  1. Hi there, I am currently using a UX8 into Logic Pro X for my recording needs. I had a Saffire Pro 40 for a while but then it died on me and I needed a quick backup. Turned out I really liked the UX8 in comparison. But I am now at the crossing point in which I could use some more inputs as I do full live recordings of bands and 8 inputs can easily be used on just my drum bus. I know within apple there is an ability to make an aggregate device and by plugging in two UX8's and making an aggregate device I could POSSIBLY solve my problems. Just wondering if anyone has done this or has a better way to do so. If I was using the saffire I could just hook up an ADAT interface and rout it through that way, but the UX8 lacks an ADAT input. Thanks in advance!
  2. I have read ALOT of reviews/comments on connectivity issues with LogicProX. My main concern and question is, how well does the POD HD PRO X work with Logic via USB? Reviews have said M-audio interfaces/devices are not recognized anymore with the current updates in place. I know M-Audio is a totally different brand than Line6, but i have read that other audio interfaces have had the same problem, Logic recognizes them as an output device not a input. I would hate to spend so much money on something that does not work properly or as desired. I know this could also be a question for the Logic forums, but I'm sure some one out there can help answer these questions.
  3. I am running a tone port ux2 into logic 9 on El Capitan (10.11.6) with the most recent driver update for everything. My computer and logic recognize my tone port ux2 as an interface, but no sound can be heard and the level needles are not moving. Any solutions? I guess I should note that my computer will not allow me to install gearbox, which seemed to be key in past operating systems. Thanks

    Helix and Logic

Is there a known clock issue using this with OSX? Logic sees the interface but loses clock after a couple of minutes (at least I assume that's what is making the audio all jittery and daleky) Does anyone use this with Logic with no issues?
  5. Hi, Searched before posting, couldn't find an answer so maybe someone can help. I have my XT Live connected by USB to my iMac running Snow Leopard, my monitor speakers are connected directly to the XT LIve outputs. I have my sound settings to use the XT Live as my audio output device. When I play through the XT, the sound is fine. When I hit the record button in Logic, I get really bad noise/distortion, which I also get when I play back the piece I recorded. If I change to using the built in speakers, the piece I just played doesn't have the noise, so this is definitely being generated somewhere between the computer and the XT. I have updated the all drivers for the XT, and also did a factory reset. Still the same problem. I've changed whatever various settings I can in both Mac Audio/MIDI Setup, Gearbox (record level) and the Line 6 Audio/MIDI settings in System Preferences etc. One thing I have noticed is that even though I can record into Logic, the level meters hardly move, I'm getting a very low signal - any idea why? Would really appreciate any help with this. Thanks
  6. Hello everyone, Is it possible to record bass guitar as midi in logic pro x? Thanks in advance for your advice ;)
  7. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but I updated all my software today through the Line 6 Monkey app, made a new tone, sounds great through my monitors (RCA from POD). Go into Logic Pro 9 and it's no longer receiving audio input. It recognizes the POD HD i/o as an option, and if I turn off the POD, Logic tells me an audio device has been removed - when I turn the POD back on, the POD HD options again become available for input and output - cool. So why when I hit the record icon on my track is there no input metering activity? It won't record any audio. Now that I think of it, I also upgraded from Yosemite to El Capitan OSX yesterday - driver incompatibility maybe? Things I've checked: - HD EDIT is not running (Read that could cause a conflict) - Logic Pro 9 is up to date - Volume is up - [R] icons are ON - [M] icon is OFF Any help is appreciated, thanks!
  8. So, I'm fairly new to recording. I just got an apple mac mini and I just installed Logic Pro X since it's really the only daw I've had any experience with. I really just need to know how to set up my POD HD Pro X to use as an interface. I hooked it up via USB and turned it on, but when I go in to the set output/input device, it doesn't show up as an option. I actually can't set the input to anything, only the output has the option to change. I've had the POD since Christmas, I haven't used it as anything other than an amp. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  9. i connect my pod500x to mac ,use logic to record.but when i just play or record, the amps and all the effects,eq etc are activated .i can disable it from the mixer bar.but the amp from gallery is still on,which changes the original sound coming from pod hd500x.therefore,i was wondering if there is a way to bypass the amp sound from logic,so i can record the exact sound coming from only my hd500x. can any one help with this please.
