Don't worry, this isn't me asking if I can use it as an interface. I know I can and it's better than the 200$ focusrite or presonus I can afford (it was like 1300$ for helix and headrush frfr 108). I was wondering what else I need to use it as an interface. I have a razer laptop with an i7 and gtx 1070 and klipsch pro media 2.1 thx but I was wondering if I should invest in studio monitors and what else would be a good investment for my rig and studio.

Hey Guys, Today I have a playthrough of my newest instrumental track, Beautiful Burden. This song was recorded using my Solar Guitars A 1.6 Artist LTD. All guitar and bass were tracked with the Line 6 Helix Rack using Ownhammer Impulses I’m really proud of how this track turned out. The gutters cut through and sound aggressive and heavy. That bass is low and gnarly and the overall mix may be one of my best. I'm thinking about releasing this as a single on all digital platforms. Hi! So I'm about to buy an Helix Rack, that I'm gonna use live and at rehearsals with my "modern metal" band (Architects, BMTH, Deftones type of sound..). I'm looking for the best FRFR speaker I could get for this usage between 300€ to maximum 400€. I already looked for the Mackie Thump15, Headrush 112 and ALTO speakers, and heard good and bad things about these but struggle to find good feedbacks from users with a similar situation/need. What would you recommend? Any help would be appreciated! ps: also, what would be the most suited speaker diameter? 10, 12 or 15"?

Hey guys, Guess what? Another Metal Tone! This was inspired by some of you asking if my Helix tones would work on HX Stomp. This tone uses only 5 FX blocks within Helix including a reverb block used for the ambiance that can easily be discarded bringing it down to only 4 blocks! For reference, HX Stomp is capable of handling up to 6 blocks. I am using my Solar Guitars A1.6 Artist with the Evertune bridge. This thing slays! Hi, I am pretty new on home studio. I have been playing gigs all the time and went to studios to record. Unfortunately I don't have any idea about recording setup. I've got a Line 6 SPider V 240HC and a Mac with Logic Pro, but no audio interface. How can I record guitar track on Logic Pro using my Spider v 240 HC. Thanks

I love the simplicity and tone of the Bass PODxt Live, thus I'm still carting it to every bass gig I play at. However, I also have the M9 and happened to plug the bass into it with the Sub Octave Fuzz...it was a life changing moment. All the fuzzes and distortions on the Bass PODxt sound thin because you can't run an effects chain and a clean bass chain simultaneously to maintain the low end lost in the distortion effects. But sweet baby of chaos...that Sub Octave Fuzz is more doom than Conan the Barbarian after a two week bender. Now, to keep with simplicity, is there a way I can upload the Sub Octave Fuzz model into the Bass PODxt Live? Is there an update? A hack, I dare say? I don't want to mess up the signal chain trying to squeeze the M9 before the PODxt Live. Much obliged for your help, RS

Would it be possible to add a new modern pickup model or two, to the Variax software/firmware, to bring it in line with Shuriken's modern good looks? I'm sure JTV owners probably wouldn't mind this either. I know a lot of folks like EMGs, Bare Knuckle, Fishman, DiMarzio, etc. I'm sure people have lots of opinions on which they'd wish for most. Would love to know how people feel about this one. -
Help me! I just bought my Line 6 Firehawk FX and when I tried it at the shop it was fine but when I got home and tried to use it, when ever I strum or hit one string hard, the sound just cuts for half a second and then comes back again. Its especially annoying since I am an aggressive player I basically have to play really softly to get any usable sound from the thing. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting the bluetooth feature and turning it on and off again but it does not work. I have tried it with multiple guitars so I know that its not the guitars' fault. Do you guys know any solution to this? Please and thank you

Hey guys, Today I have a new Helix tone based on The Haunted and Ola Englund. I did a truncated version of Preachers of Death, mainly because the song is difficult and I'm not that great a guitar player. I'm having an issue getting the Metal Shop authorized for use. I had re-bought it because of new features, but I used to run POD Farm on a different computer. I deauthorized my other computer so I could use my Studio GX on the new Mac I had Purchased. I am running OS X and my computer is authorized but I'm afraid my Line 6 GX is not showing up in License manager as well... How do I solve this problem? I deauthorized it and registered it again but it still will not show up. Somebody please help. THANK YOU. -

Hey everyone, I just recently got a 7-string guitar and I have been playing a ton of Northlane lately. Problem is I can't dial in the tone that they use so I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help by creating a Northlane tone. I'm not experienced enough with the Pod to dial in the tone that they use so if anyone is a fan of Northlane and would like to help me out I would greatly appreciate it!

So, as cliched as this question undoubtedly is, I need some help getting my helix to do a djent/prog modern metal sort of thing. Think Meshuggah/TesseracT/Periphery. For the high gain tones, I've been running my Precision Drive in the FX loop and going through the "angl meteor" head and the Redwirez ENGL cabinet impulses. It doesn't sound terrible, but it's always either too thin or too muddy. I also have some problems with buzzing (which probably means I just need to adjust the gate). For the clean tone, I want to try to duplicate the TesseracT cleans. I've got it fairly close by using the "twin reverb" head with no cab and a lot of reverb/delay. It distorts in a really weird way sometimes though. I obviously don't know how to work this thing as well as I should. Can anyone help me out?

The fine folks over at Lundgren Pickups asked me to demo their newest humbucker set, called Black Heaven, and this is what I came up with. All guitar tones (and bass) are coming from my Helix Rack. The high-gain rhythm and solo tones are all the Cali Rectifire model. The clean tones, and the low-gain solo are through the Essex A-30. Hey guys, Today I walk through the various tones I used in my cover of the Ghost Song Cirice using the Line 6 Helix. I also walk through various aspects of the mix. Be warned, this one is a little long. I used Ownhammer Impulses all over this thing, from the clean tones to the bass. HEAVY GUITAR: The amp I used was the Line 6 Brit 2204 which is modeled after the Marshall JCM 800. I used Ownhammers OH 412 ENG v30 JS which is a mixed IR by Jon Symons DIRTY INTRO GUITAR: I used the Jazz Rivet 120 model with Ownhammer OH HHC2 SOAP FULL CLEAN INTRO: I used the US DOUBLE Nrm with Ownhammer OH HHC2 THOR FAT BASS: I used the SV Beast Brt with the Ownhammer OH 410 AMPG SVT-10 PORT The drums are from the great guys over at SilentUndergroundStudios and their backing tracks
