  1. Anyone else have problems receiving MIDI messages into the USB input from other MIDI over USB pedals? I'm using a DA Electronics iCtrl-R Mini and with the Helix floor, HX Stomp, and PodGO using USB connections, I get nada. All settings for Trasnmitting/receiving MIDI over USB are correct. 3. Hi guys, well ive got some troubles with my Helix Lt recently, i found that the big Volume Knob its controlling the position value of the pedal blocks (Volume blocks and Wah blocks) and then when i move the pedal up and down it doesnt work. No matter what i do, i tried deleting the blocks and add them again and it still not working. I suspect if is the famous issue with the breaking Helix Lt pedal? What can it be? Here is a video where is shown what happens exactly: https://m.facebook.com/groups/1730763273911707?view=permalink&id=2719353501719341

  5. Hey guys, So I have a HX Stomp, a few pedals and a Laney IRT with an FX loop. What I would love to be able to do, is run the setup using the 4 cable method, but also incorporate my existing pedals, but I am just having a little trouble wiring it all up. I have checked the forum, and watched some really helpful videos on YouTube on the 4CM and the stomp, but haven't found anything directly related to this setup I'm not sure whether I'm asking too much to get this all set up right or if its even possible, but is there a way to be able to have the HX stomp connected to my amp via 4cm, so I can use some effects before and after the Laney, but also have a my other pedals in the chain so my OD pedal is before the amp, and my reverb & delay pedals are after the amp too? I'm currently hooked up like this : Guitar => OD pedal => HX Stomp Guitar input // Hx stomp L out => Amp guitar input. Then it goes from the Laney FX send => Echo pedal => Reverb pedal => Looper => Laney FX return. This so far sounds good, I can use the drive effects and others from the stomp, but its all fed into the front of my amp. I like the flexibility of being able to use the onboard amp sims if I can because they sound great! I would really appreciate any help from anyone who has a similar set up, or knows that I'm just talking rubbish and it will never work haha! Thanks!
  6. Hi everyone, I hope you can help me. My Uber Metal line6 pedal is not turning on. The light goes green and immediately it goes red, flashes red a couple of times and goes off. I tried with a battery and a 9v adapter but the same thing happens. Any help is appreciated!
  7. Hey guys, I'm still getting used to the transition to using a multi effects unit after being used to pedals for a long time. I know generally to dial in a sound on an unfamiliar pedal you 'start at 12 O'clock and go from there.' My question is when you load an effect, are the control parameters considered "12 O'clock" when the bar graphic is half full, or when the knob is in it's default state. Thank you!!
  8. I have a problem with the volumen pedal, if I move it all, all the drive parameter of the cabinet is moved automatically to 50%. I updated the firmware to the 1.30 v and also downgraded to the original version, but the problem was not fixed. Even the pedal calibration was done. You can see the problem on the video. does any body has the same problem? Is there any solution available?
  9. Hi Guys, Would like to know if there's a way in POD HD 400 to assign an effect in the footpedal (Volume/Wah pedal) Ex. I can assign and control the level of delay, echo, modulation etc. in the pedal.. Thank you
  10. I'm trying to power my Firehawk and another small stomp box off the same PSU. The Firehawk one says it is good for 3000mA, which in my experience (having powered multiple stomp boxes from a single 1000mA supply in the past) should be enough for the Firehawk and then some, but when I try to daisy-chain the power with a splitter cable I get horrible hum/digitial whine on my signal. One usual cause for this is drawing too much power from one PSU by connecting multiple pedals, but like I say I've had several pedals happily powered from one 1000mA supply in the past, so my question is, how much power does the Firehawk actually draw, and is my over-drawing of current the reason behind this hum/whine, or it is something else (like a ground loop issue or my splitter cable needing to be grounded better or something)?? I'd love to know because I'd rather not have to take up TWO spots on my power strip just to power my Firehawk and a tuner pedal or something....
