  1. After struggling with this for a while myself I think I found a consistent and easy way to assign multiple blocks to a footswitch and easily bypass the ones I want bypassed when the footswitch is off with predictable results. This may seem obvious but the previous method I was using always seemed to leave me having to save and go back and play with the bypass states again to get the blocks I wanted coming on and off with the footswitch ring reflecting their state properly. PROCEDURE FOR ASSIGNING MULTIPLE BLOCKS TO A FOOTSWITCH Click the "MODE" footswitch to enter pedal view if you are not already there. Use the joystick to navigate to the block you want to assign to a footswitch. Now touch and hold the footswitch you want to assign to your block to. Do not click or tap the footswitch, just touch it gently and hold it like your favorite toy. After you hold it for a second the "Footswitch Assign" screen will pop up. Hit "OK" to assign the footswitch. Now use the joystick to navigate to the next block you want to assign and repeat step #3. Again, as long as you hold (keep your finger down without lifting) the footswitch rather than tapping it, the new block you are attempting to assign to the footswitch will stay selected and the "Footswitch Assign" screen will pop up. Now repeat step #4. You can repeat steps #2, #3, & #4 for up to 8 block assignments (at least as of this post). Finally, after all your chosen blocks are assigned. You can tap (touch and quickly lift off, don't click) the footswitch you have assigned everything to. Notice this time you are tapping, not touching and holding. Each time you tap the footswitch it will move to the next block that you have in your multiple assignment. Push bypass (or not) for each block assigned depending on whether you want if on or off when the footswitch is engaged. Once you have done this you will notice that you can tap your way through the blocks and the footswitch will light up or go dim according to each block's bypass state. Last but not least, if you want your preset to come up with your multiple assigned footswitch on, make sure that before you save it, you select (using the tap method in step #6) one of the blocks that is not bypassed on the multiple assignment. It does not matter which one of the blocks that is not bypassed you select. The opposite of course applies, if you want your preset to come up with the multiple footswitch dimmed and not selected, make sure you select any one of the blocks that is bypassed. Now save your preset or all your work is for naught! Sheesh, with all that tapping and touching and squeezing this post was starting to remind me of an old Journey tune.
  2. Hey everyone. Im trying to set up my Helix LT to run both acoustic and electric, separate presets for each with electric on wireless feeding the guitar input and the acoustic also on wireless feeding return 1 I can have the input set up as Return 1 on the Acoustic presets and output the 1/4 jack to a DI box. The electric inputs on the Guitar and out the XLRs. that stores per preset which is fine. However I can only have the tuner set to guitar or return 1 but not both... Anyone have a work around without having to use a separate tuner on one of the instruments. Thanks for any help...
  3. Hey Folks, Just starting to get used to my Helix LT. There's only one guitar input on the back panel. Wondering what guys do when using multiple guitars (ie: acoustic and electric) on stage? I've used an AB pedal with my last board but don't really want to have to include one in my setup. Can one of the sends/returns be set up to accept a guitar input? Thanks Randy
  4. So... I'm a little new to this equipment:) I currently have a Line 6 half stack (Spider 2 150w) and a Marshall MG half stack. If I purchase one of the Line 6 Pods (looking at XT Pro).....am I able to output to both of the amps simultaneously.....or can I only output to one amp. Sorry if the answer is obvious.....I've looked through the online manual....but the answer wasn't jumping out at me:) Thanks!! Jamie
  5. Moving a "Multiple" assignment (for example turn on Mutant Filter, turn off compressor) from one footswitch to another requires reassigning up to all eight of your pedals/assignments to the new footswitch instead of moving all of the current assignments at one time. Additionally, if you have a customized name it will be lost and you will have to retoggle in the name again. You also lose the color for the footswitch ring if you had that customized as well. Seems like just moving a multiple assignment to an alternate footswitch should retain all of your pedal/assignment choices, the customized name, and the customized color. The only method I am aware of, makes moving a multiple assigned switch, particularly a customized one more painful than it needs to be as you need to essentially rebuild everything you had assigned to the footswitch from scratch. Is there some other method that moves the whole multiple assignment, name, and color at once? If not, this is a feature that would greatly simplify things and save lots 'o time.
  6. Dear all I am a live musician playing in various bands, quite often using different gear as well. Therefore, I would like to organize my Firehawk patches in a manner, that I can easily refresh my Firehawk using a dedicated bundle of patches for each of my bands. Furthermore, it would be helpful, if I could quickly resequence those patches since in every gig there might be a different sequence of songs etc. I am currently owing and playing a Boss ME-80 which allows me to easily maintain multiple setlists on my PC and 'push it' to the FloorBoard according my actual needs. Any good ideas from the Line6 experts how to do this w/ the Firehawk? Many thanks!
  7. Hey everybody, Is there a way to set up my foot pedal on my Shortboard MKII to be able to switch from Wah to Pitch Shifting on the same preset/patch? Maybe set up Func 1 to be pitch shifting, and Function 2 to be wah? not sure if this is possible.. Thanks, Shawn
  8. I am running the pod HD500 in dual amp mode panned hard left and hard right. Since the dsp is limiting I have an external delay and reverb which I run through the FX loop. How do I set it up to put the fx loop after the amp? It only gives me one FX loop position to use so I can't put one on the left amp and one on the right amp. If I use it on one of the amps it only goes to one side, if I place it after the pre amp it makes it mono sounding. How do I get a stereo FX loop?
