  1. Hey interweb. I recently updated Garageband, and now Pod Farm doesn't work. The old Pod Farm that's free, cause I'm cheap and it's been working great for me anyway. Anyway, when I first open up Garageband it tells me that the Pod Farm plug-in isn't available on my system. But it is, it's - it's right there. So then, when I open up the AU list, I can see that the Pod Farm options are there, but when I go to open them I get this error: "Failed to load Audio Unit, please contact the manufacturer for an updated version or further assistance. (-10110)" So. Will there be an update to Pod Farm 1.12 for Mavericks and Garageband 10 compatibility? Or am I now finally forced to get Pod Farm 2?
  2. I have a pod x3, so therefore I have access to full pod farm 2 when connected. I recently plugged in my x3 after it had been out for a while, and the only things showing up in both standalone pod farm 2 and plug in pod farm 2 are the free components. I have a track that I had a really cool effect that I DON"T want to try to reproduce and it's not loading with my project. I'm hoping it's just because it doesn't see the full pod farm, and that they'll come right back when I get it back. Any ideas as to why it's still not seeing the extras despite having my x3 plugged in?
  3. I'm just about to buy the pod farm 2.5 plugin and want to purchase metal shop with it, but at the bottom of the text it says:"This version of POD Farm does not support model packs." Does that mean I can't use it in with the plugin? I already have HD Pro, but it's lacking in metal amps. What do i need to do to get it? Cheers Kurtis
  4. Hi, For practice and experimenting with various tones I use a guitars via my Line 6 UX2 into my laptop and then into POD Farm 2.5 Platinum. I can also export my patches into my DAW, which is Reason 7, and use the Line 6 guitar and bass amps in that software. Now, I was thinking it would be cool if I could uses a small POD product (like POD 2) to plug into my practice amp but to also have the capability to transfer the tones from POD Farm 2.5 into the POD unit. Is this possible or is there a Line 6 product that will enable this. I don't want to go crazy on this as it is very much a practice set-up. I play through IV amp and have the M13 stompbox controller and a Digitech iPB10 pedalboard, so I don't need another expensive effects kit. Basically, I get a hugh amount of enjoyment out of the POD Farm and would like to expand its use by having the ability to download/transfer some patches/presets to another POD device. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks GM
  5. so Pro Tools 11 has been here for about a week. it has been known to the world for several months.. yet no matter how hard I search, I can't find anything that says whether Line 6 has even thought about Pod Farm AAX or not.. I know this company has been working on a lot of other things recently, but I'm really not that impressed with their maintenance of PF, which I use quite a bit (there are lots of obvious bugs in the RTAS version that should have been fixed long ago). is this product simply becoming obsolete so that neither Line 6 nor the general public really cares about its future? or are there others like me who love Pod Farm and are desperate to see it keep developing into a solid, modern product? sorry for the rant.. -Ben
  6. This is my first post so if I do anything wrong, I'm sorry before hand. I got a PODxt Live from a friend of mine who said I would need it more than him. I've got POD Farm 2 a while ago and used PODxt Live's usb input and processed it through POD Farm to get my tone. Before hand I used a First Act usb cable to record that gave raw guitar sound. I processed that into POD Farm and I got alright results (It had some noise to it but I just bit the bullet on that) but with PODxt Live, when I turn amp, noise gate, eq (basicly everything except for raw guitar) off, it sounds a lot softer and the sound of the clean is "crispier" (like crunchy-ish) and the distortions dont really have much emphasis as they did before hand. I of course googled the problem and spent about 2 hours watching videos and reading forums and manuals but didn't get much or any desired results. I won't say what I found because they are probably just going to make explaining the problem worse but if anyone can explain to me how to possibly fix this issue you would be helping a fellow musician greatly. Thanks again for reading! *P.S. the program I am using is Mixcraft 6 and my OS is Windows 7 (32 bit) if that helps at all
  7. Just purchased POD FARM 2.55 download. I have a Guitar Port. About half of the tones are "dimmed" and on those there are various cabs, amps, etc., that are transparent. (unavailable) When you click on them you get the error "This model is not authorized for use with the connected device. Use the model menu above to select a replacement model." I thought all the tones were independent of the input device?