  11. In my past I managed to achieve a really nice distorted tone with the POD Screamer. Recently I tried to recreate that tone with real pedals and noticed that it sounded nothing like that which shouldn't be a suprise because the Pod-Screamer has Bass and Treble controls which the real Tube Screamer doesn't have. So what exactly is the real model of the POD-Screamer? The only thing I found with Bass and Treble controls is the ''Boss ODB-3 Bass OverDrive'', ''Ibanez TSB9'' and a Behringer-Copy of the Boss. I wouldn't mind buying one of these pedals but I don't really know if they do the same as the POD-Screamer since they're all bass pedals. Any experiences or suggestions (except buying and trying :D) ?
  12. POD Go is fully compatible with the Line 6 EX-1 and Mission Engineering's EP1-L6 external expression pedals. Other pedals may work with POD Go, although they may not be fully compatible or tested, such as the Dunlop DVP1XL. In some cases, the pedals internal dip switches may need to be adjusted to ensure proper polarity. If you experience trouble with inaccurate expression pedal swing, try adjusting any internal or external dip switches the pedal may have. Also note that any expression pedals that appear to work backwards can be set to work properly by setting Global Settings > Switches/Pedals > EXP 2 Polarity to “Inverted.”
  13. Good Day Everyone. Been recording with my pedal successfully for years using the USB out on the pedal. Need to start recording using a 2nd DI box track but have not purchased one or small interface yet. I have an older P.C. with no capture card. Just USB and the standard 1/8" audio and video jacks Can you record your tone track and a separate plain tone track simultaneously to two tracks(on your recording software) from the line 6 pedal using just the USB out? If not Opt#1(without DI box) just interface Is it possible you can send the tone signal via (1/4" out) to an interface, then send a separate signal via (XL out) to the interface, then to the P.C to record on two different tracks? Or will i have to buy both the Interface and the DI box to accomplish this? Any incite will be greatly appreciated. Cheers Rick
  14. Hi all, I know theres a million questions about the pedals not working on these boards, and a simple calibration always seems to solve it. I have just purchased an HD500X used, and the pedal seems to work intermittently. It will work pretty good for 5 minutes or so then just stop working entirely. I have tried calibrating it, but when it goes to testing it the scale just sits at 0 instead of moving through to 255. I can not get it to register any sort of input at this point. Any ideas on what could be causing it, if it is hardware or software related? Any responses and advice are much appreciated!
  15. Hi, My POD HD500 is great! The sound is good, and everything seems to be working well, except for the expression pedal. It's really not TOO big of a problem, more of a nuisance. When the pedal (whether a whammy, or wah, or whatever) is up it's fine, but when I push the top down to get a full whammy effect, it wont stay at the +24.0 unless I push down. For instance if I lift my foot off the pedal and leave it pressed down, the octave will drop to like +23.4 or +23.5. So the only way I can get the +24.0 octave sound is if I leave my foot pressed down on the pedal. You don't really notice it with the wah, but with the whammy it sounds pretty bad. Is there anyway to fix this problem? Thank you, Marty
  16. Hi, I'm pretty new to music hardware. I got an e guitar and I want to record on my MacBook in GarageBoard. I'm interested in buying the Pod HD 500, because it has an audio interface and pedal controls, but I don't know if I can use those to toggle effects on the virtual pedal board in GarageBand itself. I know the Pod HD 500 offers own effects, but I would prefer to use software effects to bypass any limitations like limited RAM on the device itself and I'm not interested in live performances anyways. I know that the foot switches can send MIDI signals and I found some indication that this should be possible in the manual, but I seek confirmation by any experts before I buy it. It would be very helpful to get fairly simple explanation how this can be done. Thank you so much!

