  1. I just got the HD500x recently and the other guitarist in my band has Ableton live running every show. My question is: How can we program Ableton to send patch/effects changes to my POD? Thanks!
  2. Hello everyone! I have this problem: I want to use the effects of my POD HD 500 and the distortion of my Fender Roc Pro 100 Head (with 1/4 footswitch). Whats the best solution to trigger and change the channels (clean, drive, boost, reverb) of my Fender amp through my POD and also activate POD FX? I saw some options, like MIDI RESOLUTION RELAY CONTROLLER or AMP GIZMO. Which is the best option? Someone has experience with this? How do you set up to configure POD + MIDI + AMP HEAD? Thanks a lot! Emi
  3. Hello, I'm wondering if it is possible to use one M9 as a MIDI Controller for a second M9, specifically using both as looping pedals. Would it possible to configure it such that pressing REC on the first box simultaneously activates REC on the second, STOP on the first activates STOP on the second, so on and so forth? This way multiple instruments could be operating within the same loop, while being able to keep the signals far separated. If this is possible, I'd love some insight as to how to accomplish such a task. Infinite thanks in advance Henry
  4. Hi! I recently got a used POD XT Pro and I am setting it up for live use. To do this, I got myself an FBV Shortboard MK I. I am looking to use the Compressor and EQ via footswitches, but clearly the Shortboard MK I doesn't support it [as far as I know]. Given this, I am now left to trigger them using CC #26 and CC #63 respectively. I would like to keep things simple, so I am looking at a simple 2-button MIDI footswitch that triggered either 0 or 127 [i.e. off and on] for each CC #. I was wondering if there is a MIDI footswitch that you could recommend for this purpose. I am not sure if this will help, but I also have an FBV 2 controller [the one with two switches for bank up/down]. I am curious if this could be configured to trigger the said CC numbers, as that will definitely help me save on costs. Thanks a lot guys!
  5. Hello everybody, For Xmas, i bought a new cable called USB to Midi (USB2MIDI) with 1 usb male, a small device (converting usb to midi) and 2 midi plug (IN and OUT) like this one : LogiLink Cable USB MIDIhttp://www.amazon.fr/LogiLink-C%C3%A2ble-USB-MIDI-pour/dp/B000XRI3CC and this cable works fine with some software like Reaper, Guitar Pro or MIDI-OX : i can record commands from pod 2.0 with Reaper for instance, or send commands BUT i can't open Line 6 Edit to edit/save/import/export my own effects 1 - I can see other posts with same kind of problem : can't connect to line 6 Edit with LogiLink cable --> M-Audio recommended ok fine but i don't really want to buy another cable 2 - I have already tested my cable with MIDI-OX : seem to work fine : input & output are ok, with Reaper too : i can record when i change something on the pod, then, i can receive what i record previously 3 - My old computer with MIDI /GAME port and old midi cables (no USB) works fine with my POD 2.0, so the pod 2.0 is ok 4 - I have the latest version of Line 6 Edit & Java up to date too... I have also tried some older version of Line 6 Edit just in case ... 5 - Help me please :-) i can see the talented people here ! 6 - I'm french but i can understand English if it's simple :-)
  6. Hi everyone, I added a Voodoo Lab GCX to my rig and I'm experimenting with using my FBV Shortboard MKII to send it MIDI control change messages through the POD HD Pro. I have it working where I can hit my FS1 button to toggle Controller #80 on or off through channel 16. The only thing that needs improvement is I was wondering if it would be possible to have the LED on the FS1 stay on when the value is 127 (On) and have it off when I toggle the button again. Is this doable? Thanks, Anthony
  7. Hi all, I was wondering if any of you are using the tap tempo function with the FCB1010? I've tried and failed multiple times to set this function up. I'm trying to set up Button 10 to send the tap tempo command to the Pod HD Pro X. Can any of you advise how to do this? Many thanks! Ash
  8. Hello, I've recently bought a Flextone III XL. I'd like to deep edit some presets and bought a generic usb - midi cable. It seems that the cable recognizes both the usb port and the midi interface. However Line 6 Edit and Line 6 Monkey don't recognize the Flextone. I tried in two computers with Windows XP and Windows Vista with the same result. I think I've read all the topics concerning to this issue and I've installed L6 Edit with and without Java. Any trick or advice? Thanks and regards
  9. I am still learning stuff on my Pod HD500 and one question that I have is regarding the use of the HD500 as a midi controller. Basically, would it be possible to use the pedal to control loops from a PC while still using the effects from the pedal? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! :)
  10. Hello, Is it possible to control a Voodoo Lab GCX using the FBV Shortboard mkII and my POD HD Pro? I'm assuming that the MIDI out on the HD Pro needs to be connected to the Pedal In on the back of the GCX. Apparently pins 1 & 3 are used to supply phantom power to the GCP though. Is this going to cause a problem with the POD? Thanks, Anthony
