights never flashed or turned on. I assume its either the pod of my pc. my pc is going through some issues right now thinking that it could be the case but im not sure. *Issues with pc include ***stuck on "Waiting for page ()" sometimes having to shut down*** now also note that this does not happen when i use my kb37 as a sound card for my pc to say listen to music with speaker monitors i do not have drop outs. Only while using my guitar and PODfarm2 *Edit I've notice through songs i can hear the same pop sound but no drop outs.
  13. Hi, I'm wondering what customtones works with my Pod HD? Can I i.e download and use podxt's and Pod 2.0's customtones to my Pod HD? Or are the only customtones I can download and use with my Pod HD the customtones uploaded under the section Pod HD on line6's webbsite?
  14. Hi, I'm just wondering if I can download and use Podxt's costumetones with my Pod 2.0? Thanks!
  15. Hi there I'm running on Mac pro (desktop), with Jammit. I was trying to make a setup on the Mac using Jammit to start knocking down a track. I usually use Guitar rig either as standalone for rehearsal or through logic x for recording. This setup didn't work properly within Jammit. I noticed then this Line 6 mobile in. So this is for Iphone/Ipad giving you the same rig sound as the track you choose to buy and learn with jammit. I do not have iphone/ipad. What options do i have? I suppose the USB audio interfaces line 6 offer is not functioning same way as Line 6 mobile in, right? there is no way i can setup Line6 Mobil in to work with my Mac pro`? thanx.
  16. Hi guys I have a Spider IV and I like to play the bass, I had to sell it and I'm using the FX Pitch Glide to become my guitar into a bass, so do you guys think that my amp can be decomposed by using it as bass guitar?
  17. Hi. I always wanted to add some new effects to my loved spider valve, especially the octoverb and particle reverb, so, I buy a Line6 M5 and I want to show you how I use both together. Guitar -> Spider Valve -> preamp out -> M5 in -> M5 out -> power amp in MIDI = Spider valve midi out/thru -> M5 midi in. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7RfXpNYWew Sorry my english, is not my native lenguage. Bye
  18. This defect happens, well regularly. I will be jamming or listening to some music cause I do like to use my line 6 to plug up to some speakers, and just jam to songs. Now, once in a while it will basicly "shut down" the led lights for the clip dont flash and the meters still glow but do not recognize input sound. So once i unplug it from my pc and plug it back in the clip lights flash back and forth. Once this happens any other usb device such as a mouse etc will shut down as well. so im wondering is it the drivers? because it says its all updated and im not sure its really annoying.
  19. Hey guys, been having a lot of fun lately setting short loops on my Line 6 M9 and having them trail out like a delay pedal. This is instant fun and can bring out some cool creativity. Wanted to share the process with anyone who would like to try it as well. Should work on the M13 as well. The key is setting up the Looper settings. I have my Looper settings as follows: LPR Post Play: about 3/4 lit Overdub: about 1/3 lit No hi/low cut used at all This allows you to set short samples of loop and treat those like a delay trail. As long as you stay in "record/overdub" mode, your loops will trail out and only the most recent recordings will play back, just like a delay pedal. --------------------------------------- Here is a breakdown of how you can use the Looper/Delay functions: (1) Delay Time: the distance in time between your first tap on record and your second tap (2) Feedback: you can get more audible repeats by raising the "Overdub" level in settings (3) Delay Mix: you can adjust more/less mix by adjusting the "Play" level in settings (4) If you want infinite repeats or "hold" on a certain section -- just move from record/overdub to "Play." This will capture the last phrase length and allow you to just play dry over it without any repeats. (5) Using the Half/Speed and Reverse switches will bring in some interesting effects. If you record Half speed and toggle the switch, it will double the "repeats" and vice versa. Same with the reverse-- just remember, it is only affecting the last phrase you played. You can tap these buttons in-time with your tempo you're playing at for some cool effects. (6) Hitting "Play Once" will stop the loop/trails completely. If you want to fade out, just stay on "record/overdub" and hold your last chord. This will trail out like a delay. --------------------------------------- Happy Looping/Delaying!!
  20. I tried to log into my account until i finally gave up and made this one. every time i tried to access the forums I received a message saying. You're Almost There. Basically tell me i'm not even fully registered which I am. Can anyone tell me why this happens??