A: For troubleshooting steps about Bluetooth connectivity and usage check out our Bluetooth Connectivity FAQ HERE. Q:What should I do If I am experiencing connection issues with the AMPLIFi Remote app when I switch back and forth between apps on my iOS device? A: An important thing to note about the AMPLIFi Remote app functionality is that in addition to the iOS Bluetooth connection between your AMPLIFi FX100 and your iOS device, there is a secondary 'sync' connection between the amp and the app. Each time you minimize/close the app, the connection between the AMPLIFi Remote app and the AMPLIFi FX100 will need to be re-established, even if your iOS device is reporting that the AMPLIFi FX100 is connected via 'Bluetooth'. In this case, re-opening the AMPLIFi Remote app, will automatically re-establish the connection within a few seconds. Make sure to look at the main menu of the AMPLIFi Remote app and wait for it to indicate that your AMPLIFi FX100 is 'connected' before moving forward using the app. If it does not automatically re-connect, close the AMPLIFi Remote app by double-tapping your iOS home key and then sliding the AMPLIFi Remote app window up and off the screen to fully close the app. Then relaunch the AMPLIFi Remote app and it should re-sync itself with the AMPLIFi FX100. Android devices usually have a button that lists all open programs where you can slide the app left or right to close it. Then relaunch the AMPLIFi Remote app and it should re-sync itself with the amp. Q:Can the AMPLIFi Remote App stream songs that are stored in iCloud and not on my iOS device? A:The AMPLIFi Remote App can only play back songs that are stored on your iOS device. Within the AMPLIFi Remote App settings, you can enable 'Hide Songs Not On Device' so that you only see songs that are stored on your iOS device when playing music from your Library. The Android app does not have this setting, but still only plays back songs stored on the device. Q:How can I search for a specific tone if I don't have the song or artist in my Library? A: To search for a specific tone, go to your Library within AMPLIFi Remote and pick any artist, then one of their albums, and then any song. This will begin to play the song and present you with a list of tones that match the song that is playing. You can then swipe down from the top of the tone list to unveil a ‘Search Tone Cloud’ field where you can search for an artist or song name to find tones without having the song or artist in your library. Q: Can I use the AMPLIFi Remote app to load or edit tone files from my other existing Line 6 products? A: The AMPLIFi Remote app is only compatible with tone files created from the AMPLIFi FX100, AMPLIFi 75 or 150 amplifiers. Q: Can I use the AMPLIFi Remote app with a Line 6 Mobile In or Sonic Port? 18. I have a problem with the POD HD 500X. I'm normally playing at home then I want to change from the EXP1 to EXP2 to use the Wah effect, but the POD shuts down and it begins to restart over and over again without starting. Waht could it possibly be? FX overuse? Wrong calibration?
  19. Last week the exp pedal on my LT started getting tighter and tighter, and today it just stopped working. The pedal is still tight, and although it goes up and down it just stopped working (the click to swap between exp 1 and 2 is still fine). The pedal being tight shouldn't be much of an issue, probably fixable if i loosen up the screw on the side, but I think this looks like a problem with the optical sensor of the exp pedal. As far as I know we don't have any official line 6 customer service here in Spain and I bought it used, so no warranty whatsoever. Trying to come up with some DIY solutions, so I would love to hear your feedback Cheers!
  20. I bought a used POD X3 Live some time ago, but was never able to get any sound out of it. The outputs seemed completely dead—no hum, hiss, or anything. I just now reinstalled the latest firmware (not an update, just a reinstall) and I can finally get sound, but it still behaves very strangely. When I switch to patch A, B, C or D, the LED next to the pedal indicates Volume mode, but no sound comes out in any pedal position. If I manually click the pedal into Wah mode, sound comes out, but the pedal doesn't affect either the Wah or the Volume! I found some online discussion of problems with the pedal, but nothing definitive. Anybody know about this?
