  1. hey everyone I'm a guitarist who records with my Line 6 UX1 and POD Farm, and I'm looking for someone to do some drum tracks for me. A drummer or someone who can program drums for an online collaboration for 2 or 3 songs, even if its programmed drums or a MIDI file I can edit that would work as well, and I'm willing to pay. I'm recording some originals and covers in Reaper and I need drum tracks for the songs. Hard rock/metal songs for now probably one original and one cover. You need to be able to record your drums in your home studio or studio with good quality and be able to send the tracks to me over the internet so I can record guitar with what you played! Please let me know! E-Mail me we can talk over email, facebook, or by phone. It doesn't matter where you live. Here's some other songs I did with my band, Caidema, to show you the kind of style I play in: • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spt0o80FLgs and • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsq_CkjG52k Thank You -Matt • MatthewIan84@gmail.com • www.Facebook.com/CaidemaBand • www.Facebook.com/Mattianalbano
  2. Question, My current set-up needs some help. My rivera KR7 Knucklehead has MIDI controlled by Rivera's Headmaster footswitch. The Headmaster sends PC changes only. My goal is to set a scene for each of the Headmaster's footswitches. Example; Headmaster footswitch 1 is Channel-1 "clean" with reverb and effects loop active. Midi PC 01 to M9 works fine for scene 2B Headmaster footswitch 2 is Channel-1 "clean w/boost, reverb and effects loop active. Midi PC 01 to m9 works fine for scene 1B Problem; The M9 will only switch scenes on channel 1 where I want 6 individual scenes for each channel ex.. (2) scenes ea for channel 1, 2, 3. why has the M9 choosen 1B & 2B with the MIDI PC from the Headmaster? Is there a way to dedicate a seperate midi channel per scene? The only option I haven't explored is changing the MIDI control flow. Should the M9 send MIDI PC istead of recieve them to accomplish this? Current hook up is, Headmaster MIDI out / M9 MIDI in. Do I need to go M9 MIDI out / Rivera MIDI in-thru?
  3. I'm trying to control via MIDI the M9 with a Joyo PLX Live pedal switching system. But it isn't so easy. Does anyone have experience with that? Could you share with me?
  4. Is it possible? I'm not above getting MIDI distribution hardware to make it happen, but this would enable me to do some cool stuff.
  5. Hello all! I recently purchased an old original Pod Pro Rack on Craigslist. I bought it to record with and am having issues getting other tones loaded onto it. The other guitarist in my band uses a Pod XT Pro rack to record with and I am wondering if it's possible to get his tones onto my incredibly old rack? We had to read the respective manuals for our units and tried to send his tones to my rack via MIDI cable. We sent his patches but we couldn't tell if they made it to my rack or not. If it did work I have know idea how to access the tones he sent. It seems that just the stock presets from my unit are all there is. My screen said "9 D" at the time we sent the patches. Is that what the tones would be under? Am I doing anything wrong or are our two Pods incompatible due to their age difference? Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  6. I'm shopping around, and I'm trying to set up a rig ideal for a multiple punk rock sounds, as I have a variety of influences and dont want to be limited to one specific sound. As a one man project, I want to use this device as my sole effects box, for recording and live purposes, without a lot of clutter from multiple pedals, having to worry about batteries, patch cords, etc. currently I own a pod ux2 that I've had combined with its included licensed pod farm, while thats been nice for recording, I've had some issues regarding its dependability on constantly needing to verify my license, it wasn't always a problem, but lately its been problem. Almost every time I load pod farm as a plug in I need to verfiy the license. Not ideal for recording or live performance, so I want the ability to have these effects without having to drag a ux2 into it. Still usable for plug in edits, but not good for live. Getting back on track here, i don't know a lot about midi controllers, but I was wondering if and how I would connect the pod hd500x to my computer to control a media player to play my backup tracks, using a foot switch instead of having to go back and forth to hit space on my laptop, or play on a cd player, after all playing one person looks lame enough for a punk performance, interupting to press play on my laptop would look worse. I'd like to just be able to kick into my prerecorded back up tracks from my computer off to the side.
  7. Hi All, I got a problem with my X3 Live (MIDI settings) and Reaper. I use my POD for playing live along with backing tracks set in Reaper. I have created track for sending MIDI to POD and it works great BUT..... when I stop my DAW, my POD changes settings by itself (tap tempo is much faster, lower reverb mix). Is there any option to program MIDI to retain same settings while playing and while stopping? Please help. Thanks!
  8. Hello World! I recently upgraded from a Spider IV 75 to a used Vetta II. I only play to entertain myself at home, which is why I didn't throw down the money for a Fractal AXE-FX. All is well except a couple of bugs that I was hoping you could help sort out. I'm assuming certain things are user error. 1. I was flipping through the factory presets, I'd find an interesting preset, attempt to turn off the effects one by one and the amp would either revert back to original settings or the effect wouldn't turn off at all. In the long run this isn't too important as I'll end up just setting up my own tones. I was just worried that this was indicative of some sort of issue. 2. When I turn on the amp with the FBV Shortboard plugged in, the volume pedal always seems to need resetting (just backed off to zero and back up). 3. When researching to connect to the Line6 Monkey software, I've seen that m-audio uno is the only way to go. However, there's no drivers available for Windows 8.1. Has anyone had any success on this front? Thanks for any input.
