  1. hello , I have this doubt , I am not managing to connect my old overdrive pedal to add to my amplifi FX100 , I wonder if that bracket supports this because I have a few pedals like to add along with the FX100 in pedalboard . Greetings from Brazil.
  2. hello going to buy a Digitec Jamman Stereo looper/phrase pedal and would like to know if there is no risk to connect the preamp out of spidervalve mk2 212 to the in of the pedal and the out of the pedal to the power amp in. the reason is so i could record a loop with different effects from the amp (clean for example) and play a live lead with other fx parameters (distortion... ) is it safe? thanks in advance
  3. Just bought a Amplifi TT and I've been asking a bunch of question on this forum while I'm all antsy waiting for it to arrive. Could I use the "AMP Out" port on this thing to plug it into a physical guitar pedal and then go from that into a physical speaker cabinet? I was thinking about doing this with my volume pedal to simulate having it be the last item on a pedal board instead of the first.
  4. As far as I can tell so far, there is no way to backup the entire contents of the Firehawk? I have not connected it yet to PC but I think that is just for recording purposes. Has anyone checked this out? Also I did not realize when I bought my Firehawk, that you can write or "copy" over the factory settings, and once you do that, that particular patch is gone for good unless you do a full factory reset which will likely wipe out any settings of your own in the unit itself. Then, you are left to download one by one all the patches you have saved to "My Tones" Am I correct on all the above??? I would like to know the individual factory patches are available for download just in case I want to reload it. Any help is appreciated!! Also, this is my review of the Firehawk at this point: First, it is a bright brassy sounding unit. It's great for a lot of distortion tones but to me does not appear to be designed for a straight guitar sound like you would use for a straight rhythm or Country Music style leads. Also to me, even a lot of the distortion patches are brassy sounding. That is my conclusion so far after a couple hours of playing with the settings. Consider also this is my opinion in the way that I am connecting the unit. I am only running the mono out directly into my old solid state Peavey Special 130 amp. Running thru a tube amp or sound system may make a big difference but I still think this unit is very bright and digital sounding. I have been trying to find a "warm" tube amp straight sound. The way I was finally successful in getting very close was to start with an unedited "User" patch that you will find at 30.A. Then I added and edited Eq. and compression, delay and reverb, possibly noise gate if you want. Doing this was faster and easier than trying to edit an existing factory patch. I was considering returning the unit until I figured this out because it is just too bright sounding to me. I am still using my old old Digitech RP 10 and I think it sounds better than the new wonderful Firehawk. Just my 5 cents worth, but I still have a mountain of editing to do with the Firehawk. In all fairness, the RP10 was pretty digital sounding also until I eventually tweeked in the right amount of compression and e.q. for my taste, but over the years I have been very satisfied with it. I do think however that the Firehawk is actually worse in that respect. Hard to believe in this advanced stage of electronic evolution we live in. I'm not convinced we have totally overcome the need for tubes! Thanks all!!! Jay
  5. New here and been searching the threads for bag or case solution for my 500x. I added an extra mission exp pedal and use a poly tune pedal also. I'm wondering if anyone has an suggestions for either a soft bag to pack up my gear or a hard case to just open up and use on stage? I know that's 2 questions in one but hoping someone can sway me one way or another. Thanks!
  6. Hey people, I just bough the HD 500X. I want to run a couple of pedals before my POD ( a Real Tube drive and Marshall Guv'nor ). Will this be a problem ? I don't want to damage my unit, so I figured I would ask first. Thanks for the help gang...
  7. Hey guys, noob question. I've been playing guitar for a few years as a hobby, but I've been using a Line 6 Pod XT Live multi effects pedal. I recently started experimenting with my Line 6 Spider III which has built in distortion settings, and I prefer it's sound over my effects pedal. I have been looking into buying individual pedals, but I have a few questions regarding which pedals to buy. Most of the articles I've read say that an Overdrive, Distortion, and Fuzz pedal are necessary for a good distorted sound, but I am happy with the Clean, Crunch, Metal, and Insane channels on the amp. If anything, I would buy a fuzz pedal, but do you guys think an overdrive and distortion would be necessary? Also, my amp has delay, reverb, phaser, tremolo, and some flanger effects, which are activated using the knob. Is it worth it to buy effects pedals for each of these effects? I know it's more convenient, but is it necessary? If you guys have any tips on which pedals are most important to buy that would really help. Thanks
  8. Hey Line 6-ers. I've been a devotee for AGES, and I just thought I'd chime in on a Product I want to see Line 6 create. I Use a PODHD 500 for live gigs and have since they were released. I use the 4CM, and don't use any of the amp simulation. Because I love the sound of my amp. I've thought aboput trading across for an M13, since I only use the effects - but I still want/need for live gigs, the flexibility of more that 4 effects at once, and still flexible routing. AND 2 expression pedals like the old Flextone and Vetta Floorboards used to have. I thought it would be SICK to recommend a new product - and I'm interested to hear your suggestions for Line 6. Introducing - the M25PRO HD Stompbox Moddler. Features: - Up to 16 simultaneous FX, with flexible routing options. - Flexible FX Loop placement - Comprehensive I/O for live gigs - (FX Loop, ins/outs - pretty much like the M13) - Dual expression Pedals with Toe switch (Like POD HD) - Standard Line 6 Effects Selection (Everything that comes with M13) And here's the kicker: - Custom Effects: Kemper-style Profiling of your favorite pedals, and settings. So if you have vintage, or specific pedals you use, and you want to condense them into one device for a gig - you could record an IR of your own pedals and load them into the unit (Presumably 48 memory spots for custom effects.) I want one now. Grunge on! And don't say - Get an AxeFX...it's not the same thing. I don't want 8.5 million different amps, and effects and a $3500 price tag. But I'd easily pay $1000 - $1500 for a pedal board like this from Line 6.
