  1. I have gone through the exercise of converting a bunch of files to MP3 and putting them on my SD card to use as break music. On my computer everything looks fine. When I put the SD card into the m20d and go through the add files to media player exercise, every MP3 file has a duplicate file the has a prefix of "._" (a period and underscore). These files are non-playable and can not be added. The issue is, I can not use the "select all" feature. I have to manually select each file manually to add to media player. This is very time consuming when you have a lot of files. Anyone else encounter this, and is there a solution or work around?
  2. hopefully some one can help me with this, i just recently got my self a Helix, i come from having a POD HD500 and when i practice i just place my computer or phone thru the mp3 input, now how i do that in a simple way? please help i plug my computer sound into the input and is coming with all the effects and sound that im using with my guitar.
  3. Greetings, I've been using an LD15 amp for a few years now and I am happy with it in general. There is only an issue that hasn't been resolved over all this time i've been using it. When an MP3 is plugged in the MP3 input of the amp, the sound that comes out of the amp speaker is significantly lower and "weak", even when the device is set on its maximum volume. Looking at other similar topics in the forum, the cable has been identified as the culprit for this case, however, this is the 3rd time I've gotten a new cable and the problem is still there. The only way I have managed to get the full and loud sound that was supposed to come out of the speaker is when i press the jack slightly down on the amp end, which makes me believe that the jack fails to couple properly with the input. Assuming that this is the case, is there any fix that I can try for the input? Some sort of making it slightly narrower? Thanks in advance.
  4. Hi, Today I got a problem with my Spider Classic 15. I was playing with my cellphone connected to it via jack on the CD-MP3 input. Then a friend tried connecting it to a laptop via the same connector, and the amplifier started hissing heavily. If I touch with my fingers the end of the jack the noise is lower, but its still there. If I do this and at the same time I touch the strings of the guitar it dissapears. If someone is holding the end of the jack while I'm playing it sounds perfect, but I don't know why, and what to do to repair it. Someone has any idea of what happened and what should I do?
  5. Can you play backing tracks through the spider v? Either through an input or using the app or a computer?
  6. So I picked up the Amplifi 75 last year, rocked out with it and used as an AMP it was great. Finally, picked up an Alesis Nitro drum kit and love the thing (much easier to play along on drums than guitar!) BUT I'd like to use the Amplify as sort of a studio monitor with mp3 backing tracks I. Here is the issue: -I plug the iphone into the Aux in the back. volume is lacking...not loud..sounds pretty crappy. - SO...i bluetooth it to the Amplifi and it's really sounds great, louder than I need it to be, better bass, etc, etc. So problem solved? No. I plug the Drums into the guitar input and despite turning of all the effects, turning up the white mix level to 100%, killing everything but the Cab I can barely hear the drums. Which sucks. But if i run the aux in and drums into the guitar in 1/4" jack...great mix but not nearly loud enough (can't even cover the tapping on the drum heads). I've spent waaaay too much time on this and I'm really hoping one of the experts here can help me out. I'd like to not buy a mixer (looked at the Mackie or Berhinger cheap enough but just seems overkill for my middle aged life). I've thought just cutting out the whole AMplifi and using the studio monitor out that the drums have but what that seems a waste... Any tips/thougths etc would be really appreciated! Thanks!
  7. The mp3 input jack of my amp was bent on the inside, so i picked up a new stereo jack and took it apart to find that the original jack had 5 contacts, while the ones i got from radioshack only had 3. Anybody know where I can get one that would work? any help would be appreciated.
  8. I just got a beatBuddy drum pedal. I want to record song ideas into the Spider Jam so I plug the drum pedal in MP3/CD 1/8 inch jack, the guitar into the guitar jack and when I record (with input set to guitar) I just get just the guitar. If I plug the beat buddy into the 1/4 inch AUX and set the input yo AUX/MIC I get clean drums and no guitar. If I hold down the input button for 2 seconds and select "mix with guitar" then I get drums and guitar recorded but the drums share the overdrive tone used for the guitar and gets all distorted (this is not input level distortion, it's from the tone/dist effect). Am I missing a way to record a clean beat buddy pedal and the distorted guitar sound on the Spider Jam? The routing seems odd. Think of it as playing your own backing track into the spider via the MP3 input and playing along, BUT you want to record it to the Spider JAM's internal recording. Can't seem to do it without mono-ising it as a WAV and moving it to the SD card..
  9. Hello, Just got a POD HD 500 off ebay and working my way through it. Downloading tones and saving them with just a little trouble here and there.I have a Boss DR 550 MK II Dr. Rhythm that I have hooked up to the MP3/CD line in on my POD. I cannot get any sound. My question is, is there any specific setting I have to have setup to be able to get this to work? The most I've found is just plug it in and go. All I want to do is play along with it. Thanks for any guidance Smoove
  10. Hi, I've had my spider III, 75watt for a few years now. It's been fine apart from the plastic nut that holds the MP3 line in comes off regularly. however I've made sure it's been locked in fine recently. However after what I can assume to be a power cut a couple of weeks ago, the MP3-in/ Line-in, instead of playing the input aloud it simply sends out a full volume buzzing feedback noise as soon as the jack is in. It doesn't matter if the volume on the input is mute or if the guitar jack is in also, when in only guitar mode it amps it the guitar fine, full range treble to bass. I'm thinking there may be a separate fuse for the MP3-in line, which has now blown maybe? Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and managed to sort it, i'm thinking it's gunna be a take apart job? Any help would be Great! Thanks a lot.
  11. Hello everyone! I read somewhere in this forum that DT Amps don't have a CD/mp3 input. That's right! But... since FX Loop Return is an analog input directly to DT power amp, I can connect a CD/mp3 player jack right there (if I don't need it for the 4 cable method) and i t works fine for jamming along a backingtrack (I've done it). Very important question: Am I damaging anything in DT amp? Thank you for your time. Miguel
  12. Q: I plugged my CD/MP3 Player output to the input jack on my Line 6 amplifier and I am not getting any sound? A:Please confirm that the cable(s) and MP3/CD player are functional outside of working with your amplifier. Be aware that many Line 6 products need to have a 1/4" jack in the instrument input, or the audio send to the speaker will be disabled. A 1/4" to 3.5mm (1/8") adapter tends to work well in this application. Q: Will there be effects on what I plug into the CD/MP3 input? A: The CD/MP3 input routes directly to the speaker, meaning none of the controls affect the signal you feed it. Q: The volume from my CD/MP3 Player is much different than my amplifier preset? A: The volume output of the CD/MP3 Player is determined by the external audio device on most Line 6 amplifiers. Please use the control on the CD/MP3 Player to determine the output volume. Q: My external audio device (i.e. CD/MP3 player) has a different type of audio connected than the 3.5mm jack on my Line 6 unit. How can I get it to work? A: Your output need need to be routed down to a 3.5mm (1/8") jack to be input to the Line 6 unit. Please obtain the appropriate cable and/or adapters to route the audio correctly.
