  2. Hey guys, first off I just wanna say I love Pod Farm and use it as my main go to for recording guitar track concepts for most of my songs so keep it up. Now the problem I have is that since I updated and restarted my computer my Pod Farm 2.58 platinum won't open on my mac Mini (late 2014 model). It continually gets stuck on loading without any progress. This happens both as a plugin in Logic X, Ableton, Cubase and as Standalone. Things I've tried so far are: Reinstalling Pod Farm Double checked the license manager Repaired Disk Utilities Open in standalone as mentioned before Computer mac Mini Late 2014 (winter) 2.6GHz dual-core Intel Core i5/ 8GB LPDDR3 onboard memoryM/1 TB HD/Intel Iris/Thunderbolt 2, USB 3/802.11ac WiFi + Bluetooth 4.0 (got more memory currently of course) Yosemite Latest version Pod Farm 2,58 But nothing seems to fix the problem. I hope you can help soon or hope there might be an upcoming update that fixes the issue.
  3. So Ive been having problems with L6 monkey when I try to update it on OS X. Now I notified Line 6 of my problem however that was two weeks ago so I figure this is the next best. When I click on the icon it bounces like it normally does in mac, but then nothing, no window, no nothing and I can't make it do anymore. I tried uninstalling then reinstalling and still nothing. I was hoping to update and maybe look at the new model packs but thats not looking very likely.
  4. Hi all, I'm going nuts trying to figure out why my computer will only recognize outputs 1-2 over USB audio. It started when I installed drivers on a brand new Mac running the latest version of Yosemite. On my old Mac, it had no problems recognizing all 8 outputs on the same version. I uninstalled drivers and reinstalled drivers and did everything short of a fresh Yosemite install to try to get it to work, but in both my DAW (Logic) and the system level Audio/Midi Inspector, it only shows outputs 1-2. I know another user on here has mentioned it in another thread--has anyone else encountered this and/or found a fix? I use multi-output to record and process wet and dry signals without having to screw around with latency issues, and this is killing my workflow.
  5. Haven't been able to find a thread regarding the Backtrack Plus mic products: So I used to use my Backtrack with my Windows, but ever since I got a Mac OSX my Backtrack won't work. It won't save a recorded file onto itself, nor will it show it when I plug it into the computer. I read somewhere that its a known issue. I have fixed the problem before by going into the system log and deleting the file that my mac keeps downloading onto the backtrack but everytime i plug it in again, it just reloads the bug. :/ For right now i just want to know what the file is called so i can delete it again, and then i will be able to record, then i can upload to a windows since my mac is gibing me this issue. i dont know what file to delete is what im saying.
  6. Guys first of all sorry I searched topics but none answered my doubts and I'm undecided whether I buy or not. To begin, I have a Windows phone, a desktop with Windows 8 and a Mac with Yosemite. None of these platforms gives to control the amplifier which is a bit weird but ready I'm willing to buy an android for this purpose, now I need to clarify the following doubts. 1- If I buy Mototola Moto G will be compatible with the amplifier (from what I read some say yes and others not)... 2- They are planning to release version for windows or mac? 3- How does the USB port work? I saw on youtube and everyone says it's possible to record, here in the community everyone says it isn't.. I need a little help please.
  7. hi there, i am trying to play my guitar on the macbook pro using pod farm 2.5 and guitar link ucg102 to connect the guitar to the mac, the problem is when i open the stand-alone pod farm and i select the ucg as my input device and the the macbook speaker as output and i apply the setting, i hear nothing, there is no signal... nothing and when i come back to the preferences, i then find as in the second picture, that the selected settings from before are blank now! and i have to select again! where is the problem exactly? ps: pod farm as a plugin is working fantastically in garabeband and logic pro!