  9. Hey everyone I think the topic title says enough. How do I conect stompboxes such as the behringer echo machine (to give an example) or other simualar stompboxes to my spider jam amp? I like the sounds and fx on the amp it self, but I would like to explore more options by adding more pedals. I'm kinda new to these stompboxes, I don't own one and I never had before? And just before I buy one I want to be sure it's possible to connect them on this amp. If it is possible can someone explaine how to do that? Thank you Greetz
  10. Obviously I'm not a mod of this forum, but i thought it would be cool start a tread that is only for posting how-to's in regards to taking other company & brand stomp boxes and emulating them on the HD500 & HD500X. Reason is, i chose to invest my money in the HD series gear, but i really love the sounds of the external effects pedals as well. Especially the Strymon stuff and on the amp side the Matchless amps as well as other amps like Bad Cat! But i don't want to buy all those effects or amps if the HD500(x) can do the same things! So i don't really have any other pedals or amps to start this tread off with but i'd be happy to start off with a request. 1. Is it possible to make a micro pog similar setting in the HD's? I know there is an octsynth thing that I've used quite a bit but it doesn't sound quite as nice as the micro pog. So there you go 1st question up! Thanks! Caleb
  11. Alright, I have a question hopefully someone can answer. I own a Line 6 Spider Jam amp and i want to make better use of the recording function by going hands-free. If i bought the fbv express mk2 would i be able to control my recording (start, stop, overdub)? via the footpedals or is that only possible on the fbv shortboard? Thanks Ben
  12. I'm using the Line 6 EP1 the mission. And each preset you choose the keywords for the POD HD 500X does not correspond to the numbers. and even replacing the former controllers. Volume 2 and 1 wah they do not work.
  13. Anyone have any experience with amplifi and iRig Blueboard? I'm looking for a simple solution to turn on/off effects with my foot while the app is running. I know I can have some control with the FBV boards, but I am personally not a fan.
  14. hello everyone, I recently borrowed from a friend of mine an Ibanez wah pedal and tried to connect it to my spider jam..Unexpectly no sound came through my amp..I tried ( at least I think ) everything..The connection order was like that : Guitar ---> Wah Pedal ---> Amp I also came up with the idea to set the clean channel to my amp but still nothing.. You know I am very very keen on that problem, because I want to start building my own stompbox slowly - slowly but I am not sure if this is possible..And I forgot to mention that the pedal is completely ok because I had a try on it on a Marshall amp... What am I doing wrong? Because if a great amp such a Spider Jam cannot support any other pedal from another manufacturer ,then AT LEAST it should be mentioned in the preview list for the customers.. Thank you , any shortcoming respond will be appreciated..
  15. Hey guys, I have recently purchased a Line 6 Spider IV 75. I'm now using it as a replacement of my previous amp, which is a solid state, non-modeling one. The thing is, I have tried to use a few pieces of my pedal board(which I have used before), and they just sound weird. The wah sounds ok I think, but the Boss DD-3 Digital Delay sounds distorted when I'm using it on a dirty channel. I have read before that analogue pedals don't work well with modeling amps, but shouldn't the delay just work ok? I mean it's not an overdrive pedal or something, which could affect the sound that much. There's no effects loop though, which might affect the tone, I think. Could you guys provide me some info on this? What's your experience with Wah / Delay pedals on Line 6 Spider IVs?
  16. If you are having trouble with one of our four-button stompbox modelers, please try the following. - Use a different guitar, cables, and amp to make sure they are working correctly - Remove all other pedals between your instrument and the amplifier. Ensure that: - The cables you are using to test work correctly by plugging directly from the instrument into the amplifier. - All jacks and nuts on the pedal are tight. - The unit is receiving sufficient power from the correct power supply (Line 6 DC-1 for Tone core pedals, PX-2 for Modeling pedals). Do not use old batteries to test pedals. For Tonecore Pedals: * Lighter taps will set the tap tempo function while a heavier foot motion will activate the pedals on/off function. Make sure that you are activating the switch to turn the pedal on by putting your full weight on the pedal (sometimes it take a while for the actuator switch to be broken in). * Try a different Line 6 module in your dock, and try your module with a different dock to see where the malfunction is. For Stompbox Modeling Pedal (4-Button): Reset the pedal by having the power plugged in and pressing the A & D ('Tap' on the DL-4) button when plugging in the left mono input. If you are still having difficulty you will need to get the unit repaired at an authorized service center. All Line 6 Pedals carry a 12 month parts and labor warranty from the date of purchase. Please take a copy of the dated proof of purchase to ensure the warranty is covered. Product Repair Line 6 Product Warranty