  8. Hi guys, I purchased POD UX2 with POD Farm 2.5 included (Mac OS X 10.8.4 user) and I wish to add some free vst plugins I've downloaded (there are amps, pedals and cabinets simulations): is it possible to install/add them into the stand-alone software? Thanks. Matt93it
  9. I am using a UX1 which works perfectly fine for my guitar and recording in cubase for my guitar but now I am trying to record JUST vocals, my guitar isn't even plugged in and I can't figure out how to set it up I use Asio4all in cubase and can't even find VTS autobay in that to operate what I have found in so many things...but that's not the main problem (even though it is a problem.) I can't even get any audio in Pod Farm 2.5 I did what was suggested in one forum but it did nothing (simply opening the mixer...which doesn't sound like it would fix any problem) No I do not have a phantom power mic, so there should be literally no problem, but I understand it's obviously not plug and play like using a guitar. Help with cubase would be a godsend, but help with just being able to work with my mic in pod farm would be awesome and much appreciated. thank you, DSH
  10. I just got the POD Studio UX2 as a gift, and have been very excited to use it. Unfortunately, after setting it up onto my MacBook Pro, it hasn't been working right. I downloaded POD Farm and all of the software I needed, authorized my laptop and UX2, as well as installed all the drivers with Monkey so it's up to date. When I plug my UX2 into my MacBook, and my strat into my UX2, its two dials will light up fine, and POD Farm picks up the guitar's signal (I can tune it and the output meters will jump around when I strum). The problem is that it stops working after that. I get no sound out of POD Farm or any recordings I make on Garageband. When I use Garageband to record a line, sometimes it will pick up the guitar from the UX2, sometimes it won't, but regardless, no sound will play back when the UX2 is plugged in or unplugged. I have watched a few videos on setting up the UX2, and followed the instructions, which make perfect sense, but I'm still not getting results. I have switched the preferences on Garageband so that the UX2 is selected for audio output and input. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! I just want to get to recording some music
  11. Hi there! I am using POD Farm 2.55 as a Plugin in Sonar X1 64bit With a UX2 as Hardware I've used This Setup for a couple of years now, and never any real problems. Until now... I want to use the Dual channel mode in Podfarm. So I have 2 different tones running at the same time! Sound Great!! although, the track with the podfarm on it keeps "falling out" (wen I bypass Pod farm you get the clean sound of the guitar recording.) So I open Podfarm and you can see the green input meter, so the guitar track is coming in to podfarm. but no output meter. and wen you open the "mixer view" tap in pod farm you can see that the output meters (both tone A and B are stuck. Noting happens, just the green output meter on a certain level.( I experience the problem with the 32bit and the 64bit version of podfarm and Sonar X1 !) The only way to fix it at that moment, is to load the complete tone again, or to go to the "mixer view" tap and switch the Input from right to left of left to right (depends on what its on of course). But when I have done that, and I can hear the guitar again. 2 seconds later it has already fallen out! I tried a couple of things already, I saw that other people experienced this error with Sonar 8 as well. There solution was to turn of the 64/bit Double Precision Engine. but In Sonar X1 it does not seem to do the trick! Can Some one help me out here! I really want to keep using the Dual tone mode because is sound so great! Thanks!
  12. I have purchased the UX1 and POD farm, and downloaded the metal pack, a Presonus Firestudio, and pro tools 10, and I cannot figure out how to get my full POD farm to work with the presonus, it just loads the demo version, I can't access my metal pack or any of the rest of the stuff I've purchased. Also, WHY is it so freakin' hard to navigate the line6 support stuff? I find it extremely use UNFRIENDLY! It's like pulling teeth to get answers!! SO FRUSTRATED!!
  13. I received an email today to take a survey about their wireless systems, one of which I own, and I'd get a free Pod Farm 2.5? I took the survey, clicked the link, logged in and was told Error - free pod farm no longer available. What gives?
  14. Hello ! First of: sorry for my english !!! But I hope you will understand my problem :) I have recorded through Nuendo (used ux 1 as sound card without any simulation) when suddenly everything froze. I rebooted computer a turned pod farm on again a there was no input signal and no output sound. LED was green everything seems allright but no I/O signal. I tried reboot more time and plug to other usb but still lollipop. Can you help with that? thanx
  15. I would like help regarding an issue with my setup. I bought a Pod UX2 because I thought it was a great investment. I love the guitar recordings I can get out of pod farm and even bought metal shop because I love it so much. Ive become more professional lately and have wanted to get a better mic, which is where my issue is. I would like to get a Shure SM7B mic, however it requires more gain (I believe around 55 or 60 from what ive heard). and the UX2 doesn't appear to have that much. I think the ux2 has 20 and then 25 more with the phantom power? I might be wrong, id love someone to correct me on this. anyway my questions are. 1. Is there a way to get a shure sm7b mic to get preamped enough to record solid vocals with the ux2? 2. If I cant get the gain. I will need a new interface. But I would still like to use pod farm. can I buy a licence so I can use my pod farm and metal shop? or do I really have to buy them all over again. I would love help on this as I very much love line 6 products. but I need the required gain to record more than just guitar. Thanks!
  16. Hello everybody, I have been wanting to boost the quality of my recordings, so I was wondering if it is possible to have the following set up guitar >>> POD X3 Live >>> POD Farm 2.5 >>>> Cubase? What i want to do is to use the hardware in the X3 Live *WITHOUT* the sound emulation options, plugged into the computer. The sound emulation would come from the POD Farm 2.5 and, with Cubase 5 on, i would be able to record my stuff. Have the sound come from theguitar, use the X3 Live has an interface to transmite the sound signal into my computer, mod it in POD Farm and then be able to record it with cubase. thank you very much for the help.
  17. The GearBox Plug-In (AU, RTAS, VST) Effect license and software support has been discontinued since the release of POD Farm Plug-In Version 1.00 on October 29, 2008. Line 6 has not tested the GearBox Plug-In functionality with any newer DAW version releases since October of 2008. If you are experiencing issues trying to get the Plug-In Effect to work properly in current recording software programs, please use the latest version of POD Farm Plug-In software instead. For new users with no previous Line 6 USB hardware or license purchase history, the option in 2011 for a Line 6 amp modelling Plug-In Effect is to purchase the POD Farm 2.5 license and run that software version. NOTE: GearBox "Standalone" software usage is still currently supported for GuitarPort Online subscribers.