  8. The HW/SW details: PowerMac G5 1.8 GHz DP/4GB RAM Mac OS X 10.5.8 PodXT Live info screen displays: v 3.01 / USB v1.12 / ESN 01278564 Line 6 Edit v 3.0.1 Line 6 Monkey v 1.32 Brand new USB cable, tested, known to work with Printer & Scanner. All USB ports work fine with every device I’ve tested. I purchased my Pod XT Live used, several months ago. I’ve tested it with guitar amps and headphones, and it seems to function properly. It’s in perfect condition, save for a few small paint scuffs on the corners and edges of the housing. The retirement age gent I bought it from said he’s never had it out of the house, and I believe him. There’s not even any visible wear on the footswitches or the CC pedal. Unit seems virtually new. After connecting the Pod XT Live to my PowerMac and launching Line 6 Edit, the software does not recognize that the Pod is connected, telling me it is “offline.†Nothing I do in Configuration seems to get them to handshake. I’ve connected directly to the front and back USB ports on my G5. I’ve disconnected all devices except for my mouse and keyboard (which are both wired) Help files in Line 6 Edit suggest that I run Line 6 Monkey to make sure I’m fully up-to-date, but even when I apply the same username and password which allows me access to the Line 6 website and this Forum, a floating alert window appears telling me that: My rebuttals to the Alert message: • I am ALWAYS connected to the internet with a robust, fast cable connection. • I have no system-wide popup blockers, or malware utilities running. • Just for good measure, I disabled popup blockers & AdBlock Plus in my browsers • (not addressed except on the License Manager FAQ page...No anonymizing apps in use) I perused the Line 6 forums & support pages and followed suggestions to download the Line 6 License Manager; after some trial and error I discovered that v 1.0.4 is the most current which will install on PPC architecture. It was only after I installed it and logged in (this time with success, I got no alerts about a failure to connect to the internet) that a message was displayed in the License Manager app that told me: Sooo...what installation or troubleshooting procedure am I missing here? BTW...the following message on the following page http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/computer-based-recording/computer-audio-set-up-and-troubleshooting/usb-compatibility-with-line-6-devices-r342 is a HUGE engineering FAIL: ------------------------------------------ If you have tried all available USB ports on your computer and have either no device recognition or poor audio quality (clicks-pops), you will want to consider purchasing a PCI USB 2.0 card to connect your Line 6 USB audio interface. ------------------------------------------ Thanks in advance for pointing me toward any solutions...I champing at the bit to drive this thing around in Apple’s Logic!
  9. Hi everyone, I need your urgent help before I run crazy. I own two MACs (Book Pro and iMac). I used to link before my PODxt live to it without problems, but now I've updated the Monkey program and it does´t want to recognise my PODxt live. I've updated more than 10 times the drivers but the list simply doesn't include an XT live model. The strangest thing is that the Line 6 Edit and Gearbox can automatically identify the pedal board, but the Monkey don't. I've read through previous posts like unblocking the firewall, uninstalling and jumping to previous versions and whatsoever but I simply cannot get this crazy monkey to show me up a PDxt live on that list or recognise it. I really would appreciate anyones (or Line s's) support. A thankful customer will be waiting desperately. JP
  10. Hi, I just bought Pod Farm 2.5 for my MacBook but I cant install it on Yosemite. It says version 10.5 or higher is required. Anyone can help?? greetings
  11. I bought my line 6 POD studio ux2 yesterday and I can't get this crackling sound to go away, and it's getting recorded as well. It will disappear if I remove the power cable from the mac, but I would rather not have to do that everytime I record. When the power cable is plugged in the sound even gets worse when I move the "mouse arrow" around. I have OSX 10.8.4 and is recording with Logic pro X 10.0.7 Many thanks for any suggestions! /Nils
  12. Hello I have a problem. My Pod hd500 does not respond to changes in volume. I have the same volume in this state and in this OS X Maverics. I hope for your help.
  13. Hi, Just bought an HD500X and was under the impression that it could export the Midi-in port to my software. I haven't been able to do that and then I realized that it could be used exclusively to control patch changes etc. for the POD. So my question is - is it possible to setup so midi messages appearing on midi in are seen by the driver? (My use case is that I have a midi keyboard but no (reliable) midi input for the computer and I would like to use midi to control a software piano (Steinberg, The grand)) Anyone can offer some help? I'm using a fairly recent Macbook Pro retina display. Kind regards, /Daniel
  14. Hello There, I haven't been able to connect my POD XT to my Mac using the USB cable. Tried using Monkey and it doesn't recognize the drivers. They download from the server, and install, but after the computer restarts it's doesn't see the drivers. The screenshot shows the Line 6 Monkey. Tried different USB cables, different versions of drivers and different versions of the monkey software. Please help me out!
  15. hi there, i recently bought a behringer guitar link ucg102 for my macbook pro as a guitar interface, it works fine with garageband but i want it to work with pod farm 2.56 platinum, if i go to the settings and then hardware and then choose the behringer as my input device under "use this device" and then click ok nothing happens .. i mean there is still no guitar sound and when i go back to the hardware settings i find that the settings "use this device" disappeared and i have to choose my device again ... can anyone help me? that would be nice! one thing aslo, does pod farm 2.5 support retina displays?
