  1. Hi there guys, I'm running a pod UX2 through a mac running OS X. I have installed all necessary updates except for Line 6 monkey, which refuses to update to v1.73 from v1.72. I have tried updating it from the automatic update notification on startup, from within monkey as well as through a manual download from line6.com. In all cases, the file downloads and installs, but just reinstalls v1.72. Any advice? Thanks in advance. Wrecktangular
  2. Hi everybody, hope you can help me. I've been trying to update my Helix LT to the firmware 2.60, but every time I try it says "There is no application set to open the document “Helix_LT_v2_60_0_bundle (8).hxf”." I have already updated to the latest edition of HX Edit and I've tried manually to try and open the document with the HX Edit, but it wont allow it. Any clues to what I should do? (I have a iMac) Kind regards, Simon
  3. i just bought pod farm 2.5 im using mac osx 10.12.6 running fl studio 12 I have installed pod farm ran line 6 monkey and updated everything registered and authorized my ux2 authorized my mac I have no issues with it as a stand alone
  4. After 8 years really good working my UX2, after Mac Os reinstall to new hard drive, won't get a licence for a pod farm( everything else works well like outputs inputs and drivers). It says to reconnect usb cable(replace 2 of them already) or connect to support. Error code 8000710B. ESN :None Latest drivers, monkey and licence manager. Screenshots on attach. need help
  5. Finally installed gearbox on High Sierra... And it's working 100% Here's what I did. Download Gearbox 3.72 DMG Double click on the DMG package VIEW PACKAGE CONTENTS by: Right clicking on the Package Icon Left clicking 'View Package Contents' Double Click on Contents Double Click on Packages FOR EACH PACKAGE: Right Click the package and Select open. This will run the installer for the individual package Some packages may not install properly, but don't worry... NOW CHECK THAT EACH PACKAGE INSTALLED CORRECTLY For each Package: Right Click and view package contents (see above) Navigate to the folder /Content/Resources/english.lprog/ Double click on the file the ends with .info This should open as a text file. In the text file will be information about where the contents of the package were supposed to be installed. Make a note of the location Navigate to the folder /Content/Resources/ and double click on the .gz file Copy the extracted file Navigate to the target location you made a note of above If the file isn't there, paste it to that location Reboot the machine Open Monkey, and get and the latest driver. After you install the latest driver, make sure Monkey can see your POD. Open System Preferences: Under Security and Privacy General tab, if there is an exception for the line 6 package, click to allow it Make sure the Line 6 Audio Midi Tab is also there Now you should be good to go... The biggest problem I had initially was Gearbox saying that the driver for the X3 was incompatible or something like that... It turns out that the Gearbox uses 2 drivers... The first is the MIDI driver, which its happy to use the latest and greatest downloaded via Monkey. The second is the Audio Driver... The Audio driver was one of the things that didn't install properly when I installed each package... Someone else may want to make a more concise set of instructions... I spent a while messing with this... The really neat thing though are the .info files because they tell you what is supposed to be installed and where. Oh and if you can't see the Library folder(s) you may need to right click in finder and tell it to let you see it... Or you might have to do something at the Command Prompt... I am pretty sure I enables all of that on my MAC way back, and I can't remember exactly how you do it.
  6. Hi I bought a Line 6 Variax Standard about a year ago, I have got a 2011 Macbook Pro running OSX 10.7.5 and yet I cannot get the guitar to talk with either Monkey or Workbench. Each time it gets to the update section in Monkey it freezes then crashes. Any ideas? One side of the USB interface is green, but the side where the guitar plugs in has a red light. 7. Hello Line6, I am French, so i'm trying to explain my problem in English... I just bought the Helix, test it, and i can say that it's really good ! :D But when i wire it to my Mac with USB, and Line6 app installed, every thing works fine, but about 1 minute later, the sound that output from the Mac has about 5 to 10 seconds of latency... I check from my Mac system parameter, and the audio level output is showing that latency, so i think it's a Helix problem... I wire my head head phones to the "Phone" output of the Helix (with USB wire still in the Mac), and i can hear that there is no more lantency in the headphones... I installed the last updates from the Line6 Updater app (Last update that i can find on 25 february 2018), but i experienced same problem. I check in the Line6 forum for any post that can explain that, but i didn't found any answer. So, I post this because I don't know if i missed changing some configurations and/or parameters to avoid this latency/get a workaround... Here are some informations : Mac : MacOSX High Sierra 10.13.2 (17C88) I you want some other informations, just let me know ! Hope you can help, Thank you for your support, and see you later !
