  1. Hi, A few years back I was working on a track in Ableton on a PC. I recorded dry guitars through Gear Box Stereo, then added Pod Farm as a VST for tones. Now I am in a different country from that PC, I have a Mac and I have my old files. I have opened the session, it tells me it can't find Pod Farm or GearBox . I have deauthorized my old computer, authorised this one, downloaded a bunch of stuff (PodFarm 2.0. GearBox etc) Ableton will see the folders with all those things in them but won't recognise any files, only folder names, so won't let me drag anything onto a track and still says it can't find Pod Farm or GearBox Stereo. I try dragging the old .dll files from my windows hard drive across to the Mac but maybe these are Windows only .dll files, I don't know. What are the steps I need to take to get my Mac Ableton to open up Pod Farm and play the old patches I had? P.S. I don't have any of my line6 equipment with me, it's in another country, so Line6 Monkey doesn't want to hear about it. :) Any help appreciated.
  2. I just bought my Firehawk FX! In all the reviews I hear about how you can use IOS, Andoird, MAC or PAC to control your Firehawk FX. I cannot seem to find any PC software to do as such. Please tell me if I am searching for a non-existent item. Or share a link to where I can get this gem? Thanks -Ernie
  3. I'm just starting guitar, so sorry if I sound dumb about this, but currently I have a Line 6 Spider IV 15 and I would really like to know how, or if I can connect it to my PC to use Monkey and the various other Line 6 softwares, thanks!
  4. When I plug my Amplifi 75 into my pc via USB I get a buzzing sound. There isn't a constant buzz but any time a sound comes through from either the guitar or something played on the PC the sound crackles. I really want to do some recording but this makes it sound horrid. The USB cable works fine with my Toneport UX2 and everything else. Thanks
  5. Hey there! I have a Line 6 POD HD 500. I've been trying to connect it to my PC to record and edit and all those things. The problem's that the PC does not recognize the POD. I've already downloaded hundreds of support files and installed them and there's no response. So, as I went to the POD to the "System and I/O" screen, is shown that the "USB Firmware version is 0.00!" Is there anything I might do to solve this? I've tried with monkey and donwnloaded drivers but the POD is just not recognized. Thanks!
  6. Hi. POD X3 Live (and I would not be surprised if ALL MULTI EFFECTS) - terrible Hissing pb. Just found the root cause but don't know how to solve it. My device is connected via USB to the PC. The device is also connected to external sound card in stereo using 2x 1/4 cables. In fact there is a loop POD==>USB==>PC==>sound card==>POD. HISS occurs in that very construct even if POD is not plugged to the transformer power supply !!! The hiss is EMI induced (electro magnetic interference) from electrical source which ever it is (probably computer) If I break the loop in any way, EMI induced hiss stops. for instance, keep POD==>1/4 cables==>sound card plugged and disconnect USB ========> no more HISS. Keep PC==>USB==>POD plugged and disconnect 1 of the 2 1/4 cable = 2fold less hiss ; the 2 cables ====>no more HISS. What I am not sure is whether loop can be broken using solid and shielded 1/4 cables. Any help appreciated. DIMEBAG.
  7. Hi all! This may be a silly question, but I've upgraded my hdd to an ssd and I have to format my pc to have the OS run through the ssd now. I also have a UX2 that came with a Pod farm 2 licence and so far everything works just fine. Do I need to do anything before I format my pc ? I mean will the licence be transfered automatically or do I have to unistall something before the format and re-install it afterwards? Thanks in advance!
  8. do i just use a usb midi cable because i want to use pod farm with the downloadable plugins guitar > pod 2 > usb midi > pc > pod farm is that how it works or do i need something else
  9. Here is how to update the Firehawk FX step by step: For Windows 7, 8, or 10 systems, please start with step 1. For OSX 10.8 and up, skip to step 8. 1. In order for your computer to see the Firehawk you will need to install the driver for the device to your computer. open a web browser and navigate to line6.com/software and select Product: Firehawk FX Software: Drivers from the drop down menus at the top of the page. 2. Pick the top selection from the next page by selecting "Get Download". 3. Accept the terms. 4. If in Windows, choose the run option and run the installer or navigate to the downloads window and run the installer. Pressing Control + J will bring up the downloads menu in most windows browsers, alt + command + L for Safari on Mac. 5.Disconnect your Firehawk from the computer if it's connected via USB and run the installer. 6. In the installer make sure the drivers from the Firehawk have a green check. Click next until the installer completes. 7. Reconnect Hardware when prompted and let Windows assign the driver. Now your computer will be able to communicate properly with the Firehawk. Make sure the Firehawk is turned on attempting when this. 8. Now, lets download the updater utility. Open your web browser, navigate back to line6.com/software and select Line 6 Updater under the software drop down menu. 9. Select get download under the top selection: 10. Accept the agreement. 11. If in Windows, choose the run option and run the installer or navigate to the downloads window and run the installer. Pressing Control + J will bring up the downloads menu in most windows browsers, alt + command + L for Safari on Mac. OIr the installer will be in your downloads folder. 12. Run the installer for Line 6 updater. 13. In the installer make sure Updater has a green check, click next until the installer completes. 14. Run Line 6 updater from the start menu on WIn 7, Applications Folder on a Mac, or C:/Program Files (86)/Line 6 on Windows 8. 15. Accept the agreement. 16. Login to Updater with your username and password from the Line 6 website. 17. Select the Firehawk. 18. Select the latest version of flash memory. This is always the top selection. 19. NOTE: This part of the updater explains how to reset the Firehawk if it should fail. You can refer to the image here for instructions if that should ever happen. Click Next to Proceed. 20. Wait for the progress bar to complete. 21. Updater will let you know when the update is complete.
