  1. Hi all, I've just upgraded from Amplifi 150 to FH1500 so I'm not too sure about the input/outputs yet. One reason I upgraded was that I could play both electric and acoustic through the amp. I'm not the sound man in the band and the one that is isn't too happy about line6 but I am. Question; can I plug both electric and acoustic in at the same time? I have an Acoustic with XLR out and a Variax Standard connected with a Line6 G10 so which inputs would I use. That might sound a bit basic, but it would really help if anyone could help. Line 6, user manuals would really help. Stew

Output routing - best of both worlds?

I apologize if this was asked previously elsewhere. I tried perusing the manuals and searching the forums... For the last 4 years, I have been using Guitar Rig with Rig Kontrol live. Honestly, I might still be a happy user if NI would keep their products up-to-date and not discontinue their hardware. I can't do a live show anymore without experiencing bad audio drop-outs and worse. Time to ditch and look elsewhere... One of the cool things I was able to do with GR, however, was route speaker simulation (cab sim, etc.) to ONLY one side of the outputs. My common setup was to run the output with NO cab sim to my on-stage amp, and the output with the cab sim ON to the DI/PA system. The tones were just a little off from each other, but my stage amp has V30's, and so I'd run the V30 cab sim for the house line, and with a little EQ, I was a pretty happy camper. This became the better option, rather than A) Mic'ing the stage cab for the house feed (not a fan), and B] Running the cab sim ON to my amp signal (Redundant yuck.), or C) Using NO cab sim (horrible shrill line out). So obviously, that's my question. Can you, somehow, route the outputs on the HD500X in such a way where the speaker simulation is running to, say, the Balanced XLR output(s) - meanwhile the 1/4" amp outputs disengage any cab sim? Or...is there another option/configuration I'm not aware of that addresses this issue? Thanks for the help!

    Reaper/Windows Question

I've been using Reaper for years on a Mac without much of a problem. However, recently I switched over to a PC and I'm having trouble getting my POD HD500x's output to come through the computer built in output. It was very easy on a Mac, but I'm having trouble making it happen on WIndows 10. I don't want the audio to output to the POD, I want to hear it through the speakers.

POD X3 via USB - No output sound

Hi, I've encountered an audio output problem with my POD X3 Bean - it is connected to my PC via USB with all the latest drivers and utilities installed and updated. The thing is, that Pod Farm gets my guitar signal and indicates that there should be output sounds coming through, but I can't hear a thing. Is there a way to redirect the output to my system's default output (speakers)? I don't have enough cables to make a L/R setup from the POD to my PC, so the USB is my best chance. I didn't hear any of the POD's output sounds when I was messing with ASIO, either - same thing with the Control Panel -> Sounds, although I could hear the signal only when I checked the "Listen to this device" box, with enormous latency. So it's definitely getting and giving a signal, though I have no idea how to get the output playing through my speakers. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  5. Hi, I've got a problem with my new FX100. From the "Phones" output, only the guitar sound comes out, not the bluetooth/streaming music from my tablet (Ipad) ou smartphone (Android). Did I miss something to have both on my headphone ? Thanks for your help
  6. There's lots input and output options with the Firehawk line. Here's a breakdown. First let's look at what's the same on both units. USB port for updating firmware and use as an I/O interface. Variax input for any Line 6 Variax guitars 1/4" Stereo headphones (This will cut the speaker off on the 1500) 1/4" Stereo out XLR Stereo out 1/4" Stereo FX Send and Return Bluetooth Wireless for use with the Firehawk Remote app and any other Bluetooth streaming device Firehawk FX unique: 9VDC input for use with the DC3g power supply 1/4" jack for use with a outboard expression pedal (compatible with Line 6 EX1 and Mission Engineering EP1-L6) Firehawk 1500 unique: IEC power cable jack FBV cable jack for use with FBV 3 or FBV MKII MIDI in and out/thru Check out the Midi implementation chart in the manual for details XLR+1/4" Stereo Combo jacks with Gain Adjustment Knob. This is to be used with any source that you want the 1500 to be a FRFR stereo monitor. Like a Pod, Helix, or even an iPhone to play music.
  7. Hello. Is it possible to connect 2 guitars to the L3t and send only 1 output to the FOH? Here's the scenario: 1 guitarist is using a Kemper and has his own amp. He sends his signal to the FOH through the kemper. However since he is on the other side of the stage, I would like to hear his guitar on my L3t. (sort of a monitor for myself) Now, I'm running my guitar into a Pod Hd Pro X into the L3t and would like to send only my signal to the FOH. (sort of a reference speaker / monitor) The hiccup is that I use stereo patches. Is this possible?
  8. Hi! I am currently using the Line 6 UX2 connected to my computer. I have the audio Technica AT2035 connected to my UX2. In the pod farm interface I get the sound and the waves are showing. But when I am trying to record with UX2 I get no sound. When I try to choose the ux2 in windows (recording, not playback devices) I get no sound. I can't here my microphone in my recordings.
  9. Hi, i'm using the pod xt with a valvestate Marshall 100 watt head and cabinet, and i'd like to know what's the perfect output for my equipment. I know i've got several options, like direct, Studio etc... which one would you recommend me for my marshall amplifier? Thanks.
  10. I bought new line6 ux2 and I install drivers, license and authorized, and install pod farm2 My problem is 1. in farm2 signal is up and down when i play guitar 2. no output sound.... I check windows speaker setting... how can i fix it?
  11. helllo my fellow man, definitely have been dying to create my first pod post and im already a year old user, procrastination is a harlot but uh this here sitiuation had to be brought up to the boys for this here noobeh. thanks aton. so here is my desired signal chain: ---PODHDPRO--crownXLS1500 rack'd amp--PeaveySP-2 600wPA speakers--- First question: shall i run the outputs of the pod hd into the crownXLS using balanced(XLR) or unbalanced(1/4) i plan to use the pa speaker for all around use, from band practice, to live, and to just me riffing off on myself. i want clarity like most and im playing an electric guitar with a back track from desktop btw... Second question: i also have a yamaha emx 640 6channel mixer i could put in the signal chain right after the power amp and then into pa speakers but honestly i have no clue if thats is useless or necessary..? (i have been using studio monitors when writing but im just tired of it sounding like runny shards when i plug into my spider iv combo amp or our other pa system for practice) Third question: would you guys recomend using an old arse pa like the peavey sp-2ti 600w for this setup or should i go with another rig setup approach. i always thought just my pod hd pro to pa system would do but apparently not but im not to sure on this point, so far im just following directions of a god-like guitarist friend of miine (refering to new power amp addition). id like to say the help would be for the greater good lol but i appreciate all who read this.

