  1. Originally, Pocket POD included a USB-mini cable that allowed for connection to the third-party editor software Vyzex. Please note that while the Vyzex editor software is freely available to download from www.Line6.com/software, it is no longer supported by its publisher Psicraft nor Line 6. As such, a USB-mini cable is no longer included in the box. We have found that a number of Pocket POD boxes mentioning the cable were shipped, despite those boxes not including the cable. For those in this scenario wishing to still use Vyzex, a USB-mini cable can be sourced at many online retailers. USB-mini cables are not available from Line 6.
  2. Hello all, I need a replacement for the battery compartment door for my Pocket Pod. Does anyone know where I can get one of these in Finland? I found only one store but they don't deliver my contry. Thanks for your help.
  3. Hey guys, I recently bought a Pocket POD and had it shipped overseas. I'm currently deployed and figured it would be easier than having an actual amp here. I wanted to maybe record onto my laptop, but I know you can't via USB and also unless I buy a speaker to plug into, the laptop mic isn't much use. Are there any ways to record directly into my laptop without buying a soundboard and things like that? I used to work at a recording studio when I was younger, but that was years ago and we had tons of equipment. Now I'm pretty limited on both equipment and space. I'd like to have direct access from the POD to the laptop to get the raw sound from the POD instead of recording into a mic. I appreciate the help.
  4. Hello. I own a Pocket POD with firmware version 1.01. I've been playing with puredata sending MIDI messages to the POD controlling things like volume and wah position. I'm facing something I believe to be a bug on the firmware. Upon receiving lots of MIDI messages (~9/sec), the POD reboots itself both on batteries and power supply. It shouldn't be a fault with my computer (I'm running everything on Linux Mint 17.2 with no additional drivers) since it works at smaller speeds. I tried resflashing the latest firmware 'just in case' today. Around 2 years ago I managed to burn an internal capacitor on it's power stage by misconnecting the power supply. Even tough Line6Hugo said "The Pocket POD is not repairable", I managed to replace the burnt component (which Line6 wouldn't tell me the value of). Everything works fine by now, except that my Pocket POD turns on even with no guitar plugged in, which for me is not a big deal. I just want to know if this is a firmware bug or hardware related. I'm willing to cooperate as much as possible, since MIDI is a supported feature and should be working. Thank you in advance. PS.: pic related. My pocket POD and a second capacitor I bought just in case I blow it again.
  5. So I've had my Pocket POD for a while, and it was working pretty well until it was dropped on a hard floor. Ever since, it randomly cuts out the sound (and the LED light freezes), which is sometimes fixable by jiggling the guitar input jack, or by giving it a few whacks. Otherwise, it just starts to fuzz, then emit a high-pitched sound, and then shuts off, then right back on again, working normally. Sometimes when this happens and I hit it, the screen just displays a few black bars on the left-hand side, which go away after a few more slaps. Oh, and when I turn my amp volume up, the POD seems to be making this crackly sound, kind of like a buzz. Is some of my hardware messed up? Please help me, I have a gig I want to jam at soon! Thanks a lot for your time!!
  6. Hi, I've heard on the internet that Pocket Pods can get damaged or break if they don't get the correct charger. Does it need to be Line6 official? Or just the correct voltage? I've seen this 9V charger on Amazon and it looks like it'll do the job: http://amzn.to/16Tl6Bt Will this be OK to use? Just want to make sure.
  7. Hi, I recently got a Pocket Pod and the silver belt hook on the back moves from side to side. I am wondering if it is supposed to do this, or if it's supposed to be rigid and just move up and down. Thanks in advance.

A: No, the Pocket POD is not compatible with any Line 6 or standard MIDI foot controller, as it lacks the CAT 5 or MIDI jacks necessary to connect a controller. Q: My Pocket POD is not powering up? 1) The POD was designed to work with standard (mono) 1/4" cables when the cable is inserted into the "input" jack. Check to make sure you are not plugging a TRS cable into your Pocket POD. 2) Check to ensure that batteries are inserted correctly and the springs are lining up. 3) Try using a supported power supply to see if the unit will power. If the unit powers up with an adaptor, try changing the batteries. Q: My Pocket POD reboots when changing power source while connected via USB? A: The serial number of your Pocket POD can be found inside the battery-housing compartment behind the top right battery. Q: How do I update the flash memory on my Pocket POD? A: Connect your PocketPod Via USB to your computer, then run the Line 6 Monkey application. If your software is out of date (or you want to reflash for trouble shooting purposes), you will want to update using the following directions. 1) Select the "flash memory" to highlight (in blue), then select "update selection". 2) If Monkey asks you to register your gear, you can select "remind me later". 3) Select "I Accept" for the software agreement and select "continue". 4) Follow the directions, then select "OK" 5) Select "yes" to continue. 6) Wait for the flash memory to update and be installed. 7) Turn your Pocket POD Off, then on, then select "OK". Q: My update stopped in the middle of the process? A: During the Pocket POD update using the Line 6 Monkey software on a Windows Vista (32-bit and 64-bit) machine, the update may stop and will not continue. This may occur on certain USB ports. This issue can be verified if the progress bar stops partway through the update. Note: If the update does stop, the system will not respond to requests to shutdown the computer, even after force quitting monkey. After disconnecting the Pocket POD, the system can be shutdown. The Pocket POD remains in boot mode after this occurs. Reconnecting to Monkey and re-installing the firmware update does recover the Pocket POD. Please make sure to test the Pocket POD on every USB port on your computer while troubleshooting this issue. Completely remove any USB hubs, even if not in use. PocketPOD Presets.pdf