  8. Hello there. I suspect that the Sonic Port and Sonic Port VX are basically the same device under the hood. Anyway, since the plug for the Port is basically an USB I think if we connect the item to mac using a female lightning to male usb cable the Mac will recognize the device. This cable is for example this : https://www.amazon.com/TechMatte-Apple-Pencil-Charging-Female/dp/B01D5NR70E Now, does anyone have such cable and the sonic port and would or have tried to check if this works?
  9. Salut a tous. Merci d'avance.
  10. Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum and joined just after buying a jtv-69 used. It came with a battery and a charger, but no digital interface in the case. So my question is: what exactly is needed in order to connect it to my macbook and eventually to workbench hd? will a regular ethernet cable work? do I have to use the line6 cable? even on that cable, it's written that it's meant for digital connection to a PodXT and the like - so I'm not sure that this is meant to be used to connect the guitar to a computer. Maybe it's mentioned somewhere but I honestly could not find the complete info. is the "DVI" the cable itself? or some kind of a converter/adapter? assuming I have the line6 cable, does it connect to a usb or the ethernet port? how does this chain look exactly? If you could help a newbie I would be very grateful!
  11. Hello, When I launch my Cubase 5 on my mac with El Capitan, I have no audio input or output working with the Helix as usb interface. SInce Helix kinda works with Garage Band (with the beta for developpers 10.11.2 (Build 15C48a)), and since I can use Cubase 5 with a Roland Capture Duo EX USB interface (with and only with the same new 10.11.2 build), I suspect that my issue comes from Cubase 5 or Apple El Capitan which for some reason cannot interface well with Line 6 Helix. So I have 2 questions: @Line 6 : do you have any information regarding using Helix with Cubase on the latest Mac El Capitan OS? @Forum : Are there other people here who manage to use any version of Cubase (say 5 to 8) with the Helix on Mac OSX ? Thanks to all, Regards
  12. Simple question here. I have a really awesome set of bluetooth headphones and just bought a Pod UX1 to compliment my Spider Valve MKII. I have opened Logic Pro X and also tried Garageband and noticed latency. I also noticed that Pod Farm will not work with the BT headphones at all. Like the original question asks, is latency avoidable? Also, is it possible to get Pod Farm to see the BT headphones. System is a MacBook Pro 2.8GHz i7 with 16GB RAM. Thanks everyone.
  13. HELLO LINE 6 BUDDIES! I'm two-track recording an acoustic guitar with my POD HD500X as the audio interface. I have a RODE NT1A condenser mic plugged into a mixer with phantom power. This mixer is then connected to the POD's 'Guitar In' input via guitar lead, and there is also an acoustic guitar connected to the 'AUX' input for a direct signal. This is all running through Logic Pro X on my Macbook Pro (Early 2015) with 16GB RAM. I have used this setup before and it has all worked fine, except today I am hearing intermittent static coming from both inputs at seemingly random intervals. It sounds like a short burst of a bitcrusher-like sound, and then goes back to normal after less than a second. It can't be any problem with the mic/mixer because I am getting the problem on AUX (direct input) as well as the Guitar In (mic) input. I have tried different USB cables, and have tried different power outlets. I have also tried a different audio interface (that can unfortunately only handle one input) that didn't seem to have the same problem, leading me to think that it also isn't an issue with Logic Pro X... SO... Has this happened to anyone before, and can anyone think of any reason this might be happening? Yeah, I've turned it off and on again ;)
  14. I was happy to see that Line 6 finally added a computer-based version of the Spider V Remote app so that I can dig in deeper on my computer screen and change tones while using a DAW. There was also talk in the email that I received of downloading new tones from the customtone.com website to upload and use in the app. I have not found this to be true. The customtone page does not list the Spider V and when I try and download a tone I get a message that says "Valid product registration or software purchase required to use CustomTone. I have registered my Spider and so this message is quite confusing Love my Spider but please work out the kinks.
  15. Hi I can't seem to get my setup to work I purchased Pod Farm 2,5 Platinum standalone to use with my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 v2 USB but when I try to set it up Pod Farm doesn't recognize the inputs. I can manually select the hardware to tell Pod to "use this device" but to no avail. I can get my interface to work well with Logic Pro X and GarageBand but I really wanted to to back to Pod Farm for versatility's sake on tone, and it's such a letdown that I can't get this to work at all. Anyone know how to fix this problem? Because I've tried EVERYTHING that the manual says setupwise and I'm starting to feel like I've spent 250 bucks for nothing and this thing doesn't work on Mac as advertised on standalone with this interface. I'd appreciate some help on this. Thanks in advance.
  16. The title said it all, i tried to change the sample rate via audio-midi setup, the audio settings and through multiple DAWs (in Ableton the 44,1khz setting is greyed out, in pro tools im not able to open the projects which are in 44,1 and in logic pro x it works to change the sample rate but i would prefer not using logic). So only 48000 Hz works on my Amplifi TT. This is really annoying do anyone know how to change this? Thanks for your help!