  21. Hi, I use an external FX pedal on my HX Stomp and I have problem with the pedal position vs. FX range. I don't know why but my pedal range is not matching the FX range of a module like a WAH. What I mean is that on heel-position the FX range is at 0% then at about halfway the pedal (so 50% heel/50% toe) the FX range is at 100% and when I go further towards toe-position the FX range moves back to 0% when I'm at 100% Toe-position. I want to have the FX range match the pedal range, so heel=0% FX range and Toe=100% FX range. I've been through the settings but the only setting I could find is the MAX and MIN FX level for the module but this is not related to the pedal-position Can anyone please advise how to achieve this? Thanks in advance
  22. Hi everyone, I am new in this forum. My name is Jean-Michel, I compose as one-man death-metal band Mindkiller. I have since a few weeks a Vetta II HD, and I my guitar is a LTD MH400NT with EMG 81-85. I use the preset "Chaotic Bottom", so a mix between Mesa and 5150 and I record through garage band. I am not very satisfied with the sound when I record, as I would add more "chunck" and attack in my sound. I was thinking about mixing the preset with an extern pedal but I am not sure how to do it. At the back of the head, I find two entry for external loop. Do I need 2 stereo cables, then classically add my external pedal ( in this case a old Metal Zone, as I saw a video of Ola Englund from the Haunted showing a very impressive sound with this pedal combined with a Randall amplifier ), then press "loop" at the front of the head ? Thank you for your advices! For people interested to hear a few riffs, check the video at the front page of my project : https://mindkiller-band.jimdo.com Best regards, Jean-Michel
  23. Hello All, I am a fairly new Helix Floor and Helix Native owner and am wanting to purchase one or two Mission Engineering expression pedals for wah and other effects while using the built-in Helix expression pedal for volume. There appears to be two different models that are offered for Line 6 products (SP1-L6H and the EP1-L6). The only difference I can tell is the ability to use the toe switch to turn the effect(s) on and off. This is exactly what I am looking to do, but the SP1-L6H only seems to be fully-functional with the Helix Rack. The EP1-L6 appears to be for other Line 6 products without the toe switch feature. Since the SP1-L6H is designed specifically for the Helix, will I be able to use this pedal to turn wah on and off without having to dedicate the a stomp button on the Helix Floor itself? My assumption is no since there is not an expression pedal switch input on the Helix Floor. Just want to to confirm. I appreciate anyone's help. Thank you. Thanks, David
  24. Note: The Flextone II was released in 2000 and replaced by the Flextone III in 2003. The Flextone II is now a Legacy Product. Application Q: What are the presets on my Flextone II amplifier? A: The Flextone II are available from the manual download section. If you would like to return your unit to the original presets, please perform a factory reset (see the trouble shooting section). Q: What editing software works with the Flextone II? A: Line 6 Edit allows the deep editing of all the Flextone II presets. Line 6 Edit FAQ Q: How can I control my Flextone via MIDI? A: Please check the Appendix C on your Pilot's Handbook, you will have a list of MIDI program changes and their relation with the Flextone channels. So channel 1A would recall program 1 on your MIDI device. You can either overwrite program 1 on your device with the effects you want to use with channel 1A or you can go to the preset you want to use and internally reassign that preset to MIDI program 1 (if your device offer that option). You can also set the Expression pedal on a MIDI controller to the MIDI CC# you wish to control - for example if you want to control the Delay Mix with it set the CC# to 34. Q: How is the Flextone II different from the Flextone I? Are the older Flextone I amp models changed in any way, software-wise? A: The Flextone II XL has more amp models, more editing capabilities, XLR outs, external speaker outs, improved tone, and an improved power amp stage. The models in the Flextone II are changed from the Flextone I models. The new models match exactly the models in the POD 2.0, so that patches made on one are completely interchangeable with the other. Q: How can I find out which cabinet models are used by default for the amp models? A: Hold down the save and tap tempo