  1. Hi, I have a Tone port UX2 and this include a pod farm, i can't install pod farm 1.12 in mac os x 10.13 High Sierra, when I install appears next message : "You can't install pod farm in this disk".
  2. Hey Line6 Forum. So i just Reinstalled my Win10 . And installed all the nessecary software for getting back on using PodFarm. But when i try to Authorize my Device or my UX2 the license manager wont recognize my Add'ons. Podfarm works and all but all my packs i used before wont appear in licence manager anymore. and when i try to install Add'ons the authorize failes with the "Error (Code 80000002) Invalid Parameters" Tried everything from Compatability mode and Administrator but nothing works. Im stuck with a useless audio interface.... The pictures shows me going through the authorize process. Anybody knows whats wrong??? Regards Jonathan
  3. I think that title says it all, but I have some specific ideas on how and why it might currently benefit Line6 to do this. My brother works in a similar hardware/software environment and said it would be super easy. Users just have to be willing to make it worth their while. Please, for your first post, vote “YES” or “NO.” Then, post again, so it will be easy to tally the vote.
  4. so this problem risen up when ive been using a thing called VoiceMod and the POD UX2 together i believe that this problem rises when you dont have your POD UX2 as the main audio for the mic or instrument, so that being said make sure that your POD UX2 is the DEFAULT DEVICE and DEFAULT COMMUNICATION DEVICE in your sound settings. -bottom right, right click the volume speaker -left click sounds -go to recording on the top -find something called Line 6 UX2 -make it both your DEFAULT DEVICE and DEFAULT COMMUNICATION DEVICE the problem hasnt risen since ive done that and i can freely use my guitar and use a wireless headset because of it. VoiceMod is free but if you want to change effects of your voice you do have to pay. as i said i can use my guitar and hear it through my wireless headset because i use hear My Voice feature thats on it. that being said as well you will need to set the buffer size to the lowest you can go so you can hear it about the same time but its not as good as the ToneDirect Monitoring that the POD UX2 gives but its been doing well for me as I just want to play around. To change the buffer limit -Go to windows search -look up Line 6 Audio-MIDI Devices -buffer limit is at the bottom -drag it to the lowest you can go -then click on the inputs & recording tab in the Line 6 Audio-MIDI Devices and do mic 1 & 2 -then in the ASIO Settings have Default Buffer Size & Default Buffer Depth the highest it can go If you want to hear your guitar with a wireless headset you need VoiceMod otherwise it wont work https://www.voicemod.net/ -Go to windows search -look up Line 6 Audio-MIDI Devices -then click on the inputs & recording tab in the Line 6 Audio-MIDI Devices and do instrument sometimes Instrument & mic 1 work but not always if you have the POD Farm its alot easier to switch back n forth and you should have any problems and you can also play guitar through the mic for people like on Discord can hear -then go to voice mod -go to settings -input device needs to be the Line 6 UX2 -output device needs to be your wireless headset Hopefully this helped some people because i did a lot of trail and error on my side and it just works
  5. Please help me diagnose the problem I'm having so I can finally, finally get recording. I have owned this product for close to 3 years and it still isn't doing anything for me. I bought the UX2 in the hopes that I could begin some basic, rudimentary, at-home recording. I plugged it in and installed it and it worked great -- right up until I started recording. Every single recording that I create with my UX2 sounds like garbage. I have not had the time or money to try a new box or new software after sinking hours and hours into this one, tweaking this and that in hopes that I might find the problem. When I play live, it sounds great on my monitor. When I record it, the recording comes out muddy, noisy, and greatly reduced in quality. I can't use any of this! Here are example recordings. When I play live, these tones sound great -- clear, rich, low-end performance-quality. Listen to them and tell me something isn't wrong with this product. https://www.dropbox.com/s/238lqudzkb96kym/33.wav?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/j464nw579nmeajc/22.wav?dl=0 Steps I have taken to fix the problem: 1. Changing DAWs. - I have used Audacity, Reason, Audition, Cakewalk, and Ableton. All of them have the exact same issue, so I have to conclude that it is either the box or the software. 2. Changing settings - I have checked the bitrate (16bits 44100) - I have recorded dry and then added Pod Farm effects as a VST. - I have checked volume and signal levels. - I have tried with and without distortion -- the loss of quality is the same with both. - I have changed windows settings to see if that's the issue. - I have run my programs by themselves with all other programs shut off in case it was a processor issue (my computer is fairly powerful, 6Gb ram, dual core 2.6Ghz) 3. Uninstall and reinstall - No change 4. Used the low-gain input - still a loss of quality.