  11. Does anyone know how I can turn my effects loop on'off via midi with my POD Hd500x?
  12. I'm thinking about getting the Pod HD (bean) and the FBV EXPRESS MkII. I don't really need the full HD500/X floorboard. So, can an FBV EXPRESS MkII control a Pod HD (bean) and another MIDI device over USB via a computer? Long version: I want to have a Behringer DEQ2496 (a fancy programmable digital EQ) connected to the Pod HD via S/PDIF (via Coax/RCA to optical converter or RCA to AES/BEU adapter) and change with the patch changes on the Pod HD. It could help with dialing in some patches. Now, I know the Pod HD (bean) doesn't have MIDI connectors. The FBV EXPRESS MkII manual says that it will send MIDI via USB and (at least with the X3) could be connected through a computer and send MIDI changes between the Pod and the floorboard (over USB). Can it also send changes to the DEQ2496 (via MIDI adapter connected to the computer)? It sounds like you can't connect the floorboard to the Pod via Cat5 and use USB on the floorboard at the same time, so USB all around would be required. The Pod HD isn't sending MIDI over USB, right? So the floorboard (and computer) has to be in the mix to change both devices. Short version: So all 3 devices would be connected through a computer. Hit a pad on the floorboard and have the bean change patch and the DEQ2496 change to the appropriate EQ patch. Anybody tried anything like that? I've done a little MIDI software dev stuff - so if the devices are sending/receiving anything across MIDI (via USB) - I can probably sync them up. It would be nice if it just worked, though. I played with DEQ2496 on an X3 Live years ago and it worked well and helped dial in the sound a bunch. Of course, you didn't need the computer in between. I'd guess it would work with the HD500/X easily, too. Searching on the FBV EXPRESS MkII (on this forum) doesn't instill a lot of confidence that it works well with the Pod HD (bean), though. I'd just like some patch switching, control the looper, and have the expression pedal. Any thoughts? Chris
  13. Hi, Just bought an HD500X and was under the impression that it could export the Midi-in port to my software. I haven't been able to do that and then I realized that it could be used exclusively to control patch changes etc. for the POD. So my question is - is it possible to setup so midi messages appearing on midi in are seen by the driver? (My use case is that I have a midi keyboard but no (reliable) midi input for the computer and I would like to use midi to control a software piano (Steinberg, The grand)) Anyone can offer some help? I'm using a fairly recent Macbook Pro retina display. Kind regards, /Daniel
  14. I've been trying to get Pod Farm 2.5 working with midi. At some point, I deleted one of the midi assignments from assignments view. There seems to be no method of re-adding the setting (in this case, I deleted Tone A level by accident). I reinstalled pod farm 2.5 to no avail. I'm using it with a Pod Studio UX1. On a related note, is there any way of adding new midi assignments?
  15. Hello all, I have a POD 2.0 running firmware v2.2 and controlling it with an an original Line 6 Floorboard: I am trying to map my POD 2.0 Floorboard controls so that I can control parameters in Guitar Rig Pro 5. I have seen videos and posts on users using the newer Line 6 floorboard models with Guitar Rig Pro but I have no clue on how to do this with the original POD 2.0 Floorboard. I have my MIDI INs and OUTs connected correctly and Ableton is showing that I am transmitting MIDI signals from my Floorboard. However, I cannot seem to find the right software to manually map the POD 2.0 MIDI CC#'s so that Guitar Rig Pro 5 can see them. For instance, when I move my volume pedal on my Line 6 Floorboard, I would like it to control a knob in Guitar Rig Pro 5. I have installed Line 6 Edit and Line 6 Monkey which I don't think helped my situation. Has anyone done anything similar with the original Line 6 Floorboard? With the amount of POD 2.0's still out there, I'm sure someone has tried to connect their gear with Guitar Rig Pro or Amplitube? Can anyone help me out? Thanks.
