  1. Hello I have a problem. My Pod hd500 does not respond to changes in volume. I have the same volume in this state and in this OS X Maverics. I hope for your help.
  2. Hi, Just bought an HD500X and was under the impression that it could export the Midi-in port to my software. I haven't been able to do that and then I realized that it could be used exclusively to control patch changes etc. for the POD. So my question is - is it possible to setup so midi messages appearing on midi in are seen by the driver? (My use case is that I have a midi keyboard but no (reliable) midi input for the computer and I would like to use midi to control a software piano (Steinberg, The grand)) Anyone can offer some help? I'm using a fairly recent Macbook Pro retina display. Kind regards, /Daniel
  3. Hello There, I haven't been able to connect my POD XT to my Mac using the USB cable. Tried using Monkey and it doesn't recognize the drivers. They download from the server, and install, but after the computer restarts it's doesn't see the drivers. The screenshot shows the Line 6 Monkey. Tried different USB cables, different versions of drivers and different versions of the monkey software. Please help me out!
  4. hi there, i recently bought a behringer guitar link ucg102 for my macbook pro as a guitar interface, it works fine with garageband but i want it to work with pod farm 2.56 platinum, if i go to the settings and then hardware and then choose the behringer as my input device under "use this device" and then click ok nothing happens .. i mean there is still no guitar sound and when i go back to the hardware settings i find that the settings "use this device" disappeared and i have to choose my device again ... can anyone help me? that would be nice! one thing aslo, does pod farm 2.5 support retina displays?
  5. Hi, I have recently moved from PC to mac OSX. I used to use Cubase and Reason on PC but am wondering what would be the best program to invest in for Mac... I use the TonePort UX8. I am thinking Audition CC. Does anyone know if there will be any hiccups or if something else is best suited? I can get a good deal on Audition CC so thats why i'm considering it... Any guidance will be appreciated! Thanks, Dean
  6. Hello all, Currently, I have been recording some songs on my UX2 and everything is turning out pretty good. The program I'm using at the moment is GarageBand (might get Reaper) and I have questions regarding the program and recording. 1) How do I go about recording vocals and guitar at the same time BUT on separate tracks? (if that makes any sense at all, the weird diagram down there should 'hopefully' explain my objective). |Guitar|~~~~~~~ |Vocals|~~~ ~~ 2) What my problem is, is that I record the both the guitar and vocals but the two come out on the same track. I have even tried making a separate track (like the diagram up there) and I still get the same result. What am I doing wrong and what do I need to fix? Multi-tracking didn't work either but I assume I'd still need to multi-track if I'm going to record vocals and guitar at the same time, right? 3) I usually mic up the guitar as well, but am I better off just putting the guitar into the UX2's input? If there is a link that answers this question, by all means share. Thank you in advance :)
  7. I have a Spider Valve MKII and I want to record my guitar during band practice to my iPad or Macbook. I have an iRig however I definately some other interface. What are my choices? Basically, recording from my guitar to the iPad is how the iRig is designed so I need to add my amp to the equation. Any help is greatly appreciated, Thank you.
  8. This is probably a stupid question but since upgrading to Farm 2.5 I can no longer control Logic's Play/stop functions with the Space Bar (Mac 10.6 and 10.8) if the focus is on Farm. This was not the case in the previous version 1.xx Thank you.
  9. i keep trying to download, or rather "get tone" from custom tone, and it keeps prompting me with "There is no application set to open the document “Streets Have No Name.hre".". Am i missing something simple here? because out of all the tutorials I've seen, the computer recognizes the file as a tone, or whatever. Ive downloaded all i can from line6 monkey. I'm running a mid 2012 MacBookPro with OS X 10.8.5
  10. I am trying to hook up my computer for the first time to board. Plug the USB cable in but the board doesn't recognize it. I am using a Macbook Pro running Mavericks. What am I doing wrong. Can't update Line 6 Monkey because no matter what update I run it asks me to run it again. Help. Not what I signed up for. And is there an editor for the Spider Mark II here somewhere?
  11. Has anyone here upgraded their Mac OSX system to "Maverick" yet ? and is it compatible with POD HD?
  12. Hey interweb. I recently updated Garageband, and now Pod Farm doesn't work. The old Pod Farm that's free, cause I'm cheap and it's been working great for me anyway. Anyway, when I first open up Garageband it tells me that the Pod Farm plug-in isn't available on my system. But it is, it's - it's right there. So then, when I open up the AU list, I can see that the Pod Farm options are there, but when I go to open them I get this error: "Failed to load Audio Unit, please contact the manufacturer for an updated version or further assistance. (-10110)" So. Will there be an update to Pod Farm 1.12 for Mavericks and Garageband 10 compatibility? Or am I now finally forced to get Pod Farm 2?