  6. Version française. Deutsche Version. We have created an accompanying video tutorial for the License Manager below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=GStUee2cyz4 What is the Line 6 License Manager? Similar to online services such as iTunes or Google Play Store, the Line 6 License Manager allows you to authorize & manage all of your purchased Line 6 software licenses so that they function simultaneously with multiple computers and/or Line 6 devices. For instance, you can have a Mac computer, a Windows computer, a POD XT, and a TonePort, and be able to use your purchased licenses on all of them once the devices are properly authorized. This goes for new license purchases as well as purchases made in the past. Additionally, the Line 6 License Manager provides online access to your line6.com User Account, allowing you to reference your purchase history, register your gear, manage account options and more! The License Manager replaces Line 6 Monkey as the tool to use to manage licenses. Line 6 Monkey continues to be used as an updating tool for Line 6 devices. What devices work with the License Manager? A compatible device can be a Mac or Windows computer, or any supported Line 6 USB device that is connected. POD HD/HDX, POD Studio, TonePort, GuitarPort, POD X3 and POD XT devices are all supported for license authorization. Can I remove licenses from my Line 6 device or transfer them to a different Line 6 device? Since your purchased licenses are attached to your account, and not your devices, using licenses on different Line 6 devices is only a matter of authorizing the devices. NOTE: One exception is Factory Add-Ons. These are features that can only be used with the device it came with and cannot be removed from that device to be shared with your other Line 6 devices. For example, POD XT Live comes with an FX Junkie Add-On. After authorization, License Manager does not make that unit's FX Junkie available to your other authorized devices. In License Manager, Factory Add-Ons are displayed in italics once you've selected a device and goes on to say "these Add-Ons can only be authorized on this device". How many devices can I authorize? You can authorize your purchased license(s) to more than one device at the same time; however, your number of simultaneously active authorizations is limited to five. This limit includes four of the same type of device (i.e. four different UX-1 devices, or four different computers) simultaneously authorized. If you have reached the maximum number of allowable authorized devices, the License Manager will remind you of this. If this happens, you can Deauthorize one or more of your authorized (computer or Line 6) devices within the License Manager. This will then allow you authorize another device. You can authorize up to eleven unique devices over the lifetime of your Line 6 account. Additionally, the maximum number of Line 6 accounts that can authorize a specific device over its lifetime is limited to five. How do I authorize my device(s) for use with my licenses? Download and install the latest version of Line 6 License Manager for your operating system from the Line 6 software page. Go to the following link for software downloads: Line 6 Software downloads. Before launching the Line 6 License Manager, be sure to have your Internet connection active (and your Line 6 device connected, if you are using one). Launch the License Manager: On Mac® - Go to /Applications/Line 6/Line 6 License Manager. On Windows® - Go to Start menu\Programs\Line 6\Tools\Line 6 License Manager. Log in to your Line 6 account. Select the device you want to authorize for use with your licenses and click the authorize button. Once the authorization process completes, you may be prompted with a screen informing you that your Line 6 device includes some Add-Ons that need to be Installed on your device. If you are presented with this screen, click the Install button to proceed. If the Install button or the list of your software is missing, use the "Scan for Devices" button, or restart License Manager. Deauthorize then authorize again if these actions don't resolve the issue. At this point, you are able to use your licenses on your authorized device. Repeat this process with any of your other devices you want to authorize for use with your licenses. My Line 6 hardware is already authorized. How do I add my recently purchased software to my device? If you recently purchased software on your Line 6 account, and License Manager shows that your computer or Line 6 hardware is already authorized but