  10. Greetings Line6-Community, I want to use my POD HD500 as a USB interface for my PC, instead of using my bulit in soundcard. The only problem for me is, that I need separate outputs for the PC-Sounds and the Inputs (in my case: Guitar via "Guitar IN" and microphone via "AUX IN"). Is it possible to get the PC Signal through the "phones output" and separatley the inputs through the "1/4 L/R Outputs"? Thanks advance for your help! ^_^
  11. Hi guys, just got a HD500 and was wondering how to set it up so I can listen through my PC while I'm recording. I'm going to be using Reaper and have a vista PC. Is It possible and if it is could you guys help me with settings etc. Many thanks.
  12. Hi All - first ever post from me. I play Guitar and Bass at home through my PC via an old Guitarport interface with Gearbox. I simply play for pleasure and play along with MP3 backing tracks. My question is - is there a better PC-based rig? can I upgrade and to what?? I look at Pod Farm and wonder how complicated it is compared to gearbox - has anyone traded up from Guitarport and have the sounds been better? Thanks in advance, Pyrolator
  13. I have a POD HD500 that i have just recently bought. I have previous experience with this pedal, but have never run into an issue like this one. I will do my best to explain this without getting anyone confused. I have 2 Computers. A custom build and a factory built Dell. The POD HD500 drivers will not properly install on my custom built PC, but install perfectly fine on the factory built Dell. The custom built computer is my primary computer and the one I am wanting to use for recording. This issue is very odd to me because i have previously had a friends HD500 connected to the custom built pc for 3 months and it worked fine. I haven't made any changes to the computer since then. I have tried installing the drivers as administrator, tried every USB port (which all work fine for any other devices). My PC recognizes the POD HD500 in the device manager, but is not recognized in Line 6 Monkey or HD500 Edit. I am at a loss and would appreciate any helpful advice.
  14. hi there, i just installed protools 10 in to my pc and had some problems with the asio controller and with asingnig the out put trough the pod studio UX2, the input is fine tough, can some one tel me if it is compatible with the ux2??
  15. Hi, purchased Sonic Port and AudioBus for use with GarageBand on my iPhone 4. But to my disappointment have discovered that this marriage of apps isn't supported by Apple. Upgrading to iphone 4s isn't an option. Therefore, I'd like to use Sonic Port on my PC along with POD Farm. The problem is that Sonic Port only has connectors for the 30 pin or Lightening. I have found adapters online which would allow me to covert the male 30 pin to a male usb for connection to my PC. Before I go and waste even more money, I want to know if this hardware "solution" will allow me to use Sonic Port with my desktop. Thank you.
  16. Hello guys. I bought line 6 ux2 and I want to hear my guitar through my pc speakers. How can I connect them?
  17. Hi everybody, I have already posted this topic on the old forum without results (link) For a couple of years my pod xt live worked fine. Unfortunately now it works only as a guitar effect, but when I try to hear what I've recorded (with any software, I use cakewalk or audiacity) all the sounds are really horrible (like over distorted). I noticed that it distorts the same way everytime I use the Pod as sound card (so when I use it in playback to hear what I played, obviously, the result is horrible). The main problem I have is that since I can not use it as a sound card I can not hear any sound while the soundtracks are playing... technical data: - Windows xp - Pod xt live + usb cable to pc + software + Gearbox + cakewalk / audiacity - all drivers Updated up till now. very important: No problem with other computers, so this is related to my pc (settings, drivers... I really don't know). Thanks folks!
  18. good evening. does anybody know if a chart with all the default settings (effects & co.) exist for POD XTs? something like below: preset comp (gate) stomp mod delay cab/ a.i.r. 2A off off off off on 2B on on on off on 2C on off off off off 2D off off off off on i'd need that to program better a Behringer FCB1010 UnO and, due to midi messages exchange, i need to know which ones are active in each preset, to avoid sending every midi message at changing bank/preset.
  19. Q: I'm on a Windows PC. Why does Line 6 FBV Control or POD HD Edit (300/400/500) programs "hang" at the logo screen and never go past this startup splash image? A: Users who have "virtual MIDI Cable" software (a known example is: Hurchalla Maple) installed on their systems may experience a stalled state where the FBV Control or POD HD Edit program logo appears onscreen and the program remains "stuck" trying to load. Please uninstall your virtual MIDI Cable software application and then try re-launching the FBV Control or POD HD Edit program. If you need to have a virtual MIDI Cable program running on your system, please consider using LoopBe1: http://www.nerds.de/data/setuploopbe1.exe or Bome's MIDI Translator Pro: http://www.bome.com/products/miditranslator