buttons at the same time and switch between the cabinet models. The manual button will flash off when the selected cabinet model is passed on the knob. Q: What are the secondary functions for each of the Flextone II's knobs? A: The secondary function for each of the Flextone II's knobs is as follows: DRIVE: Drive Boost on/off BASS: Delay Feedback (how many times it repeats) MIDDLE: Delay Amount TREBLE: Presence on/off CHANNEL VOLUME: Volume Boost on/off REVERB: Noise Gate on/off EFFECT TWEAK: Tap Tempo time Q: How can I control the "Delay Level" on my Flextone II when using the Delay in conjunction with another effect? A: The Delay Level and Delay Feedback can be adjusted on the Flextone II by holding down the TAP TEMPO button and turning the MIDDLE knob for Delay Level and the BASS knob for Delay Feedback. Q: Will the delay feedback on the Flextone II series repeat indefinitely if it is turned all the way up? A: Yes. The delay feedback on the Flextone II series will repeat indefinitely if it is turned all the way up. To turn the delay feedback on the Flextone II all the way up, simply hold down the TAP TEMPO button while turning the BASS knob to 10. Setup/Connections Q: Does the Flextone II have a line out? A: The Flextone II has a headphone jack that doubles as a good direct out. To utilize it properly, you should use a stereo-to-dual mono insert cable and use it as a stereo out into 2 channels on your mixer/recorder. If you need XLR direct outs, you may want to check into a Flextone Plus or XL. Q: Which Line 6 floor controller(s) can I use with the Flextone II? A: Either the FB4 or Floorboard will control the Flextone II, but we recommend the Line 6 floorboard. Please be aware that the Line 6 Floorboard and FB4 are no longer in production but may still be special ordered or found through used gear dealers. Q: Does the Flextone II have an effects loop? A: Yes, the Flextone II has a stereo unbalanced effect loop, located before the Master volume. Q: What is an effect loop used for? A: An effect loop is used for 'line-level' input and output level devices. Many rack mount effect units are line level units, while most guitar effects are 'instrument level' units meant to be run between the instrument and the amplifier. Q: Can I connect an external pre-amp (i.e. Line 6 POD unit) to the Flextone II? A: You can connect an external preamp into the front of the unit or the effects loop return of the Flextone II. Be sure to use a ¼" dummy jack in the instrument input to send the amplifier output to the speakers. Q: How should I connect my speaker cabinet(s) to the Flextone II? A: : Please see the following document (or your manual) for more information on connecting cabinets to your Flextone II. Cabinet Connection and Ohm F.A.Q. Q: What speakers are used in the Flextone II? A: The Flextone II amplifiers shipped with Line 6 "tubetone" speakers, which were manufactured by Celestion. The speakers are 80 watts and either 8 or 16 ohms. See the Line 6 Store for replacement speakers. Registration/Warranty Q: What is the warranty on the Flextone II? A: The warranty on the Flextone II is twelve months from the date of purchase. Q: How can I register my Flextone II? Product Registration F.A.Q. Troubleshooting/Service Q: How can I check the version of software on a Flextone II? A:* Hold down the C button as you power up. The D channel will flash and then the SAVE channel will flash. The number of D flashes = X The number of Save flashes = .X So if the D flashes twice and the SAVE button flashes twice, your version is 2.2. Q: My guitar's sustain is cut off after several seconds. Is there a way to stop this? A: This is likely because of the noise gate on the Flextone II. To turn it off, hold the Tap Tempo button and turn the Reverb knob down. To turn it back on, hold Tap and turn the Reverb knob up. Q: How do I perform a factory reset on my Flextone II? A: The factory reset for a Flextone II is to hold the A B C D Buttons while powering the amp. Q: My amplifier will not store presets anymore. What can I do? A: We use a 3v lithium coin cell battery in the Flextone II to store the user presets, a common replacement is the Panasonic BR2325-1HG. The current battery will need to be de-soldered and replaced with a new battery. If you are not confident in doing this replacement, it should be performed by an authorized Line 6 Service Center. Q: My amp seems to be malfunctioning. What can I do as an end user? Line 6 Amp Troubleshooting Q: Where can I download a Flextone II manual? A: Line 6 Manuals