does not show the new software in the 'Add-Ons' list, de-authorize the device(s) you want to use with the new software. Afterwards, authorize the device(s) to use the new software. I authorized my device(s), but I don't see anything under "Add-Ons". Are my licenses gone??? Your licenses are attached to your account until you gift them to another account. Click on the "Scan for Devices" button if they don't appear after authorizing, or restart the app. Can I use the License Manager to activate or manage RiffWorks or iLok licenses? The License Manager will manage the Line 6 version of RiffWorks, but not RiffWorks Standard, which requires a SonomaKey from Sonoma Wireworks. iLok licenses are deposited from your Line 6 account to your www.iLok.com account, but License Manager is not used to do this. Is an Internet connection required to purchase licenses and authorize devices? Yes, purchasing of licenses requires an Internet connection. After the purchase, License Manager must connect to your Line 6 account so you can authorize your device(s) for use with your purchased license. How do I deauthorize a device? To deauthorize an authorized device, select the device within Line 6 License Manager and click the Deauthorize button. When deauthorizing a Line 6 USB device, you may also be presented with an extra step to Remove the licenses from the device. If you are presented with this screen, just click Remove and wait for the Line 6 Server to properly configure your device. If anything happens to my Line 6 device, or my hard drive crashes, do I lose my licenses? No, your model packs will be safe. They are tied to your Line 6 account, not your Line 6 devices or the software installation on your computer. Your Line6.com user account maintains a record of all model pack purchases. In the event that your device needs repairs or replacement, Line 6 Customer Support will be able to deauthorize the faulty device as needed. I can't use my licenses anymore. What happened? Please understand that only the account that purchased the licenses will be able to access the licenses, regardless of who has the device containing the licenses. If you can't access this account, you won't be able to access the licenses contained within it. For instance, if someone bought a used POD XT that was authorized with a Metal Shop license, and at some point the buyer deauthorized the POD XT or authorized any other license, the Metal Shop license that was on the POD XT would be removed. The buyer would no longer be able to use Metal Shop because the buyer's account was not used to make the Metal Shop purchase. The seller would have to gift the model pack to the buyer's account (see how to gift below). Another case is a father using his Line 6 account to buy a model pack for his daughter. He'd have to gift the purchase to her Line 6 account for her to have access to the model pack. Another scenario involves licenses purchased online. Line 6 is the only authorized seller of licenses for use with Line 6 devices. If you purchased Line 6 licenses from anywhere other than the Line 6 website, the licenses were originally purchased using a Line 6 user account other than your own and the licenses have reverted to that account. The account owner would have to gift the store order to you in order for you to use the licenses you purchased from that individual. Line 6 plays no part in this situation. What if I sell my device? What happens to my licenses? If you intended to sell your licenses with the device, then you can gift the relevant store order(s) to the buyer. If you didn't intend to sell your licenses with the device, when the buyer runs the License Manager and logs in, it will prompt him to authorize the hardware, which will remove the device authorization from your account and restore the licenses for use with your account. How do I gift a store order? Use the License Manager to first deauthorize all of your devices. Next, log in to your Line 6 account, visit the Purchase History page, and click the Details link for the order. Click the link/button labeled "gift", then enter the destination Line 6 account username and click confirm. The order will still show in your account history, but you will not have access to the license(s) from the order, be able to return it, or be able to gift it again. The giftee's account will display the order on the Purchase History page, but not be able to return or gift it. The account holder will have access to all the license(s) in the order. After deauthorizing your devices and completing the gifting process, you can