  16. Hello, so I recently bought an HD500x, which I use as an audio interface for my speakers, and mainly to record stuff with my guitar (mostly for guitar covers). But, I've got an M-audio keystation 61es, so my question is, can I use this as Midi through the HD500x to record stuff with, and can I use HD500x presets for the keystation, and if so, how do I do this? Because I want the sound from the keystation to come from the same speakers as my HD500x (my guitar, spotify, all that). I would also like to get other effects and stuff out of it, instead of just the regular piano. And IF this is NOT possible, do you guys have any suggestions of software that can do this? Thanks.
  17. Hello. I have a problem with connecting my Hd500 to amp head as a midi controller and preset changer at the same time. I need to program the device for changing 3-channels of my amp through midi (controller function) and changing presets on HD500 simutainously. I know that it can be done in ABCD configuration, but I cannot figure out how to program the midi outputs. Could You please help me?
  18. Hi is it possible to control the Flextone 3 presets with a Pod Pro connect via MIDI? I have those 2 and I have also the Line 6 floorboard that controles the pod pro, but for my flextone 3 I don't have any FBV to control the flex tone 3 and I don't want to have 2 big floorboards on the floor when I'm playing, what I want is just to control all with the line 6 floorboard, Is it possible? Thanks Jorge
  19. I just purchased Guitar Pro 6 and I want to directly capture my (guitar, keyboards, etc) in order to write the tabulature. I know that the GP6 can capture midi files directly. Can I use my UX2 to capture midi while playing? I use reaper as my recording software and POD Farm 2 for tones. Would I need any additional software or devices to be able to do this? Thanks for any help that you can give me
  20. Hey everyone, So I know nothing about Midi. Ok I only know it allows devices to communicate. I own a Pod HD500 and I'm thinking about getting a Voicelive vocal processor. Both devices have Midi connections. I'm just wondering: is there is a way that changing preset on the Pod HD500 can trigger changing to the appropriate preset on the Voicelive? This would be much more comfortable than having to jump with one foot on each device. Thanks for your help!
  21. I use my M5 in a rack and switch presets with a MIDI controller. Is there a way to get the M5 to start in preset mode at power-on? That would save me from having to change it every time I turn it on. Thanks.
  22. Hi everybody, I'd like to know if it's possible to sync my POD HD 300 to a BOSS RC-300 via a "USB to MIDI" cable... The goal would be to create a loop on the RC300 and then to have the delay tempo of the hd300 automatically synchronized with it. Has anyone tried that kind of connection? Thanks
  23. Hi everyone, First post here, and I desperately need help! Just bought myself a new Laney Ironheart 120W head (BEAUTIFUL ^_^) and I'm struggling to get my Pod X3 live to work well with it. I basically want to use the X3 live for just effects. I really like the sound of my amp, but want the X3 live for stomp boxes, modulations and delays. Now I know the 4 cable method is an option, but the thing I dislike is that I will now have to be constantly jumping back and forth on the pedal to change patches, while also switching about on the actual footswitch. Here's the interesting thing though that I've just discovered - My footswitch has an input cable that fits the X3 live's Midi input. So I can attach a cable that goes from the POD's Midi input, to the footswitch at the back of my amp. Is there any way I can use this to not only control my amp channel switching, but also the POD's patches? So say for example, I wanted to go from my clean channel on the amp (with the POD's tremelo and reverb) to my amps lead channel (with a fuzz and delay activated) with the X3 live? That would literally by my ideal setup, I don't mind a bit of tone loss, as long as I can do all changes from my POD, while keeping my amps awesomeness, and the POD's FX awesomeness. I am completely new to tube amps (only had this amp a couple of weeks) and I have never even thought of using MIDI before, so I have next to no knowledge of it. I would really appreciate any help here! Thank you :)
  24. Hi to all , I just purchased a DT25 head and I am trying to connect it to Monkey to see what firmware I have. I first tried using a cheap Chinese ebay cable and I was getting no lights on the midi side. I went out today and bought a hosa midi to usb converter and I am having the same issue. No lights on the Midi side, just on the usb side. I connected Midi in of converter to Midi out on the amp and vice versa for the Out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.
  25. Hi, I'm hoping to user a Voodoo Lab Commander to control the HD500x via MIDI, but the Commander requires getting it's power from the 5 pin MIDI connection. Is there any way to get power out from the HD500x or an adapter cable maybe? Thanks! SSG
