  1. Below is the link to the preset made on the POD HD300 http://www.mediafire.com/file/dg75p92... For the other pedals (HD500 E 500x) you just have to follow the order of the video effects, the pedals 500 and 500x have the same effects.
  2. So I have been trying to create a Metal/Metallica preset for my Helix LT and I have been having problems. Either it sounds way too over compressed, there is way too much background noise, or the tone just doesn’t sound good. Does anybody have any setting recommendations? I have seen tons of them in CustomTone that don’t sound any better.
  3. After far too much procrastination, I've finally gone back and done a tone overview video on my Metallica - Dream No More tone with the Helix. Thanks to all my patient pals for politely asking me to get this done. This is for you guys. Hope you all are well in Helix land
  4. Hey Guys, Today I have a Helix tone inspired by the Mighty Metallica. Dream No More is a heavy track off of Hardwired with a great groove and a, “Thing that should not be,†feel to it. I choose it because it’s one of my favorites of the album AND, it’s in D Standard so I didn’t have to mess with my tuning very much. CHAIN: PRS Tremonti SE loaded with Fishman Fluence Moderns Line 6 Helix Rack using the Cali IV Lead, based on a Mesa Boogie Mark IV Lead Channel for guitar and the SVT Beast Brt, which is based on an Ampeg SVT for bass IRs for guitar are none other than the OWNHAMMER OH 412 TRAD V60 MDRN-05 IRs for bass are the OWNHAMMER OH 410 AMPG SVT-10 CUT MIX and OWNHAMMER OH 410 AMPG SVT-10 PORT Into the Universal Audio Apollo Twin which feeds Logic Pro X all the lovely tones. Drums are courtesy of Toontrack Superior Drummer 3
  5. Hey guys, Since Metallica use Fractal Audio Axe FX's for their live tones I thought it would be cool to see if Helix from Line 6 could come close. I made a couple of tones and honestly, I think the results speak for themselves! I was expecting them to be good but I think they turned out REALLY good. Dual amps can be a little tricky but it wasn't a problem at all. So I made a little tutorial video to show how to get these tones. Hope someone finds this useful and/or entertaining!
  6. I've been working on Metallica tones for their first five albums. The goal was to get as accurate as possible. Here's where I ended up! The video quality varies quite a bit but all the guitar playing is recorded direct to the computer via USB with no mixing or any kind of extra processing added. It's straight Helix. Seek & Destroy for that gnarly, old-school metal Kill 'Em All tone Fade To Black with Hetfield's revamped and modded Marshall tone
  7. Metallica Sad but true Cover with backing tracks Sad but true, next track I chose to cover from Black Album. Spent some time to improve guitar tone from the previous video. Using Line 6 Spider IV and KB37 for guitar recording. Please share your feedback. Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/haroon.ahmad.777
  8. Hi Guys, This is my first cover video, please share your feed back. using line 6 Spider IV amp + KB37 + pod farm 2.5. No doubt solos need bit more work. Regards Haroon
  9. Hello everybody, this is my first post and I apologize for any errors. I was trying to find a specific tone that is used throughout the Master of Puppets album (Metallica) and was wondering if there was any way I could achieve it. It is the fuzzy, suppressed tone used very extensively through the Metallica song Orion. I own a Spider iv 75 amplifier, and understand that it may be impossible without additional effects that I do not have on my amp. Thanks for any help.