re-authorize your devices to use with any remaining licenses. NOTE: Model Packs purchased as part of an email promotion cannot be gifted. How do I return my purchased license? Line 6 will gladly provide a full refund of any Line 6 License order within fifteen (15) days of the order date. After 15 days, returns will not be accepted and no refunds will be issued. Please note: All Software purchased in a single transaction must be returned together. A refund for less than the full original order amount cannot be issued. Contact our staff at www.Line6.com/company/contact to initiate a refund. You must first have fully deauthorized all of your devices using License Manager before the return process can begin. After our staff has determined the devices are deauthorized, a refund will be processed. The completion of the refund process can take up to 5-7 business days, depending on your bank. Once you receive confirmation that the process has begun, you can re-authorize your devices to use with any remaining licenses. I don't see my connected device in License Manager. What's wrong? If you don't immediately see your connected device, try connecting it to a different USB port on your computer and click the Scan for Devices button. Additionally, disconnect all hubs and non-essential USB, Firewire, and MIDI devices from your computer. Turn off any other programs that may be running and de-activate all anti-virus software installed on your computer. License Manager says that there is no connection to the internet even though I am connected and able to access the internet normally. What's wrong? There are a number of issues that can cause Line 6 License Manager to not be able to connect with the Line 6 servers. The biggest offenders are pop-up blockers and surfing anonymizers. Please disable these tools if they are active during your session. Which server port does License Manager access and how does it need to be configured? Your server connections need to have port 80 or 443 outbound. Another option is to use a proxy server. What are the system requirements for the Line 6 License Manager? The Line 6 License Manager is compatible with the following operating systems: Windows: XP or newer Mac: OSX 10.4 or newer Line 6: License Manager: Häufig gestellte Fragen: Wir haben ein Begleitvideo in Englisch hierzu erstellt, welches Sie ganz oben finden können. Ihr Line6.com Benutzerkonto beinhaltet all Ihre Lizenzen.
  7. Hi all, First question posed to the Line 6 forums. Apologies if this topic has come up before but couldn't find it on here. I've recently bought a new iMac and wanted to install my Line 6 UX2. It was previously installed on my old computer (now dead). This iMac doesn't have a CD drive so I downloaded Pod Farm from the software section of this site. When it comes to installing said software and choosing where you want it to be installed it says that 'POD Farm can't be installed on this disk', despite this being a new machine and the HD having over 3TB of free space. And there is nowhere else you can select for the software to be installed. Has anybody encountered this before? And if so is there a solution? Many Thanks Mark
  8. Hello! I'm desperately looking for a way to perform ampless. And since I'm in love with the pod farm 2 plug-in presets, I was wondering if there are any Line 6 pedals (or other ways) which have the same presets (or better ones ;-) ). Without having to install a laptop and the ux1 setup live. Thank you in advance! Benjamin
  9. Hello there, Recently I started streaming and I'm using voicemeeter Potato to decide what goes to the live stream, what I hear myself and what's muted. The streaming program I use itself is OBS Live. Now my problem is that the Pod Farm 2.5 presets arent actually applied live. so the mic is just a dry mic, and the guitar is a dry guitar. So I'm thinking of 2 possible solutions: 1) Have pod farm process the sounds and apply the preset> send it to Voicemeeter>send it to OBS live to stream. or 2) Send to voice meeter>Send to OBS Live to stream> Apply the Pod farm x64 VST I've got no clue how to do option 1, to me this seems the best option(but what do I know.). And option 2, I managed to add the Pod farm 2 (x64) vst as a filter to OBS live, however it doesn't seem to do anything. No matter what preset I give it gives exactly the same sound. So here are my questions. 1) Which of these two options is the best? 2) How to make that option work, so that the pod farm preset is applied? Any help would be much appreciated, Thank you for your time to read & hopefully answer this.