  16. Hi, I have recently moved from PC to mac OSX. I used to use Cubase and Reason on PC but am wondering what would be the best program to invest in for Mac... I use the TonePort UX8. I am thinking Audition CC. Does anyone know if there will be any hiccups or if something else is best suited? I can get a good deal on Audition CC so thats why i'm considering it... Any guidance will be appreciated! Thanks, Dean
  17. Hello all, Currently, I have been recording some songs on my UX2 and everything is turning out pretty good. The program I'm using at the moment is GarageBand (might get Reaper) and I have questions regarding the program and recording. 1) How do I go about recording vocals and guitar at the same time BUT on separate tracks? (if that makes any sense at all, the weird diagram down there should 'hopefully' explain my objective). |Guitar|~~~~~~~ |Vocals|~~~ ~~ 2) What my problem is, is that I record the both the guitar and vocals but the two come out on the same track. I have even tried making a separate track (like the diagram up there) and I still get the same result. What am I doing wrong and what do I need to fix? Multi-tracking didn't work either but I assume I'd still need to multi-track if I'm going to record vocals and guitar at the same time, right? 3) I usually mic up the guitar as well, but am I better off just putting the guitar into the UX2's input? If there is a link that answers this question, by all means share. Thank you in advance :)
  18. I have a Spider Valve MKII and I want to record my guitar during band practice to my iPad or Macbook. I have an iRig however I definately some other interface. What are my choices? Basically, recording from my guitar to the iPad is how the iRig is designed so I need to add my amp to the equation. Any help is greatly appreciated, Thank you.
  19. This is probably a stupid question but since upgrading to Farm 2.5 I can no longer control Logic's Play/stop functions with the Space Bar (Mac 10.6 and 10.8) if the focus is on Farm. This was not the case in the previous version 1.xx Thank you.
  20. i keep trying to download, or rather "get tone" from custom tone, and it keeps prompting me with "There is no application set to open the document “Streets Have No Name.hre".". Am i missing something simple here? because out of all the tutorials I've seen, the computer recognizes the file as a tone, or whatever. Ive downloaded all i can from line6 monkey. I'm running a mid 2012 MacBookPro with OS X 10.8.5
  21. I am trying to hook up my computer for the first time to board. Plug the USB cable in but the board doesn't recognize it. I am using a Macbook Pro running Mavericks. What am I doing wrong. Can't update Line 6 Monkey because no matter what update I run it asks me to run it again. Help. Not what I signed up for. And is there an editor for the Spider Mark II here somewhere?
  22. Has anyone here upgraded their Mac OSX system to "Maverick" yet ? and is it compatible with POD HD?
  23. Hey interweb. I recently updated Garageband, and now Pod Farm doesn't work. The old Pod Farm that's free, cause I'm cheap and it's been working great for me anyway. Anyway, when I first open up Garageband it tells me that the Pod Farm plug-in isn't available on my system. But it is, it's - it's right there. So then, when I open up the AU list, I can see that the Pod Farm options are there, but when I go to open them I get this error: "Failed to load Audio Unit, please contact the manufacturer for an updated version or further assistance. (-10110)" So. Will there be an update to Pod Farm 1.12 for Mavericks and Garageband 10 compatibility? Or am I now finally forced to get Pod Farm 2?
  24. Getting a weird modulated vibrating echo when playing bass through garageband while use the UX1 as midi input. Problem occurs off and on. Tried different cables and different amps through garageband. Some times happens to guitar as well. Using PodFarm 2.56 and all drivers have been updated
  25. I'm having issues with volume from different sources back to the headphones out on my hd500x. I would like to simultaneously output to headphones attached to the hd500x: Guitar (guitar in on hd500x) Mic (mic xlr in on hd500x) Mac Mini (via USB to hd500x) including iTunes, drum machine software, recording software Occasionally, iPad drum machine (via CD/MP3 In) The problem is all volume levels coming from my Mac are unbearably loud. I've tried dropping my Mac volume controls as low as possible but it takes away all balancing control. My volume and master volume and guitar volumes are all set at near max volume. I have looked for input volume options on both the hd500x and my mac to no avail. Any help is appreciated. My only thought at this point is to get a second mixer to run the Mac and HD500x through and then plug the headphones or monitors into that. Thanks, Scott