  17. Hey everyone. I got a POD X3 bean and a M-Audio UNO MIDI-USB interface and i'd like to connect them to my computer (which is a Mac). However, as far as I'm concerned, the X3 bean does not have a MIDI output/input (which is kind of odd since the lower-end POD 2.0 does) and I'm trouble here.. What I want to do is very simple: just use my headphones to listen to what i'm playing in my guitar through the POD and to music playing from my computer at the same time. If I connect my headphone to the headphone jack in my POD and connect the POD to my Mac directly via USB, I can use the POD as my soundcard, right? So any sounds coming from the computer would be played through the POD to my headphones in the same way my guitar playing would, right? Most of the time I'm just playing along songs I have here, and if i can just play something on iTunes and hear it on the same headphone I'm using with my POD that would be great, it would solve most of my problems. With this can I also record stuff (simple stuff, just using GarageBand or whatever...)? And I'd also like to know if there is any way around this MIDI problem with the X3.. I figured the MIDI would be a good way to control the POD via computer. Using direct USB connection, I cannot control the pod using the computer, right? Bummer... Is there anything I can do to this? Thanks!
  18. I'm using the latest updates on OSX, drivers, softwares and helix and you know, everything. When reamping helix in logic the audio starts to cut and pop and mess up after a while. First a little and gradually more and more. It helps when I initialize the core audio from preferences > audio settings. The I/O buffer is at full 1024 Why do I have to keep doing this? It does kill the workflow and sometimes recording the reamp is ruined.
  19. Hi all, First question posed to the Line 6 forums. Apologies if this topic has come up before but couldn't find it on here. I've recently bought a new iMac and wanted to install my Line 6 UX2. It was previously installed on my old computer (now dead). This iMac doesn't have a CD drive so I downloaded Pod Farm from the software section of this site. When it comes to installing said software and choosing where you want it to be installed it says that 'POD Farm can't be installed on this disk', despite this being a new machine and the HD having over 3TB of free space. And there is nowhere else you can select for the software to be installed. Has anybody encountered this before? And if so is there a solution? Many Thanks Mark
  20. Hi, Recently I updated my system to a beta version of mac osx sierra and because of this I'm unable to use my pod hd bean. Line 6 Monkey is able to determine the device and shows options to update drivers. After updating the drivers there is an automatic restart and line 6 Monkey shows me the same old driver and gives an option to update. Have tried installing the drivers manually from the line 6 website but still the same issue. It is not possible now to downgrade the mac to older OS. Any help appreciated. Thanks!
  21. Hello dear users, Do one of you know a proper way to unplug the Line 6 Pod Studio (UX2) from a Mac ? Because sometimes it cause a crash, and restart the computer. Thank you in advance !
  22. I just installed Vyzex onto a 2012 MBP running El Cap. Plugged the guitar cable in, plugged the USB into the rear USB port. The Computer reports new midi ports available. My Pocket POD did not power up (it was working minutes before). Vyzex asks me to configure midi ports. Then offers a grey screen/window. LED next to TAP button flashes every second or so. Unit is otherwise dead. After removing the USB and powering the POD down, re-inserting the Guitar cable now cannot wake/boot the pod. The TAP light still flashes and is responsive to tap timing changes. Phones with a guitar in are dead apart from a faint "machine" hum. Tried factory reset. Nada. Any ideas on what to do next? The PPod is relatively new and the software undoubtably affected it.
  23. I'm using the Multi-output to USB and I notice that my dry signal is always coming through on the right channel. Even when my volume pedal is at 0% and my XLR outs are quiet, the dry signal still comes in over USB. Has anyone else observed this on their Macs? I've tried both custom and factory patches, and they both have this issue.
  24. I have An Apple MacBook Pro i7, running El Captain 10.11.6. I recently upgraded to El Captain and did not have any issues using GearBox with Yosemite. If I launch GearBox without my TonePort UX2 plugged into the USB, GearBox will start up just fine but when I plug the USB in for my UX2 I get the pinwheel of death. If I launch GearBox and have my UX2 plugged in before i launch, it gets stuck on "Initializing DSP" I downloaded POD Farm 2 and it woks but only in a trial capacity as I have not purchased the program, but it does works with Garageband. I can launch Garage Band and use my TonePort and the effects Garage Band has pre installed. All my drivers are up to date according to Monkey. It all seems to revolve around GearBox. Any known solutions to this?
  25. Anyone on MacOS 10.11.4 experiencing this? I know the Helix is connected and I know that the Mac sees it but the editor (almost always) shows this message. I opened a ticked with Line6 Support but I figured I would check if anyone else is having this problem and have a workaround.