  10. I had recently purchased the line 6 UX2 Tone Port. It is supposed to have come with a copy of pod farm. Which there was an actual disc that came in the box. This was a brand new purchase from musicians friend. However it was missing an activation code. I have called musicians friend three times, and I always get somebody overseas that says they will forward this to Line 6 in line 6 will contact me. It has now been several months, and I have received absolutely nothing. So I have my tone port, but I do not have pod farm. That is the main reason I purchased this particular tone port because it came bundled with pod farm. I hope that somebody from the Line 6 company will be able to rectify this situation ASAP. Thank you and I hope to hear back from you in this thread or on the email provided.
  11. Hi friends, since a number of years i am owning the Line 6 expression pedal (ex-1), that i want to connect to my KB37. As i remember i got it working one or two times with Gear Box (WahWah) but not in Pod Farm. After several restarts and maybe OS Upgrades (i started under XP, now we have WIndows 10), i cannot get it to work anymore. I have upgraded to the newest Drivers and Firmware using Line 6 Monkey. Has someone the same problem or can give me some hints? I attached the configuration as screenshot below. Is there a way to test whether it is possible to generally capture input signals from this LINE 6 Pedal? I have used the tool "Midi-OX" to check if midi messages can be captured and it looks like that it works (but not in Pod Farm). I've just found a post by myself from the year 2010 in this forum, where i was asking if the expression pedal feature has already been implemented in Pod Farm, because during that time it only seemed to be available in Gear Box. Has it been implemented now? With best regards and nice easter weekend Bjoern
  12. Need some help here if anyone will. I've been a Reason user for years and really loved it when Line 6 was a part of the rack instruments. I was sorely pissed when they decided to no longer support Line 6 products. Now that Reason has be upgraded to work with VST plugins I would like to start using Pod Farm in my recording again. Problem is that when I install the VST in Reason breaks it into a number sub-plugins (effects, amps, etc. etc.). I can set up a signal chain in the plugin, but a: cannot save it, and b. cannot load any of my Pod Farm presets. Anyone else run across this issue? Thanks in advance. db
  13. Hey all, first post here, hopefully I am in the right forum for this question. Can anyone here confirm if the amp models in the plugin POD Farm Platinum are the same as the ones that could be found in the POD HD500X or POD HD PRO X with the add-on model packs? Trying to figure out if the plugin or the hardware is the more reasonable purchase for myself. Thanks!
  14. Hi ! I've recently bought Pod Farm 2.5 hoping to make it work on Propellerheads Reason 9.5. I try to make everything work on an iMac on Sierra. I've found the directory containing the VST plugin, namely /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST/Line 6 but Reason can't find the plugins... I already use Kontakt Player as a VST plugin on /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST, without any problem. If anyone has a hint, it is welcome ;)
  15. Was unable to activate certain tone things that i can usually use so i went into preferences and enabled the ux2 in hardware and in midi and now i get no input and nothing after a pc restart. how do i fix this?
  16. Hi, 2006 Computer, Windows 7, POD Farm connected, Tone Port KB37, Reaper I connected HELIX to computer and installed the Line6 driver - Next steps : 1. Should there be a display of the Helix screen on my computer? 2. How can I have access to all the options (fx, amp etc...) of Helix on my computer? 3. Obviously I would like to record my guitar with Helix in Reaper (works fine with PodFarm/Tone Port KB37) Should I have to uninstall the POD FARM? What about all my songs settings? Waiting for your support, Thank you Alain
  17. I discovered that when I setting the reverb "Large Plate" (and only this one) mix to the MAX, (predelay : 0-30, decay : 0-30, tone : 100) I was getting an incredible sound for every style. Would anyone know what this is due to? It would help me reproduce that sound with a real amp or another software. I couldn't even get it with an HD500, only podfarm large plate with these setting work. Try it and tell me, because I can't play on anything else since.