  10. Hi all, I'm going nuts trying to figure out why my computer will only recognize outputs 1-2 over USB audio. It started when I installed drivers on a brand new Mac running the latest version of Yosemite. On my old Mac, it had no problems recognizing all 8 outputs on the same version. I uninstalled drivers and reinstalled drivers and did everything short of a fresh Yosemite install to try to get it to work, but in both my DAW (Logic) and the system level Audio/Midi Inspector, it only shows outputs 1-2. I know another user on here has mentioned it in another thread--has anyone else encountered this and/or found a fix? I use multi-output to record and process wet and dry signals without having to screw around with latency issues, and this is killing my workflow.
  11. Hi fellas! , I want to thank you beforehand for any support I'll receive on this matter. :) thx! So, running logic and trying this time to make the podfarm sound solely in there- Everything works splendidly! Problem is- I use a laptop..I'm kind of a "on-the-run" type of guy- but even though this computer is authorized in the license manager, It won't load particular amps it seems... Wait, I think I just figured out my problem while typing this.... ....My PODXT came with the Power Pack...and I read somewhere that it's bound to the PODXT... ....I just bought the other packs recently, ....So, using a "Power pack" amp probably won't work unless the licensed PODXT is plugged in... Bing! Hey, that must be it...- better pre-record those Power Pack amps... I'll post this anyways- should someone run into the same "problem", perhaps another enlightenment will come out of reading what I just wrote :P Thanks, and perhaps- "you're welcome", and sorry if I wasted your time Oh, and any forum mod- I'd totally understand if you'd decide to delete this post  ..nice smileys btw Freakface
  12. hi there, i am trying to play my guitar on the macbook pro using pod farm 2.5 and guitar link ucg102 to connect the guitar to the mac, the problem is when i open the stand-alone pod farm and i select the ucg as my input device and the the macbook speaker as output and i apply the setting, i hear nothing, there is no signal... nothing and when i come back to the preferences, i then find as in the second picture, that the selected settings from before are blank now! and i have to select again! where is the problem exactly? ps: pod farm as a plugin is working fantastically in garabeband and logic pro!
  13. I'm new to this forum and I hope someone can help. So I'm getting a static/buzz sound when I record with my pod hd pro in GarageBand and Logic. I'm connected via USB and when I physically lay down a guitar track it sounds fine. But when I play the track back there's a static/buzz sound. This happens in both GarageBand and Logic Pro. I've done lots of recording before with the line 6 ux8 and have had no issues with either program. Is there's a problem with my pod? Some help would be much appreciated. Thx
  14. This is probably a stupid question but since upgrading to Farm 2.5 I can no longer control Logic's Play/stop functions with the Space Bar (Mac 10.6 and 10.8) if the focus is on Farm. This was not the case in the previous version 1.xx Thank you.
  15. Whenever I play my guitar straight from Pod Farm (Pod UX2) into logic there is no problems but when I use it as an Audio Unit / Plugin it seems to have like no noise gate and come out extremely sloppy and you hear everything like slightly sliding my hand up and down the fretboard. Also if I unplug my Pod UX2 the license is not there and I can't use any pod plug ins. Thanks.
  16. Hello, first I would like to appologize, I am asking this on behalf of a friend whom is Japanese, and can not make this post in English. Please understand I am translating this for him. I'm 99% sure I am getting this all correctly. I am familar with audio equipment to some degree, but not to the extent that I can help my friend. He is using MacBook/Apple 10.6.8 and is running Logic Pro 9, and would like to use POD FARM 2 together with the MBV EXPRESS MKII. When he launchs POD FARM as a stand alone application while the MBV is connected he is able to effect the controller pedal and see the desired affect inside the application. i.e. He physically moves the pedal with his foot and the pedal is seen as moving inside the app. However, when he launches the plugin within Logic, the physical pedal does not affect the pedal within the plugin. Instead on whatever track is slected the fader is manupilated. It seems that Logic is recievcing MIDI data instead of the POD FARM plugin. Thank you for your help!
  17. Though I'd reignite this thread: http://line6.com/support/thread/70425 And ask if anyone who had this problem knows if it goes away in Logic Pro X? I really can't go through the pain of installing it and it not working again - over the last two years I've done that too many times.
  18. Hi everyone ! I am an old user of Line6 products. I have a USB2 Toneport UX2 (the old one, red). I use it on my Macbook with Logic for recording. I have GearBox and Pod Farm on my computer. I'd like to have Pod Farm 2, but it seems I can't have it for free, because I bought this Toneport few years ago. Am I wrong ? So I use Logic for recording. I record guitar and bass without any effects or amp, and I add them after. I use plugin for that. Is there a way to use Pod Farm as a plugin ? I tried Pod Farm 2, I can add plugin on my track, but the software needs to be activated, wich I can't do because I didn't buy it (too expensive and Pod Farm is good enough). So, what should I do ? Thanks !