  13. Getting a weird modulated vibrating echo when playing bass through garageband while use the UX1 as midi input. Problem occurs off and on. Tried different cables and different amps through garageband. Some times happens to guitar as well. Using PodFarm 2.56 and all drivers have been updated
  14. I'm having issues with volume from different sources back to the headphones out on my hd500x. I would like to simultaneously output to headphones attached to the hd500x: Guitar (guitar in on hd500x) Mic (mic xlr in on hd500x) Mac Mini (via USB to hd500x) including iTunes, drum machine software, recording software Occasionally, iPad drum machine (via CD/MP3 In) The problem is all volume levels coming from my Mac are unbearably loud. I've tried dropping my Mac volume controls as low as possible but it takes away all balancing control. My volume and master volume and guitar volumes are all set at near max volume. I have looked for input volume options on both the hd500x and my mac to no avail. Any help is appreciated. My only thought at this point is to get a second mixer to run the Mac and HD500x through and then plug the headphones or monitors into that. Thanks, Scott
  15. I haven't used the UX2 for over a year. I have a new Mac and use Garageband. I have downloaded everything new that I can from the Line6 site - Gearbox, Monkey, drivers. Admittedly, I don't really know what Monkey or drivers means, but I've installed everything that I can and tried to follow instructions. No luck. The UX2 red lights are now solid, not flashing, but no sound comes through. Gearbox doesn't recognise it - there is a flashing usb plug symbol. Garageband doesn't recognise it - there's no options for it in the Preferences. Can anyone help? Cheers, Rasjad
  16. Hello Everyone, my first time posting to the forums. I've done a quick search on this and haven't found anything that gave any answers to my question....but sorry if this has been already answered and I just overlooked it. Anyway.... I recently purchased a Spider Jam combo amp and been trying to figure out how to connect the damn thing to my brand shiny new Macbook Pro? Do I need to go through the SD Card, or is there some sort of wires/cables like USB I could use? As for software on my Mac (OS X 10.8.4), for right now I'm just gonna use Garage Band. Mainly what I'm hoping to do is record my guitar to some of the backing tracks provided on the amp, and then share them with my Guitar Instructor. Any help or info about this would be greatly appreciated :)

  18. I just got the POD Studio UX2 as a gift, and have been very excited to use it. Unfortunately, after setting it up onto my MacBook Pro, it hasn't been working right. I downloaded POD Farm and all of the software I needed, authorized my laptop and UX2, as well as installed all the drivers with Monkey so it's up to date. When I plug my UX2 into my MacBook, and my strat into my UX2, its two dials will light up fine, and POD Farm picks up the guitar's signal (I can tune it and the output meters will jump around when I strum). The problem is that it stops working after that. I get no sound out of POD Farm or any recordings I make on Garageband. When I use Garageband to record a line, sometimes it will pick up the guitar from the UX2, sometimes it won't, but regardless, no sound will play back when the UX2 is plugged in or unplugged. I have watched a few videos on setting up the UX2, and followed the instructions, which make perfect sense, but I'm still not getting results. I have switched the preferences on Garageband so that the UX2 is selected for audio output and input. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! I just want to get to recording some music
  19. Q: I am receiving a java error when I try to run Line 6 Edit 3.0 or Workbench 1.5 on Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7/8? A: Line 6 Edit and Workbench require Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5 to operate correctly, and will experience a "Java Error" if JRE 5 is not detected on the computer. You can manually download and install JRE 5 from the following location on the Sun Microsystems website: JRE 5.0 Update 22 Download Page . Please note: This workaround pertains to 32 bit Windows OS installations only and will not work with 64 bit Windows OS installations. The Mac legacy installers are found at https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572?locale=en_US
  20. I am running Mac OS 10.7.5. I would like to buy a new Line 6 Pod Studio UX1 or UX2, but have read about compatibility issues. Can anyone confirm for me whether the products in question will run with 10.7.5 (Lion). thank you
  21. I just got the Studio GX unit. The USB one. Cool ... installed the Farm software, and it's running fine when I play guitar. But then I put the guitar away and decided to get on with some work. Figured I'd play my iTunes through the POD device as it's output to the speakers. It keeps stuttering and cutting out for a split second here and there. I'm using the following Brand new installation (done this morning) of Mac OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3. ALL the latest updates done from Apple. Apple Macbook Pro with Retina. 2.6ghz Quad Core i7, 16GB Ram, 512GB SSD. Barely anything on it. All drivers are the latest from Line 6 website. I do not understand why it's so juddery. I'm a designer and using Photoshop, yet I was using an M-Audio Fasttrack (just as cheap!) before and it never once stuttered on me no matter what I threw at it. All I'm doing is listening to songs in iTunes. Any ideas? Is anyone else aware of this problem? It's put a bad taste in my mouth and part of me is worried I bought it.... Thanks!
  22. Howdy Folks, I've had this issue for a while (1 year +), but recently bought a new Mac which I was hoping would solve it, however, no solutions as yet. I'm using a Toneport UX8 with a 2013 iMac, along with Pod Farm 2.5. My preferred Audio Format is 48khz, yet when I go into the Audio/MIDI set up on OSX and change the default to 48khz, it does not save and every time I reboot the computer I have to reset it to my preferred choice. Does anyone have a solution to this yet? Cheers, ED.
  23. Starting with Mac OS X driver 5.1.2, our Mac drivers for our products are compatible with Intel Macs only. Unfortunately, it isn't practical for us to continiue to support platforms such as Power PC that the manufacturer (Apple) no longer supports. Please continue to use driver 4.7.1 for Power PC systems (last driver release for Power PC systems). We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