  18. I'm migrating from hardware to software due to the all the great possibilities but there are some irritating issues. As an example I'd like to access the display directly from Ableton Live or a Max for Live plug in. I've been using an old FBV, as well as the FBV Mk2, connected to a Pod XT bean as translator. I've converted the incoming pgm chg to CC and let it control the chain selector in an audio rack. I'v got my audio rack set up pretty much as the Pod with Pod Farm amps controlled by A, B, C, D and the stomp, mod, delay etc by corresponding buttons. This works quite well and I can Send midi back to the Pod, by dummy clips, and it will display a name on the FBV corresponding to whatever name is entered to the patch number in the Pod. I can also use the tuner display on the FBV by using the tuner output on the Relay receiver to the Pod. However I'd rather use the FBV Mk2 through USB. Does anyone know how to access the FBV through USB (fake-midi)? I'm talking about sending to the FBV, not from. Could sysex commands be used? Obviously it's possible but how?
  19. I'm looking for the sound that is used in the intro of The pretender. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBjQ9tuuTJQ) I found a setting for the Line 6 Helix, (https://nl.line6.com/customtone/tone/3689170/) But I am fairly new to this, and am not sure if I can upload this in POD farm. If so is someone kind of enough to explain it to this noob? If not, and do you have a setting for this, could you help me out? (I started recording from home last month, and I want to re-record my first song, upload it with a vocal, drum, and bass track. You'd be helping me better this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGu-D-HXXFU)
  20. Hi, I've had the UX2 for a while and really like it. I've used it to stream and record guitar for some time, though always used a USB mic for commentary. I wanted to upgrade so have bought an XLR mic that I wish to use through the UX2 interface. However, I can have my streaming software (OBS) record the UX2 so that it captures both the guitar and mic, so that's no issue. The issue is that I cannot monitor just the guitar, while streaming/recording the mic audio. Is there a way to just mintor guitar, while capturing the mic audio also? Thanks
  21. Hello I recently purchased a UX1 went through all the troubles of authentication and everything else, I've been running it through cubase, and finally figured out how to set it all up and got it working and recordably playing through Pod farm 2.55 I then proceeded to accidentally unplug the UX1 while cubase and pod farm were both open, and my computer freaked out and crashed. Now when I go into cubase and set up all the device ports it shows audio in cubase in the mixer and on the track but won't record audio or play any audio through pod farm 2.5, although Pod farm 2.5 standalone works perfectly fine. I need lots of help. My friend who helped me set up the inputs in cubase doesn't have a clue how to get it to work now. (before I wasnt arming the record and arming the audio, but now I do and it still doesn't get any audio in podfarm vst.) there are a few pictures to show everything is connected right, and the last shows there is no audio playing in pod farm but its recieving it in cubase. thank you DSH
  22. Hello there! Im having an issue and i was wondering if anyone can help I have a ux1 and the podfarm 2.59/windows 10/ cubase 5.1 as stand alone, pod farm is working without any problems. Im recording dry signal with the ux1 in cubase 5.1 , so i can later adjust the sound however i want with the podfarm vst for some reason out of nowhere what ever i choose from the vst plugin , cubase just plays the recorded dry signal, its like Cubase is bypassing the plugin. ive tried re-installing everything but still didnt work..im sure its something very simple but i cant see it at the moment thanks in advance
  23. Base info: System: macOS Mojave 10.14.2 Hardware: MacBook Pro 2016, Line 6 Pod X3 Pro Line 6 driver version: 7.6.8 Line 6 Monkey version: 1.78 Line 6 License Manager version: 1.13 Line 6 Monkey does not recognize installed driver and connected device, same as License Manager. However Pod is avaiable in System Preferences as Audio-MIDI Device and works perfectly with Pod Farm 2.59. Because of problem with License Manager i cant use full version of Pod Farm. On Windows laptop everything works like a charm (via usb 2.0 and usb-c connectivity). Any ideas what is wrong with License Manager on macOS Mojave?
  24. Is there a POD Farm 2.5 demo that I can try out before purchasing POD Farm?