Question about using the s/pdif out?

Hey all. So I've got a 6 channel interface. I use all 6 inputs for drums. Would I be able to utilize the S/pdif connections on both my interface and the pod? What input, in logic, would I have to pick in order to record what my Pod is sending through the s/pdif?
  13. My UX2 came in a few days ago. I got some decent Bose headphones with a 1/4 inch adapter so I could hook it up to the phones jack, and I noticed something strange. When I plug it in all the way there is no sound or it is at extremely low volume. I've checked knobs and settings and it doesn't make sense why it isn't working. But then, I noticed if I plug in the phones about 3/4 of the way in I can manage to hit a "sweet spot" where the sound actually comes in, but this is bothersome as it doesn't always like staying in place. EDIT: Resolved. It was just a crappy adapter.

    Helix output

Can someone tell me how to connect the helix straight to the mixer . A pictorial representation would be great because i'm a newbie. i want to use helix straight through a mixer .
  15. Hello, I can't find the specifications for my HD500x outputs... Does anyone know what is the impedance and max output of the unbalanced output (at "Combo/Stack power amp" output setting)?

    No Output From HD500

My HD500 is connected to a PA system (with power amplification) via XLR cables, and the other day, the HD500 failed to put create an output signal. The only difference I saw between the time it was working and now is that both of the EXP LED's are lit next to the pedal instead of just one. Pressing on the pedal to try to alternate EXP modes does nothing. I would greatly appreciate any help! Thank you, Jon
  17. I've been using a POD HD500X and Variax through a PA for about 6 months. Yesterday I bought a DT25 combo and my mind was blown by the possibilities. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the whole thing. My rig is at the rehearsal room so I can't test this. Can someone tell me if the following is possible or if there is a workaround. I have the POD connected to the DT25 via L6 LINK. I have the Variax plugged into the POD via VDI. When I was playing with acoustic patches they sounded like crap going through the DT25. Acoustic guitars (even models) never sound good through a guitar amp. Can I specify for the Acoustic patches, that the output is the XLR (to the FOH mixer) and for the guitar patches, the output is the DT25? Is the output setting "GLOBAL" or is it by patch? I thank you in advance for your help. Nick Paonessa
  18. hey... i just expirienced one more problem with my m20d. it seems that monitor "a" dies after 20 minutes of playing. the cables have been checked and the active monitors run very fine on all other monitor outputs of the m20d. suddenly, without any reason, the signal is back on but much too loud and the feedback destroys the running song. this is not cool!! after updating the system to the actual firmware the "screenfreezings" seem to be away but now i got that monitor problem instead. anybody else experienced that problem? since the device is more than 1,5 years old i guess i will have no chance to get it repaired within the guarantee-period. and i'm not willing to pay hundrets of bucks for crappy software-workings. sorry.
  19. I cant get my head round this: I believe i have the amp outputs (via the mixer) panned both centre (see image) but the chorus effect is ONLY audible on the LEFT XLR out, unless i engage the "dynamics" effect which follows (which i understand sums to mono) then i can hear it on the right-XLR. I have input 2 disabled (set to variax) but changing it to "same as input1" makes no difference. Also inserting a mono-summing effect before the amp does not reveal the chorus effect on the right XLR out. I thought the summing and panning on the mixer (after the amp) would effectively run everything L+R equally. can anyone explain please. thanks
