Hi all I am trying to decide whether to buy Powercab 112 or 112 Plus (...or Headrush 108 or 112...). Can Pod GO control Line 6 112 Plus speaker by MIDI in the same way that Helix can? I mean - can I set Pod GO to control the Powercab Plus speakers? I understand that Line 6 POD GO has a basic MIDI over USB functionality but I cannot find a straightforward answer to this question anywhere. Thank you for your help.

Hi, for about one week I have a problem with my pod go. If I start the unit up and want to start playing, I sometimes do not get any sound out of it. Going into the tuner mode it does not show that I am playing anything, which makes me think it is more a problem of the input. However, if I restart the POD it will work then. I am just a little worried because it seems something is not alright. Maybe someone has encountered something similar and knows how to fix it.

I intend to use a TRS 1/4" > XLR adapter cable for a balanced connection to mixer. Is Pod Go at risk if there's phantom power coming from the mixer? Or is it safer to use a DI box? Thanks in advance for any assistance with this. Cheers:-)

Really digging the Pod Go so far - loving the ability to control just about every parameter from the foot switches and pedal. However, it seems that toe switch behaviour is not adjustable. Just wondering if it’s possible (now or hopefully in the future) to invert the toe switch polarity in order to turn a block OFF instead of ON when Volume is activated? It would be ideal to be able to specify this behaviour for each individual block, but even a global setting would be great. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide in regards to this. Some users have reported a Windows error message that appears when attempting to launch the POD Go Edit software. This is not an error with the POD Go software itself, but rather a Windows error. Does it have a line out? Asking because I want to directly connect the POD Go into my Focusrite solo's line input (guitar input). Would it be the AMP OUT? Or the MAIN OUT?

In the Pod Go manual and online support it says that the AMP OUT "echoes the MAIN OUT". However nowhere does it mention (including on the back plate of the PodGo) if this means the AMP OUT output can be balanced (TRS) or unbalanced (TS) in the same way as MAIN OUT. Does anyone know if a balanced as well as unbalanced output is possible through AMP OUT? Thanks!

I have a DT50 212 and recently picked up the pod go. I'm attempting to use the 4 cable method (yes, I am sure I have the cables routed correctly). It seems like I am not getting any tone from the amp (none of the controls affect it, including drive, channel vol, and master volume) and the only way to change the volume is with the volume knob on the pod go. I was hoping to be able to use the amp tones in the amp and use the pedal for drive/boost and wet effects. I have even disabled all of the effect blocks and the amp/cab blocks in my Pod Go preset, and nothing changes. What am I missing?

Greetings friends. I have had this little unit for about a week now and am almost done learning all of the tricks and possibilities it has and can do and am loving it. I'm surprised how well done the interface and usability is with this thing. They weren't kidding when advertising it as 'Ridiculously easy to use'. However I noticed some room for improvement regarding the footswitches in stomp mode. To cut right to the chase - I'd love to be able to edit and change the color of the 'footswitch LED'/'stompbox in the LCD' as well as have the option to rename the block to whatever I desire Why you might ask? Well if you assign and merge a few blocks into one switch it just reads 'MULTIPLE (2)' or whatever number of stompboxes or parameters you assign to that footswitch. The color also becomes white. While it's all fine and dandy with one, what if I'd want to do that with all six footswitches? Then I'd have six almost identical looking switches. And what if I do that with all of the available presets? It would be quite difficult to remember what is where after a while. A combination of a color and some text would make life a lot easier. This is not a rant or anything, the unit is quite versatile as it is and this isn't a huge issue, It's just my two cents which might be interesting to a lot of other people as well. So regardless of the possibility of Line6 implementing something like that with a firmware update in some distant future, the point of this topic is this: How do I even get this idea to their developer team for at least a consideration?

My sound system is mono. In my signal chain, I still want my delay and reverb to be post amp and cab. If I use the mono output (L), will my delay and reverb automatically collapse into mono or am I only get half the signal on those post amp effects? Alternatively, I could add a compressor to the end of the signal chain but I don't always want to use up an effect block just to get a mono signal. Any recommendations?

I see there are options for acoustic and classical simulation presets for Helix.. any for the Pod Go yet?

Can I connect the Pod Go to a normal HiFi amplifier? Maybe through the headphone output? I would like to integrate the Pod Go into the existing hardware in the living room. Thanks.

Here are the common button combinations for POD Go when attempting a factory reset or troubleshooting. To perform any of these, start with the POD Go turned off, then flip on the power switch while holding down the buttons below for 5-8 seconds. It's helpful to have your presets backed up or saved to your PC or Mac computer, before performing a factory reset. C & D - Factory Restore (Restores all factory settings) A & B - Clears Everything (Clears all presets, factory settings will not load) PAGE > - Update mode (helpful for any interrupted or failed updates) If your POD Go is booting up in Demo Mode (shown on display screen during power up), see below to resume normal mode: Hold down Bank/Preset Down and "D" footswitches during power up

