  1. I just got the Studio GX unit. The USB one. Cool ... installed the Farm software, and it's running fine when I play guitar. But then I put the guitar away and decided to get on with some work. Figured I'd play my iTunes through the POD device as it's output to the speakers. It keeps stuttering and cutting out for a split second here and there. I'm using the following Brand new installation (done this morning) of Mac OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3. ALL the latest updates done from Apple. Apple Macbook Pro with Retina. 2.6ghz Quad Core i7, 16GB Ram, 512GB SSD. Barely anything on it. All drivers are the latest from Line 6 website. I do not understand why it's so juddery. I'm a designer and using Photoshop, yet I was using an M-Audio Fasttrack (just as cheap!) before and it never once stuttered on me no matter what I threw at it. All I'm doing is listening to songs in iTunes. Any ideas? Is anyone else aware of this problem? It's put a bad taste in my mouth and part of me is worried I bought it.... Thanks!
  2. Howdy Folks, I've had this issue for a while (1 year +), but recently bought a new Mac which I was hoping would solve it, however, no solutions as yet. I'm using a Toneport UX8 with a 2013 iMac, along with Pod Farm 2.5. My preferred Audio Format is 48khz, yet when I go into the Audio/MIDI set up on OSX and change the default to 48khz, it does not save and every time I reboot the computer I have to reset it to my preferred choice. Does anyone have a solution to this yet? Cheers, ED.

Deutsch Français To uninstall the Line 6 Drivers from a MAC OSX computer, use the Line 6 Driver Uninstaller that is located on the computer at following file location: Applications/Line 6/Drivers/Driver uninstaller If you have used the Driver Uninstaller and still cannot succesfully install drivers or Monkey is not recognizing them as being installed, you will need to remove the remaining driver receipts using the Terminal application that is located on the computer at the following file location: Applications/Utilities Launch the Terminal application and type the following commands at the prompt: sudo pkgutil --forget com.line6.driver.xtaudio.package (then press the enter key) Enter your Mac OSX account password. Please Note: you will NOT see the cursor acknowledge any characters being input; you will need to type your system password correctly and hit "Enter". sudo pkgutil --forget com.line6.driver.xtmidi.package (then press the enter key) After entering in all of the commands above, close the Terminal application and restart your computer. Upon restarting the computer try again to install the latest version of our drivers available from our software page at: http://line6.com/software/ After the computer has restarted, reconnect the Line 6 hardware and open the Line 6 Monkey application again to check and see if your drivers are detected and up to date. Nachdem Sie ihn neugestartet haben können Sie noch einmal versuchen die neuste Version der Treiber zu installieren. Laden Sie diese hier herunter: http://de.line6.com/software/ Nachdem Sie Ihren Computer neugestartet haben können Sie Ihr Gerät wieder mit dem Computer verbinden, Line 6 Monkey öffnen und überprüfen ob Ihre Treiber auf dem neusten Stand sind. By default, all .h5e files are saved to: - Mac® - /Documents/Line 6/Tones/POD HD500 Edit folder - Windows® - \My Documents\Line 6\Tones\POD HD500 Edit folder It is also possible to drag any Preset directly from the main Presets Panel or Set Lists View and drop it onto your Desktop, or into any folder on your computer to copy it there. Or, select multiple Presets to drag and Save copies of each in one drop! To Save a Bundle to your Computer: - Go to the File menu and select ‘Save Bundle As’ to launch a ‘Save As’ dialog, where you can enter a name and choose any folder to save the Bundle file. To Open a Preset, Bundle or Set List File from your Computer Opening any of these files loads the file Preset(s) into the editor application. Note that these are loaded in the application as ‘edited’ and the Preset title and settings on your connected POD HD500 are not overwritten until you choose to ‘send’ them to your device, as described below. To open a Preset - Select ‘Open’ from the application’s File menu and browse to the location where your Preset (.h5e) files are stored (the default Preset folder locations are shown above). Selecting a Preset file loads its saved settings, replacing the currently loaded Preset and its Channel location within the application. To open a Bundle - Select ‘Open Bundle’ from the application’s File menu and browse to the location where your Bundle (.h5b) files are stored (the default Bundle folder locations are shown above). Selecting a Bundle file loads its full set of all 8 Set Lists and their Presets, replacing all the currently loaded Presets within the application. To open a Set List - Select ‘Open Set List’ from the application’s File menu and browse