  9. Hi I am midi synching the new mybeatbuddy drum machine to the M9 "midi in" and the mybeatbuddy master tempo for example is 90 but the master tempo on the M9 is showing 89.6. The M9 is about .04 off on any tempo I chose. The good news is the M9 definitely is changing when I change the master tempo on mybeatbuddy which was my goal so my effexts would match the tempo. My M9 is new so I wondered if .04 was close enough? It is hard to notice being I am only synching effects like delay and modulation. I just thought it would read the exact same number as the other device if it was synched properly. Thoughts from those with more experience on whether or not this small error of margin is something I should worry about? I am running the latest firmware.
  10. I'm looking for some advice on hooking my HD500 up through MIDI. I've never used MIDI before so the concepts are beyond my current scope. I'm about to purchase a Hughes and Kettner Tubemeister 36, and was going to get the pedal for it, but then when looking through the specs remembered that my POD has MIDI in it. Would I be able to switch back and forth between channels using the foot switches? I want to use the effects in the POD, vs selling it and purchasing a M-13 or something so that I've got the range of other features the POD offers. Has anyone tried this? Curious about the "language" between the H&K and the POD to make sure that they sync up correctly, or does all MIDI do that automatically because MIDI IS the language? Any help would be awesome. Thanks! Justin
  11. I just got the HD500x recently and the other guitarist in my band has Ableton live running every show. My question is: How can we program Ableton to send patch/effects changes to my POD? Thanks!
  12. Hello everyone! I have this problem: I want to use the effects of my POD HD 500 and the distortion of my Fender Roc Pro 100 Head (with 1/4 footswitch). Whats the best solution to trigger and change the channels (clean, drive, boost, reverb) of my Fender amp through my POD and also activate POD FX? I saw some options, like MIDI RESOLUTION RELAY CONTROLLER or AMP GIZMO. Which is the best option? Someone has experience with this? How do you set up to configure POD + MIDI + AMP HEAD? Thanks a lot! Emi
  13. Hello, I'm wondering if it is possible to use one M9 as a MIDI Controller for a second M9, specifically using both as looping pedals. Would it possible to configure it such that pressing REC on the first box simultaneously activates REC on the second, STOP on the first activates STOP on the second, so on and so forth? This way multiple instruments could be operating within the same loop, while being able to keep the signals far separated. If this is possible, I'd love some insight as to how to accomplish such a task. Infinite thanks in advance Henry
  14. I have been using my HD500 through USB with my old Macbook Pro to control patch changes via MIDI for a couple of years now and it has worked great. I use Digital Performer for my DAW. I recently purchased a new Macbook Air running OSX Mavericks ver. 10.9.4 and the new Macbook doesn't recognise the HD500 as a MIDI devise in Audio MIDI Setup. I have the latest driver 7.3.6, from Line6 installed. The HD500 has all the latest updated software thru Monkey. The Macbook Air does recognize the HD500 as an audio devise and I can get sound to and from the HD500. They say that the driver makes it so you can use MIDI over the USB connection. Is there something I'm missing in the setup?
  15. Hi! I recently got a used POD XT Pro and I am setting it up for live use. To do this, I got myself an FBV Shortboard MK I. I am looking to use the Compressor and EQ via footswitches, but clearly the Shortboard MK I doesn't support it [as far as I know]. Given this, I am now left to trigger them using CC #26 and CC #63 respectively. I would like to keep things simple, so I am looking at a simple 2-button MIDI footswitch that triggered either 0 or 127 [i.e. off and on] for each CC #. I was wondering if there is a MIDI footswitch that you could recommend for this purpose. I am not sure if this will help, but I also have an FBV 2 controller [the one with two switches for bank up/down]. I am curious if this could be configured to trigger the said CC numbers, as that will definitely help me save on costs. Thanks a lot guys!
  16. Hi everyone, I added a Voodoo Lab GCX to my rig and I'm experimenting with using my FBV Shortboard MKII to send it MIDI control change messages through the POD HD Pro. I have it working where I can hit my FS1 button to toggle Controller #80 on or off through channel 16. The only thing that needs improvement is I was wondering if it would be possible to have the LED on the FS1 stay on when the value is 127 (On) and have it off when I toggle the button again. Is this doable? Thanks, Anthony
  17. Hi all, I was wondering if any of you are using the tap tempo function with the FCB1010? I've tried and failed multiple times to set this function up. I'm trying to set up Button 10 to send the tap tempo command to the Pod HD Pro X. Can any of you advise how to do this? Many thanks! Ash
  18. I am still learning stuff on my Pod HD500 and one question that I have is regarding the use of the HD500 as a midi controller. Basically, would it be possible to use the pedal to control loops from a PC while still using the effects from the pedal? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! :)
  19. Hello, Is it possible to control a Voodoo Lab GCX using the FBV Shortboard mkII and my POD HD Pro? I'm assuming that the MIDI out on the HD Pro needs to be connected to the Pedal In on the back of the GCX. Apparently pins 1 & 3 are used to supply phantom power to the GCP though. Is this going to cause a problem with the POD? Thanks, Anthony
