  1. Hi All! I am building a preset in Helix Native and cannot for the life of me figure out how to change a parameter for just one snapshot. Example: I have an IR block that applies to all 5 of my snapshots. However, when switching to a clean sound, I want to boost the Level of the IR a few dB. I know on my Helix Floor, I just push in the parameter knob and it turns that value white. Can this be done in Native? Thanks!!!
  2. Hello guys... I am trying to setup my "rig" but can't make it to work properly. I'm not trying to control 'n' parameters or anything, I just want to change snapshots in a preset. I set a preset in my HxFx and configured 6 switches to be my 6 snapshots. I set them to send CC#69 with values from 0 to 7. When I hit any buttom, if I am listening in Reaper, it shows Micdi channel 1, CC 69. But no values.... Obviously, the snapshots are not being changed in Helix Native. I feel something is missing in Reaper configuration to make ir work properly. Can someone give me some help? Thanks a lot!!!
  3. Guys, hi! Can someone give me some tips on how to control snapshots in Helix Native? I am using my HX Effects and a Maudio Midisport Uno usb cable. In the Hx Effects I can set whatever I want, but I am facing problems to get the right CC and values for snapshot change in Helix Nativa...I am using Reaper. Can someone give some tips on how to set that? I just want to be able to change snapshots, just that. thanks a lot!
  4. I have an LT why do I have to pay over 300 dollars for Native. Am I the only who's calling BS on this ? Hell I'd do 199 but 299 is stupid. Wtf
  5. I'm just trying to "move in" to my user defined preset banks (user 1 etc.) On Helix Floor. Is there no way to copy an entire preset signal path to a new location and use it as a starting point? Does everything have to be built block by block? Would Native allow me to drag and drop things from location to location an thereby "import" them to my floor unit? What gives?
  6. Cakewalk By BandLab is here. Free. Available for Windows now. [4/4/2018] You can read about it here. Cakewalk By BandLab Announcement Not sure how many folks used Sonar, but if people are looking for a power DAW to use Native, Cakewalk (now by Bandlab) is free. I don't know what their future plans are as they have to make money somehow, but for those of us that have been using Cakewalk for 25+ years, this is great news. I just wanted to share that Native works well in this new version of Cakewalk.. really well. at least for me. Also, this is NOT a stripped down version. This is the full-blown, top-o-line Platinum version they have released.
  7. 10 Launch Sonar, go to 'Edit -> Preferences -> File -> VST Settings' 2) Make sure the correct location is added to the VST Scan Paths. The Location of plug-ins files depend on your setting during installation. The default location is 64 bits - C:\Program Files\VstPlugins 3) If the steps above are not working, try the scan button in the Scan options to re-scan the target folders.

    Native Helix

Hi, I bought Native Helix online, and lately I bought a new computer. I would like to use Native both in my laptop and new computer. Hoe could I do it? After I install it in my new one, and my protools always show inactive plug-in(show as attached photo). I installed Native 1.10. Hope someone can help me fix it. Best, Kay
  9. I have been checking Native free trial and noticed that it doesn't work unless I am connected to the internet. Is this normal? Surely if you pay for it you should be able to use it in places that has no internet.
  10. Question. I just started using native in hopes of leaving my rig at our practice spot. I use a Motu 828 mk3 hybrid. And plugged into the instrument input my signal is just too hot. It doesn't clip terribly but it it certain does clip. I have the trim pulled all the way to zero and the only way I can get my signal under is to throw either a compressor or a limiter on it from the effects portion of my card. I don't really like the thought of that as I assume i'm altering the dynamics and certainly the overall tone. Has anyone had a similar problem? What would be the best way to get the signal (for lack of a better term) where it's supposed to be? Thanks!! Matt
  11. Hi guys! I just uploaded this new video. It's a Helix Native demonstration in 9 different styles ranging from clean to 8-string metal. I used different amp models and OwnHammer IR's for each tone. Helix Native is such a wonderful tool and I've been a fan ever since it came out. Working wth this plugin is just so easy and I get great results every single time! If I get enough requests I could do a tutorial for all the tones. Please enjoy:
  12. Helix Native requires an internet connection to initially authorize the license both for the demo and full versions. Once the license has been authorized, you no longer need an internet connection to use the software. But, because of how the authorization works, you do need an NIC (Network Interface Controller) enabled. Do not disable your network card (wireless or LAN) when running Helix Native. If you want run without an internet connection, just unplug your LAN cable or disconnect from your WiFi network.

  16. Hi guys, I installed Helix Native and I am very impressed! I had to make a metal video to see how well this plugin performs in a full band mix and I am VERY impressed. You just can't beat the functionality of this plugin. The fact that you can keep tweaking your Helix settings right until the very end without re-amping is a huge benefit. Not that it needs a lot of tweaking because it already sounds very good with minor tweaking. I'm using an Emperor 4x12 IR for the upcoming Heavy Hitters Collection by OwnHammer. The release of this amazing pack is coming very soon so stay tuned for that. I love this Emperor cab for huge rock and metal tones, it just sounds great. I'm using the C65 speaker option. I believe that's the stock speaker that came in this cab. Hope you enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yI10V7JLeDU