to the location where your Set List (.h5s) files are stored (the default Set List folder locations are shown above). Selecting a Set List file loads its full set 64 Presets, replacing all the currently loaded Presets within the currently loaded Set List within the application. Alternatively, you can drag a Preset, Bundle or Set List file from any folder on your computer and drop it directly in the POD HD500 Edit window to load the file’s settings. (Dragging and dropping a Preset or Set List replaces the currently loaded Preset or Set List in the application.) Use the Save Panel options to ‘Send’ the desired Selected Presets/Set List/All to your connected POD HD500 device’s internal memory. This action permanently overwrites the respective Presets within your device’s internal memory. Ouvrir un Set List : Cliquez Open Set List dans le menu File et cherchez pour la liste. (vous pouvez trouver le dossier par défaut des listes au-dessus) et double-cliquez-la. Vous pouvez aussi glisser-déposer tous ces fichier directement dans l’application. Si vous glissez-déposez un fichier comme ça, le preset ou set liste présent dans l’application est écrasé. Maintenant, vous pouvez utiliser les options Save Panel pour envoyer (« Send ») les presets et listes à l’appareil POD HD500. Cette action écrase le preset dans la mémoire de votre POD HD en permanence.

The KB37 will be able to send and receive MIDI CC information and process audio input and output across the USB connection to the host computer. Q: What are the knobs in the center top of the keyboard for? A: They are 4 software-assignable MIDI Continuous Control parameter knobs with 4 soft-buttons and a dedicated set of MIDI transport controls. The KB37 can control assignable MIDI parameters in most software synthesizer/samplers on the market today, along with most digital audio recording application sequencer track transport controls. Note: The KB37 does not have any of it's own onboard sounds. It is a MIDI controller that sends MIDI data to the computer and any installed MIDI software synthesizer/sound software. In order to set the control on the KB37 itself you will need to go to: Line 6 Audio Midi Devices in your Control Panel and select the MIDI tab. Setting Up The KB37 To Control Reason First, ensure that you have downloaded and installed the latest version of Line 6 Monkey. Run it and verify that your TonePort KB37 is running the latest driver, firmware and flash memory. Download the latest version of GearBox application and install it to your computer. Launch the "Line 6 Audio-MIDI Devices" program from the Line 6/Tools folder. Next, make sure the KB37 is the active device. Select the MIDI tab and from the drop-down list of Controller Mapping applications, select Reason (version #). You are now ready to use the KB37's transport, Sound Select and 4 assignable real-time parameter controls with Reason. Keep in mind that you will be using the default parameter control settings. With TonePort devices, Lock Format will lock that hardware to the given sample rate. If ASIO software asks for a different sample rate, our driver will perform the necessary Sample Rate Conversion. ASIO Settings: The ASIO Settings section are the displayed settings of what you are actually running your ASIO driver at. From the Gearbox Manual page 3.3/3.4 ASIO Client: If you are running audio software that is using this Line 6 device as its ASIO sound card, the name of the software will appear here. If not in use by an ASIO software, none is displayed here as shown. Default Buffer Size: The ASIO buffer size in use. Note this field is only active when in use by an ASIO application. As your audio software documentation will likely tell you, the ASIO Buffer Size will affect the responsiveness and latency of the audio. The lower the setting, the faster the response, but with the trade-off of higher processor usage and the risk of audio dropouts. Raise the value if you are getting inconsistent playback or recording in the audio software. Basically, 512 is generally a good average setting.* Default Bit Depth: The ASIO bit depth in use. Note this field is only active when in use by an ASIO application. It is best to use the highest bit rate your ASIO software will support to ensure high quality audio. Once you've installed the latest drivers for your Line 6 USB device on your computer's operating system, connect audio monitors/speakers to the audio outputs of your Line 6 USB device or use the headphone output jack. The built-in soundcard output of your computer will not output processed amp/effect tones from GearBox/POD Farm/DAW software. Also, connecting the audio output from your POD Studio/TonePort/POD interface into the audio input of your default soundcard will result in you hearing latency (short echo/delay). Please connect your computer speakers or headphonesdirectly to the output of the POD Studio/TonePort/POD interface device and not your original computer's soundcard output.