  20. Does anyone know how I can turn my effects loop on'off via midi with my POD Hd500x?
  21. I'm thinking about getting the Pod HD (bean) and the FBV EXPRESS MkII. I don't really need the full HD500/X floorboard. So, can an FBV EXPRESS MkII control a Pod HD (bean) and another MIDI device over USB via a computer? Long version: I want to have a Behringer DEQ2496 (a fancy programmable digital EQ) connected to the Pod HD via S/PDIF (via Coax/RCA to optical converter or RCA to AES/BEU adapter) and change with the patch changes on the Pod HD. It could help with dialing in some patches. Now, I know the Pod HD (bean) doesn't have MIDI connectors. The FBV EXPRESS MkII manual says that it will send MIDI via USB and (at least with the X3) could be connected through a computer and send MIDI changes between the Pod and the floorboard (over USB). Can it also send changes to the DEQ2496 (via MIDI adapter connected to the computer)? It sounds like you can't connect the floorboard to the Pod via Cat5 and use USB on the floorboard at the same time, so USB all around would be required. The Pod HD isn't sending MIDI over USB, right? So the floorboard (and computer) has to be in the mix to change both devices. Short version: So all 3 devices would be connected through a computer. Hit a pad on the floorboard and have the bean change patch and the DEQ2496 change to the appropriate EQ patch. Anybody tried anything like that? I've done a little MIDI software dev stuff - so if the devices are sending/receiving anything across MIDI (via USB) - I can probably sync them up. It would be nice if it just worked, though. I played with DEQ2496 on an X3 Live years ago and it worked well and helped dial in the sound a bunch. Of course, you didn't need the computer in between. I'd guess it would work with the HD500/X easily, too. Searching on the FBV EXPRESS MkII (on this forum) doesn't instill a lot of confidence that it works well with the Pod HD (bean), though. I'd just like some patch switching, control the looper, and have the expression pedal. Any thoughts? Chris
  22. Hi, Just bought an HD500X and was under the impression that it could export the Midi-in port to my software. I haven't been able to do that and then I realized that it could be used exclusively to control patch changes etc. for the POD. So my question is - is it possible to setup so midi messages appearing on midi in are seen by the driver? (My use case is that I have a midi keyboard but no (reliable) midi input for the computer and I would like to use midi to control a software piano (Steinberg, The grand)) Anyone can offer some help? I'm using a fairly recent Macbook Pro retina display. Kind regards, /Daniel
  23. hello, I'm pretty new to MIDI, but since I recently bought a KORG Volca Keys unit, I was wondering if I could use my Toneport KB37 as the MIDI controller for this device without first going through a computer? I'm asking because in all the forums and manuals it always mentions going through a computer, and of course the kb37 does not have the MIDI DIN connector. if I get a USB-MIDI converter cable (or SPDIF-MIDI??), can I just plug the kb37 into the Volca and have it work? what kind of cable do I need, in case it needs a special cable? and, you know: just all the other silly noob questions about (this) midi setup that you can think of... ;) thanks, Eric. PS: this is a video of the KORG Volca Keys with a midi keyboard setup, I'm looking for something similar, but with the KB37 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVTm0mT53fU
  24. Hello all, I have a POD 2.0 running firmware v2.2 and controlling it with an an original Line 6 Floorboard: I am trying to map my POD 2.0 Floorboard controls so that I can control parameters in Guitar Rig Pro 5. I have seen videos and posts on users using the newer Line 6 floorboard models with Guitar Rig Pro but I have no clue on how to do this with the original POD 2.0 Floorboard. I have my MIDI INs and OUTs connected correctly and Ableton is showing that I am transmitting MIDI signals from my Floorboard. However, I cannot seem to find the right software to manually map the POD 2.0 MIDI CC#'s so that Guitar Rig Pro 5 can see them. For instance, when I move my volume pedal on my Line 6 Floorboard, I would like it to control a knob in Guitar Rig Pro 5. I have installed Line 6 Edit and Line 6 Monkey which I don't think helped my situation. Has anyone done anything similar with the original Line 6 Floorboard? With the amount of POD 2.0's still out there, I'm sure someone has tried to connect their gear with Guitar Rig Pro or Amplitube? Can anyone help me out? Thanks.
  25. I've been trying to get Pod Farm 2.5 working with midi. At some point, I deleted one of the midi assignments from assignments view. There seems to be no method of re-adding the setting (in this case, I deleted Tone A level by accident). I reinstalled pod farm 2.5 to no avail. I'm using it with a Pod Studio UX1. On a related note, is there any way of adding new midi assignments?