Hello to you all. Hope you all are doing great in there very strange times we live in right now. My question relates to the new Pod Go and maybe members of the Helix family as well. We are just collecting information at this point, The Guitar player in our band will be using both an electric and an acoustic guitar during our gigs. The acoustic will have internal piezo pickpus. I guess this scenario is quite common. The plan is for the guitar player to be able to embed guitar management logic into the device he will be using .... To make an example with Pod Go ... Both the Electric and Acoustic guitars are connected to the Pod Go at all times Only one of these guitar is active at any given time. Preset X on the Pod Go will open up for the Electric Guitar to pass through the Pod, and close out the Acoustic Preset Y on the Pod Go will open up for the Acoustic Guitar to pass through the Pod, and close out the Electric As for the Pod Go... I guess we will have to use the Guitar input for the Electric Guitar, and the Effect Loop Return for the Acoustic guitar. For the Electric guitar .... I guess everything is fine But for the Acoustic .... Do we need to do anything to prep the signal from the Acoustic before it enters the Effect Loop Return Jack .... (the acoustic is a mono source, and is expecting a hi-z input) We are aware that the Effect Loop Return can be set to instrument level. Hope someone here has some clever ideas Additional information: We plan to use the Amp Out port on the Pod Go to feed a voice processor that accepts the Guitar signal to manage and guide additional Harmonic voices generated in the Voice processor.The Guitar management feature then becomes important, as no cables needs to be dis/re connected to get the Voice harmony function to work. Hi! I am an amateur guitarist in search for a good modelling processor. After some reading, I have boiled down my options to two Line 6 products: the HX Stomp and the Pod Go. They are in the same price neighbourhood and seem really nice. What should I go for? My criteria are: 1) Good build quality and reliability. 2) Good tones (duh), but as far as I understand the two devices are identical from this perspective. 3) Good headphone listening quality (I want to practice when I am away from home). 4) Good interface. The FX Loop and Preset EQ blocks are automatically assigned to stomp switches, and adding any additional effects automatically assigns them to the remaining stomp switches. Is it possible to not dedicate 2 of the switches to the FX and EQ functions and instead use those switches for other blocks?

What’s the deal with POD Go? POD Go is Line 6’s all new next generation POD, built to toss into your backpack or carry-on and take anywhere. Oh, and it’s incredibly easy to use—might be the easiest POD since the original POD in 1999. How much can you run simultaneously? Each preset in POD Go includes the following blocks: Input with Noise Gate Amp or Preamp (all HX models) Hybrid Cab from Helix—OR—1x Impulse Response (up to 128 user IRs can be loaded into POD Go via the Mac/PC editor) Preset EQ (any HX type) Wah (any HX type) Up to 4 additional effects (any HX type), with the following caveats: Three HX effects models have been omitted due to their size (Tone Sovereign, Clawthorn Drive, and Cosmos Echo) All Distortions, Dynamics, and Pitch/Synth blocks are mono only All other effects are stereo only Volume Pedal FX Loop (mono or stereo) Output with Volume and Pan The FX Loop and Preset EQ blocks are automatically assigned to stomp switches, and adding any additional effects automatically assigns them to the remaining stomp switches. Press and hold any two stomp switches to swap them. If it has nearly all models from HX and Helix products, why call this a POD at all? The original POD set the standard for ease-of-use in digital guitar and bass products. We wanted POD Go to be ridiculously easy-to-use, which meant purposefully omitting some power user features one would expect to find in HX or Helix-branded products. And not putting the best modeling possible in a box just because it happens to be less expensive—or have a different name—is weak sauce. Why didn’t you put VDI, L6 LINK, AES/EBU, S/PDIF, MIDI, parallel paths, dual DSPs, cap-sense switches, scribble strips, blah blah blah?! Because POD shouldn’t cost what Helix costs. What about some of the cooler Helix features like Snapshots, color switch rings, block copy/paste, 3-second footswitch assignment, 3-second controller assignment, multichannel USB audio, and re-amping? POD Go has all of these. So can you use this on professional gigs? Of course. The main outputs on POD Go are balanced/unbalanced and with TRS 1/4” to XLR M cables, can feed the front-of-house mixer—in stereo—without additional DI boxes. Then the 1/4” AMP OUT can be sent to your amp onstage (either echoing the Main Outs or tapped off before the Cab/IR block). The routable stereo send/return jacks can be used for 4-Cable Method. Is there a Mac/PC editor? Yes. POD Go Edit is available now. Does POD Go have an audio interface? Yes. POD Go has a 4-in/4-out audio/MIDI interface with re-amping built in. What kind of build material is used in the POD Go chassis? The top panel is folded steel, the treadle is cast aluminum, and the underside is sturdy ABS polycarbonate, to lower the weight and provide a convenient carrying handle. How do you reset the POD Go? Hold buttons C + D while powering on. What are the POD Go headphone specs? Headphone signal to noise ratio is 108dB. The headphone output impedance is 63 ohms. POD Go Input/Output Impedance Chart: Does POD Go convert IR files to certain specs? POD Go converts all IRs to 16-bit/48kHz/Mono. Why is there no audio when the FX Loop is turned on? If the FX Loop block is turn on and there is nothing actually in the loop, POD Go will mute. This is normal behavior when using the FX Loop block. Simply bypass the FX Loop block, and audio will come back. Are POD GO drivers compatible with ARM-based CPUs for Windows? No, currently our drivers have not been tested for the ARM chip or any ARM-based CPU platforms such as Snapdragon. Check with your computer's hardware to find out compatibility: In Windows 11: Open Task Manager → Performance → CPU. It will show the CPU name (e.g., “Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3”). You can then look up the model online. If it says Qualcomm Snapdragon for example, it’s an ARM chip. Dimensions/weight? Is it smaller than POD HD500X? 14.1”w x 9.1”d x 3.5”h; 5.2lbs It’s way smaller and lighter than POD HD500X. Fits inside pretty much any backpack or carry-on. What’s the price?