  20. I know there's a few topics already on this sort of thing but I am the ultimate n00bie when it comes to this. I was wondering how to go about recording with my HD Pro via my UX2 into my DAW, YES I realise you can record direct with the HD Pro connected via usb to the computer but I heard that you can't re-amp/change tones on the fly once the track is recorded. Here's what I tried POD HD PRO -> (14")OUTPUTS L & R -> UX2 INPUTS L & R - > UX2 -> COMPUTER(via USB) I know I'm clearly doing something majorly wrong here so any advice would be very much appreciated. I'd also like to know if you can open HD Pro Edit in your DAW or simply have to have it open outside of the DAW to record. I know these are probably otherwise stupid questions but forgive me, I'm used to recording with the simplistic luxuries of pod farm. ALSO Is there a way to record both dry and wet signals(simultaneously of course) in your DAW(mine is mixcraft 6.... I know) without connecting the HD Pro via an interface?
  21. Sound Sample Below https://soundcloud.com/haeya/help Hi, This is my first time recording with an audio interface and I'm finding it very stressful.... I was struggling with this problem for the whole day!!! please help :( when I play and record guitar in clean channel, it turns out to be really distorted.. (Sound Sample Above) I tried to find out what's wrong... but I have no idea. I found out that when I play, the dB level needle shoots to the maximum point. I tried to lower the output, but it's the same whether the output is 0 or max. Is this normal? What's the purpose of the output knob? Also, after playing a note/chord for a second, the needle drops down again, so the recording cuts off quickly. No sustain. When I play a note lightly, it doesn't even catch it. I am really frustrated. I doubt(try not to believe) that my UX2 is broken because this was in "like new" condition in an open box; the previous owner never used it. But still, could this be a mismanufactured product? the dB measuring and the output levels... are just so weird! Really tired and lost.. Please help! :( I would really appreciate it.. Thank you
  22. Hi there, I used to connect the unbalanced 1/4" OUT of my HD500X into the line input of my M-Audio M-Track. With this configuration I was able to adjust the gain one the soundcard linearly, using the whole stroke of the knob. Now I'm using the HD500X connected with the M-Track with the XLR balanced outputs and with this configuration the first 3/4 of the gain knob have no influence on the signal, only the last 1/4 daoes, and it's obviously very sensitive. I don't know if it's a soundcard issue or if there are differences in POD signal using balanced vs unbalanced outputs. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance

Pod Hd500 Low Recording Output (usb)

Hey guys, first time post. I'm using the POD HD500 to record in Ableton via USB, just as a standard interface, and I'm getting really low output volumes. I've tried tweaking things and maxing out both the master and amp volumes but nothing works. It will sound fairly loud when playing back, and the right volume when listening to it through the headphones I have connected, but when I export it the guitar track is barely audible. This has happened with both Reaper and Ableton so I know it isn't the software itself. any reccomendations? At max output I am getting around -18 Db
  24. Hi all, Just got the sonic port vx, and am really excited about it, but I have been unable to get any output from the 1/4" L (mono) output while going to a guitar amp . My setup is : iPhone 5s or iPad 4th gen on IOS8+ to sonic port via lightning cable, guitar to input, and L 1/4" output to Vox AC30. After I make all the connections, I open up Mobile POD, and I see a signal going into the phone/ipad, but am unable to get a signal out to the amp. I can plug in headphones into the sonic vx, and hear sound, but nothing through the mono output. Am I doing something wrong?
  25. Hi! I just got a used POD XT Pro and I am looking to get a floorboard for it for live use. I was just curious if it was possible for the two outputs [XLR and PL] of the POD XT Pro can have separate cab/mic settings. I am asking this because given the gigging situation in the Philippines, it may be a good thing to have a cab-sim'd signal out to the PA board and a non-cabsim'd [but amp-modeled] out going to the house guitar amp's FX return. Using this system, I would route the non-cab'd sim to the PL outs, while the XLR outs would be cab-sim'd and be routed to the PA. Is it possible on the POD XT Pro, or even the POD XT Live? If not, is this feature possible on the newer HD series? Thanks!
